I am convinced that it is a sexism issue but can anyone give any info on how it's a racial issue? I've been doing some research and when you correct for encounters with the police it appears that white men are more likely to be the victims of violence at the hands of the police than black men. Trying to tie the two together may work or may not. It may be a bad move strategically to tie Men's Rights to the anti racism movement in America now.

I like this explanation but I'm not sure I buy it. I will have to think about it more. I thought that Mirabel's and Alma's powers were keeping the family together and this was a story about the passing of the torch and rebirth but what you say also has merit. That doesn't change the fact that the songs were not great, especially the animations that went along with them or that there was no real emotional weight to the film to make me care about anyone in it.

Encanto was horrible, I really surprised you liked it. The songs were terrible as was the world building. And stuff just didn't make sense. You are confusing "discriminating against" with "biased in all ways towards". Just because women are discriminated against in some laws does not mean that there can't be discrimination against men in others and vice versa. The distribution of male IQ is far larger than that of female. The distribution of many traits of men is larger than that of women so you get more men at both extremes in many things. All justice systems in the world discriminate against males, including that of the United States. That being said, the fact that men are more likely to be the perpetrator of violent crimes is indisputable. There are several reasons for this but the most obvious is that men are far more variable than women. Thanks for writing this up, some good info in this. But I think that many feminists would say that we are just more likely to convict black men. The rates of conviction are appropriate for black men and just too low for white men. There are too many unknowns here to form a proper opinion. They do. All the time. In my country most companies that build things(construction, engineering etc.) have preferential hiring practices for women. No, biological sex is a thing in nature. A man either has an XY chromosome or naturally produces sperm or both. A woman has an XX chromosome or naturally produces eggs or both. This is a case where exceptions prove the rule because there is almost always something wrong with people who fall outside of not producing eggs or sperm. I think the only solution is for the younger guy to verbally fight back. Telling everyone to be nice isn't going to work and enforcing such a thing is worse than the alternative. If I knew the guy and he wasn't fighting back, I'd get him a pack of lessons to an improv class or something.

Your definition of support is different than mine. That being said, I would do #1 and #2 in your list, not #3. I would be against such a town but if everything is done fairly, legally and ethically, I would do nothing against it. I would most certainly mock it as I would any similar idea by any other group though. I wouldn't engage in #3 in your list because that is not my job.

This is one of the problems with the movement in general. There aren’t many authoritative, worthy organizations to donate to and the ones that do exist are not easy to find. CAFE used to be good to donate to but I am not sure of the situation there. I used to donate to NCFM before I was shown that they have no idea what they are doing. I still donate to a few intactivist organizations, Bloodstained Men being at the foreground. Hope this helped.
