Police Brutality is Men's Rights issue in addition to a racism issueI am convinced that it is a sexism issue but can anyone give any info on how it's a racial issue? I've been doing some research and when you correct for encounters with the police it appears that white men are more likely to be the victims of violence at the hands of the police than black men. Trying to tie the two together may work or may not. It may be a bad move strategically to tie Men's Rights to the anti racism movement in America now. | /r/MensRights | 02/01/22 11:40 PM
I just watched Encanto and I think Disney's "feminist" movies are the perfect example of movies for girls done right.I like this explanation but I'm not sure I buy it. I will have to think about it more. I thought that Mirabel's and Alma's powers were keeping the family together and this was a story about the passing of the torch and rebirth but what you say also has merit. That doesn't change the fact that the songs were not great, especially the animations that went along with them or that there was no real emotional weight to the film to make me care about anyone in it. | /r/MensRights | 31/12/21 04:01 AM
I just watched Encanto and I think Disney's "feminist" movies are the perfect example of movies for girls done right. The only song that resonated with me was Dos Oruguitas. And that was over too early for me to get something real from it. Comparing that to Let It Go just leaves me depressed. My point was that there was no point in pretty much anyone having super powers. They could have told exactly the same story with only one person having powers(seeing the future) and not only would it have been cooler it would have made things more understandable. What purpose did everyone else's powers serve in the story? … | /r/MensRights | 31/12/21 02:47 AM
I just watched Encanto and I think Disney's "feminist" movies are the perfect example of movies for girls done right.Encanto was horrible, I really surprised you liked it. The songs were terrible as was the world building. And stuff just didn't make sense. And why did everyone have super powers if no one was really going to use them? I could go on and on about the problems. I think that Disney from 1989 to 2009 was a better example of movies for girls done right. | /r/MensRights | 31/12/21 12:01 AM

Why do men's rights communities lack any real resolution-oriented thinking and activism? You have a point even though it's cloaked in misinformation. The reason is because of poor leadership and lack of direction. The former is needed for the latter and without them it is easier to latch onto a common enemy than it is to do real activism. That being said, your comment contains a lot of misinformation, both about our society and about Men's Rights Activists. | 1 | TERFs are TERFs because they hate men, not because they hate trans peopleAgree with most of what you are saying. The trans lobby is growing very powerful, probably because so many trans people have very, very high testosterone and are very, very smart. Trans ideology is very easy to defeat so it is a good thing that all these groups are being co-opted by these people. | /r/MensRights | 16/12/21 03:10 AM
TERFs are TERFs because they hate men, not because they hate trans peopleI think that there is an uneasy alliance between many of the woke groups and that they would turn on each other immediately. Several reasons: Terrible leadership. The people who should be leading our movement have no idea what they are doing. Pretty much no full time advocacy staff. | 6 | Why are men more likely to be the perpetrator of violent crimes? You are confusing "discriminating against" with "biased in all ways towards". Just because women are discriminated against in some laws does not mean that there can't be discrimination against men in others and vice versa. The distribution of male IQ is far larger than that of female. The distribution of many traits of men is larger than that of women so you get more men at both extremes in many things. That is what I mean. | /r/MensRights | 09/12/21 08:16 PM
Why are men more likely to be the perpetrator of violent crimes? All justice systems in the world discriminate against males, including that of the United States. That being said, the fact that men are more likely to be the perpetrator of violent crimes is indisputable. There are several reasons for this but the most obvious is that men are far more variable than women. You have far more geniuses and idiots among men than women and violent crime statistics are one of the effects of that. | /r/MensRights | 09/12/21 05:43 PM

If you believe that it is okay to not center abortion at the forefront of the discourse then you need to be okay with it being a strategic pawn. | -9 | The misandry of Senator Josh Hawley is a sight to beholdYou need to read other things he has said. Please do so before forming your opinion. You need to look at intent. Does he have malice in his heart towards men? No. This is qualitatively different than many feminist congressmen who, in their statements and deeds, have repeatedly proven that they simply don't like people with y chromosomes. | /r/MensRights | 14/11/21 05:33 PM |
| -12 | The misandry of Senator Josh Hawley is a sight to beholdThis is not a good line of attack. He is obviously not a misandrist. Misandry is the hatred or dislike of men and he obviously does not have that. Just look at what he has said about men, masculinity etc. What he does have is a conservative view of men in that he wants them to conform to the box that he thinks they should conform to. He doesn't hate or dislike men. He just wants them to be as good as they can be according to his own standards. | /r/MensRights | 14/11/21 05:07 PM |

I like what he says and how he says it but his basis for saying what he says is shaky. | 5 | Black MRA discusses the racial issue within the MRM.I don't think this is a good idea for several reasons: The MRM is not going to gain any traction with the people that strategies like this appeal to. The people who are most obsessed with race and racism have already decried the MRM as irredeemably sexist. This is trying to put a wedge between members of the MRM based on race. | 42 | The kind of sexism that goes on in twoxchromosomes..I love posts like this. This is so far removed from reality that it is amazing to look inside their head and see what they think. Men who hate women don't try to invade womens' spaces, they try to actively shut women out of them. Men who think they are women actively invade womens' spaces. On the flip side, look at all the male dominated spaces that feminists have invaded recently. Look at the comments about how they don't like men. Traditionalists and social conservatives always demonstrate their opposition to men's rights just like liberals doThe difference is intent and malice. | 7 | Most of men's social issues come from the patriarchyYou aren't going to get much traction with those ideas here. It's been tried many, many times before. That being said, most of the Men's issues I really care about aren't social ones. They are legal and human rights based ones. | /r/MensRights | 17/02/21 06:17 PM |
Witnessed some guy get teased by another guy for being shortYou do have a point about societal attitudes changing. But I have no faith that teasing can be solved in the same way that smoking could be, nor that the solution would be better than the problem. | /r/MensRights | 16/02/21 02:43 PM
How can queer men's experiences influence the MRMI don't think the things you mentioned have anything to do with the most important issues in the MRM. | /r/MensRights | 16/02/21 02:41 PM
Does anyone here do any actual activism?NCFM-Chicago was doing some good activism until NCFM came in and stopped almost all of it. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 14/02/21 04:21 PM
Guys, what’s a good come back for when a feminist uses the “quit MANslpaining” excuse? There are three responses to this depending on your relationship with them. They are a random person. Just don't respond and walk away. They are someone you cannot or do not want to avoid. Try to explain how hurtful the term is and that you wish they would stop using it. Use empathy. Arguing here or insulting the person you are talking will almost never accomplish your goal. You are in a public debate with them. Turn it around and try to make the audience see how terrible an insult is by using i… | /r/MensRights | 14/02/21 04:20 PM
Witnessed some guy get teased by another guy for being shortI think the only solution is for the younger guy to verbally fight back. Telling everyone to be nice isn't going to work and enforcing such a thing is worse than the alternative. If I knew the guy and he wasn't fighting back, I'd get him a pack of lessons to an improv class or something. | /r/MensRights | 14/02/21 04:15 PM
I know you guys love a good strawman & this hairy feminist wants to ask you a question. If a bunch of women got together and funded themselves a place a live, a little village or something, where men couldn't go, would you support it?Your definition of support is different than mine. That being said, I would do #1 and #2 in your list, not #3. I would be against such a town but if everything is done fairly, legally and ethically, I would do nothing against it. I would most certainly mock it as I would any similar idea by any other group though. I wouldn't engage in #3 in your list because that is not my job. | /r/MensRights | 12/02/21 08:27 PM
Serious question from a former feministThis is one of the problems with the movement in general. There aren’t many authoritative, worthy organizations to donate to and the ones that do exist are not easy to find. CAFE used to be good to donate to but I am not sure of the situation there. I used to donate to NCFM before I was shown that they have no idea what they are doing. I still donate to a few intactivist organizations, Bloodstained Men being at the foreground. Hope this helped. | /r/MensRights | 12/02/21 12:57 AM
Trans man loses UK legal battle to register as his child's fatherHow can a woman be a father? That makes no sense and this is not only not a Mens' Rights issue but actually seems like the system working properly. | /r/MensRights | 25/11/20 04:20 AM
Prison for hate speech against menI replied to you, that means I want you to see it. I never called you an idiot either. I called your idea stupid and asked what is wrong with you. And I live in America where free speech is a thing. Just being a horrible person or saying horrible things should not get you arrested. | /r/MensRights | 24/05/20 09:26 PM
Prison for hate speech against menAll speech short of incitement should not be a criminal offence. Also, It is incredibly stupid to call for arming ourselves. | /r/MensRights | 24/05/20 09:25 PM
Prison for hate speech against menWhat!? That’s incredibly stupid. What is wrong with you? | /r/MensRights | 24/05/20 06:00 PM

So yeah, this is a bit different. The US soccer argues that female players get less pay than male players because of "biological differences". Yeah, no.Then the people who enjoy watching them should fund them. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/03/20 04:46 PM
So yeah, this is a bit different. The US soccer argues that female players get less pay than male players because of "biological differences". Yeah, no.I am saying that I can't see the point of funding sports played by people who are bad at them besides for their own personal development. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 15/03/20 04:01 PM
So yeah, this is a bit different. The US soccer argues that female players get less pay than male players because of "biological differences". Yeah, no.Sports played by the best in the world are often excruciatingly boring. Why would I want to watch sports played by people who are bad at them? Besides the comedic value of course. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 13/03/20 05:02 PM
So yeah, this is a bit different. The US soccer argues that female players get less pay than male players because of "biological differences". Yeah, no.What is your point? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 13/03/20 03:04 PM
So yeah, this is a bit different. The US soccer argues that female players get less pay than male players because of "biological differences". Yeah, no.I agree. I think it should be just the best players in the world playing against the best players in the world, regardless of their gender. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 11/03/20 10:14 PM
I am giving upThis post is not useful. The solution is to do things in real life. Get off the internet and you'll find that people in real life are far more reasonable. | /r/MensRights | 03/03/20 12:06 AM
In the PEPFAR 2020 Plan they do not support circumcision of infants because they cannot consentWhat? | /r/MensRights | 26/01/20 05:06 PM
In the PEPFAR 2020 Plan they do not support circumcision of infants because they cannot consentIt's on page 185. I like this line "Health care providers should strive to postpone non-emergency invasive and irreversible interventions until the child is sufficiently mature to provide informed consent;" | /r/MensRights | 25/01/20 09:11 PM
