Alternate, she already has 3 kids and sees a partner now as optional. So now she can be very picky.

Ya, I'd say it's like most things in life. You face rejection enough and you learn to be detached from the result or at least learn to be more tolerant of it. It can still suck and you can sometimes find yourself attached occasionally but you've been here before. It's a familiar pain. Women might not be use to it as they aren't required to go through it. At least not to the same frequency. So it hits harder. They'd probably get tolerance to it as well if they had to.

It's awkward for the person who has it in their head as something to be ashamed about. You asked her out, she said no, no worries. Smile and act like it's all good and never happened and you will come off like the normal one. She's the one who'll feel awkward or uncomfortable, but at that point it's not on you.

The scouter would have a -1000 hit with most women, but probably add 2000 at the right cons. Pick your poison.

That last paragraph is a point that's so easy to forget. Women are picky...when it comes to strangers they don't really know. Most people from apps are essentially strangers. Even after getting to know them, it wasn't an organic meeting.

I guess if your issue is not being able to talk to anyone, talking all the time gets you out of it. Then you rehone and slow down, become more careful with it?

If you think it's bad at 29, wait until you get older. Do you like going to work? Do you like working out? Do you like keeping a shiny car? Maintenance isn't fun, but it's generally less expensive than buying something new every time it falls apart. This metaphor probably applies to relationships, too.
/r/seduction19/09/25 01:00 AM
1

I hear it's less expensive in turkey
/r/seduction27/08/25 03:06 AM

This probably falls more into relationship advice. If you're constantly trying to appease your significant other, they'll keep coming up with more. If you don't, and they actually care about you and the relationship, they will compromise because they value the relationship.

Is it possible she asked that specific question because she was trying to give her guy friends shit?
/r/seduction11/02/25 12:02 AM
2

I kind of agree. If you always have people on the back burner and never really care, eventually they'll pick up on it too and move on. If you think you have someone good, and they like you too, it makes sense to keep communication going (mirror their frequency) and if both parties are ready to commit go for it. I get where op is going, you don't want to be needy and having options helps alot, but definitely a balance required.

Can those friendships be maintained with a lower amount of effort that feels more natural/sustainable to you? As far as I know, maintaining a friendship shouldn't be exhausting.

In any case, you're a good dude for trying!
/r/seduction20/10/24 10:22 PM

But you learned from the experience, right? If someone came up to you and asked again, would you do it? Or maybe one free consult/confidence test and then charge them. Imagine you were trying to get on shape and decided to pay 100 bucks an hour to train with a physical trainer. Having money on the line, how serious would you take it vs. a free session by a random guy? Do you think the guy you tried to help try harder if he had money on the line?
/r/seduction20/10/24 10:07 PM
5

If you're able to get into relationships, then it's probably not the physical attraction part that's going wrong. They were attracted to you...that's why they agreed to be with you in the first place. Something else is happening that the type of girl you are into is losing interest or is only superficially into you. That's my guess anyway.
/r/seduction01/11/22 06:53 PM

If you feel you need a break or having dating fatigue, there is nothing wrong with slowing down. But I wouldn't advise taking an actual hiatus. There are pros and cons to when you are young or old. But like anything else, but the more you practice the better you get.

I feel like texting with someone is like reading a book, while having a phone call or talking to them in person is analogous to listening to an audiobook or watching a movie. What I mean is, when you read the texts, your mind is filling in the blanks in respect to tone and other respects which may or may not apply. Once you've spoken to the person you get a better profile of how they talk (tone, inflection etc). After meeting at least once, or speaking to them on the phone, I don't think there i…

Write it down anyway and look at it again the next day, and the next day. If after a week it still doesn't seem valuable, talk to a trusted friend about it and see if they agree. Sometimes when I see accomplishments from PAST me, I feel really proud of myself regardless of how I may have felt AT THAT TIME. Present you may think you suck, but future you will love you unconditionally. Because future you understands the shit you went through.

Do you have female friends? Talk to them about their dating experiences. If you can empathize with them and keep in mind that not all women suck/are the same and that plenty of them are good/kind people that deserve respect, that might help with some of the bitter generalizations slipping into your head. But..yeah..it's very easy...to fall into the mindset when you're frustrated..

Think about the last time a woman ended things with you in a respectful way, and just do that. "Hey, it's been great getting to know yoi/meet you. However I am not interested in going further. Wish you the best." Of course, I think you should do a call rather than a text since you've been on several dates. If she pushes for why "I'm not sure. Once the discipline of not skipping workouts sets in, I think the variety of the bodybuilding routine are going to be easier and more efficient to tackle.

Can you pivot and make them talk more about themselves and listen more/talk less? Then play off what they are talking?

He's not wrong. People with similar backgrounds often have similar upbringings which means similar gripes, childhoods, and other oddities to talk about. It makes it easier to bond than people with completely different backgrounds. It's not impossible but I think the conversation becomes more forward thinking vs talking about life up to that point.

Pretty much this. Generally shorter or "close" and you should have a chance. Unless they have a specific need for someone 6'+ (which does happen, but to hell with them then).

Maybe you start learning what kind of shit sticks to certain types of walls better? Every person is different afterall. Maybe you get quicker on your feet at coming up with stuff and better at identifying different types of personalities? Or maybe you figure out what types are most likely to be into you and you calibrate to that and filter for those increasing your chances? But I don't know anything, I'm just analyzing.

If I understand, it's like telling a joke in a way? You set up a diaglogue, which often sounds like every other conversation in the world or had an obvious expectation, and then you subvert that expectation (throw in a twist). Like your example with the eyes. Everyone has heard that line before so by changing the end to being about your eyes (but having the right facial expectation to show you're not serious) it makes it fun.

Which part? You're 5'9", you have more options than you know. Once you find them, and keep finding them, you'll realize there is a "type" that tends to be attracted to you and vice versa. That'll save time and your self esteem from wasting it on girls who aren't going to be into you. Just keep going.
/r/seduction15/04/22 03:50 AM

Always double down when lying bro. If they ask, say there was a mistake at the dmv or that your in the witness protection program for some absolutely fucked up shit. Also, why are they looking at your Id?? Mad disrespect unless you're only dating hot cops. Remember, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
/r/seduction15/04/22 03:46 AM

As a 5"4' dude, you move on to girls that don't have that problem. Sadly, in dating its about churn and metrics. Can't get attached too soon or think of them as people until you're farther into things. Your ego and self esteem will take too much damage.

His response is harsh, but he isn't wrong. It's not like all guys become of age and immediately change who they are to get with women. Plenty continue to "be themselves" and fail to find someone. Clearly being themselves isn't what is valued. Bit part of being an adult is changing to meet circumstances and to achieve goals. Unfortunately, that means you need to stop being yourself.

Indian dude here, and I definitely get random people talking to me. Sometimes I'm cool with it, sometimes not. I'm short dude so I wouldn't consider myself attractive but perhaps approachable? Could you give an example? Are you saying for one photo, word or sentence you are coming up with all 7?
/r/seduction05/04/22 02:28 PM

That's a good example. I think though it just comes down to risk vs reward. If you're trying to buy a car, house or whatever you're not going to avoid conflict just at the off chance they'll get upset. The upside is you save some money. They aren't likely going to murder you over it, that's not a rational fear. With the example you just gave, there is no upside to you telling your bosses the truth. Same thing with women and telling guys why they were rejected. No upside for them, some risk (real…

Hmm...would you apply that approach/mentality to any other aspect of life? If you did, would it still be considered reasonable?
/r/seduction05/04/22 04:46 AM

So you are saying there is a feedback loop that is dialing up the difficulty? That sounds like that would be more of a systemic issue that can't be solved on an individual basis but something inherent to modern dating.

Chris Rock is a comedian. Will and Jada are professional actors at a show in their respective industry. It is common practice for stand up comedians to roast people at their shows regardless of status. As professional actors they should expect this and not be butthurt over it. Will smacked a professional doing his job for doing his job. It's not a good precedent. He could have waited and said something and if what Chris said was bad enough, he would have gotten "cancelled". Will is a "simp" for …

Not to damper your main point (it sounds reasonable to most parts of life), but aren't girls giving away their Instagrams pretty often? I always see them referenced on dating profiles. The hard part is getting them to actually respond. A phone number had the same issue but I think it's more personal and harder to hide behind.

In my opinion, there are elements of it that are valid. Particularly tribalism, people who identify with certain ethnicities may find higher success with those groups. The overarching "feel" though is a bit self defeating though. Believing you have no chance due to whatever isn't going to help. I do think there is alot we can do to help ourselves and there is information that might guide us in the right direction. If the girls you are into are geared towards dominant dudes, maybe there is a hair…

That's interesting but, it would be good to mix it up and see what happens if you keep the personality but with a more average dude and then switch it again where you keep the good looks but make the profile essentially blank. This will give more insight into which elements has the most impact or if it really is the combo.

Everyone treats a man with no confidence like shit. Children smell weakness and will take advantage. Dogs/pets aren't going to let some guy with no backbone tell it can't shit on the Playstation. Random strangers? Definitely going to sense that insecurity. Your mother...forget it she knows..she knows. If you won't stand up for yourself, you better be sure no one else will.
