I'm not demanding/naggy, but I do have expensive tastes and was perhaps a bit worried that he didn't really want the upgrade and was just going with what I wanted. Good insight!!

So, a couple more thoughts. How long have you been trying to be less demanding/aloof? Perception doesn't change quickly, and it may take her time to trust that these changes are going to be longterm. Second, be careful with 20% words/80% action. Communication is *so* important. Cheesy, but you need 100% words and 100% actions to back up those words. The "strong silent" type is a trope that leads to a lot of frustration. Nobody is a mind reader.

I challenge you to the opposite, friend. Spend a week thinking no ill of women. What is true for us is true for you: think of the faults and you will find the faults. Think ill of women and they will sense this and avoid you. For instance, the attitudes you expressed in this comment did not make me want to engage in conversation with you. Then I realized it's exactly what OP was talking about.

I just went through this april-june of this year, but a marriage not a LTR. It went by quickly and wasn't really a big deal. Let him do more of the footwork to see you, visit there once for every two times he visits you. Also a good time to throw in some mild "I'm with you because I want to be, not because I need/have to be" vibes. Be independent and not pining away waiting for a text. Spend some quality time with your girlfriends before you move!!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
