I'm not saying evolution is inefficient, I'm saying the things it produces are. The laryngeal nerve does have an intended purpose, and an example of evolution cobbling things together, bird feathers and scales, or human hair and nails. Same shit used in different ways as needed. Well, yeah. I'm personifying a natural process that has no agency or thought. Though I disagree on "is not inefficient", and "cobbles" cause it most certainly does, and has made things that are incredibly inefficient. A pretty well known example, because Richard Dawkins always brings it up is the Giraffes Laryngeal nerve. That is incredibly inefficient, and the reason it's like that is because the giraffe was "cobbled" together with whatever it had.

Eh, no. Nature and evolution don't know what they're doing. Things aren't random either, but it's more like jerry rigging.
