I fully agree. They will never change and I’m glad I didn’t fall for that where in the past I would have. And I agree with you that it is so easy to get sucked back in. Undoing those thinking patterns are so critical. Thank you so much for sharing that article. Along with FDS handbook this will be another reminder on my list!

Agreed! In all jobs I’ve worked the women were more competent and did most of the work. The men would use every excuse to get out of work. When new projects would come up the men would be the last to pick them. None of these slackers got promoted. One of them complained he never got a raise or bonus. Well if you would work like you had a job to do maybe you would get that raise or bonus.

I’m so happy to hear about your therapist! I hope to make the same level of emotional and mental growth with my new therapist.

Same! I I am deathly afraid of pregnancy and childbirth. 9 months carrying another human inside your body. Not to forget postpartum depression, changes to your body and organs, being in labor for x amount of hours, emergency c-sections, etc. PMS and my period are hard enough.

I’ve always wanted to adopt but I have been discouraged out of it. I would love my adopted child just as much as a biological one, especially if I raised it from infancy. People have told me, you will never love a a child that isn’t yours. Bullshit! Glad I’m childfree. One day when I’m financially capable, would love to adopt.

Not sure about a nurse, but this week an EMT was outed by the New York Post for having an OnlyFans. The journalist called her employer personally as well to report her. I am not sure if she’s been fired yet, but she’s gained enough publicity that AOC commented on it. I was an EMT. Despite how crucial EMT’s are for the health care system, they are paid so little. It is backbreaking due to the strain on your body and soul crushing considering the horrors you see. Never mind the pandemic that has p…

Thank you so much for this breakdown. First, I want to say, I love the analogy of war. Dating is war. We have a lot at stake and winning is the ultimate goal. Secondly, thank you for defining security. Know who the guy is and always be one step ahead of him. Do a background check on the dude. Sometimes a simple google search can pull up some interesting stuff on people. If you have connections, find out what you can. Lastly, being ruthless! We have so much more to lose in the dating game then me…

Aside from the tongue-in-cheek reference to Parks and Rec, this is a welcome sight. Hopefully this filters out the scrotes, but they might see this as a challenge and still go for it. We have the best OLD, because of blocked.

Omg thank you so much for calling this out. Men’s emotions are everything in our society and the world at large, to the point where women are told not to provoke them. How many women are told she deserved to be hit because she wouldn’t keep her mouth shut. Even the non-violent ones can’t manage their emotions. They stonewall because they can’t discuss important topics or use “macho” behavior to intimidate people. Men never had to suppress their emotions. In fact, men are encouraged to use their …

Yep. They were originally dating and he just stayed, under the guise of “seeing how they work out”. She hasn’t kicked him out, and they’re still together. The relationship is far from functional (moved in his mother at some point) but she’s determined to stick it out. This is by far not the only case I’ve witnessed (this has happened to 2 other friends, and they kicked those guys to the curb, after running around in circles asking them to nicely leave). It’s very different from a couple deciding…

And how she ended getting back with Chris after he dumped her without her knowing it 🤦🏾‍♀️. I thought she was a recovering pickmeisha after she started dating herself but went back to Chris again!

I watched this last year and so much of what he said is true! People trying to fit someone into lives when they clearly don’t fit. His comedy lead to hundreds of breakups and divorces.

Thanks! I learned it mostly from my mother but also my aunts and my mother’s friends. We never ate out as kids so the norm was to cook most meals.

I was cooking full on family meals for a family of 7 (parents and siblings) by the time I was 13. Still cook today as an adult because I like making the food I grew up on, saves me like $200/month, and doesn’t make me gain weight. Plus, I enjoy cooking! Somehow it relaxes me.
