Same, I tried following other women’s subs, self improvement subs, etc, they didn’t fill the void! Haha.

Yeah, I followed a lot of FDS related subs while the FDS sub was private, and one of the things I did not understand at all in the FDS dissent subreddit was talking about how FDS is conservative and puritanical regarding the 3 month rule, and saying FDS is Tradcon when that’s just clearly not true and the 3 month rule isn’t about sexual purity at all. I’m preaching to the choir saying this over here, but I feel like those people clearly didn’t read the handbook and don’t understand the strategy …

Reading it was a BLESSING. I think after a breakup a lot of people don’t get closure, like why did he do x? Did I do x wrong? But I got all the closure I needed and it literally painted him in the worst possible light, so it’s been super easy to move on and not be sad!

Yes! I’ll just respond to your comment and also address things other commenters said here - was he unattractive? Not at all, I found him quite attractive, but he was deeply insecure which was something I didn’t realize when we first got together (one, because I was young and naive, but two, because I was also a lot more insecure than I thought I was at the time). But yes, I think it’s a lot of what you said, he wanted to try his hand at dating and sleeping around, but he’s so afraid of dating an…

Yes, this happened with my ex. So many FDS principles were drilled into my brain with what happened in that relationship, we got together in college but for a lot of reasons, he had low self esteem and felt like a loser, he felt like I was out of his league. We got together, graduated, and I pushed him to go after certain jobs and professional credentials. Once he climbed up to a certain level, and got a female therapist, he felt like he could do better than me. He broke up with me, his stated r…

I love when men say “she gives me permission” like it excuses the most hateful and deranged behavior. Also I’m sure it was his idea, and he probably even pursued his career to impress WOC whom he has clearly fetishized to an extreme degree. It is absolutely shocking how people think kink is this federally protected class and if you are having sex with someone you can say and do whatever you want to them with no consequences. I just wrote in a previous comment yesterday that I missed sex, but rea…

I feel the same way. I have a super high sex drive and I miss sex so much, but like everyone has already said, maybe 10% of men (at BEST) are any good in bed, and most of them want to do the most degrading bullshit, don’t reciprocate oral, last 20 seconds, etc. And yes, in my pro-hookup pick me days, I experienced exactly what you’re talking about: men say they want sex, but it’s not about sex at all, it’s about domination and control. I was considered “good” in bed because I was super active an…

Can someone copy paste? The second link isn’t working for me and this looks really interesting

Yep, this is a huge problem, I’m a perfect example of this. Started watching p0rn around 10-11, and I’ve struggled with a few abuse/degradation kinks. Luckily I never tried the more extreme things in real life, but in some ways that’s even more disturbing - I want to watch/imagine violent scenarios that I wouldn’t even want to actually do?? I’m reconditioning myself to only get off to wholesome scenarios (in my imagination) but I’ve definitely noticed it takes longer to get off. Hopefully this i…

Completely agree! It exposes so many cultural scripts for how disgusting they really are, like you said!

This is not an answer to your question at all, but I literally love this movie so much I watched it 3 times in a week LOL. I feel like this movie showcases so many different concepts we talk about here on FDS: rape culture and the myth of the nice guy/how the grand majority of men are complicit (at best) with a culture of sexual violence, how pickmes are flying monkeys for patriarchy, etc. I actually listened to a podcast review where the reviewer said she didn’t like this movie because it makes…

Yeah, we really need to see less of this…reading these ravings is horribly depressing

Oh my god this show should have been called Male Entitlement Island. Watching these guys be confronted for the things they said and then making excuses, blaming the other men, saying things were “taken out of context” when they literally could have been said in any context and been fucked up….it’s exhausting to watch. And then watching the women fall for it was even more exhausting. This show is the perfect example of why women need FDS. There were so many red flags - SO MANY! It’s just so sad s…

Debunking and understanding diet/wellness culture has been a huge game changer for me when it comes to self esteem and overall mental health, it’s honestly one of the main pillars that has allowed me to level up and to truly heal from my need for male validation. I know there are a lot of different opinions on this sub about all sorts of different topics and dieting is certainly one of them, but if you’ve ever struggled with disordered eating, constant dieting attempts, restrict-binge cycles, et…

Hi! Would love to be flaired, but would also understand if I don’t have a long enough comment history 😄 thanks!

Great comment. I just got out of a 5 year relationship and found out the person I was dating, was not the person I thought he was (after he broke up with me, I read his journal and went through his phone history and found he was obsessed with looks, sex, and had been reading the red pill). He basically broke up with me because I was not performing femininity adequately - obviously after reading all that, I am so so grateful he broke up with me. I can’t imagine trying to adjust my personality and…

Oh yes, I feel this. I had a super high libido and a need for male validation - so casual sex was my MO. I’m newly single now and it’s hard not to swing back into that, but realistically I know it’s not worth it, since most casual sex isn’t sexually satisfactory for women!!

I am DYING laughing!!! What the fuck! I cannot imagine anyone literally would read this and think it sounds good/attractive?!

Oh my god, same. I wish we could have a meet up group but obviously I see why that wouldn’t be safe. But I would just love to have friends like you all IRL! The women on here all seem so strong, intelligent, and just overall badass, and it would be so cool to meet people with the same values. Recently I was talking to someone I’ve been friends with for 6 years and said I was reading a radical feminist subreddit, and she was like FDS?? And I was like yessss! It was so nice to chat about the conce…

Yep, this is my ex. He started restricting our topics of conversation (couldn’t complain about work, couldn’t talk about politics, etc) because apparently everything I talked about was too negative/triggering/traumatic. (Yes, he literally said when I complained about work I was traumatizing him - lol.) I complied and started talking about those things less and less, made sure my tone was less negative and more neutral, but he still couldn’t deal. Then it got to the point where we could barely ta…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
