I am not sure what these terms stand for so don’t know what to respond, hahah.

Huh? I don’t care who they sleep with. I couldn’t care less. What I meant to say is if women sleep with literal assholes, drug addicts and such, maybe for a man it is worth stopping and thinking that maybe a woman who CONSTANTLY pursues such men is not GOOD for them? Being attracted to such people ONLY is, to me, a sign of some underlying problem - bad childhood, emotional problem, unresolved issues. Being attracted to a visibly and undeniably bad, toxic, addicted, mentally unhealthy people is a…

The commenter below summed it up pretty well. A guy who is responsible enough to prioritise his education over random hooking up is the most attractive thing. A guy who worked hard, studied, earned money whatever because wanted to do so for himself is the pinacle of it all. It shows responsibility on his part, which in my view is the most important thing a person should have.

Not hate, just not interested. I mean look, I am putting a lot of effort into being self-confident and speaking my mind. I was a shy teen - scared to go up to the waiter in a restaurant, shy to say if something bothered me, etc etc. I, personally, as a woman, am actually trying to get rid of this trait to a certain extent - shyness and complacency can actually be very beneficial at times, but what I am talking about is getting rid of the “spineless” behaviour. So, if I am actively trying to get …

Well, sure, that is your opinion. I am really against with you throwing serious medical abnormalities at people, though… That’s what I am disagreeing with, not your opinion. You do you. Whatever psychological “diagnosis” you are using (psychopath, emotionally stunted… like really?) is not only wrong, it’s frankly quite dumb. And THAT’s the red flag :)

You do realize this a comment section? And social interaction where social cues are actually present and can be understood happens in real world? When people actually talk with their mouths? A person has stated that they believe dislike dogs is a red flag and psychopathic behavior. Twice. In a comment section. You’re really asking me if I’m autistic?

What do you mean by disliking? I avoid big dogs because one almost bit me for no reason at all - I was passing by minding my business. I roll my eyes when an irresponsible owner let’s his dog run around and bother people, or the dog starts barking really loud in a restaurant… if you can’t handle your dog, don’t have one or leave him at home. Does this qualify as disliking? Or what does? Also, are you seriously comparing disliking something to psychopathy? Like really? Do you even know the defini…

I do not particularly agree with that definition of submissiveness. Why would he choose what I order? That is definitely not how it works in my family. Everyone chooses their own food and a restaurant is often a mutual decision. This is where my upbringing comes in. As I mentioned, his expenses will cover something we do together, like a holiday. But when it comes to stuff like beauty procedures, clothes, all that, I will always pay for myself. He can of course buy me gifts, which will be very…

Interesting questions! Yes, I do put a lot of effort into my image, in a sense that I really care how I look and aim to look my best. It is not for the benefit of other though, but for me. I feel really good and confident when I look in the mirror and like what I see. I put a lot of effort in my appearance. I would say I am more submissive in a sense that I like for a man to take a lead in certain things. Now hear me out. I have already gotten in a dispute with another commenter who took „being …

This is such a great comment! I grew up watching 2 generations of my family function perfectly like this and I really loom forward to having the same dynamic in my relationship. All women in my family are high achievers and earn their own income, are able to do pretty much anything. But, they still adhere to the feminine/masculine dynamic. I do understand why women would think traditional equals baby making stay at home abused mom (like the commenter above), but it's really not how it is most ti…

See, that's your preference - you do not want to be in a traditional relationship and no one is forcing you to.Why do you shit on other women who do? Also, FYI, traditional remains has many different definitions and manifestations and in my mind (and I see in the minds of other women who commented below), it is definitely not what you said.

I see myself as having more "traditional" leaning views on men and women, but even to me, this whole "not being vulnerable" thing is totally ridiculous. We are all people. We all have ups and downs. We are all allowed, or rather SHOULD cry when we are sad. I'd rather him cry when he is sad and scream when he is angry than die in his 40s from repressed emotions.

This is a lot of mental gymnastics right there... Are you seriously calling me an escort for wanting a man to pay on the first date? Oh no no, I am as far from American as I can be, hahah. I am from Ukraine. First date can even be a walk in the park for me or a stroll through the city. Of course, if a man invites me to a restaurant on the first date and I like him (aka see a potential for a relationship), I will not refuse. But then if HE invites me, as in, chooses to invite me, I would subconsciously "expect" him to pay since he invited me. I feel like expect is too much of a harsh word though. It's something I would think h…

I understand and agree with most of what you say. Of course, you need to contribute more to the relationship - time, interests, comprises, support. Question is, if you pay on the first date anyway, why did you give me such a hard time? hahah

Okay, I am interested actually to see the reason why you don’t pay for the first date but then feel comfortable paying for everything else later on. I am genuinely curious as to the logic, maybe it will make me change my mind / approach as well. So if you could share, it’ll be nice! Also, I am absolutely up to reciprocating things. In fact, I do not expect a man to literally fund me. I love giving expensive gifts for example, 100% paying for my own expense like beauty procedures or other stuff. …

I am not turning down any dates because I am not going on dates at the moment. I do not know what I will do in the future. I can say what are my expectations now. Also, Swedish men paying for things later on? Which planet are you on? Aren’t Nordic countries the most egalitarian societies?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 10:37 AM
1

Are you illiterate? I said I would not go out with a Swedish guy in the first place because we will have 0 things in common. Also I find Eastern European men significantly more attractive than any Western European.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 10:31 AM
3

My family culture, which belongs to Ukrainian culture. It is pretty normal / common for men to pay there, even within my (younger) age group - early 20s and especially in older groups.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 09:31 AM
1

No, you are are totally wrong. The “not paying” part would be in exceptional circumstances, such as going on a date with a guy from, say, Sweden, whom I know will expect to split. But, that’s why I am not keen on going out with me. We will not align on many things. Or under some exceptional circumstances such as idk, his card doesn’t work or smthz So don’t jump to conclusions based on your own delusions.

Why are preferences gross?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 09:19 AM

As I said, it would be an exceptional situation if I’d ask a man out. Not planning on doing it. I believe it is men who should ask women out ☺️ Hope this clarifies things.

I would generally not ask a man out. If I did, yes, it’d be nice if they did pay but I’d be okay with paying for myself. Him paying is still preferred though. It also depends on WHERE we are going.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 12:48 AM
2

It reallt does depend on a culture. For example, I am from Eastern Europe and currently live in Western Europe temporarily. Given the culture here, I would not even expect a guy to pay and would be very very surprised if he does, but that is why I am not looking to date anyone from Western Europe, because our outlooks will probably be way too different. So what’s expected largely depends on where you are from and whom you are asking out. If you know a girl is Ukrainian for example, she would lik…

Because I would like a man to pay on the first date. I grew up in a culture where this is expected and a man would be himself insulted if he allows to split the bill. Not all, of course, but most men. So while it is not a top notch requirement for me it is something I will definitely consider as a point in whether I should pursue the relationship. To clarify because apparently red pill idiots think this is only a requirement for not attractive men. First of all, I will not go out with a guy who …

As a woman, I will, of course, pay for myself, but will most likely NOT go on the second day with the man. I say “most likely” because it will depend on a man and on the situation and context. I would expect the man to pay for the bill, but if he does split, I will pay for myself no questions asked.

Yes, I totally agree with you that me freaking out initially was not okay. I understand it’s my issue and I actually felt pretty silly after that because there was literally no point in freaking out. However, when he did not leave after I explicitly told him made me even more uncomfortable. So while the first part is totally on me, I don’t think being uncomfortable after the man refused to leave was silly you know.

No, not always but largely depends on context. If I am walking in an alley in the evening and a man approaches me for a number, it is more than inappropriate. However, I do not see how approaching is bad in settings such as parties, especially when organized by people who know each other, or cafes or book stores or art galleries. If there is a topic which can prompt a conversation, I don't see why not. It also matters HOW you approach. How do you start a conversation? If you come up and shoot a …

Obviously not disgusted. That would be crazy and mean. People are different and experienced are different. But, I would personally not date a virgin. That is even despite having only 1 long term relationship and hence body count of 1. I would definetely not be comfortable with dating a virgin. I will probably be in charge of teaching him stuff. It sure is.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/23 08:57 AM

Your second sentence is exactly why I decided to end the relationship with my current boyfriend. He is not changing and I matured enough to stopped expecting him to. So I decided to end things due to incompatibility. With heavy heart since I do love him still, but I do not want for this kind of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 08:27 PM

I wouldn’t say there is peer pressure, because I can genuinely say I am pursuing and achieving things because that is what I want to do. I understand it takes time to find yourself, but the problem I see is that they actually do WANT something, but DO nothing to achieve those things. Also I am not really “hustling”, since as I said I have no immediate need to earn my own money. Yet, I still want things. Maybe it is not a maturity thing, but it this drive to achieve things is crucial in a partner…

This came out as a very long comment. Sorry. Hmm. Interesting questions. Now, as I reflect on if, perhaps it is more about priorities. I’d argue that gold digger age gap is not ridiculous either. Those men know exactly what they are getting themselves into, same as women. Aa long as they are legal adults, they can do whatever they want.

Yes, obviously I am not fit to make my own choices 😂 To answer your question. To me, 20-23 year are, usually, way too immature and unstable. In my relationship, I want stability, maturity and security. I do not want to worry about whether my boyfriend is going to graduate, get a job, be able to support himself and such. Of course, there are 20 year olds who have their shit figured out, and 28 year olds unemployed and without prospects. But, the reverse occurs more often. I personally feel much m…

I am 20, and my minimum age “requirement” for a boyfriend is 24-25, ideal being at least 28 and maximum 32. This is for a long-term relationship, because it so happens I am not interested in hook ups or anything purposefully short-term. We see successful age gap relationships all the time. We see unsuccessful same-age relationships all the time. There is no one rule for this, you do you. I do get the „feel” behind it, but as a woman it’s not so much about height but about general understanding the man can protect me if something happens. Maybe it also stems from a fact that I am like 5’1” I think (154) and to me 190 is way too much in any case. I personally think it’s all a game of chance after all. But, I digress. Your point that …

Just realised only men can comment directly so here: In my current relationship it’s 50/50, as we are both students supported by parents, though I do earn more due to a part time job. But I would not be very keen on doing the same in my future relationships though. The question is what type of men? I don’t have any desire to fuck around. Frankly, I would only enter a relationship if I’d see long term potential in it, just like I did with my current boyfriend. Unfortunately, “the long term” didn’t work out so I will soon be single and the realisation of not being a virgin anymore doesn’t sit right with me 😭

Depends. In my case I have only ever had one sexual partner. We were both virgins (17 years old), so we never have taken tests before becoming active. It’s the same for my friends who are in exact same situation. I will 100% do a panel after this relationship though and would require future partner to do so as well. Depends in the region, I guess. It may work in the Western countries. It probably won’t work well in Eastern countries. Many of us, girls AND boys are raised with (healthy) notions of masculinity and femininity. Some are raised with screwed up views, so I guess I should only speak for myself. In my family, personally, all women earn and earn decently. However, when it comes to paying for dinners and such it is always the man who pays. When it comes to first dates, it is still kind of a default f…

If OP meant that, it is actually a very weird notion to me. Say I see a guy, I find him visual attractive, say he approaches me. If I see a wedding ring on his finger my thought process will be something like: „Oh, what a shame. Not interested”. And I would move on.

I gueds we should also define what results are. I saw results after 3-4 months, but I still do look 100 times better after 2 years than I did after 3-4 months. After a year I was very happy with how I look, but now, 2 years after I am even happier and am now striving for even more, finding more things to improve.

It took me roughly two years to achieve the level of fitness and muscle tone and strength I am at now, with exercise 2-times a week. I was slightly underweight when I started and also did not take any kind of supplements or additives until about half a year or so ago. I am also not looking to increase strength, but achieve toned, slightly visible muscles and tune out imperfections.

I’d argue that working out everyday of the week is neither a reasonable nor healthy expectations from someone. Working out every day is actually NOT recommended. Your muscles simply won’t manage to recuperate and at its best you will not gaining anything from those exercise, and at its worse you will be hurting your body. Unless we are talking about different work outs. I understand work outs as 60 minutes sessions of varied fitness training to tone the muscles, lose fat in wanted places, improv…

Apologies, I used the word castration due to innaporiate understanding of the word 😅 english is not my first language. Actually apps are not as effective as actual FAM methods. But this is a different discussion. Well, when it comes to FAM ideally both partners should be involved. Absitenence or carefulness during fertile window takes two. I don’t know what dark triad is. For me, as I stated multiple times in the comments and in the original post, a bad guy is a person who is genuinely freaking bad. Abusive, manipulative, criminal, a literal asshole. I am not talking about “bad boys” who ride a motorcycle, wear a leather jacket and have tattoos. This is not being a bad boy. This is literal fashion style. I am also not talking about men who are assertive and speak their mind. Since when did it become a bad boy trait??
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 10:15 AM
1

Absolutely, but that is not my original point. I am simply stating that men should not be upset over women choosing „bad boys”. By bad, I mean literal assholes, not a guy who has a Harley. The reason they should not be upset, is because these women are to some extent damaged, in my opinion. Sane people will not knowingly choose to be with an asshole, no matter how attractive he is. I guess we are the minority though, so I understand why it is upsetting. I never said anything about not what you m…

And that is VERY sad and something I blame feminism and hook up culture for. Like, honestly, wtf?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 02:21 PM
12

Absolutely! I heard this somewhere: a lot of women prefer to fuck around and seek the “bad boys”, while while other say “quality” women seek long term relationships. Ultimately, these women mature enough to realise they want the “good guys”, but the good guys are already taken by the “quality women”. And then we receive tons of bitter women who then poison everything and everyone. Hence my suggestion to not be upset over not getting these women. Why do you need this toxicity in your life?

I never claimed ONLY certain type of women is attracted to such people. I am sure there are plenty of high quality women who are “drawn” to such men. Albeit, them being “drawn” remains at a hypothetical level, they may experience some kind of attraction, but it remains at the level of “what if”. The very fact that they do not act on it is what makes them high quality women. If they willingly subject themselves to toxicity, knowing that it will be the case, they are not high quality women. In my …

You shouldn’t be upset. There is nothing wrong with you. It’s the other person’s decisions. Will I be upset? Of course I will, we are all human. But I should understand that while I am upset and I can’t help it, I should not be.

I would remain with my opinion. Good natured and high quality women may like the idea of being drawn to a “bad boy” but will more often than not refuse to date such a person precisely because they are high quality. Of course, the fact that a man is a “bad boy” may surface later on, while in the beginning he will pretend he is not. That’s an entirely different matter. I am talking about men who are “bad” right of the bat, making women who chase them know exactly what they are getting themselves i…

/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 11:29 AM

To what end? Say you are chasing that girl, do you think you will have a happy relationship with her? Also, if she is indeed choosing bad guys over good guys, why would she end up choosing the good guy? It’s like a vicious circle. There is no point in chasing these women. Better to stay single.

Do you think it’s easier?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 11:22 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 11:15 AM

I have no ideas what “cope” is. My comment is my honest opinion. I believe these women have no self worth, hence do not see pursuit of such women as something men should strive for. But, to each their own.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 10:52 AM

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 10:11 AM

You are overlooking the fact that women who fuck these dudes have no self-worth and intergrity. Would you want to attract and date such a woman?

Am woman, can confirm.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 09:26 AM

Being a woman, I often have a hard time understanding “modern” feminist’s thought process. We’ve reached the age of equality never seen before. Women now can do whatever they want, sometimes even having more agency than men (not something I am fond of). Women own businesses, rule countries. I think more than half of the managers in my company are women. Modern feminism is a caricature on what it used to be. It makes problems where there are none. Oppression? Sure it existed 50 years ago, but now…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/23 09:12 AM

I think this is the most ACCURATE comment I have ever seen. People blame issues on age when, in hindsight, the same issues happen in relationships with no age gap. Sure, large age gap may proportionately result in more incompatibilities, just because a 40 year old man is more likely to already have children and not have time for anything else than a 22 year old man. You cannot compare looks to skill. The main difference the actors I mentioned are considered more „attractive” is because they, unlike a lot of average men have access to money, therefore personal trainers, cosmetic procedures, hair and clothes stylists. If we talk about their face structurally-wise, they are no different than a „average” men you see on the street. I’d agree that Ryan Reynolds may lean towards a slightly more handsome group. I wouldn’t force my preferences on anyone. I’d be happy to have a partner who shares my values and expectations. If they do not, then unfortunately, we are not good fit for each other. Yes, obviously it makes more sense for a 5’ tall me to carry heavy bags :) Can I do that? Sure as hell I can! Should I be doing that if I have a partner and that partner is three times bigger and stronger then me? I wouldn’t say so. But again, to each their own.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 10:55 PM

To clarify, I dont expect this dynamic from a person who does not want it. That is what similar values are for: both partner being comfortable in the relationship. If they do not want to play such roles, they are more than free to not do so. I would never expect anyone to change their behavior. Since when did cooking become such a burden?

That’s what I say too, “better 30” in his words. I think a relationship with an older man could provide more emotional stability precisely because most points of friction and worry are eliminated (the points you mentioned). Of course, it is not for everyone. I am sure there are plenty of young women who will find nothing in common with older men. At the same time, there are plenty of women who will.

That is true. I was raised in such environment where man is a man and woman is a woman. Not in a sense of “women cook, men work”, not at all. Honestly, most age ranges. From 20s to 40s and above. I actually really agree with your second sentences, it is the way I am. I cannot be attracted to a guy just based on looks. I can appreciate and think: oh, he’s handsome but for attraction to develop some time has to pass and a lot of conversation / interaction has to be involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 01:35 PM

So true! A simply change in clothes, hair, some perfume, beard / no beard can make a tremendous difference and I won’t let anyone tell me otherwise. It is true.

These are just shallow woman who cannot comprehend that human interactions go beyond sex. I cannot relate to seeing someone and wanting to fuck them… I don’t think in these categories. I guess some women do. Such as the one who commented that. What the fuck kind of sentiment is that??

I cannot tell how many because i will need have a conversation with them and actually develop a sound connection to consider them as a romantic partner. Ultimately, the feelings develop as you spend time with a person. Of course, if you are in the app, the things are different. I am talking about real world and real human connection which develop gradually and not through chats or swipes. I don’t do online dating and I don’t use apps.

Why are you bringing up the past? Right now, at this moment in time, the legal age is 18. You can rent a car, buy a house, move countries. And yes, you can date whomever you want for whatever reason. 2 years older or 20 years older. I do not see the point of nor the substance of your argument. Should we ban dating for 18 year olds because they are not “grown” enough? Why are you bring yourself into the equation? Is it illegal for you to exist now? To me personally, attractiveness is much more than looks. I would never find a guy attractive solely based on his face. I could appreciate his handsomeness and acknowledge it, but never be like outright attracted to him or something.

Personally, I can tell you that I feel similar when speaking to guys my age (I am 20). I see that we have practically nothing in common, in terms of values, expectations and outlook on life. I find it much more interesting to interact with older men, 5,7,10 years older. Most will likely disagree, but in my experience women mature faster than men. Could be a very individual experience, though. Also, funny of you to call a 20 year old a “baby cousin” :)

Understood. I see people bring out dating apps and put everything through that prism, which explains a lot. I am talking more about real life, people you meet at work, at restaurants. Online you see person’s still picture. In real life, you hear the person talk, how they behave and such. It’s totally different. I don’t do dating apps and never will, so my opinion may be different because of that.

Aa, now I get it! Totally agree with how a lot of women want just the advantages of feminism without the disadvantages :))) I guess it’ll make sense that Easter European women perceive most men as decent, because looks are not as important as other traits, such as masculinity. You are making quite a few assumptions, let me explain further. Perhaps, my stance and perception comes from the fact that to me looks are nearly not enough to elicit any kind of attraction except for visual appreciation. You know how you see a beautiful painting and appreciate it’s beauty? The same for me. I could see a visually handsome men (for me) and appreciate that. Hmm, I am not sure I totally agree since it seems Eastern women actually demand more than Western? As in, Western women want egalitarian relationship with the whole 50/50 setting, it seems. As much as I intend to earn my own money regardless of how wealthy my partner is, I am still quite traditional in a sense of gender roles and would like the man to adhere to some more gendered expectations while I adhere to mine. There seems to be a lot more parameters to this than I focused on. I was mostly talking about the face, something you can’t really do much about. I also find taller men with well trained muscles visually attractive, though the lack of these features does not, in any way, make them ugly.

I have been “stuck” at home for quite some time, since Covid. Not much human interactions due to certain reasons. Due to a change in circumstances, I am now spending a LOT of time with people and I am so enjoying this. Aside from that, I tend to pay attention to people just passing me on the street or sitting at a cafe. I just look at them because I am curious and I get to appreciate them. I so agree with you! I just commented somewhere how I find most male and female „stars” to be normal looking people. Normal in a sense that you could see such person on the street. It is just an overinflated image, scewed by people spending too much time online instead of going out and actually looking at people. At face value, most men are indeed normal looking, especially when putting effort in their appearance (neatness, tidiness, cleanliness). A lot of men are handsome. Some are less handsome, but still quite handsome. What men are these women looking for?

Yes, online dating definitely screws the curve. Nevertheless, I am talking about real world where connections are formed naturally and not with a “swipe right”. I find the whole idea bizarre to be honest. I would argue that getting to know an individual could impact the perception of physical attraction significantly. I guess I have a different way of understanding this. To me attractiveness is a combination of multiple factors, not just looks. I would not be attracted to a guy just because he is handsome. I will be able to appreciate the visuals, but it wouldn’t outright result in attraction. I can assess whom I find handsome or not so much, but attractiveness, to me, is ultimately built on factors such personal hygiene, smell, tidiness, cleanliness, conversation, mutual interests, values. I’d use ugly if a person has an outright deformity or something. Even then, I wouldn’t use it because it is a very rude kind of word. I’d classify most men I see in places as decent. Just normal looking men.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/23 10:28 PM

I get what you are saying! Maybe that is why I am also having trouble understanding what “below average looking” means. Like deformities? Because to me, average looking is literally any healthy (visually-wise) man who pays attention to his appearance. That is, smells good, has good hygiene, tidy hair and clothes. That’s it, basically.

Well, the thing is that men I personally would classify as not particularly attractive are often either married or in a relationship. While guys I’d classify as at least somewhat attractive and up to very attractive are often single. Funny. Do you know that personal business concerns actual people? How is this thread personal business? Are we discussing an actual tangible human being and their relationship with another tangible human being? We are not on a relationship sub. We are on a DEBATE sub, where people bring up GENERAL issues in terms of dating and relationships. If there is an irrational person here, it’s you :)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/23 10:16 AM

What does it change? Adult people are perfectly capable to understand the consequences and make decisions. Are you going to tell me which subreddit I can and cannot join? I am on this sub because I can be, I don’t see how it’s any of your concern?

Yes, but often it is still unwarranted. For example, when a post is made about a matter which is entirely unrelated to the age or the relationship, but some Redditors make it their purpose to point out the age gap exactly and build whole threads about it. That is, when the post is totally unrelated but does include ages and genders due to the rules of the sub. I am talking about these unprecedented actions.

Men all the way. Well taken-care of, healthy male body is peak aesthetic. Visually it is 100 times more appealing to me than woman’s is. Perhaps, it has to do with my sexuality as well. I am attracted to men, after all. Same goes for facial features. If a man knows how to dress, it’s through the roof. A tuxedo, or even some casual put-together outfit. I generally really enjoy men’s fashion.

In that case, everyone is vulnerable, because literally everyone can be exposed to [insert Oxford definition here]. It can happen regardless of age, or experience. So what do we do in this case? Ban relationships? A 50 year old woman may as well be caught up in an abusive relationship. It may be much less likely, but still. True, but the we risk avoiding something which can turn out to have been a great experience. That is, just because some number of women had bad experiences in age gap relationship, does not in any way mean that the same amount of women would. On the contrary, we see many successful and loving age gap relationships. It is not the matter of advice (for me), but the matter of how that advice is framed. Being genuine and nice and providing some well reasoned warnings based on personal experiences is one thing. To answer your first question: law. Law, is precisely what happens on the night of your 18th birthday. The same law allows you to rent a car, buy a house, get a hotel room, get a credit card, get married, move countries and so on. Your last paragraph is exactly why your way of thinking makes no sense. You yourself state there is no “judge” for predatory behavior. “Various readings” you mention are purely subjective.

You literally used that exact word in your comment… „Doesn’t it make more sense that they’ve seen a lot of people hurt and want to PROTECT them from that?” ???

Why do you assume anyone needs your protection?

Well, maybe. I can’t speak for all women, course. To me, it seems very weird, as a straight woman, in a sense that, I’ve never preferred a compliment or strived for a compliment from a woman. I do things for myself.

Same as you, at this point, I have no idea what men are looking for and how they work. I may be spending too much time on the internet. That said, I don’t subscribe to any kind of pill. I don’t even bother learning in-depth what red pill actually is. I think dividing people into categories is the worst thing you could do. People are so nuanced and so different, men and women alike. I guess I do spot some similarities between my preferences and the red pill, but not for the reasons they list. I d…

No. It’s the first time I hear that young men can allegedly handle older woman better. I do not think that is true. I have heard plenty of times how younger women dating older men isn’t good and it’s a bunch of bs. Of course it can be so, but what really irritates me is how younger women are portrayed as babies incapable of rational decision making.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 12:15 PM

I am not very familiar with her, but given that she sings and performs on stage I would doubt she is sloppy. It takes a great deal of preparation, actually.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 12:01 PM

Ah, understood! The situationship are something I strive away from the most, then. I do not see the point of starting a relatioship KNOWING that it will eventually end. Just to add, if at one point time I decide kids are not for me after all, then of courses vasectomy would be very welcome :)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 11:38 AM

What? First time I hear this. It’s the other way around. Please do not even speak of “young women can’t handle it psychologically”. It makes my blood boil, like wtf???
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 11:07 AM

Right at this moment, at my current age, yes. Later on? Perhaps a yes, as well. A child is a responsibility. Whatever someone says, if you enter a serious relationship with a single parent, it cannot but weigh you down and affect you. You will have to communicate with that change, you will have to arrange your plans around the child when you travel, when you go out. I am not ready for this kind of a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/23 10:03 AM

I don’t do one night stands, have no idea what a situationship is, but when it comes to a relationship, I’d guess it’s a bit a of a no? At this point in time, I am unsure whether I want kids one day. Let’s just say I sure as hell do not want them now or in the next 5+ years. What happens after, we will see. Not all relationships last, but as I only look for a long term relationship, future goals are important. A man who has a vasectomy is probably quite set on not having children, which of cours…

I disagree. Common interests are essential. If one person loves travelling and wants to do so at least a few times a years (including small one-day trips to another city and back) and the other does not want to leave the house because of indoor hobbies, then you have a VERY BIG PROBLEM. Of course, things like music are not essential to be shared, I mean come on. There are also plenty of hobbies one can enjoy by themselves, but when it comes to bigger stuff, it is a must, in my opinion. Working o…

I’d argue that Pilates is actually very, very good, especially for the posture. That being said, it is not in any way a substitute for fitness / functional strength training or the gym, if someone prefers that. Doing both, though, is very good. I personally do not go to the gym specifically because I have a personal trainer and work out with home equipment such as hand and leg weights, rubber bands and more. It works great for me because I have a comfort of my own home, while being supervised by…

Does not change the fact that she is, indeed, fat. Regardless of how talented she is, her body weight IS unhealthy and unattractive to most people. My heart goes out to people who are actively trying to lose weight, but cannot due to certain disorders. It is indeed very sad when a person strives to be healthy but their body doesn’t let them. But, as much as it is unfortunate, calling man shitty for striving to date an attractive woman is nonsense. Fat shaming, or ANY kind of shaming is bad. If y…

I second the second point. I don’t know why it is so hard for a lot of people to understand. From my experience, people who work out are actually very success-driven. I guess it is because working out requires an amount of will and “eyes on the prize”. If a person works out for the their own benefit and satisfaction (aka not to just score a mate and then regress), it is incredibly hot and I really appreciate it, because I am the same.

I concur with a personal example. A few years back, I was underweight BMI-wise, but I looked awful. While I was technically overweight, I had much more fat than muscle which visually resulted in the unsatisfactory look. I had tons of complexes about it, stupidly trying to eat less calories and lose weight even more. It was until I actually started working out. Now I naturally weight more due to higher muscle to fat ratio. Surprise surprise, muscles weight much more than fat but have a denser vol…

This is so baffling to me when after “locking” men in, women just stop taking care of themselves. What goes on in their minds? Why? It is very hard to comprehend for me, personally. I have been in a relationship for 4 years now, and I look at least 20x better than I did when we started dating and continue to improve because I want to. Call it vanity, but I like passing by a mirror and appreciating how I look, and then striving to look even better. I would not call myself a sport geek in any way.…

Hmm, then I’d day that LTR comes with significantly more expectations than hookups in terms of everyday life, behaviors, compatibility and such. So it is fairly normal that work needs to he done to be considered as a long-term partner 🤔

When I was underweight I look fatter than I am now with healthy weight hahahah
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 07:03 PM

I’d argue it’s not the “healthy weight” because you can’t know at face value what the weight of the person is. They are attracted to a healthy-looking, fit woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 07:03 PM

I looked chubbier when my weight was smaller and my BMI was below norm. I look good now when my weight is +2 kilos that before and BMI is healthy. BECAUSE, I do sports and stay fit. BMI or weight often has nothing to do with how you look like.

Yesterday, I cried because a pigeon drank water for a pool and I didn’t stop him in time. For the next hours I was blaming myself for his „potential” death. So no. FYI the fucker came back the next and drank some, but it turned out the pool does not have chlorine so I think he’s fine.

I’d say it’s sad for women who want an LTR and are ready to contribute and commit. I feel like the feminist movement really skewed societal perception on women’s expectations. It’s becoming hard for more traditional women and men to find partners, in my opinion. But I’ll add that LTR needs a lot of work to be put in too.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 10:10 PM

Totally agree, except for the make up part, hahah. If the woman expect a man to uphold traditionally masculine roles, she needs to reciprocate in the like. Same goes for egalitarian positions or partially egalitarian.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 08:57 PM
1

I think it is the case, yes. I mostly base my opinion from the online world or occasional debate videos which may be equally skewed.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 08:17 PM
4

Absolutely! However, I did not talk about openness to persuasion. I was talking about openness to a conversation, withoit the need to persuade anyone. People have different views and it’s normal to express these views. Nowadays, unfortunately, views which are not in line with the agenda are not simply ignored, they are considered an ultimate evil.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 07:26 PM
5

Unfortunately, more often than not I see lack of critical thinking in people who support these values. They are (not you specifically, but people I have had a chance to interact with) reluctant to accept any kind of counter arguments, suggestions, opinions. They are reluctant to hold any kind of discussion. Views are meant to be challenged, flaws pointed out, otherwise there can be no improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 07:19 PM
3

I know! You cannot say anything nowadays which disagrees with the main agenda, without it being shut down or misinterpreted (internationally or unintentionally). People seem to have lost the ability to listen, or, worse, hear only what they want to hear :( Also, I not only see your point but also largely agree with you, so there’s that 😂

Utterly disgusted. It’s their choice, of course but this is just mind boggling how they just offer themselves to some guy, no matter how attractive and while KNOWING he’a done this with a dozen other woman from the same gym at that. I don’t understand hook up culture in general, but CHEATING is beyond decent behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 05:36 PM
2

Sure can, I don’t dispute that. Just putting it through the prism of my own views, as I do not engage nor understand (for myself) the hook up culture thing. FYI sex is definitely not something to be put on the bargaining table, it’s just as stupid

True. I guess it’s just that man’s „top shelf’ness” drops to -1000000 if he does shit like that. For me, I mean. I also don’t see the point for women. It’s not like they are going to get gifts or be his girlfriend. Just for sex then… to each their own I guess

Horrible. Especially the bit about a married woman and the girlfriends?? I don’t tolerate cheaters in any shape or form especially when the situation is like that. I think they are talking about a relationship, not just casual sex. Even if it is a relationship though, blatantly assuming that a 21 year old and a 29 year old are in vastly different stages of life is stupid. While in a lot of case it could be the case, I don’t see a problem if a 21 year old woman has a goal of starting a family and taking care of children. If a 29 year old is looking for the same thing, then what’s the problem? What if both of them are avid travellers? What if both of them ar…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:46 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:40 PM

Then, by his logical we should make any actions involving decision-making illegal for young adults below 25 or whatever age OP thinks magically turns young adults into “rational” creatures.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:39 PM

Interesting take. Could also be older woman trying to eliminate young women competition? No offence to older women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:38 PM

Living at home does not somehow take away their ability to make decision. I’d argue that, on the contrary, young people staying at home have even more capabilities of making healthy relationship decision due to strong support base. It is, of course, only so if they have good relationship with their parents.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:37 PM

I am really sorry for what you are going through, but a relationship with a person your age does not magically prevent bad things from happening either.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:35 PM

Because they are incapable of making rational decisions, as brain part responsible for that magically develops once you are 25. /s And those same people don’t have a problem with the fact that a person after 18 is legally able to make practically any decisions legally-speaking. Except if they are in the US, of course…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:34 PM

Don’t you know that people under 25 have not yet developed their rational part of the brain, hence we should treat them like toddlers because they are not capable of making decisions for themselves? /s
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 01:33 PM
2

It is about experience and just life goals, I guess. I in no way mean a 20 year old man cannot have experience, everyone’s life circumstances are different. You could be a „child” (in terms of life outlook, understanding, where you are at and so on) in your 30s, that applies to both men and women. But, for me, personally, I prefer when my potential partner is on a more advanced stage than me because it eliminates a lot of worries and issues. I have always liked hanging out with older people, eve…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 12:10 PM

I am totally not going to date a 20 year old man or any man who is younger than me. Regardless if I am 20, 28 or 60. It does not change the fact that claiming 20 year olds (men or women) are incapable of making decision of whom to date, while also being okay with the fact that the same 20 year old are able to buy alcohol, go to clubs, do drugs, go to prison, rent a hotel room, buy a house and so on. This way of thinking is just ridiculous in my opinion.

Hence, by this logic I am not able to make any rational decisions because my brain is not developed. I am not able to drive, not able to choose my educational institutions, not able to get married, have kids and such. Which is, of course, bullshit. Brain development until 25 is a myth, because it is a very individual thing. While average age is 25, it may very well be 18, 20, or 28. Read about it :) Also, I like how you claim my brain at 20 years old is not fully developed, yet you state to acti…

As a woman, I genuinely do not know because I do not. I have been in a few uncomfortable situation, but it never prompted the constant, ever present fear I think you are referring to. I am not scared of every guy I pass on the street and I cannot say I am ‘wary’ of any of them. I’d say it is not so clear cut. While in most cases, both men and women need to pass some threshold of attractiveness to be considered, let’s not forget that a lot of relationships develop more gradually. Life is not Tinder. Why can’t we just come up with originally FEMALE characters if we do want something new?? Why must it be male characters turned into female? Is that not very essence of what feminists go against? Women being unable to create something of their own? To me, as a woman, it just reinstates the point that women are not good enough to make anything on their own… Make original female characters. Badass characters.

Double standards. Hypocrisy. Leaning towards radical feminism. False accusations. Blaming every single problem on patriarchy. The amount of hypocrisy feminists have in this matter baffles me. “Why didn’t you wrap it up” say the very same people screaming how no birth control is 100% effective.
