22 years old and 12 girls. 11 at 18, then had two recent LTRs.

You are the captain 100%. She's a sailor for hire. It's up to you to make her want to stay on your boat. The only decisions she makes are in reaction to whether or not you are a good captain. There's two scenarios: A) You are a great captain, she trusts you to lead her and she stays by your side B) She doesn't feel safe with your ability to lead and she jumps ship Briffault's law states she has the power to leave, but you have the power to determine whether or not she does.

One thing I never get with him is when he talks about other dudes fucking his girl and he wouldn’t care. I don’t really see that mixing well with the rest of his solid RP views. Anybody have an explanation or opinion on this?

I do this whenever we’re together! We’re both in school and working so we don’t always see each other. This usually happens when she texts me telling me she loves me during the day, or when she calls me before she goes to bed for 5-10 mins sometimes. She’ll say it before she hangs up and waits for me to say it back to her.

So would you suggest my own place if I wanted to live closer to her? She can’t move right now as she’s tethered to her grad program. I can, this is why I ask.

No, I will not be on the lease. It’s her parents property, they own a few apts and let her stay in one. She doesn’t pay rent and neither would I. The getting experience thing was my line of thinking here. Especially with this one girl. If it all goes to shit and I realize I can’t tolerate living with her, then I get out of it before I start grad school. I see this as a good opportunity for further screening of this girl and “seeing her mask fall off” so to speak. I’m not stuck in oneitis and wil…

I try to give things more thought than blindly follow rules that say “never do x” Was wondering if anyone has anything to offer on the circumstances I wrote and why or why not it makes a difference.

What would be the best alternative then? I’m looking for advice here

Anything that shows any thought to say? I made it clear I read and understand the reasons why it’s a bad idea. How do I handle telling her I won’t move in if that’s what I decide? She wants it to happen very badly

Thanks, that makes sense. I think I do that at times to overcompensate for the weak attitude I had with this stuff before I found TRP.

Replying to the edit: She asked if she could call me before bed to say goodnight. I said that I was driving home and would be able to talk in 10 minutes. She said “okay, well I took NyQuil so I’ll just go to bed now, goodnight” I replied saying alright, you really can’t wait 10 minutes? That’s disappointing. Talk to you tomorrow.” She then asked if I was being serious, I said yes, she texts the text in the original post.

Stupid shit like when she just stops talking to me with no explanation, or acting like she’s not interested even when she constantly tells me how much she loves me and can’t wait to see me again. Or being bitchy with me for something that happened to her during the day. Being a bitch because she’s “tired” or “doesn’t feel good.” And recently gave her shit for being a complete asshole towards me on NYE when she got drunk. Childish shit I don’t want to put up with.

Also, it was about 3 months in that I started telling her and showing her what I do and don’t like. Halfway through our 6 month relationship. So 3 months before, and now 3 months since I began incorporating TRP into this.

I will always consider just walking away. However, not yet. How would I proceed with this if I want to stay with her? Maybe back off with the demands and more slowly take issue with things?

I haven’t honestly. In reality it’s the same issues over and over again and she doesn’t change her behavior at all. If I was being bitchy over things that are trivial things to her, what’s the play? Stop caring about said things even if she doesn’t change them? That seems like I’m conceding to her.

I once heard someone say: “Never argue with women. If you argue you with women, it only means you don’t understand women” and I think understanding how they communicate and how they will respond is EXACTLY what this means.

So OP, you’re implying that instead of arguing with a plate/LTR, just hit the brakes for much better results?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
