This wasn't kamikaze, this was a straight up return to sender.

I watched it happen to the the first MGTOW, don't really want to watch it happen here. MGTOW is already a solution to the problem, so there's no reason to obsess over the problem. Instead, let's focus on the solution.

I realize the divorce rate (and certain fallacies related to that statistic), and I realize that a lot of people are unhappy in their marriages- that's why I'm full monk mode. But the purpose of r/MGTOW2 is for discussion regarding independent male life, not the condemnation of relationships and women. These posts don't belong here. That's why my advice is to not worry about the bad things that might happen, and just be happy that his friend's happy.

What's with the recent uptick of "wihminz is poison" posts? That shit belongs in r/MGTOW, not here. And you should be glad that your friend is happy now, not heartbroken that there's a possibility that he'll be betrayed in the future. He might be one of the lucky ones who marry a worthwhile woman, so don't let your own caution ruin your relationship with him.

Yeah, I guess that's kind of the point.

MGTOW isn't really a single philosophy as much as a collection thereof. The unifying premise is "men need to do what is good for them regardless of societal expectations," but the derivations are numerous. The most infamous derivation is "men need to withhold assistance and resources from women because they actively seek to exploit men," which is parallel to inceldom and gives the entire set of philosophies a bad reputation. Many MGTOW take a more wholesome and balanced approach, such as treatin…

Well said, my man. I think MGTOW should be more about understanding yourself, your motivations, and your circumstances to become your ideal self rather than random misogyny.

IMO, you should help a woman if you would help a man in the same situation. Honestly, the whole premise behind MGTOW is ignoring the arbitrary rules of both society and your boner. Society's rules can be used to extract every bit of usefulness from your body, mind, and soul if you're not looking out for yourself, and boners are infamous for making very, very, very poor decisions. So, yes. There are times you should help women. And as a side rant, MGTOW forums that expressly state that you shou…

I'd say there's nothing wrong with enjoying the platonic company of women. They are, after all, people. Hell, I actually don't see anything wrong with having a romantic or sexual relationship with women. But like any relationship, if they start looking for any kind of personal gain out of the relationship (at your expense), it stops being a mutually beneficial relationship, and it's generally a good idea to cut those toxic relationships (platonic or otherwise) out of your life. To me, that is th…

That's the thing that got me banned from the original MGTOW page. The original MGTOW page became so consumed with the same vein of hatred towards women that is typical of inceldom, in my view. MGTOW and inceldom are not unrelated in that sense, but my ideal view of MGTOW is more related to empowerment of men (and more generally people, now that I've gone so far monk that sex and gender mean little to me anymore), whereas inceldom is more related to dealing with what they view as the flaw of bein…

Incels, by literal definition, aren't MGTOW in either sense of the word (incels don't engage in relationships because they are "too ugly" or what-have-you for any woman to date them, and they live a life that is strongly defined by external rules and mores, so they follow very strongly defined paths in life instead of paving their own way). And like many small minorities, they seem more common than they are because they are very loud and obnoxious. Also, I have no idea what you're talking about …

At a rough estimate, I would say maybe 1-2% of men are explicitly MGTOW in the sense that they refuse formal relationships and their strings. The number of "men going their own way" in the philosophical, individualistic sense would be around 3-5%.

This doesn't sound very credible- it makes massive extrapolations from not very much data. Assuming the premise of sperm entering the bloodstream and penetrates whatever cells they find holds, this would happen every time age engages in sexual activities- not just whenever she has a new partner. How much of her DNA in her brain is her original DNA would be a function of how many times she had sex, not of her "body count". Then it's assuming that the altered DNA has a significant effect on her be…

There's nothing wrong with hope, brother. Going your own way is about going your own way. No one can tell you what is right for you, so figure it out and become your best self.
/r/MGTOW204/09/19 05:53 AM

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. MGTOW is about having control over your own life, and you can only truly control yourself, and that control includes respect. You can only control who you respect, not who respects you, and my understanding of respect doesn't involve the opinions of the other. To only respect those who respect you takes away the control of who you respect and forces the focus of respect solely to what others think of you, which is part of what MGTOW professes to avoid. My rea…

One can respect someone who doesn't respect them without losing self-respect. It seems a little immature to insist on quid pro quo on respect in every relationship.

The problem with this question is there are many flavours of MGTOW. You have your red pill ragers, your MGTOW monks, and a couple like middle who take a slightly more literal interpretation of "going your own way" to mean living life according to your own standards, not the one's impress upon you by society. IMO MGTOW is not mutually exclusive with romantic relationships, so long as those relationships meet the standard of being mutually beneficial (or at least beneficial to the man, though I pe…

Getting over the red pill rage is the next step to Going Your Own Way and becoming your very best self. To me, MGTOW was never about shunning all romantic relationships- just the ones that are inherently detrimental to ourselves. There are plenty of couples who mutually benefit each other, and there are many people- both men and women- who are truly better and happier when in a healthy relationship. It's not true for everyone, of course, and that's where MGTOW really shines- by telling men that …

To me, MGTOW is about saying "To Hell with societal expectations, I'm going to be the absolute best man I can be in my own way." In my philosophy, that means going full monk mode (because attachments can distract from the pursuit of fulfillment of one's best self), being as self-reliant as possible, keeping your nose out of other people's business without invitation (and in that case providing as much help as you can without being taken advantage of), and providing service to society at large (c…

You be fair, this modern all-you-can-eat buffet in dating is probably as emotionally harmful to women as men. Women are just less likely to get economically ruined at the same time. I mean imagine for a second that you're a moderately attractive woman- let's say 6/10. When you're 22, you can pick a guy in the bar and pay attention to him, and odds are he'll tell you sweet nothings. You feel happy, because everyone has told you that in order to be happy in life, you have to be in a relationship, …

Look, dude. I recognize you. I don't even have to look up your history, because I remember your antics from the original MGTOW sub. You're either a high effort troll or so deeply addicted to red pill rage that you can't accept the possibility of self-improvement because that would mean you, a man (presumably), are flawed by your own existence rather than as a result of women being out to get you. In either case, this isn't the sub for this kind of post. This is a place for men to focus on their …

Please remember that this is r/MGTOW2, where we're more focused on being better men rather that whatever the hell women are doing. That said... I do find it personally irritating that shows that target my age group so often elevate the status of women at the cost of both the male characters and the story itself. Mary Sue's really just ruin any story they're in, and nowadays they're seen as acceptable because they've been shoved down everyone's throats so much that many people my age consider any…

Holy shit, yes! You have no idea how much more respect I have for this sub because of this message, u/Impossible-asset. When I came here from r/MGTOW, I was worried it would be more of the same "I hate wehmen" bullshit. I am so glad that there's actually a mod here enforcing the "Focus on improving yourself, men" idea, which I think should be central to the whole MGTOW philosophy anyway. Thank you so fucking much, my man!

How do you reconcile the extremely individualistic philosophy of MGTOW with socialism? In fact, most of the things you've said make me wonder if your understanding of MGTOW is remotely similar to my own. Your political opinions (with the exception of feminism and only supporting Orange Man because he's better than the alternatives) are all directly opposite to my own. Actually, as a whole, I don't think we'd get along well at all, sir, so I'm just going to see myself out.

Focus on friends and family for your social needs. What works for me is thinking about things in terms of societal goods and bads, and focusing on providing societal goods. As for libido, you're basically limited to masturbation, meditation, and if need be, medication.

Sorry, just a human fable as opposed to being based in some sort of event and then being re-interpreted, like Noah's Flood (Mesopotamia actually did flood very heavily around that time). Most if not all of the stories are intended to be (depending on your viewpoint) either a moral guide or a means of keeping people in line.

Highly irrelevant to original post, but there is some truth to "ignorance is bliss." Still, 90% sure the Garden of Eden story is just a human fable intended to teach that knowledge is dangerous.

It means "All Women Are Like That," as in money-grabbing, selfish individuals who use their privileged societal status for person gain at the expense of men. To summarize: what you call MGTOW blaming the whole female gender. Is it fair? Maybe not. Probably not. But neither is it fair that countless men here have had their lives ruined financially, societally, and spiritually because of women who "are like that." For the record (and this will probably be unpopular here, but that's the point of Go…

It's far easier to deal with the consequences of saying AWALT than those of interacting with a woman who is like that; MGTOW exists because the risk/consequence balance for relationships is straight-up fucked right now.

You're right. I guess my point is we shouldn't discount women as professionals simply because they are women; I don't know whether they're at any kind of disadvantage courtesy of their sex (though I suspect social conditioning can't help). Obviously, you aren't arguing for throwing women's resumes out just because they're women, so I'll concede that we shouldn't keep obviously unqualified resumes on account of belonging to women. I'm not personally a recruiter, so I'm not well qualified to speak on the difficulties of actually categorizing candidates. As for the statistics, I think that hiring to a quota combined with an uneven male:female ratio creates this skewed competency dynamic in which the men in a given position will be on the whole more qualified than the women. That is to say, I think the general perception of women being worse as a function of their gender is a result from SJW BS in the first place. Essentiall…

Machine Learning will always be limited by its data. I do think that it's probably not a great idea to use this model because the pool of viable candidates is seeing a more even male-to-female than before, so the assumption that a candidate is not qualified based on gender (which is implied through the historical data) is not valid. This is equally true if it is a human making the decisions. I dislike this assumption that women are entirely incapable on account of their gender. I've met highly c…

Can you stop with the calls to action? MGTOW is not a movement, it's a philosophy. We're here because we're choosing a lifestyle that is better for ourselves; any consequences to women are generally secondary. How does what other people do affect you? MGTOW is about going your own way. What you need is to find a way to be yourself, by yourself, and enjoy your own company. It's not easy, trust me. But one of the first things is to stop viewing yourself as a consequence of the world and its people; the world isn't a kind or just place. What helps me is to view the world as a consequence of your actions, find out what you can to do to help fix this fucked up mess (or at least minimize your impact), and a…

Given your aspirations, you're probably pretty high-T, and unfortunately libido goes with the territory. Easiest solution is to beat the meat. I'd personally recommend that you limit how often you do so, because it tends to form a positive feedback loop (i.e. the more you beat, the more quickly libido returns). Basically, find a balance point that works for you. More advanced libido control includes meditation and medication (go to a doctor about this).
