well, getting packed to metropolitan areas may trigger the conditions for “mouse utopia”. people just stop breeding. it is not necessarily about food or space, general living density may be the key.

the different standards irritate me to no end. I’ve watched this develop for almost 20 years and when I spotted it (around 13 years ago) I tried to discuss it in closed circles. I was ”seeing things”, according to people. nowadays these same people tend to trust my judgement somewhat, since the track record of my predictions have (unfortunately) been quite good. I’m not happy about that. there will be some cusp in the near future when we are going to go for the next normal. the tensions are so h…

why would you ever want to marry? that marriage thing tends to be quite dangerous, i.e you hand control of your life totally to the other party. however, as other commenter already said, there is no reason you cannot attract 18 year old females. you have experience and good physical condition, so this ”you seem a little old” is typical shit test these young birds give to you. playing with the fire in controlled fashion (i.e pumping and dumping) is the common way, but it can sometimes backfire. t…

politics are a thing that seems to separate and unite people in other subs. I hate that polarization. here, I try to keep my personal politics out. this sub is (after all) about going your way. I try answer questions as they have been asked. however, being too political is most likely not a merit here.

well, IMO the signs point to crash at fall. it may also not happen. but there is too much speculation and central bank push in the air. I think (on the US political side) dems are in trouble. they have no real leadership, and republicans and trump have been on winning roll recently. IMO the presidential race has already been tilted strongly to trumps favour. but let’s see. financially volatile times are usually interesting, in the chinese proverb sense

hmm. online dating is IMO actually dying. as a form of forming relationships, I mean. there is only so many strangers you can meet by cold-calling until you become extremely cynical. and dangling new, ”better” thing when you are discussing with current candidate does not exactly help. my guess is that when this hypeconomy crashes, people may return to ”recommended by friends” dating

indeed. the tide has really turned, feminism preaching has become almost as unpopular as straight out racism. I’m enjoying it. about misandry bubble bursting: my guess is 2020 (after US presidential election). it does not really matter who wins, the misandry squad have been burning so much steam of late that they will run out soon. they have also made their true intentions visible, which alienates them from general public who usually shun all kinds of extreme rhetorics

that is probably just Fear of Missing Out speaking in your mind. intimacy is a primal need, so a GFE hooker might not be a bad idea. you can also try Tinder, but (as I have said before) be very careful out there

hmm. that is a wierd question to ask. IMO there is no true MGTOW, since you can do whatever you like. there are no badges to wear, after all. just be you

well, we are not a cult so you can pretty much do whatever you like. as said in many comments, this is a loosely defined lifestyle, not a movement with rules. talking to other people is normal. it is basic normal conduct, it does not make you non-MGTOW. and you can also be friends with anyone however, be careful with your conduct. being alone with women in closed rooms may expose you (so keep the door open). and being social in normal manner in open office is usually ok. you learn to spot the wi…

wasn’t she replaced already by a man? Ralph Fiennes, to be exact. he has done good job so far, but I fail to see why you seem to discount Judi Denchs M — she did good and it is not really relevant to current discussion of the current box checking party. female bond will never fly, it goes too far against the grain (so to say) so I think your theory is a tad alarmist.
/r/MGTOW17/07/19 05:04 PM
2

agreed. Judi Dench ended up being very good M. but, being old-school actor, she can actually act. this newest 007 travesty though... no chance whatsoever. inexperienced actor picked just because she checks the progressive boxes — there is very slim chance this ends up working in the end.

It was so blatant at times I was rolling my eyes. They also made Hopper a total one note caricature of stupid bumbling fool who solves problems by smashing things. He used to have some nuance. And all the girl-power stuff they added was irritating as hell. And the nowadays mandatory quota lesbian and how the story handled it... ungh. On the plus side: not sure if they intended it but they made all the female characters look like manipulative assholes who don’t really care about others, only abou…

to elaborate a bit: loneliness is something that you learn to deal with in time. and it depends a lot about your life in general. for me, work provides me more than enough social interaction nowadays, so I see my loneliness at my home as a rewarding and recharging experience

be a decent person in public. if you are a quiet one, be more social. that makes it difficult to speak behind your back. it is, after all, word against a word. also, if you can find out who is spreading the rumours (for sure), find a lawyer and discuss the thing with him. there’s usually no need to go to court, but the risk of legal mess may silence most people edit: and yeah, as others have pointed out — stop caring. you are you

no problem. I see where you come from. I just wanted to clarify this issue to others who may be less wise about the process. these people also invite uncalled ill will to sub, and that irritates me. too many shitposts to this sub are about ”lol, I said MGTOW here and I got banned” (and sorry for misinterpreting your situation. I hope your divorce ends up with somewhat civil resolution)

well, your are not wrong. modern feminism comes from insecurity. however, the reason why they get the scorn is the fact that (due to their insecurity) they try to get people unemployed via outrages. that shit is just not ok, in any kind of functioning society. that is the reason that people hunt them, often brutally
/r/MGTOW20/01/19 07:29 PM

it may suck, of course, but it is a take that (according to media) tries to continue the original tale with some kind of decency. ghostbusters universe has ton of interesting tales, so if they can set up a sequel, I see this as a win

current version is running on fumes. they got everything they wanted a long time a go, and that is why they are constantly looking for new enemies. they need to stay relevant. meanwhile they are alienating pretty much everyone with their odd ”issues” (mansplaining, manspreading), misandrism and outright racism. old-school feminists tend to be silent about feminism of today, because they recognize it as a mutant beast that got free and started biting everyone in their path. the backlash is coming…

diamonds have a ton of productive uses, like cutting. especially the small ones are genuinely useful, and we can manufacture them industrially — which is a good thing. digging the bigger ones from ground in developing war-ridden countries and maiming children in order to decorate ungrateful thots while you legally relieve youself of 50% of your possessions — well, not so good thing

it did get an Oscar, deservedly. I was personally totally blown away when I first saw it — jaw to the floor. for me, the first Miyazaki movie that blew my mind was Porco Rosso. for some reason, we got Miyazaki movies in our publically funded broadcast channel when I was young. I accidentally saw Totoro one weekend (which I liked a lot) and next weekend they showed Porco Rosso which totally blew my mind. that is basically my own stance. I treat women as team members. RDR2 is a brilliant game full of interesting moments. I personally love it. there is something very MGTOW in that setting, where you can go around doing things that need to be done while hunting, fishing and camping in the wilderness as you see fit. 5/7 (or in non-meme scale, 11/10)

being mobile with your vote usually keeps the politicians honest. the temptations of easy money and the favor trading easily confuse your candidates. they easily start thinking they have a tenure. your vote is a leash — tug it every now and them to keep your candidate and party honest. you can also write to them directly. they listen

I wouldn’t worry about it. people from eastern europe are (for some reason) quite well innoculated against ideological injustice. younger generations are still prone to it, but anyone alive in 1980’s has been immunized

it was surprisingly good flick. left most of the decision making to watcher while interviewing both sides. the feminists were full of cringe and I genuinely felt bad for document maker when she struggled with what she was taught and what she learned. a fair and balanced take on the subject with some gut wrenching stories about divorce rape and resulting fallout — definitely worth a watch. they act as children, because they are free of consequence. this allows them to grow up to be, well, giant children. the real fix is to make them responsible for their shit. deny the leniency because they are ”only women”, put them to prison for crimes. make them responsible for their lies and make them acknowledge the damage their actions cause. it is a slow, but necessary, process. pussy pass must die. women must shoulder same responsibility for their action (or inaction) as men do
/r/MGTOW27/09/18 08:17 PM
6

they are using this because it is possible. law has expiration period for crimes for this reason — you should not be able to destroy someones life for petty stuff after some time. too bad this court of hearsay does not have any such protections. luckily they are burning their political and social capital so fast that nobody will believe them this time next year. like nobody really believes MSM right now ;)

I think the point is that in some countries marriage makes women ”work more” (statistically) while in most countries marriage reduces the amount of female working hours — often by a lot

women have been working in nordic countries pretty much always. cold and harsh climate has pretty much required all able hands to pitch in. after WW2 this became a norm. very few stay-home mommies here. married women working more than single women is, however, quite puzzling. but my guess is that the age demographics and distribution of marriage by age may explain that. marriage rates have plummeted in ”young” democraphic (18-35), which makes them overrepresented in singles bin. meanwhile, marri…

of course not necessarily. but given the Star Wars farce, there is a risk that the new main chararacter they are grooming will suffer from Mary Suetis. and that (along with horrible writing in Last Jedi) pretty much killed a franchise. I think people at Mickey Mouse Company are on this right now

well. they are shooting their own leg right now. ideas won’t die, especially ones that resonate with people. if they by some chance successfully censor all MGTOW content from internet, all the interesting discussions will go offline (to bars, secret mens clubs, hobby clubs etc). and online platforms cannot fund themselves because nobody is using them. so let them try. Facebook and Twitter are already sinking, so it is clearly working for them!
/r/MGTOW13/09/18 05:00 PM

sadly, they seem to try to find their desired boundaries from their dates. they want to be independent, but not really. and modern men are raised to deal with them as equals, which is a total turn-off for the women. as a result they live the ”independent” life while secretly yearning for someone to tell them what to do and dominate them. what a sad world. we as a society have made a huge mistake

this single-mother thing seems to keep up popping up, but nobody wants to touch it in public discussion. we cannot choose our origins or families, so op IMO has been smart. but as a society we should have some kind of discussion what kind of drawbacks happen if fathers are not present. fathers in my opinion are very very important especially for young men. and I think young females could use their presence in their lifes

if you (as a woman) are an asshole, why would freezing your eggs change anything? it gives you more time in CC to try to find your ”soulmate” but honestly — if you haven’t found a serious partner, there is a real possibility that no-one wants you as mother of his children. freezing eggs is a desperation move anyway, since the chance of getting viable embryo from those is shockingly low

very well put. however, I have argued in the past that when linearly progressing things reach a tipping point (a cusp), things can actually move quite fast. basically, next financial downturn is something worth keeping eye on. in other words, my bet is on 2023-2025 range. in a way, we have been setting up a large societal upheaval that matches 1920’s for 2020’s

I tend to disagree, somewhat. the birth rate in most developed, most sustainable parts of the globe is tanking. and the poor, unsustainable parts (hello, micropolymers) are outbreeding their resources. this ”Japan problem” can be dealt with but combination of these problems is pretty much deadly. family unit (with extended family) has been the backbone of western societies for a long time. and now it seems quite dead. I am quite worried about that

the negative birth rate combined with the failure of immigration to boost the birth rate up in a way that is sustainable (lack of any kind of reasonable integration, failure to participate in job market) has pretty much killed the feminist movement. politicians pretty much have no option left for long term survival other than resisting the feminist ideals as they are currently interpreted (”I have no responsibility to make babies, I can do whatever I want”). the bottleneck for new babies are not…

you could even argue that people tend to fall to bell curve. some win bad, some lose bad, most do okayish. however, moving the center point (via some yet not understood developmental mechanism) affects a ton of people. not all of them get to papers. single motherhood is a huge social experiment started in 70’s that ramped up in 80’s and 90’s and became rampant in 00’s. now we get the big scale data. correlation, of course, does not mean causality, but in this case it definitely warrants further …

well, Medium is a blog-platform (as others have said) so this is not an editorial choice. however, what was truly curious was the way local tabloid published today pretty much raw MGTOW story of a man who was tricked to be a father and fucked via child support. and later on female moved somewhere else in the country and told the man ”to get his own baby”. interesting part of the story was when the mother wanted to meet 10 years later (man was having a new family, so they all went to meet her) an…

when travelling, you usually see airports, taxis and hotels. at least when you it for a job. some places are interesting when you travel, but those places are usually quite far away from usual travel hubs or (if not) overcrowded by tourists. travelling is IMO overrated — you can get more fun usually by going to local odd spot than to the usual tourist traps

back in 2008-2010 it was actually ok. but after that is started degrading quite fast. introduction of Tinder made it total meat market. I think I gave it up around 2017 because it became total timesink, while yielding absolutely zero feasible relationships. I’m kinda long relationship slow-burn guy, so this meet-greet-and-discard thing did not work for me. for a while I was in ”did I do something wrong” mode, but then I realized that either I got old or game was rigged. either way, it strongly a…

I typically pick subjects from new, and offer my thoughts if I have something to offer. I do agree that giving someone a leg up if they have been decimated is a valuable thing to do. $diety knows I could have used that back when I was hammered hard. as for the whole sub — we are all going through different phases in our lives. it is absolutely fine to politely disagree if needed. but the key word is polite — I try to admit if I was wrong (and change my position if better information is provided)…

well, the curious thing is that many people are actually genetically immune to cocaine. I could not (after a brief search) find a source for this but some percent of population genetically lack the receptors that cocaine uses. I know this because a friend (and his sibling) are unable to use novocaine (a cocaine derivative) for pain relief. and they gain no high from cocaine edit: somewhat source for sceptics http://scienceblogs.com/retrospectacle/2006/07/10/the-needle-genetic-resistance/

yeah, I kinda agree with you. abortions have been done for a long time, and doing them safely (for mother) is worthwhile. however, this modern way where abortion is very late pregnancy pill if someone does not want to become your provider is sick. it seems that most pro-abortion people are willing to justify this kind of behaviour, and this leaves me two very bad choices

simplest way is quite simple: just do not fuck everyone and let them creampie you. really, require condom or use contraceptives. legitimate rape victims aside, accidental pregnancy is almost always preventable by a woman. ok, I’m assuming (again) good faith here crying is not the way how men deal with stress. men, in general, just endure things and keep going on. this is probably the biggest misconception between genders: women assume that men are insensitive because they do not show their emotions even when hurt. and men disrespect women for turning every interaction emotional, which makes it really really hard for men to interpret which things are important and which things are not. so men assume every emotiona…

I kinda agree on your point. for me ”emotional support” happens if your company folds suddenly and you are about to go homeless. or if your wife suddenly kills your marriage and you have ton of issues to deal with and you could use a listener or some advice. as I previously said ”potentially life-changing shocks”. for men, this breaking point is generally quite high, but (when reached) men tend to shatter for a second. and this is when they need some respite, advise and listening ear. and then t…
/r/MGTOW18/07/18 05:36 PM

well, for men the emotional support available in real life-shattering moments seem to be predominantly other men. and even then, you learn who are supportive after the fact. many, many times the women in my life have just skipped when shit has gotten real, and I have had to rely to some men when I needed to put the pieces together again. but that forms a special bond that is pretty much unbreakable.

yes yes. the legally binding DNA test can be requested from court by father and is generally granted — in germany. children born in wedlock are by law assumed to be children of the husband in Europe, unless contested. the law that prohibits free DNA testing of offspring only exists in france. in other places it is inadmissible as evidence. am I clear enough?

white knights are a dying breed. all these single interactions transmitted via the communication fabric of internet will eventually reach most men and stack up. it is not red pill knowledge or irritation that stacks up — it is doubt. this can possibly lead to a sudden behavioral shift in men. no white knights, more careful women. it will still happen sometimes, but a drunk irritating thot can no longer rely on it. and this will lead to a behavioral shift in women. not sure where, but somewhere
/r/MGTOW04/07/18 06:40 PM

yeah. they tend to forget that irritated men are often quite dangerous. this thought seemed to just occur to her when the fella made the aggressive jump. the plus side for women is that irritated men still (usually) control their strength and don’t cause any lasting damage. it was not always like this. I personally think that training couple of generations of people that they can just run their mouths whenever they feel like it is a tad dangerous — for them. even the gentlest of men (or women) h…

yeahh... no. this thesis expects women to be perfect. they are not. men and women can indeed sharpen each other out in certain environment. todays environment is not where that happens, though. in modern life, women tend to act as a dulling element to sharp men. and that is kinda sad
/r/MGTOW01/07/18 08:24 PM

they do not indeed. too bad that most of the mathematics was built by men. and it is the the most important legacy we have. curiously, this body of knowledge is rejected by feminists for ”being male and white”. go figure. I still play for the team Mathematics :)

breakup tends to hit men quite hard. but the silver lining is that when you get over the hurt, life will generally be fine. men are quite adaptive, you just need to give yourself some time. but it will definitely hurt for a while

/r/MGTOW01/07/18 06:37 PM

currently the money flow goes from men to women, due to crazy marriage stuff and retirement fraud. add the female preferential treatment to the mix and you have constant bleed/blight that cuts men every day. however, if younger men play strong solo game, this will at some point flip — men make more money, and if this ”bleed/blight” is blocked, they will have the upper hand within ten years. in other words: ignore bitches, acquire (and invest) currency ;)
/r/MGTOW01/07/18 06:31 PM

that is solid advice for a youngin. can’t think of anything else to add, except: you’re the number one, so always keep your interests in focus. you can take a step back when the team needs it, but make sure that does not become the norm.

bubble of samethink is very comfortable. when you challenged that comfort, you automatically became an outsider. not your fault, of course, but this is why we have magazines like Cosmo that are very very strongly divorced from reality

well, normal instinct is to deal it like a clunker with 300.000 km on it. basically: it all depends how good components got put in in the factory. but every kilometer causes wear and tear so you will try to pay the reasonable price and do not expect this thing to be around when you retire. and you expect that you need to do some maintenance, but if that gets expensive you are willing to discard the whole thing — it is not really worth all the insurances, maintenance etc you put to it ;)
/r/MGTOW12/06/18 06:19 PM

sad but true. I think there is some kind of collapse coming, and the division line is the people that put the effort in and try, and the people that go ”ehh, I’ll try something later while cashing muh social security/alimony/child support”
/r/MGTOW12/06/18 06:15 PM

probably not. I have met many sharp women (business-wise) but all of them have easy triggers that make them easily pickable. so — no. self-control is a male trait

hmm. reddit is having inflow of Facebook escapees that really want to talk about real things. this makes Reddit people think that their clampdown is popular, since people are swarming in. nope. people are really looking for less fucked up option. one that does not try to put them over the barrel every month for good cause. just leave us alone and allow us to pay you. we really want to be customers instead of being the product.
/r/MGTOW06/06/18 06:49 PM
9

hmm. no push-back is my guess. women tend to push for their limits, and if males do not push back (and set the boundaries) the boundaries will move. and insanity ensues
/r/MGTOW06/06/18 06:06 PM
3

hmm. actually, many women are suffering from hair loss nowadays. it actually seems that female hairloss may be even growing. I knew one person with this 6 years ago, but it seems to be blowing up (articles in magazines etc) maybe this is some kind of hormonal thing that surfaces now? therefore, since this issue also affects women, is probably going to be downplayed in the future in the media.

well, the social repercussions are pretty expensive nowadays. you cannot exactly move to next village and reset your life, can you not? this is why the free speech protections also need to evolve. but anyhow, there has rarely been any bedroom for truth-speakers. telling truth is always something that rubs someone wrong way
/r/MGTOW04/06/18 08:08 PM

my assumption is that women tend to go with the herd. and the herd goes the current way because of the MSM and ”it is the current year” mindset. there are self-thinking women that dislike this but they are minority and they tend to keep silent. but they really hate that they are made victims. nobody really wants to be an outsider, so these women are doing like we do: they do not talk flammable things with their public accounts. these useless women who try to get well paying jobs without knowing …

sadly, the thing that used to be called responsibility has been pretty much abolished from modern society. too bad the cornerstone why modern western society works is the balance of privilege (power) versus responsibility (for actions). if you remove one, you’ll get societies that act very very oddly from outsider viewpoint

+1. engineering and programming degrees are something that expose you to real burnout. it can happen during the studies or at work, but recognizing the signs is highly useful. after all — many, many engineers and developers are dropping out because they have just been burned out. but, if recognized, this process can be halted and reversed and earlier you recognize it, the faster the recovery

hmm. not in college right now, but as general observation: being a bit lazy (as in not willing to do a huge amount of manual work) is generally useful trait if you are a programmer. manual work fiddling with code or databases occasionally is ok, but you should be lazy in the sense that you start automating any recurring things. this does not mean skipping work. if you are just right kind of lazy you can design and automate things in a way that benefits pretty much everyone

they tend to do that, but (as I argue in the latest version of previous post) that is pretty much best estimation you can get. and I don’t disagree with your original post. just the one that argues about the reduction of variables — you cannot do that if you really want to predict behaviour. linearization has led so many scientists astray ;)

men are given this goal for life. it is very old role of provider — find the wife, sire a kid or two and build a house. mix this with the current arrogant assumption that males (especially white ones) have it easy, and you can start cracking the nut. nowadays men are assumed to be many things. unbreakable, capable of anything, always going up — basically perfect. but no real man fits such ideal. that is impossible goal. but you still soldier on, having a glimmer of hope that there is some honor …

same for me. but I see this as something worth reporting, because it directly advocates mass violence. and this ”kill the male infants” is something that will be visible. I’d love to see the law enforcement check if any of the male kids of WGTOWers have a sudden death. being a mother is extreme position of power, so this kind of shenanigans should be procecuted with extreme prejudice

shaming in general is so overused nowadays (both as term and as a tactic) that it has ceased to have any kind of emotional response. ”boy that cried wolf million times is surprised that nobody helped him when wolf finally ate him”. yeah. the idea that people build immunity/indifference for wrongful use of alert mechanisms is very surprising indeed

good point. feminists have been using connotated terms for long long time — usually to hit their ”enemies”. this is why they complain so loudly when their chosen words get unexpected nasty connotations. once you notice this, you cannot really unsee it. and that is why I no longer give a fuck what some opinionated soyboy/flamehair writer writes. to reuse old adage: shame me 100 times, IDGAF

ah, thanks — I fixed the typo. yeah, you’re right — there are many viruses that cause cancer (HPV is most commonly known STD). this one is kinda curious because of the high cancer rate, aggressiveness of the leukemia and the primary transmission vector of sex. it is indeed not new (it was discovered 1980 according to the article) but it seems to be gearing for global epidemic. and yeah, rubber may not help.

ehh. I tried to find HPV risk (to put this to a perspective) as 1 per million, but just could not find it. it causes cervical cancer and we innoculate against it. I would hazard to guess it is very far from 50.000 / 1.000.000

yes, owning a thing is one thing. having the funds to keep and maintain it totally different thing. women tend to ignore the maintenance costs, and maintenance costs are what kills you. acquisition costs are peanuts, really you have taxes, renovations, electricity, water, sewage, plot rent, help and whatnot. it is not cheap to have a mansion

apparently reddit has been having propagation issues — comments get posted and counted, but the data that is used to render the views doesn’t get updated so — technical issue, most likely. I’ve also seen in non-”problematic” reddits

for some reason, modern women (especially feminists) hate lingerie. I, for one, love women in lingerie. maybe with inviting poses. sadly the the sexual tension is dead (metoo, harassment claims) and women are taught that there is no reason to try to seduce men. only rational response to that is to go your own way

humans being dimorphic species means that men and women will be different, with different strengths. women are by nature in general more apt in some things, men are by nature in general more apt in other things. based on your original question, I would say that the current problems are based on very new culture enabled by 70’s ideas and fast information transfer granted by internet: women are encouraged to be more like men and men are encouraged to be more like women. and this causes mass confus…

there are (according to Plato) two modes of argumentation: rhetorical (emotional) and dialectical (logical). I personally only respect the latter one (dialectical or dialectic). and women tend to use the former (rhetoric) it is kinda sad that rhetoric trumps the dialectic

there’s nothing more depressing, than to be reduced to an utility. all the doubts, ideas, counterpoints, feelings, flashes of empathy and all complexity of human brain (that fluctuates as you learn and go through hardships) are reduced to time-series function of utility. in the end, nobody really cares if you get home safely today. it is a sad thought

women have wider corpus callosum. you can argue that they have wider bandwidth between lobes. just to be cheeky, I argue that their emotional lobe is allowed to mess up with their rational lobe with higher efficiency. this seems to match with real life results. so men win, at least on rational front.

we probably need to write off the current 25-45 generation of women. it is sad and painful, but they are so strongly indoctrinated that they are beyond redemption. I’d absolutely love to see a science-competition show a’la Mythbusters where two teams have to build a rocket capable of flying. either from scrap or plumbing parts. just make it a male team and female team. I think they couldn’t stomach airing it, unfortunately. I, personally, nod my head in deep appreciation to SpaceX achievement. I don’t care a lick about the genders of the participants.

STEM jobs also come with hooks attached — you need to be able to solve problems and endure the endless grind. yes, these jobs pay well, but they are not flashy. and you are on hook — in research jobs you need to publish, in engineering jobs you need to solve problems. and in IT you occasionally need to solve complex problems with tight deadline. it just is not for everyone. bringing this participation trophy mindset to discussion (we need more women!) irritates me to no end. no — what STEM needs…

this will not end well. air traffic controllers need to do snap decisions with confidence in extreme pressure and with 10 second deadlines — if you freeze there you will kill hundreds people. there is a damn good reason this profession is a meritocracy. this is definitely not a place for equal representation bullshit. I have relatively high pressure tolerance, but I could never hack it as ATC

there no better anaphrodiciac than bad experience. after you’ve been through the meat grinder couple of times, it gets a lot easier. but it never really goes away, since we are biologically attracted to women. so the best you can hope is control over the urges. there have been good suggestions in the thread — rubbing it out is typically fast release. but that does not really work for attraction. one (somewhat dangerous) way to fix this is to gain a lot of representative (= negative) experiences.…

I’ve been thinking about this too lately. I think you’re spot on. if you consider many of the modern movements and ideologies and how they manifest themselves, they have uncanny similarity to religion and religious dogmas. just to take feminism as an example: if you criticize it, you are blasphemer and will be excommunicated from the group. you are required to accept the concept of patriarchy on faith alone (since there is no evidence). there is also the original sin: being born to privileged cl…

for me, sleeping with married women is simply immoral. I was on the other end of that stick once, and it was not nice. you can, of course, argue (correctly) that the moral failing is with the cheating wife, since the wife is the one breaking the promise to husband. but if you participate knowingly to that, what does that tell about your moral backbone? can you really take a look at the mirror next morning and say to yourself that ”I did no wrong” and believe it? I think not.

it is of course possible, and sometimes even the best play. in IT it would be far easier than in more capital-heavy industry where you need infrastructure or expensive machinery. however, you would basically burn a lot of bridges doing that (many of your contacts will feel wronged) and you can never pick up all accounts. and you’ll need to invest to all the rampup that comes with new company. so it is a high-risk/high-reward play, IMO

exactly. mum is the the word. since all chips are stacked in OP’s favor, the smart play is to keep quiet and see how it plays out. in general, drama tends to cause morale problems in a company and disrupt normal operations for a while

this. company has laid out rather clear ground rules, and you basically played along (as you should) nebulous claims about toxic atmosphere and exclusion taste a lot like sour grapes, and will (hopefully) be thrown out. I guess this is the new normal

too bad only public handle to the issue is the named 16 yr girl. so that is the only outlet available for discontent. if one was an abusive parent in pursuit of extra cash, that would be the way to set the con up too bad for the girl, but cannot really blame the people that take on the only target they can see, right?

Long game usually pays out ok. Short term fast-growing things are usually bubbles, and will at some point lose the speculated value. Only reliable payout has been compound interest that boosts stock market (that has been partially inflated by inflation and population growth), and with tanking western birthrates I’m not too sure about it anymore.

agreed. and I know you meant it (hence the ”sidenote”). AI is a big word to throw around, and our current efforts are far from it (even if we get impressive results). so absolutely no offence intended :) ANN’s and GA are highly useful things to learn. But it really grinds my gears when people start using terms like ”Skynet” when there are just smart algorithms, clever signal processing and endless sea of Google/Facebook data to train against.

Depending on the definition of ”AI” you could also focus on something like Knapsack problem. It allows you to use things like genetic algorithms, taboo-algorithm, anthill-algorithm (basically a ”pheromone” based algorithm) or something crazier like simulated annealing. Or combination of above. Solving knapsack problem is highly educational. You can also game your algorithms against each other. If they want neural networks, the install Torch and feed it text and teach it to generate a discussion.…

the point is to make it inconvenient for them to use the blinders and go for the industry standard ”kids to the mom, alimony for gent bam”. it’s legal equivalent for ”nobody has ever been fired for buying IBM/Microsoft/etc”. you need to make it inconvenient to go along the beaten path. and yes, it may cost something. but you don’t need to go all the way - million paper cuts are very effective. In other words, make it as inconvenient as screeching moms make it.

I tried the same for a while. 3 female friends was the starting point. One remains, and we discuss things very, very sporadically. Don’t mind it really. Other two tried to keep me as emotional fallout sponge or as attention ATM. Those died out fast without any harsh words - just a tiny change in response patterns was enough. Ah well. Female ”friends” are fickle and generally useless.

Projection is so common nowadays that it is the first I suspect when someone accuses me of stupid or crazy things. Even with male posse. It makes sense so often it’s crazy — especially with women. Maybe we need new argumentative errors like ”hologram” (projecting your faults) or ”Gävle straw goat” (torching your manufactured straw... thing that no longer resembles anything recognizable. but it will get torched anyway)

(I agree with the parent, but wanted to elaborate) that’s what they need (to have a clearly defined enemy) but what we don’t need. or desire. belonging to a popular movement actually interferes with the goal of ”going your way”. you see, being part of a movement brings in groupthink and restraints. and this brings in politics. and then you lose (by becoming outsider when political people start pulling the strings). so, just don’t go there. unless you want to be a sheep. the distinction between p…

to summarize: the campus is toxic and the cost of education especially in US of A is insane but they still do some things right. it is absolutely all right to be self-taught person, but you need to teach youself all necessary skills - this means also the boring stuff. be a W-person (broad knowledge, some specialities), not an I-person (very narrow knowledge, but expert in that). you have a long career ahead of you, and wider profile means more opportunities
/r/MGTOW09/01/18 10:30 PM

and - you actually get broader view on the subject. self-taught people tend to have odd knowledge gaps compared to people that studied - having this ”well rounded” form helps you get a job instead of being some kind of ”idiot savant”. this seems to hold true at least in software development (in subcontracting - if you aim to be a startup hero then that’s a different ballgame)
/r/MGTOW09/01/18 10:02 PM

if you can get your degree out with reasonable effort - get it. it helps directly with jobs and indirectly with subcontracting (you are easier to sell, for higher price), but the most important thing is that you get a confidence boost (and that gorilla off your back). oh, and in some places you get pension boost for getting your degree - if you ever live to collect it and pension system has not collapsed

by generic laws of western civilizations, it actually is. it is rarely enforced nowadays but protection from discrimination by opinion (political affiliation) is as strong as other protections (gender, race, etc). in here it is listed as identical bullet point in the same list, and as far as I know it is same everywhere. our forefathers were quite smart, and they did have political disagreements back then, so they put down the rules for those situations that were actually fair. The key is to, yo…

They can try. But Damore feels like a person of integrity, which means that he might be willing to see this thing out. That would be truly bad news for Google. He would also get at least 200 respect points from me (not in scale, market value not significant) I think it depends how independent he is financially. Which is why you should be financially independent, always.

(hi, also a Finn) OP is right. The definition of workforce is indeed being fudged by the government, but in indirect way. 2010 report by Finnish Statistics Bureau actually acknowledges this (sorry, link in finnish) http://www.tilastokeskus.fi/til/tyti/2009/12/tyti_2009_12_2010-01-26_tie_001_fi.html (TL;DR - more and more people are outside the workforce) My guess is that the major part of the difference are so called "young retirees" - young people that are deemed unfit for workforce for medical…
