I know and understand why TRP says it’s a bad idea (unless 6 months before marriage or after marriage) given Rollo’s iron rule #4.

I live far away from my LTR right now, and she has recently asked me to come stay with her at her place this for the next year, beginning in June when i graduate college. She’s in grad school, I’m not yet and will be applying to schools this coming year. Living closer to her would be a big positive as we could see each other way more than we do now.

At first, I was reluctant but have given it more thought lately. I wouldn’t be signing a lease or be bound to living there in any way. If it doesn’t go how I want, I’ll leave. I’ll be getting a job in the health field and studying for my grad entrance exam until July. She’s in grad school and also working part time on the side, so we’ll both be very busy.

Also, once I get into grad school I’d be moving out anyway. She knows this ahead of time as well. I’m really not seeing a downside to this particularly arrangement and I feel like a lot of the normal downsides are guarded by the fact it’s 100% non-binding and also a temporary thing. Let me know what you think. She’s been both overtly and subtextually showing that she wants it to happen.
