Same, I found it somewhat recently. It's a trip reading some of these stories. There is one guy who often posts his story, he's been married for like 30 years to his high school sweetheart, they have multiple children that are all grown up. He says something like, 15 years into the marriage, he learns that she was not a virgin when they married. He has been unable to look at his wife the same ever since. They stayed together for the family's sake, but he calls it a business arrangement. I think …

You should check out r/retroactivejealousy to read some anecdotes of people either behaving the way you describe this guy behaves, or being on the receiving end of such behavior. It's one thing to have "standards", or whatever, but there is also such thing as having a pathological obsession with the past, obsessed with the details (how many guys, where, what did you do!? etc.). If you ever decided to be in a relationship with a person suffering from "retroactive jealousy", you need to know what …

Sure, here are two links. I'll be honest I don't know how scientific this is. But there is countless data coming out nowadays on the bad effects of porn, especially on children and young adults. https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/rebooting-accounts/rebooting-accounts-page-3/do-you-guys-think-porn-can-cause-people-to-have-gender-dysphoria/ And I've seen plenty of anecdotal stuff like this: https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/because-of-porn-almost-exclusively-attracted-to-trans-women-now.32832…

At best he is gay/bi, at worst he has a serious porn addiction that you're unaware of, that has affected his brain. it has been documented that excessive porn use, where the viewer can see both a penis and vagina, can train the brain to become aroused by the sight of both - and this culminates in "chicks with d*cks". In either case, time to move on

I'm a guy but I've had this same thing happen to me a couple times (where I'm the "stepping stone", although I don't view it that negatively) Funny extra detail though, the couple times it's happened to me they will also "steal" something from my personality, like taste in music for example, and it'll be just like you described where they wanna come off as "perfect", like they want to pretend these things were always part of their personality 😂 Some ppl just still trying to figure themselves out…

good job having the emotional intelligence, maturity and perception to recognize her behaviors and getting rid of her without fear of loss or being alone. seriously good job not reneging on your dumping of her during her pathetic and fake display. take this as a learning experience, don't dwell too much longer on whether or not it could have turned out differently. keep the examples of her red flags for use in future vetting of partners.

I think the other comments gave solid advice. I just wanted to add that the lack of experience in itself doesn't seem like a big red flag to me. The part that could've be a red flag is: I've been living on my own for a decade, in various countries "Travelling" can be construed as code for riding the carousel. So just be careful how you frame that when you talk about it, because it could make it seem like your n-count is higher than it actually is.

that's a nuanced point but i agree with it. maybe the better way to put it is that OP needs to decide if she's willing to commit to a Big Boy. and Big Boy in his own time can decide to what degree he wishes to follow a path of self improvement (because after all, nobody needs to do anything)

i see a lot of apologetics in this thread. yeah this is the 'bane of millenials', but that doesn't mean it's normal. this is on par with all the other "normal" addictions: sugar, TV, video games, porn, etc. he needs to wake up and realize he is being manipulated by his phone. social media is designed to trap you in a reward-loop. sure, people can use it "responsibly", but obviously he is not doing that if he is compulsively whipping his phone out all the time.

something I hear within my age bracket is how guys want a 'bad bitch' take this with a grain of salt. people don't know what they want. they deceive themselves and others, both deliberately and unknowingly. the statement "i want a bad bitch" is more like a projected fantasy of wanting to be the kind of guy that gets bad bitches. this fantasy image comes from music videos, social media, etc. you certainly could mold yourself to fit this fantasy, and you would definitely have success with it sexua…

your use of the term 'beta' here is an ad hominem you're using in attempt to disagree with "women should have equal rights and fairness, we should all get along" also "I want to help women who want to compete in male spaces" is something which he never said. you're pulling a cathy here he said women should have equal opportunity to compete in male spaces. he's absolutely against any sort of coercive efforts to encourage, promote or otherwise "help" women compete in male spaces.

Interesting and unique contribution. I agree with your message, but with all due respect I think you botched the analogy to Lacan's Imaginary, Symbolic and Real. Your argument stands on its own, though, using your meanings of "real" versus "symbolic". youre right but i think that is somewhat the point of the video. it's more like an art-piece.. the image & audio are about as juxtaposed as possible. it's also like a case-in-point for anybody that would be skeptical just listening to the audio, because you are sitting there either transfixed by the twerking or doing your best to ignore it no matter how "woke" you might be (illustrating how sexual liberalism can be an instrument of control). finally, it's also an attempt to reprogram you because…

that is so interesting. i could see how that kind of clothing might be a sign of wealth or social status (in the middle ages). at those festivals some of the attraction can be accounted for as a form of 'pea-cocking', or also the fact that today the clothes are 'feminine' and so you are displaying confidence by subverting that norm. but there must be at least some element of this quasi-bisexuality that makes this an acceptable form of "masculinity"

if referring to pure physical appearance, of course men get older/uglier. but "the wall", for men, is different. the reason the emphasis is on physical appearance, is because women's primary offering in terms of the sexual marketplace is their fertility - beauty is a reflection of this fertility. therefore, hitting the wall for women occurs when their fertility/beauty begins to decline. in this sense, women have innate value. they are born with fertility - it peaks in youth, then declines. men, …

it's a statistical/evolutionary phenomenon. the "cost" of bearing children for women is much higher than the cost of getting somebody pregnant for men. men can get many women pregnant, run away, etc. women are stuck with the baby, limited in the number of children they can have, are vulnerable during pregnancy, can die in childbirth, etc. of course, as individuals, everyone should be "picky", meaning they should work on self-improvement and have high standards. i believe the original commenter v…

That book looks really interesting, thanks. Right up my alley. Based off your book recommendation-- makes me think you drew the same conclusion as I did even though I hadn't mentioned it in the previous comment. With the collapse of marriage and rise of inequality (oligarchs), the sexual marketplace appears to be returning to the same conditions of 8,000 years ago. Kind of. Gorilla females exhibit mate preference by soliciting sex from their choice of male and most copulations are initiated by the female. But they do not resist copulation as far as i know. Pregnant gorillas initiate sex even more often than fertile non-pregnant ones. Orangutan females actively seek the alpha males and they do so while they are ovulating (most fertile). They end up being "coerced" (forced) into sex by a lot by non-alphas, but they have evolved to be more available for sex w…

OP got the reasoning wrong for why human females are picky maters. The statistics show that far fewer males reproduced, but it is not proof of picky mating behavior. Women do happen to be picky maters, but it's not because of the reasons OP stated.
/r/TheRedPill12/07/17 09:18 PM

This guy got the reasoning wrong. The 80%/40% stat is true, but unrelated to women being picky. Chimpanzee females are not picky. They will literally have sex with any chimp that initates it. The reason dominant male Chimpanzees monopolize sex is because they chase away the betas. Human females on the other hand are picky. They won't have sex with just anyone. But the reproduction stat is not proof or evidence of this.

the flip side of this is that it's also incredibly inappropriate to hit on customers lol. i think some good advice would be to try and figure out where he hangs out or what his hobbies are through casual conversation, and then act interested and see if he invites you.

Yeah, you would know better than anyone else. Take some time to reflect on what you said - what is the 'level of achievement' you envision for yourself? Where'd that idea come from? Whose standard are you measuring yourself against? Are you not always progressing towards that ultimate level, like getting stronger every day, saving money, practicing a skill; or are you always coming in 2nd place, so to speak. If you're talking about the feeling after achieving a specific goal, like graduating col…
/r/TheRedPill02/06/17 07:10 PM

Try to lay out some concrete goals. You're obviously progressing on many fronts, but if you don't consciously orient yourself towards the goals you're pursuing then you won't feel any satisfaction as you make incremental progress towards those goals. It could be that you're doing "what's expected" of you, that's why you don't consider those things to be "your" goals, they're somebody else's.

the not so subtle reference to yourself having the correct amount of 'ironic distance' to TRP. Your writing tone is like a combination of maximum amused mastery, cynicism/ironic distance, profane humor and 100% honesty. you aren't just telling us how to implement some RP strategy or principle, you're actually demonstrating it in the post itself.. good post, your sense of humor is the best.

the biggest red flag here is your attitude. everything you say is true, but you are now old enough and wise enough to write this post, it's time for you to take responsibility for your circumstances. not trying to be harsh, just straightforward. as you can see in the other comments, you are not alone in your experience. you just feel alone because you are literally by yourself all the time. get out of your head, go outside. the more time you spend alone and especially in video games, the more yo…

I'm not telling you to be a good little christian boy. I'm telling you to be the best version of yourself that you could be. Only you know what that is. Our religious institutions have failed us. Most of society is there to manipulate us into doing what is best for someone else. Fuck that. Do your thing. Just don't be a life-hating nihilist. That's not what RP is about.

I feel you. Many of us had to go through this kind of self-destruction and pain in order to wake up. I just hope you haven't become a total nihilist. Do not let bitterness overcome you. Do not take revenge against the universe for making you suffer. The Necessity of Virtue

The desire to kill oneself is the reflection of the psychological need to discard an aspect of yourself that is holding you back. Whether your demons are addiction, false ideologies, or whatever, they are a part of your psyche and in order to transcend them you must kill them. This means a part of you must die so that something new can be born. When a person is unwilling to change, their life becomes ruled by their demons, and they live in a veritable hell on earth. Those who are unable to psych…

i honestly think the she's posting here mainly to garner support for the inevitable divorce. what i believe drove her to this point is not just the lack of alpha qualities in her man but her perception that the beta bux are under threat by husband's mother... look through her post and comments, see the repeated references to the money, the entitlement to the cash. "bad at managing money" = wanting to split the mortgage 50/50 and supporting his mother for whatever reason (we don't know if she is …

Agreed.. we should take her story and realize it's the equivalent of some married dude being propositioned to no strings attached sex with a 10. I think most of us here in TRP are just angry betas, that's why it's so easy to get this slut shaming train going all the time.
