I like the dandruff analogy. I always think of it as pulling out your teeth instead of brushing them.

That's a good idea. I don't know why others insist on fighting him and looking like a retard. Pragmatism > "Honor"

As a 5'7 guy what the fuck could I do if some man mountain did this to my girl? If someone gave me some verbal shit I would usually sarcastically smile and show I don't care at all about what the other person thinks. I lift and I'm in good shape but I have no idea what I could do in that case other than getting in his face and verbally calling him out.

How did you put your acquaintance into place? From my experiences with roommates/friends you can never EVER sound butthurt or take their argument seriously if you know that what they're saying is bullshit. I normally dismiss it or laugh at myself. Normally to take the wind out of someone's sails I'll wait until they do something stupid/funny I'll point it out and make a joke about it. Otherwise I find it much easier for me to do it to defend someone else whose falling victim to the same shit (us…

Compared to how I used to be I'm much much better concerning this thanks to the work I've put in. I'm always looking to improve this however. How do you personally "Care less" about what other people think? It's so much easier said than done.

I'm very new to this but obviously you're doing something differently to the more attractive girls. You may not see any dip in confidence but maybe it's some other behavior?

I'm normally a very reasonable man. I've never fought anyone outside of self defense. Maybe the guy wasn't being a dick. For whatever reason there was something about his mannerisms that seemed super condescending and it caused me to remember someone who used to give me a hard time which in turn caused me to think so irrationally. If we're being real I think a part of me has an issue with fear aggression. Like I said I used to be bullied often (physically and emotionally). I can get nervous if a…

The concept of frame is new to me but otherwise I lift/workout 5-6 days a week and I've been putting myself outside of my comfort zone more frequently by going to public speaking clubs and standup. I don't mind failing for exactly the reasons that you stated. But what I'm looking for specifically is to develop thicker skin when some random person is being a dick to me. I know that my reaction was unhealthy. I liked what frerri said about thinking of everyone as a friend. It will be difficult to …
