You do it the same way you do anything difficult. Like eating an elephant. One bite at a time. Is it difficult? Yes. But, when you find yourself walking through hell, you just keep walking. And don't stop.

Beware. Her lawyer can draft up anything and call it a final decree, and if you sign it, it will be.

Well, after the felony neglect of her elderly mother charge and CFS moving the kids to my house, it seemed like the right tike. Though one could still say she initiated it, but damn sure didn't want it

You're stumbling over dollars to pick up nickels. Youre focused on a short term gain over someone who will not give a fuck about you by dinner time. Except to tell his friends about the meat head he deposed earlier today. Your job at a deposition is to be the most boring, unintentional, and controlled man in the room. Don't be an actor. You're not a good one. Hell, you're not even a bad one. Taking the high road is generally boring, not fun, but it also provides the most future opportunity. You …

Unless it's all well documented over the years, witnesses, and it's true...why are you concerned with this? Judges and lawyers arent stupid.

There is a commercial going around on TV in the US about snoring and the remedy and the guys "wife" character says 'yeah and we can stay married'. That's how flippant we've become about divorce.

No more phone calls. Nothing on a phone call can't be handled via email.

Stop being petty and respect your girlfriend. Tell her nothing and do not allow her to impose her wishes and move the fuck on.

Remember, anything you say can and will be held against you. If youre only ever communicating in writing, and that's all you should ever do, they can never hold what you don't type against you. The third party app isn't your enemy. It's all about your own self control. Oh, and "No." Can be a complete sentence and complete email.

Dude, how many chicks are you looking to date? You're way too overly concerned about how many women there are that you don't want to date.

Who cares about the portion, substantial or not? You're looking to find them and pass on them.

Some will see this as an issue. Maybe they see it as baggage and they want someone less jaded or more innocent etc. The good thing for you is those are her red flags. The woman you're looking to date does not see this as a problem. A lot of men in their late 20s have exes. So use this as a litmus test for the maturity of the caliber woman you're looking to date and date with purpose.

First, stop talking to them. Period. From this moment forward, you do not answer any phone calls, make any phone calls, speak in person, or any other form of communication other than email. Do not answer anything outside of specific kid needs. Kid needs to be here or there or somewhere at this or that time and who is responsible for pick up or drop off. Every email is potentially going to be read by the opposing council or yours in the future. Allow her emails to be used against her. Speak to yo…

Dont try using legal terms. Speak normally as a regular person trying their best to navigate this and listen to the other advice you got here. If youre going to cite something. Make an exhibit. Then cite the exhibit. She wrote you an email and said this and this. Bring the entire email, not just what was said.

Until the kids are 18, at least. Set your mind for a much longer game than this and reconsider what are your true goals. Then decide what is worth the squeeze and when to apply it.

There is no clear path forward, friend. Look, youre in a hell specific to your hell. First, when you find yourself walking through hell, rule 1 is DONT STOP WALKING. I was in hell, once. For me, in retrospect, its like climbing a mountain. I hope this helps provide perspective. Though I know it wont be any time soon. Climbing a mountain is hard. It sucks. And the peak, your destination, the summit, is blocked by clouds and you cannot see it. Yet, if you just keep going, you get there. But goddam…

Good on you. Some really piss and vinegar people in here. My ex filled my then 6F with all kinds of one sided information. We divorced/separated when she was 2. All kinds of questions about why did I abandon her/them (you mean why did I divorce the person who openly told me she didnt love me, was cheating on me, and moved to her moms house with my kkds?) I dont answer her questions and told her she was far to young for these conversations, with me or with her mother, and that she just needs to k…

Never said anything less than fuck that cheating bitch. But taking your/her child away from that cheating whore might save that child's life. The child didnt lie to him.

This sucks. There's no way around it. Consider that little girl's feelings too. If youre all she knows, you are her father. Would fighting for her give you some purpose?

I live in southern usa. Go out to breakfast on Saturday morning to the local waffle diner with my daughter. The reactions change significantly depending if Im wearing my wedding ring, or not, and the age of the waitresses.

If you find evidence that he isnt good to them, act on it.(rationally and legally) Otherwise, for the sake of your kids, never speak of him in front of them. In the future, the kids will always remember either the things you said, so dont say them.

Releasing the amger is how we move forward. It's not easy. But consider one thing: for your children, life is about love and happiness. As long as that man is good to your children, lean on that.

There was a post here recently where someone asked if it was men's fault for making poor choices in partners. Obviously, that is a very nuanced answer because people grow and change. But, to me, this is one of the main reasons men shouldn't get married or should be ultra selective in allowing a woman to marry him. Men need to be taught what to look for in their partner choices. Sure, big tits and blow jobs are great, but keeping your earnings and having the respect of and respecting your partner…

My wife thinks my ex has,, what she calls, adult onset autism. She sends emails requesting time with the kids above what is set in the agreement. Then, when told no, sends me multiple emails calling me every name in the book. My favorite was that I am a dictator and everything is my way only. I mean, yeah, thats what primary custody with final decision making authority means.

So many horror stories, I hope mine gives you a smile? 3 years, 53k in lawyer fees Fortuantely, the judge saw through her and her lawyer's bullshit. She kept agreeing to a deal on something, then try to renegotiate as though she hadnt negotiated, at all, but renegotiate from the new position she had already negotiated. Mediation agreement? Yep, signed in early April. Reneged in early May. The last sentence I ever heard, directly, from the judge was: "Solve your money issues to the benefit of the…

You need to ask your lawyer about your laws on paternity. What happens to you if she delivers that baby before you are divorced? I know a man paying child support for a baby that isnt his because the baby was born while they were still married. Its worth the question.
