I really starting implementing everything I was learning from FDS so as a result, I was blocking nearly every single guy I matched with on dating apps because they only offered dates that weren’t up to my standards. The offers for walking dates, the constant sexual harassment, and getting bailed on last minute by dates who who would ghost the day of our first date just made me lose all interest in online dating.

Man I wish I had advice. I had a roommate like this around the same age, she would get very drunk / blackout then have rough sex and come home the next day bragging about it and joking in the same way. It made me super uncomfortable cause a lot of her sex stories just sounded like straight up rape but it was all a joke to her. And tons of unprotected sex too and frequent STIs which she also laughed about. Then she would complain about getting concerned looks from health professionals.

My experience since finding FDS is almost exactly the same. I date but have no desire to be intimate with any man anytime soon and my sex drive has been dead since the pandemic. I also used to have casual sex but I don’t feel like I relate to that person anymore.

I think if he’s a boring texter than just block. Personally for myself I’m not much of big texter, i’d rather just text to check in every now and then and to make plans. I feel like he texts you pretty often but if he’s annoying you just move on I think

I’ve had the exact same thought process. I find there are a lot of similarities between OLD and food delivery apps like Uber Eats. I’m sure a lot of you have had the experience of a man wanting to see you the exact same night after matching. If you decline but let them know another night could work, they disappear. I’ve had this happen several times... You wouldn’t want to wait days to order a pizza. I really think that’s how some of them see it, Uber Eats pussy. The audacity.

I went on a coffee date by accident the other day because I wrongly assumed he was bringing me somewhere we could grab lunch. I sat there for less than an hour and then announced I was bored and going home. Don’t be like me, look up the menu before heading out, because these men are clowns 🤡

I recommend the site CosDNA for searching up products and their safety. It’s really useful, and you find the vast majority of products on it. you can also copy paste list of ingredients from cosmetic websites to search multiple ingredients at once. There are forums there where people share scientific studies about the safety of ingredients.

This reminds of conversation I was having the other day with two female colleagues. We were talking about dating, and the two of them said they often offer to pay for dates. I said I never do and they looked at me like I was crazy. I asked what if he makes $70,000 a year while the woman makes less than $30,000? One said she would still offer to pay because we’re “all adults.” 😬

“Porn use is addictive, and you shouldn’t shame or vilify your partner if he uses...” We should shame them. I read a recent study that mentioned 40% of all internet porn involves violence towards women. Men don’t face enough repercussions for engaging in this kind of behaviour.

My sex drive has dropped so much since levelling up!! is anyone else experiencing this? I do have my struggles with my mental health, which could explain this, but I think the bigger reason is because I’ve come to the realization that relationships with the majority of men simply aren’t worth pursuing. I used to day dream all the time about having a boyfriend, to the point where it would interfere with my life, because I wouldn’t be able to sleep at times because I’d be debating why some emotion…

the labels guys use on ok cupid never make any damn sense... how can you be “non-monogamous” while at the same time being “open to monogamy”? if you were truly non-monogamous, you wouldn’t be willing to entertain a monogamous relationship at all. These guys don’t understand what these terms even mean. They use the terms interchangeably like you can be one label one day and a new one the next lol.

I believe they misinterpret and take it that we’re promoting playing games while dating. Women who have been played by men worry that by following these tactics, they could be hypocritical, playing games the same way many men do. They don’t understand our tactics revolve around drawing healthy boundaries and self-perseveration. They strike me as the type to wear their heart on their sleeve, and fail to realize that makes them more vulnerable for abuse and unfulfilling relationships.

tbh I cannot know with 100% certainty, but I was removed from the app after I cancelled a first date with a guy I was talking with there. I think he was the one who reported my profile. Right now dating apps are full of guys looking for a girl who will come over quick, or someone desperate enough to go on a pitiful “walking date” with them. lots of Guys are also trying to rush us into coming over to their homes faster than usual and using the pandemic as an excuse to disrespect our boundaries. I relate to this so intensely right now! Just this month I had FIVE men do this to me — making plans and then disappearing the day we supposedly had plans. Four of the five I had started talking to through OLD. I’ve deleted the app and I’m taking a break from dating because I’m just so fed up. Making plans with my female friends is always stress free. Yeah. I admit my feelings about this are pretty mixed. I can only date a guy if he’s financially stable. At the same time, I have mixed feelings about thinking of poverty as a facet of “low valueness” because cities have the power to put limits on the cost of living but they choose not to, giving freedom to property owners to increase rent as much as they like. I don’t believe we can see this as a problem with the individual.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/09/20 03:00 PM
12

I don’t think that makes you low value. I think what matters is what you’re doing to heal. Taking care of yourself and focusing on your recovery is high value. Doing nothing to better yourself, as a lot of guys do refusing to seek help, would be low value.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/09/20 02:45 PM
11

I agree with most of it. in my experience, having to live in a poor neighbourhood was due to the city itself having a high cost of living. It’s not a reflection of success. I was financially stable but that doesn’t mean I could afford good stable housing. edit: also I don’t think I agree that being poor makes you low value. Seems like some classist nonsense.

Girl the same shit happened to me when I was 19. I was inexperienced with dating. One day a guy I’d met one time at a party started talking to me on Facebook. We started talking all the time and I was just absolutely obsessed with him. The catch: he refused to meet me for months despite asking me to be his girlfriend (which I declined). As sad as it is I was led to believing there was nothing abnormal about having sex after a few dates. People actually believe waiting till the third date is ideal... I write this today at a complete loss as to why I thought that was ever acceptable. I thought sex was just part of the “getting to know each other” process. I got used a lot because I was naïve. edit: I still never understood the frequency at which women are giving it up on the first date though, as is mentioned in the article.

I think being feminine is about so much more than wearing make up. It’s also about how you carry yourself in the world, and not just your looks. I think a lot of feminine women would agree. I think men want someone who is healthy, and that doesn’t equate a perfect model figure.

Don’t let them think you’re desperate for a relationship. Be more discreet. Make them feel like they’re never certain what you want. Men like whoever isn’t immediately available to them.

I stopped drinking several months ago, and for the first time ever, when the lockdowns came into effect I started exercising. I honestly have a perfect waist, and have been managing my depression really well too these last few months. I’ve always appreciated the way I looked even if men who were previously in my life didn’t appreciate me.

Why should she offer a relationship so soon? She’s going to sound too eager. Not a good look. At this point, she should be vetting, not imagining a relationship.

girl, I’ve been in your position before so I understand. But you need to ghost asap because you’re making a really bad impression here. You chased him and he pressured you into sexual activity. He is not going to change. From your perspective it might seem like it happened accidentally, but I can assure you, sex was in his plans from the get go.

Pushing for long text conversations right from the bat makes you look too eager. Maybe save that for the phone or if you meet in person? A lot can be misinterpreted over text. You might reveal too much.

I used to do these in my pick me days, ladies these “walking dates” are always super awkward. never do them lol (not that I need to convince you). most men are awful conversationalists, so when an actual activity is removed from the equation, all you’re stuck with is their mediocre personality.

this is exactly how I feel. I get stared at constantly in public. I get a lot of attention from men. but it’s rare they ask me out unless I go on OLD (which I’ve since decided to delete). there’s a whole pandemic going on. I get that I’m desirable and there’s many takers, but realistically how the hell am I supposed to meet someone now? My university closed. I can’t even make friends through work because that’s remote too. my social circle has shrunk with friends moving away, me moving cities my…

This was back in my pick me days, before I learned you shouldn’t travel long distances for a date... We met on OLD. I took a 40 minute ride on public transit to come all the way to his area. We meet in his work car. He looked way older than his profile, and I was visibly uncomfortable. He asked what was up, so I was forward, and said he didn’t look like his profile. God. He proceeds to drive me to what I thought would be a restaurant. Except it was a strictly take-out place, and so there were no…

Also concerning are all the posters asking for advice on how to get over wanting to find a partner. There’s nothing wrong with that goal. It’s uncomfortable watching people getting ashamed for seeking companionship. Really speaks to how individualistic people have become.

Being FDS doesn’t mean we need to have a “I don’t need no man” attitude. That’s my personal opinion... I mean we join the sub to learn strategies to attract that special someone. We need to stop shaming ourselves for having totally normal human urges. It’s a balance. You should also imagine “happy endings” that don’t feature men, like someone else mentioned above.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/06/20 07:05 PM

Whoever makes the invite should pay. It’s basic etiquette. Works like this in professional settings too, among friends, family, men just care more about sounding woke than making sure the woman they’re taking out is enjoying herself. Ugh.

It’s natural to want to find love and I don’t believe that’s something to ever be ashamed of. The problem arrises when you pursue love with a desperate pick me mindset and value the wrong kind of validation from men, & don’t value other forms of validation from your friends, family, or building meaningful life as much.

This is why I’ve decided to delete my OLD profiles. I just kept getting matched with guys who would want to stay in a limbo of never ending small talk, never escalating to ask for my phone number, call me, or make plans (meeting outdoors is allowed now in my area). I was constantly unmatching guys cause clearly they were just looking for a pen pal, some female validation and nothing more. I couldn’t see the point of continuing to use the apps when I got to the point where I was unmatching every …

I’m biased here speaking as a journalist, but a guy who doesn’t spend anytime keeping up with current events in the world or locally is a hard no for me. Shows they have little regard for things that don’t impact them directly. They lack curiosity about what’s going on around them.

I feel bad now implying you have no hobbies 🤣 I personally would just let all those matches who didnt write to me pile up. After a while of using apps you realize a large percentage are guaranteed to say nothing.

Why waste your precious energy thinking about it so deeply? Get a hobby. Do something nice for yourself. Call a friend. If they don’t initiate a conversation, who cares? Unmatch whenever you feel like it.

Are restaurants open in your area? You could say you prefer eating out while getting to know someone new. Leave it at that & don’t meet unless that’s agreed to. Maybe he thought all restaurants were closed & it wasn’t an option, I don’t know what the deal is for where you’re living.
