It took me a while to find a competent shrink. One that was willing to help me manage the issues that arise from being transsexual on top of managing my bipolar and anxiety. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to find a good fit. I personally prefer male shrinks as well, I find them easier to open up to.

I left queer spaces because of this, the constant shitting on masculinity and the misandry disguised as empowerment is awful. I couldn't take it anymore, I felt hated for being masculine. As a trans dude it's tough.

Same! With everything... There has been a shift in the community but that doesn't mean we're less deserving of rights, the community is having awful growing pains

Well said, I also noticed how the LGBT community loves shitting on masculinity (unless you're a butch lesbian or AFAB NB). I came out back in 2013 and seeing the community embrace misandry, enforce gender roles, and become a hive mind makes me sad. When I say "enforce gender roles" what I mean is I've seen members of the LGBT community push the trans label on cis gender nonconforming individuals. Telling them that they must be trans and erasing GNC cis people. I don't recognize the LGBT communit…
