How great that you're realising it this early! I was a few years older. I have a masculine job, grew up with brothers, was a tomboy, and had no female role models (didn't look up to my mother much). My saviour has been Alison Armstrong. Gold mine. She has a couple of audio books/workshops on audible/amazon if you want to dive into it. I recommend starting with: "In sync with the opposite sex" and "Understanding women". Very much worth the money! Switching off masculine work mode after work is ve…

Just checking: are you clear on wanting children and a family? Your job/career or how much your income is, is not what's attractive to a man. In fact, it doesn't matter. Many women make the mistake of leading with showing how great and productive they are in their career. For masculine men who want a more redpill-leaning relationship, it won't matter much how big your pay is. Your passion is attractive. Passion for your job, hobbies other people, etc. Wish I learned this at your age. Women tend …

I started watching Jordan Peterson clips on YouTube years ago. Did that a lot, plus other similar self development content. They were great and eye opening. . But after a while I noticed they were all male, and mostly saying things the men needed to hear. I also started realising that if none of the men I wanted preferred me back that's MY problem, not theirs. So I started to look for the equivalent female inspiration. Took a while, but found a clip of Alison Armstrong on YouTube, and that was i…

Yes, I've also seen men I know develop and grow with the responsibilities of a serious relationship (with a respectful and good woman). Especially if they haven't been close to women who trusted them and let them lead before...

In reply to both your latest posts (timezone-challenges and holiday here, so my replied are very slow): I agree on many of your points. Some of the things you mention are excactly what I'm trying to avoid. I don't want to end up in the "mentoring"-role for his personal development. And I don't want to tell him how to change after my will (even though I must admit, that is tempting at times). And I'm weary of treating him in a way that will.make me resentful and/or bitter. He's never been in a re…

Oh wow, that's an idea, never would have thought of that. Could be a fun thing to do together. In what way would you exercise/muscle building is generally uplifting for men specially? ...just curious of your take on it.

That's all great. ...except a few things I react on, those I'm wondering if I could encourage more/less of in a good way. It's hard for me to let myself fall in love before I've looked at flaws and what they mean. I might be too logical and theoretical. I just fall for people very slowly, and never blindly.

I think a big chunk of it is self confidence. I've really improved mine the last couple of years, so I think that's partly why it's so important to me that he's doesn't for example turn awkward in a group of people, and tries to take up as little space as possible. In addition, I should mention that, I as someone from a dysfunctional family, it's extra triggering when a guy I'm dating shows (small) signs of not always standing up for himself. It took me years to get there myself, and I'm not end…

I think you're very right on several accounts there. He has started reading books on personal growth though (one of which I recommended to him). That's partly why I think this has real potential, because he's not just leaning back being lazy, but wants to learn and grow. -So I thought it could be helpful if I knew how to do my part and encourage in a healthy way, while still working on myself.

Thank you for recommendations! I'm all for reading up on things. I've seen that first book mentioned several times here at redpill. Maybe it's time I take the hint... I've been following Alison Armstrong for a few years, that changed so much for me, and was how I ended up here. Haha, yes I think so too:) We both have our own friends to ask for advice, and then we get back to each other with what we have learned. It's pretty weird, but I appreciate our honesty.

That is an excellent question. Wondering that myself. I suppose if I give him space to be, I'll see if he does.

I see that might not be clearly written. I am attracted to him, there are just some aspects I'm not attracted to. And because I'm hesitant to take it further with things being as they are, I'm asking these questions so I don't decide too quickly it's just over.

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I'd like to encourage him to engage in building himself. But I am honestly unsure exactly how I do that without putting him down, or for it to come out as complaining that he isn't good enough...

Thank you. Yes, I think restraining myself is a big clue. I should probably work on being more patient and not expect him to fall into the leading role the minute I open up room for it. I have been working on my femininity, and I must say it's a surreal and new experience that I don't have to take charge or produce anything for him to like me. Wish I knew this 14 years ago...

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
