Yeah I've been following this on Instagram. Typical shit.

This is a reason I'm a radfem. It's self-preservation at the very least.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/04/22 08:43 PM

Absolutely never, and we should always remember it.

Was going to post this. There's a chance these DMs are from pick-mes, but a bigger one from men defending that Certain Billionaire and men in general, and pretending to be women to do it. Happens a lot on this site and the internet overall.

My response is always "so?"
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/04/22 01:15 AM
31

Oh my god. At least the dudes who cooked for me actually made something from scratch. 😂
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/04/22 05:48 PM
22

For real.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/04/22 05:45 PM

I would have left too. Snuck out the back or left when he went to the restroom. And I'd ask a female barista to smuggle me out. Every woman has been on a bad date like that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/04/22 05:45 PM
56

Exactly. The effort, the planning, the rapport - that's what we are actually looking for. They really do betray the way they think.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/04/22 05:43 PM
114

It's not worth the risk of having to deal with some idiot, sometimes. I would gladly buy my own sandwich or drop $50 on sushi for myself. I do it regularly. Cost isn't the only factor but it does betray how they think.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/04/22 05:42 PM

"You just want free food" Buddy I can get that by visiting my parents. They'll always make sure I am fed. What makes you think I would go on a date just for free food, and risk poor company? 🤣
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/04/22 05:38 PM
34

Girl, same. I finally unfollowed a guy friend of four years too and also am basically avoiding him, etc. He still checks my IG stories but I don't check his. I haven't blocked him yet but I may do so. As of right now, I feel great.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/04/22 09:57 PM

This is basically my mantra now too. The older I have gotten the less tolerant of this kind of bullshit I am, whether from men or even other women. Especially men, though.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/04/22 12:45 PM

Bet he will lecture women on logic and facts over feelings.

Oh God, that show.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/04/22 02:41 AM

Mostly it's the inattentiveness that bothers me, in a friendly way. By that I mean calling me a friend but then doing nothing to maintain a friendship at all. Guy is an extrovert, though - different definition of friendship, I suppose? I'm an introvert. If I call you a friend it means something. I have not had many.

Going to be a lot of single millennial women in our 50s and 60s, maybe even more than now, because of divorce and not getting married at all. So much low effort out there.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/22 08:30 PM
71

Don't engage in any activities with them. Don't do friends stuff if you don't want to be friends. Draw lines right there.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/22 04:46 PM
79

Having to unfollow and basically ignore supposed friendships hurts after years of me trying to connect better, but yeah. Just goes to show we were never really friends. Can't be friends with men anymore.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/22 01:34 PM
33

He's not oblivious at all. He got sex on his terms and wants to keep her to the side like fleshlight when he feels like it. Never have sex with men without a real, solid relationship with emotional and personal intimacy.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/22 12:16 AM
43

I am struggling personally with this because I don't think I am totally normal (I have difficulty making connections generally) but I also don't think my past relationships and issues in dating were all my fault or something. Often it was something to do with him, very specifically, and FDS has shown me my intuition was correct.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/22 12:08 AM
49

Yep. In my 30s and feel like I wasted my damn time.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/22 12:06 AM

There are good men out there but few, and he isn't one of them. 🤢

See, this is what an actual gold medal participation trophy looks like. Literal easy mode shit.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/22 11:44 PM
116

You are right and I hate it. Even people who have called me a friend have blown me off repeatedly. I have just unfollowed and deleted them from my online life if that's how they want to be.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/22 02:47 AM
101

It's worse. 2009, 2010 or so was going a bit downhill but you could still meet decent men that didn't get immediately gross with you a few sentences in. Even a few dates. Now? No.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/22 02:46 AM

Wait until they find out how muscular and strong women of the (recent) past were, especially working class. Women did so much manual labor, every single day. They did more labor than your average flabby male today does, that's for sure. Anyway they're just mad that women are running and taking care of ourselves for us. I go to the gym and lift weights for ME, Kyle.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/22 02:43 AM
42

If he wanted to, he would! 👏🏻 I seem to have this issue as well. Either all they ever want to do is text and message me (and make no plans or effort to see me, even if I hint at it), OR it's dead silent.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/22 12:04 AM
21

If a guy has a female best friend I am immediately suspicious.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/03/22 08:39 PM
35

Haha, same.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/03/22 11:41 PM

I haven't found anyone worth it so yeah.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/03/22 11:00 PM

Also you'll notice males in many, many animal species are brilliantly colored or have interesting feather or fur displays. They dance and do all sorts of things to win a female's favor. This implies to me that the female counterparts are more visual in selection.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/03/22 01:27 PM

Good hygiene is the barest minimum. ALSO - if you have the money or access to free clinics, get your yearly exams, dudes. That means getting your teeth cleaned and so on. 🙄 literally take care of yourself. I am not doing it for you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/03/22 02:15 AM

Liberal feminists would have us believe Only Fans is empowering. It's just more capitalistic exploitation of women. Same old story. I am happy to call myself more and more of a radfem the longer I am alive in this world.

Sis. Honey. Please leave his ass.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/03/22 09:56 PM

Holy shit, you're right.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/03/22 01:43 AM

They walk away when they cheat though. I once met a guy last year who said he was divorced, and was my age (33). So then a bit later he says he's polyamorous. My Red Alert sirens were going off. I would head to a casino on the bet that he cheated on his wife.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/03/22 05:04 PM

Nope.

It's nice to read success stories here. Congratulations!

Me, last night having dinner with my parents: "men are just the worst." Dad: "yep." I was complaining about a guy having the audacity to ignore me while he's in the other room of the bar, chatting with someone else. Never mind that I had been there an hour, let him know I was there in a friendly way, and had known this dude for 4 years. Fuck's sake. Even a simple "hey I'm talking to a date at the moment, can I text you back later?" would have been good. Or, if she's a friend, coming by physicall…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/03/22 01:37 AM

I am trying.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/03/22 02:42 AM
4

Glad to know someone else had the same gut reaction to that bullshit. Gross.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/03/22 02:41 AM

Since he routinely has found ways to keep ignoring me except when it suits him, I have unfollowed him and I will act like he no longer exists.

I love Breaking Bad but the number of men who legitimately thought Walt was a hero and Skykar was the evil wife just absolutely floored me. It shouldn't have, but it did, and I haven't looked at men who watch any shows the same way since. My god. Even the show runners were explicit, both in their narrative telling and in interviews, that Walt is a villain.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 10:00 PM
13

Yep, I loved female villains because they tended to go against patriarchal norms.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 09:55 PM

Very true. Love a lot of things like the Elder Scrolls, etc. (I see that username... lol). But it's not the cornerstone of my personality and I don't spend ridiculous amounts of money on media things, either. Same kind of guys will spend hundreds every month on comics, Warhammer figurines, etc., and are wondering why women won't date them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 09:53 PM
6

Why, though, is puzzling to me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/03/22 09:48 PM

Imagine being married to this nitwit and then be pregnant for 9 months, nearly die in childbirth, and he acts like this?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/03/22 06:41 PM
34

Girl is a pick-me - abandons everything and everyone for a dude. 2. It's gross but the guy is honest here and he's right.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/03/22 01:09 AM
81

If a guy thinks I'm just some random woman then I really don't want to be on a date with him anyway. 🤷🏼‍♀️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/03/22 10:22 PM
94

Well, it was up to me when I left.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/03/22 02:06 AM

Imagine marrying someone who is supposed to love and cherish you but instead you are terrified of him and miserable. Being alone is so vastly superior.

I like wearing eye makeup because I like eyeshadow. It is fun for me. But I would love to get my skin looking better to ditch the concealer altogether. Working on it!

The more I pay attention to them and give them my time when they show me that they won't return it in full, the more I lose. So I am withdrawing it, in real life and in social media.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/03/22 02:32 AM

Ignoring them is what they hate. 💅🏻
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/03/22 11:21 PM

I think I intimidate female colleagues too. 😅

What a fucking piece of shit. Why be attached to a man like that? God, she needs to free herself.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/03/22 09:13 PM

I like it and have always enjoyed the show but I see its flaws and don't consider liking it a personality trait. Unfortunately some do.

HVM are very much not on online dating, that much is apparent to me, after years (more than a decade) of using it off and on. In fact, it's gotten worse. I have turned to it when I am lonely. It makes me feel worse, every time. Happily I have not gone back since 2020. That was a month of desperation. Over it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/22 01:11 AM
38

I have felt really sad and lonely lately, but it's because I don't love myself enough and I don't have enough fulfillment in other things. A romantic partner may or may not help but it will always start with me to be responsible for my own happiness. This is a good reminder. Thanks.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/22 01:07 AM

I say "if they wanted to, they would" all the time. Applies to so many things.

As a lifelong gamer, I can safely say that I wouldn't date 9/10 gamer men. The 1/10 have other passions and aren't huge gamers, it's just a thing they do here and there but doesn't rule their lives like most gamer dudes. Beware. Gamers are often low value, low effort, abusive, etc.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/22 10:56 PM

Short answer: none. If I picked one I'd say Hinge, but still full of nonsense.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/22 10:51 PM

I find most men to be boring. 🤷🏼‍♀️
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/22 10:49 PM

They made me feel depressed whenever I used them. No more. Haven't touched them since summer 2020 and I never will again.

She's so right.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/22 09:30 PM

Exactly. She doesn't know him and he doesn't know her. It is a risky act.

Wow, so rational!

Your personality and attitude are what turns me off, dude.

Baldness is caused by too much testosterone or follicle sensitivity to free testosterone, DHT. Both men and women can be affected, although men more severely.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/02/22 09:15 PM

Online dating is horrible and you are not alone in feeling this way!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/02/22 03:21 PM

Yeah that is violence.

I agree.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/02/22 02:37 AM

Yeah, my first thought was that it's degrading, gross, and uncomfortable. My second was that she put up with a full 45 minutes of that? And for what????
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/02/22 02:29 AM

No man is worth doing this for. Never do this.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/02/22 08:52 PM

They always do that and have for thousands of years.

That's what I do, more or less.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/02/22 09:02 PM
17

I kind of want a baby, but I also kind of don't for all the reasons you listed. I am single, 33, don't make a ton of money. I take medications that I would have to quit for a pregnancy. Yeah.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/02/22 12:34 PM
41

What does she see in him? Lol.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/01/22 08:49 PM

Those guys you mentioned are what I get. This was my ex. I am repulsed by it now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/01/22 05:25 PM

I find it so interesting that they see spending money on dinners as transactions that we expect from them, but don't see how they have also come to expect sex early on as a transaction. Which, men do see sex as transactional, often. That's why they pay for it. So if he wants to pay money for sex, he can go get a prostitute, not a girlfriend.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/01/22 02:59 AM
76

I wouldn't call it a tradition.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/01/22 11:17 PM

Holy shit, you're right. Dwight was the one who became a better person.

Yeah. I know. 😔
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/01/22 02:54 AM

I am glad that it was mentioned what stress does to women - chronic illness, autoimmune disorders, and worse. Not to mention the psychiatric problems that will arise from being tethered to a man like this.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/01/22 03:23 PM
76

Radfems were always right.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/01/22 10:05 PM

I basically have to be on antidepressants constantly so this really resonated with me and my lack of success with men, my sometimes low interest and desire, etc. I am glad you not only are doing better but you removed that gross person from your life - self-respect is a huge component for anyone, let alone someone who had struggled with mental health problems. I am trying to learn it more and more every day.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/01/22 01:55 AM
59

This absolutely disgusts me but I hope Indian women start rejecting all of it, now. They need FDS.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/01/22 10:52 PM
85

So many Millennial males are exactly like this and I can't seem to find one who isn't in my 30s because those who aren't are already taken. It sucks.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/01/22 02:30 AM
26

I am more assertive than I thought I was!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/01/22 11:15 AM

I hope his money is worth it. So gross.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/01/22 09:04 PM
7

It's most definitely entitlement.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/01/22 03:43 PM
10

As an anxiety disorder sufferer, now I know I am going to die if I go to the emergency room. "It's just a panic attack!" LOL. We do have heart issues in my family too so it is a possibility.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/01/22 03:42 PM
10

I am the same way!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/01/22 03:38 PM
41

So that's what I've been doing as a single gal. And I didn'teven know it. 🤣 that said, I do think it would be good for me to have a great partner. I desperately want companionship of some kind. But I do not want to accept low value nonsense either.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/01/22 02:21 PM
11

I was going to say this too. Lol. I have done it for myself all the time and never had an issue, and I've been on antidepressants for my anxiety disorder since I was 17. I get that some people are more affected than others and some medications can cause this side effect in people, but it's not a fact that it will.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/12/21 11:58 PM
14

Yep. Anything that has a genuine effect for good, will get banned first. That includes us and Antiwork and other subs. Watch.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 04:05 AM
22

That one was amusing, yes. I had a genuine chuckle because someone had the chance to screenshot it too. Saw it on Instagram, actually, so it made rounds.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 04:04 AM
18

I saw that. When Tumblr did it they lost all the porn, which is super funny to me now. But it could also mean that any group of people who go against the grain, as it were, shall be banned. Including a famous subreddit that made the news concerning a certain company trying to fire their workers to get around the strike.... They don't want us upsetting their status quo. They'll ban leftist spaces, actual feminist spaces, whatever. We need to prepare for that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 01:09 AM
82

I think my favorite version of this is when they start with the "as a -" and then clearly forgot to switch accounts. Lololol.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 01:05 AM
30

Yep. That's the one.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 12:48 AM
21

This is a bit like decrying concentration camps and the atrocities there, but being unwilling to say that the Nazis in charge and running every aspect of it actually caused them. Makes no sense yet that's exactly what they do.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 12:46 AM
105

And they must be labeled and called out as such every time. Many who have found FDS were pick-mes with internalized misogyny, because we don't live a vacuum and it's pressed into us. We all have to unlearn it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 12:44 AM
28

Literally the world in a nutshell.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 12:41 AM

I hope she is absolutely thriving.

Chances are a lot of the "women" replying were actually men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/21 12:37 AM
196

I know what you mean. Right before she turned 18 all these fucking creeps were coming out of the woodwork to lust after her. And she's spot-on about porn. It's a disgrace.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/12/21 02:49 AM
115

That's exactly what I am talking about. You can call out the crimes of child porn and torture porn or whatever, but god forbid you call out the person or group that is committing the crime. It's like they want us to believe that crimes just happen out of nowhere and that there's no criminal person doing them. Amazing. So when we call them out, suddenly we are hateful. And every data point we have on systemic misogyny, inequality, men's violence against women and girls, backs up our handbook and …

I love my cat so much. 😄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/12/21 07:32 PM

You absolutely nailed it. We have only put up with shit for so long because we were raised to and made dependent.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/12/21 07:26 PM
73

It's easier to denounce and degrade others than it is to actually accept criticism and do introspection on that. Requires effort - though, if people did it, it would pay off and we would all be happier. It's a huge problem in people the world over. Why take accountability when you can blame others?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/12/21 01:37 AM
113

Sounds about right. Their response to criticism is always that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/12/21 01:16 AM

It's so weird how men don't want to see that same "potential" in women. 🙄

I have found that the richer you are, the more likely you are to have impaired or nonexistent empathy. At any rate, what is she getting out of this? He is ignorant at best and selfish at worst, he doesn't clearly care about her.

That wouldn't surprise me. We already know Google and Facebook are. The downfall of YouTube was when they were bought by Google. Instagram is owned by Facebook. I don't trust Reddit either. In fact I do not trust any of these companies. It's all an argument for never going online to any of these sites, and using a traditional VPN. I use Tor for that on my desktop. It's slower but it does the job.

I don't like getting older either but then again, no one does. I'm definitely not going to hang out with teenagers in order to make myself feel younger. I want to hang with my fellow 30-something millennials because they are my people and we are all in it together. That's a huge reason I don't have a Tiktok account. Seems like a waste of time, it skews younger than me, and like most social media it's bad for mental health and spreads nonsense. (Reddit is pretty bad too in general, just in a diff…

My ex's cat would hiss and bat and me, every single time I was over. Every time. I should have taken the hint and left sooner. Also his place was a total pigsty and he was pretty low value... She may have been trying to do me a favor by attempting to scare me off. My own cat did not do that to him, but neither did he warm up and act affectionate to my ex, either. But I don't really take this as a strike because my cat is somewhat indifferent to everyone but me. He's my buddy.

Some of them will turn this into translatable violence. Some already have, usually in mass shootings and rape. But that doesn't mean we cower to that way of thinking. I always say, "you don't need a girlfiend, you need therapy, and I am not your therapist". Preach it, sis.

Men are always harping about the "consequences" of sex when it comes to abortion, as if we just impregnate ourselves. Alright, then - no sex with them. That's the consequence. 🙂

Don't "fuck" men. Do not give it to them, at all, until there is a huge amount of commitment. And I mean huge - relationship status, money, a ring,, marriage, all of it. They have not shown they deserve it otherwise. Do not get into relationships with men that openly are against your self-autonomy. If I find out a guy is "pro-life", he is not going to get my attention, much less sex from me. No. Enough is enough, sis. He won't respect you. He doesn't already.

That's because peaceful protest doesn't actually work. I mean it. You have to threaten them with violence or threaten their money (mass strikes, etc). Violence and greed is all these people understand. Voting is pointless here, ultimately.

It's more about the traits exhibited by the individual in question, but yes, one is more genetic and the other is genetic and environmental. So you're right that psychopaths are typically born that way. It's used interchangeably (I am guilty of this) but sociopaths also be born that way to a point. Correct. Look at working-class Elon Musk stans. He's not a genius, he's not rich because he earned it, and he actively seeks to undo any scraps the rest of us get while he grows richer. But they eat it up because they understand nothing about class dynamics and how capitalism actually works, and they believe themselves to be temporarily poor millionaires.

I would argue if they are sociopaths they were definitely born that way, generally speaking, and you can't change them. No amount of good nurturing would do that. But most boys are not and they are subjected to misogyny and toxic masculinity the same way small children aren't racist until they are taught to be. So much is taught to people in childhood and adolescence and we spend our adult years trying to undo the damage, or live the damage in denial.

My thing with attractiveness is this: I actually tend to like unconventionally attractive men, maybe even men most women would look over. But - he has to demonstrate that he puts in effort in his appearance and health. If he eats like trash and it makes him look sick or very overweight, I am turned off. If he acts like an asshole, I am turned off. If he dresses like a total hobo (sorry hobos) but he doesn't have to? Turned off. I like jeans and t-shirts too, it doesn't have to be dress shirts. I…

I very much recommend people go to actual mental health professionals on YouTube rather than random people not actually qualified to give information. So, some good sources are Dr. Tracey Marks, Emma McAdam (Therapy In A Nutshell), Kati Morton, etc. Those three I watch pretty often.

The thing about the apps is that it's harder to gauge nearly everything that would attract or dispel you from someone. It takes the human out of the equation. It causes you to miss certain types of behaviors because you cannot see them and have literally never met the person. It can also cause you to write off someone because they didn't fit some checklist, and they may have been great for you. It's entirely like shopping and it's so robotic and transactional. I hate it. I also hate how shallow,…

I had to stop in my tracks this summer with a guy I really liked and clicked with because he told me he was polyamorous and had gotten divorced because he felt he couldn't just be with one person. (We are both 33 so I assume he either hadn't been married long or he got married early.) I am proud to say that I set my boundaries and did not proceed or try to rationalize going forward. I need commitment to me and me only. I would rather be alone than a side piece. But I was honestly very sad. It's …

If a guy acts super aloof with me I don't necessarily want to chase him. He's either not interested, or being an asshole. What really turns me on is effort in a man I'm interested in. Effort is everything. It doesn't mean he needs to be around me 24/7. It means that he makes our interactions count as much as he can, even if he's a fellow introvert like me.

Usually something job-related, or medical school, or whatever. Anything intensive. Maybe they were ill for a period of time. Maybe they were laid off at work and needed to find a way back. Pretty much. I do think that pointing out how much feminism helps men is a mistake to a degree, because so many men just literally do not care on a substantive level. They're performing a cost-benefit analysis in their heads and morality be damned - if they can get more out of oppression, they will do that no matter how you argue it's wrong and things could be better for everyone.

Whew. Same here. 33, never thought I'd be totally single and basically celibate, but it's better this way. I have dated some trash in the past and I'd rather be single and not having sex a lot than spend another second in those relationships or dates. I could have a lot of casual sex. I don't want to because it's meaningless and not beneficial to me. Plus it's risky as hell.

You know, now that I think about it, I broke up with both of my exes and I absolutely don't regret it. But at least one of them might have this "one who got away" mentality with me. I think what a lot of them don't get is that we know that "not all men" are happily sexist, at least consciously, but they were raised an reinforced in a society and world of patriarchal norms and behaviors and they will not only unconsciously do them if they don't try to learn about it, but they also benefit from perpetuating the problems. I find it easier to navigate life by assuming every man I encounter is sexist until proven otherwise. I do not believe they should get the benefit of the doubt. Liberal feminism has made it so that we are told that men are better than they used to be, yet all evidence shows us it's not actually true. Radfem is the way and always has been. I mean I know some are like that. I don't think they're all like that. I certainly don't think they are worse as people than cops or military. I have dated far worse people who were "nerds" with little to no creative spark, i.e. guys that only consume art and make none themselves, and tend to be into media that display the worst of their desires.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/21 07:43 PM

Military or police. Religious by profession or as a layperson. Definitely the former is a huge red flag though. Spiritual is fine. Religious, no. I honestly love creative men - singers, guitarists, drawers/painters, etc. I can't help it. I do realize that there is a segment of flaky, LVM here but I'd rather risk that with these dudes than straight up abusive, violent guys in the first two categories. The creative types are also less likely to be sociopaths.

The thing is, we're all the same age (33). I very naïvely thought he would be better about it than say, a 60 year-old. Nope. Because as we all know, these dudes are products of their fathers and a society that still tells men not to do any housework or childrearing. Cleaning ads on TV still show the wife/mother cleaning up the messes of the husband/father and children. More often than not, when I see these ads, women are featured cleaning, and cleaning up after others, not their own messes.

It goes to show that being famous, being beautiful, and coming from a family with money doesn't save you from toxic relationships and people. If anything they can actually amplify that. She does have more resources to get help and get out than us, though. I hope she does.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/21 02:21 AM

Not anymore. Fuck that shit.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/21 08:27 PM

My experiences certainly back this up. The second they realized I wasn't going to give them what they wanted, they were out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/21 08:27 PM

Decent men who are sick with an illness don't propose to get their caregiver - if anything they would be thinking of the possible burden they could be for the women they love.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/21 08:24 PM

I actually genuinely feel bad for her. No amount of money is going to fix any of this.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/21 08:21 PM

Same.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/21 08:15 PM

Oh, they know.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 11:05 PM

Insert the "congratulations, you played yourself" meme. 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 11:04 PM

What's telling is that these guys see us say this and specify which men we don't want, and they think we're talking about all men doing that shitty stuff, and then when we raise legitimate concerns about the behavior of said men they immediately take to the internet and scream "not all men!!!" They know what they mean. They know what we mean.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 10:58 PM

We are literally trying to survive in a world that despises and abuses us.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 10:54 PM

Do not, under any circumstances, fall for this fake empathy. He is trying to manipulate you. Love your life.

Both of my exes were quite immature in retrospect and neither good looking. One was straight up a LVM. Go for it, sis. ✌🏻
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 10:21 PM
24

Unfortunately they all seem to be fuckboys regardless of age so I'm going with a younger dude who is more willing to work himself than someone older who thinks I'm going to do it for him.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 10:17 PM
25

I have only truly had relationships with older men (2 years and 8 years apart from me) and now I am ready to find that in younger men. As long as they are at least out of college I am down. (I'm 33.)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 08:49 PM
62

That's why I ended this with my ex. He traveled to see me only twice, to meet me and my family, and every time he bailed the second he could. I had been traveling to him and meeting his mom and step-dad for months. months. Moving away from the city we lived in so I could take more classes and get a new job (in my late 20s no less) was actually the right decision here because it allowed me to get the job I currently have at 33 and I am free from that man's lazy nonsense.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 08:37 PM

Good fucking god. Get a divorce and free yourself, sis. This is embarrassing.

Jesus christ. Google is so free and easy, just like fucking Pornhub is. 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/10/21 12:09 AM

Sometimes you just need to call these dudes out, then block and delete. In fact delete the whole app. Nothing but LVM and NVM.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/09/21 01:26 PM
25

You have to call them out. Silence is acceptance and they have gotten away with this shit for far too long. And call them out in front of other women too if you can. The more women are aware of the behavior the better.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/09/21 01:11 PM

You know, that's a point - young men are always problems. Young women and children are not. 🤔

A year I was with my last boyfriend, and he barely acted like I was more than a roommate - and we didn't even live together. Never again. I was a late bloomer and accepted weak, low-effort behavior and now in my 30s I will not. I've been single the last 5 years and I haven't lost a thing from it, only gains.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/09/21 01:23 AM

This is just embarrassing. I have second-hand embarrassment for her.

I know that as the oldest daughter I will be taking care of my parents and their issues and my younger brother and autistic sister will not. I saw it happen with my mother, and then my aunts on my father's side. Adult and adolescent daughters are disproportionately assigned caregiver roles to practically everyone, especially elderly parents. Why the actual hell would I want to take care of a man-baby, any children, clean and cook and work a full-time job? For what?? Fuck that. My cat and I are f…

It's been said (and shown in studies) that men getting married have more to gain, but that's not true for women. And we've seen it all along and it got worse in the pandemic. I saw it with my own eyes when I visited a friend last week. Her work-at-home husband smokes weed constantly, complains about her asking him to fix a rug he messed up, hides in his gross office in the basement while she keeps the house clean, and she's a teacher in the Chicago public school system busting her ass and comes …
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/09/21 11:45 PM

I have noticed this in language a lot. We are referred to girls or even worse "feeeeeeemales". I see it on Instagram all the time and it makes me ill.

We can help with that by introducing more women to FDS.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/09/21 05:16 PM

Preach. 🙌🏻 To me, "Not All Men" has the same energy as "All Lives Matter" - a negative one meant to silence the voices of those being harmed. It's a distraction as well. Enough is enough.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/21 03:41 PM

Reddit app is acting up lately. Not sure what the issue is. I get connection errors and occasionally the "cannot view community" error but then I reload a few times and it works. Irritated the last few days about everyone and everything. I am not a bastion of positivity right now. 😔
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/21 12:14 PM
11

Yep. The thing is, it was unscheduled and I wasn't notified. I'm not even sure if there was a knock! Another reason I hate renting - someone always has a key to your place and usually it's a man.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/03/21 09:32 PM

Men look at women like they want to consume them. It always freaks me out when a man looks at me that way. Gross and terrifying. I had a date like this and let me tell you it did not work out.

When I was 24 a maintenance man walked into my apartment with no notice. I was in the shower. He was deeply embarrassed (or looked that way) and I was horrified. Worst place I ever lived and I was glad to move. My god.

America has immense police funding and that does fuck-all for stopping crime.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/03/21 12:17 AM

Men are the common denominator either way so I don't get why they think this is a good argument. Men attack women in masses and also attack other men, so what does that say about these men?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/03/21 12:15 AM

Another woman is dead and somehow FDS is a problem? Fuck's sake.

I don't either.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/03/21 02:28 PM

I bet it's actually worse than this. It definitely is if you include harassment.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/03/21 01:21 PM

Begging for sex, pathetic. Good on you for getting away from that scumbag.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/03/21 03:07 PM

I wasn't sure if it was a hijab or not because I know there are several kinds, and I'm not Muslim. Forgive my ignorance. But yeah, whether you wear a headscarf and jeans or are wearing long, black robes and only the eyes are showing, you'll get harassed. I have been harassed in exercise clothes, and harassed in jeans and a hooded sweatshirt. I've been harassed with makeup and without. It doesn't even matter. 🙄 Wear whatever you want, sister.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/03/21 04:42 PM
34

Women in full Muslim attire (niqab I think???) get harassed. It was never the clothes.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/21 10:46 PM
151

The things I hate most: "Porn-ready" go fuck yourself. Comparing women to cars constantly.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/21 09:14 PM
50

The problem is that women are harassed no matter what we wear. This has been documented over and over again. I personally was harassed as a teen in jeans and t-shirts.

Holy shit. You're right.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/21 08:58 PM

That last part is the key though. We have to run it. Otherwise it devolves into patriarchal nonsense like most of the structured religions have pushed.

His harem? Gross.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/21 08:49 PM

Also, even if you're fine with it being "sex work", not all work is good and positive. Our culture values "work" so much more than it does humans.

There is one like this at my favorite craft beer bar. It was honestly such a relief when I first saw it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/21 05:42 PM
8

At one of my favorite bars there's a note in the women's bathroom with instructions of how to alert the bartender that you're feeling unsafe with a man (or whomever) in such a way that gives you an escape without being too obvious. It also gets another person involved so there is less likely to be retaliation or a "scene".
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/03/21 05:41 PM
256

But apparently FDS is the problem on this site. 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/03/21 01:23 PM
23

Already starting. I don't think I'll ever get married because I don't think I'll meet a HVM.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/03/21 03:26 AM

This is spot-on. Yes. I don't have a lot to add that hasn't already been mentioned here.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/03/21 03:24 AM

Thoughts are never controlled in the sense that you cannot just will thoughts away that you aren't conscious of making. It's something that you realize in meditation. But when conscious of your thinking you can willfully make thoughts centered around your own health and well-being. Eventually the need to think of him at all withers away.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/03/21 03:03 PM
5

👏🏻 I think you know already what to do. Solidarity, sis.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/03/21 01:20 PM
7

Fellow INFJ! I have found that at some point I just do not think of them much at all, like a worn out rag to be discarded. You have better thoughts to have, better things to do, and the time that passes makes it easier to drop him like that rag. Forgive yourself first, and you won't grasp so tightly to the memories of what he did.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/03/21 01:17 PM
3

Don't respond back for a bit. See if he asks you for it. If he doesn't, he wasn't going to ask anyway. Men on these apps either ask very soon after hitting it off OR they are using you to get their fill of feminine energy with no intention of going further and asking you on a date. That's called "breadcrumbing" - crumbs of conversation to lead you down a path to nowhere.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/03/21 01:13 PM
8

I don't go on them anymore. I never learned anything useful anyway.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/03/21 02:10 AM

Gay men can be very misogynistic.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/03/21 01:56 AM

Men posting their L's online, quite literally. This is shameful.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/03/21 09:22 PM

I think that's part of it. We are in the right and they know it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/03/21 01:22 PM
15

For the love of Isis! The goddess, of course. 😅 You're so right though. Many men don't think of women's pleasure at all. Don't waste a second on his if he doesn't think of yours.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 11:14 PM
40

I always found it attractive if a man said he liked to cook and could actually show skills. Unfortunately the second part was rare. My ex never cooked for me, only got me fast food or whatever. The only cooking we did was actually his mother's work when I went to visit. 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 11:00 PM

People (particularly Reddit men) are threatened by this subs existence, yet don't raise too much of a fuss about literal incel subs that promote violence. Imagine us just not wanting to have anything to do with such men, and yet we're the problem? Just patriarchy things.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 10:57 PM

Men have been having deadly mood swings since the dawn of humanity. 🙄 Tired of them calling us "emotional".
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 08:26 PM

Mostly container flowers and herbs because I have an apartment and no yard. But it's fun and it's a great space. 🙂
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 05:42 PM

Hell yes! Hobbies are fulfilling. I like to read and when in season, garden. And I want to do more DIY furniture for my apartment. Show pics of your finished products if you want to.

I think you really described why I hate it so much. Thanks.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 02:54 PM

Oh girlfriend I feel you. I'm pretty jaded at this point though.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 01:36 AM
3

If he is serious, he is making himself the victim of the situation because we "made him feel bad". If not, it's entirely a way to paint us as evil anyway because we are angry about misogyny and dare to point out the perpetrators. My guess is the second because my cynical side wins.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/03/21 01:13 AM
1

Prudence just committed a murder here. Also, it's a nonzero chance that she's not stupid, she just has different interests that aren't his, and he thinks he's better than her because he loves those interests of his, and "shouldn't everyone"? He is a vain narcissist and she could do so much better.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/03/21 10:47 PM

We are also mammals so you totally can do some comparisons.

Yeah, I feel the same way.

Bees will sometimes toss out drones from the hive before winter because they do nothing but take up resources when they aren't mating. I am convinced that patriarchy is terrified of this concept.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 01:41 AM

He does not give a single fuck about her. At all. If she can, abort. For real. And get the hell away from him.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 01:37 AM

If you don't have a sexual relationship, how did you get your daughter? 🤔
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 01:35 AM

I mean, I do think the good ones are largely taken, but so are bad ones. Like this dude.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 01:25 AM

I would do some digging and send it to his wife. Look out for your fellow women, ladies. Also those children. And the dog.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 01:23 AM
9

If you find yourself consistently feeling a cluster of these in a relationship, it's not good for you. Key word is consistent. Everyone can feel one of these in a given time or situation, but if these are the dominant feelings you have on a daily basis, it's bad for you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 01:22 AM
6

I mean, I'd either have reported and blocked or told him to go fuck himself and why and then proceed to block him. Depends on my mood that day. Getting him reported is probably best because if he can get banned, that's one less platform for him to be a harassing creep to women.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 01:02 AM
59

You know, you're right. The models are the one who usually get dunked on as vapid when their cheater partners stray. 😑
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/02/21 05:56 PM
17

I saw this and was so grossed out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/02/21 04:14 PM

Given how many great women we see get cheated on, I'd say this holds up. Men will cheat on their supermodel wives so it's not the looks, clearly.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/02/21 04:00 PM
28

Yep. My ex was like that. I ended it. He wasn't a bad person but he had of low value qualities that affected the both of us. I got tired of it.

Not really, but I try. :)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/02/21 12:58 AM

I hate to say it but he probably wanted more than friendship with you and if you're willing to shut down the possibility of more, he is wiling to give up the friendship.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/02/21 12:41 AM

I firmly believe we have to keep trying to reach other women and hold women up as a whole. Never quit trying to help people.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/02/21 10:32 PM

Age gaps in this case are less than ideal because you are at very different mental stages in life. There's nothing wrong with being attracted to adults but acting on this may be a different matter.

Welcome! 🙌🏻
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/02/21 10:24 PM

Patriarchy. Lots of men on Reddit, ergo, misogynistic attitudes get more of a pass.

It's both, and they are very threatened by us. You don't see us threatening violence or - we are deciding we want to only pursue quality men or swear them off altogether and focus on ourselves. This is threatening to them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/21 12:54 AM

I'm 32, going on 33, and I have given up dating until a HVM comes my way. If I decide to have a child, I'll use a sperm bank. Otherwise, I am not going to be anxious about it anymore.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/21 12:06 AM

If a dude tells me he wants anal, he can bend over. If he tells me he wants oral, I'll tell him to kneel. I will not be made to do what I don't want to do, especially by a man who won't reciprocate what he thinks is pleasurable.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/02/21 02:25 AM

I think I want to but I'm straight. 😔

All those men and so many are absolute duds. Shameful.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/21 10:02 PM

It's a construct meant to control people, primarily women. I don't even think about it. What do people "lose", exactly?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/21 07:22 PM

I am definitely not doing it again, I can tel you that much.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/21 07:21 PM

They were also profound explorers and traders. There was a lot less pillaging than people think. These dudes, though, just like to live on stolen valor. Every guy seems to need to see themselves as a direct result of the worst part of their ancestors, no matter where they are from. You know what? Let's uphold our foremothers in every culture for carrying our dumb species through. Women are the reason any of us are here, period.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/21 07:16 PM
43

I hesitate to call Legally Blonde a breakup movie, but it kind of is, because she dumps her LVM and levels up and gets a HVM in doing so. Not that she needed a HVM at all, but he was the bonus at the end, I think. The most important part is her journey and getting rid of the trash holding her down, and also, she uplifts other women. So yeah. Elle Woods forever.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/21 07:10 PM
54

Good on you for shutting it down. Funny he said that you could have ignored his sex comments - why ask then? Also, men don't like being ignored, as we have seen over and over again on the news. OLD is just one of those things that is entirely inorganic. We need to ditch it en mass.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/21 07:05 PM

I find most men unattractive, yet I am heterosexual. 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/02/21 12:26 AM

It never ceases to amaze me how men really have no idea how a woman might feel with men harassing us and how many dates are not necessarily better than none. Like obviously it's not that great for us or we would accept dates from any man that breathes. Yet, we do not. Gee, I wonder why? Just no self-awareness from these men.

I know him in real life, he follows me on Twitter, but never likes my tweets or anything even though I've known him for three years and he considered me a "friend". 🤨 if you are going to retweet the original tweet to avoid retweeting from me, why follow me? Unless it's for show or to get your daily fill of feminine energy.

I am the same way. I have played on and off since I was a kid as a way to unwind when I wasn't doing other things. I like to play, but I do not feel like I need to. I have other things I can do, like read a book or go for a walk.

Deleted them last year, for good. Never going back no matter how lonely I get. I won't find the answer to it there.

I have always had a female therapist, just like I will only go to a female gynecologist. I would suggest avoiding him, or, if you're feeling bold and not tired of the world, challenge him on his crap. Or alert others to it.

Damn, I need to read Lundy Bancroft. Good job. I am going to do this on every guy I potentially date from now on.

Bet men don't think it's their duty to go down on women though. 🙄 Good for her. You have to start putting your foot down and kick them out, end things. Be willing to get rid of them.

Queen behavior is not bashing the girl (who may not have known) and only focusing on her lying, cheating ass of a boyfriend. Queen behavior isn't denigrating other women over the fault of a man. Do better.

That's what I thought. I would guess they didn't like my terminology, but you know what? Everything in that post told me what he was like. The fact that she posted it in there told me. I made a judgment call and I'm not sorry about it. He doesn't sound like a good person and I am not afraid to say he is low value as a man. What kind of man says that to a person? A low value one.

The thing that really made me leave is that I called a guy (who told his girlfriend "I love you" as a cruel joke after not responding at all when she said it to him in earnest) low-value. My comment was removed because it was "FDS". 🙄 Edit - someone marked me from this post as "male". Not sure why.🤨 must have been a phrase.

Facebook was literally started because Mark Zuckerberg was posting pictures online of the women at Harvard for the men to rate. I have no regard for their opinions on my looks whatsoever. If I wear makeup or look cute it's for ME.

Women can't have standards or they won't get with so many men out there. And if men can't get women to do free work and be a sex object, they whine about it. That's what it is.

Among other reasons, this was one that finally made me decide to end things with my ex. I kept telling him to get help and he kept acting like a child. I have struggled with anxiety and depression myself, so know all about therapy, meds, psychiatrists, etc. He just flatly didn't want to improve himself or his situation. I didn't break up with him just for that, there were other reasons, but it didn't help.

If the male gaze is dangerous, it is because men are dangerous. Even the ones you love can be dangerous. Most women who are killed by men are killed by family members or domestic partners rather than strangers.

Highly suggest people just get divorced now. 😅 But I yes, I do know why this tactic was used - there were no other means of escape. Even now divorce is frowned upon in many places and girls are married off against their wills. And many more women are stuck in abusive relationships that may not have started that way. Get a divorce or separation. Don't wait. Violence should not be tolerated, because it will happen again.

Ah, to feel like I'm some sort of prize to win and at the same time see my fellow women of another ethnicity be treated as lesser too, just in a different way. We're all just trophies to them, no matter the "tier". Vile. 🙄

It may be easy to argue that motherhood is 'empowering' from a sheltered, middle-class, white, western, married perspective, especially if your goal has always been to have a child and your career isn't very important to you. It's not even empowering even then. How many women in these cases actually wanted children, actually enjoy being married to men? There's a reason women were seeking out Prozac and whatnot the second it hit the market.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/02/21 01:29 PM

If mothers weren't treated like garbage in most societies including ours, we would view it much more in an empowering way. We are life-giving. We can sustain within us and outside of us. But we are rarely helped or rewarded for our efforts. If you have children, have a support network and do it for YOU, not a man. In the days of our ancestors we did not expect women to single-handedly raise their child, it was a group/tribal effort spanning generations.

I am thinking that if, by the end of my 30s if I haven't found a HVM, I will just have a child on my own. I am going on 33 so it looks like that or the single cat lady life is waiting for me, and perhaps that's best, anyway!

Even better, lose OLD altogether and free yourself. It's a landmine field of LVM and NVM and you deserve better than to feel like a commodity.

Everything in this post was my experience. I will never go back to OLD, even when I feel lonely at 2am. Never again. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Edit - oh, and the last guy I talked to on OLD I had to cut off because after a whole week of constant messaging he casually mentioned his 13 year-old daughter. We had been talking extensively about family and so on and this never came up once until he apparently thought he had a lock on me. If he had been upfront about it, i wouldn't have cared, but this was strike three. …

The thing about kinks is that they're supposed to be problematic. Or at least have the potential to be. They're "kinked", i.e. not a straight path, a deviation from the norm. This doesn't necessarily make them bad but if your kink is cannibalism or murder or child porn or whatever, then hell yeah I'm going to kink-shame. Gross.

And that's why I'm not sad at being single this year on Valentine's day. I'm in my 30s. If I meet a great guy, then goody. If I don't, I focused on me anyway and I won't have regrets.
