So if you don’t have custody figured out, you don’t have finance figured out IMO

Does that get her charged per email?

My STBXW got a DUI post-filing. Did it help you at all or no?

As someone who got filed on, would rather be the one who files. That is presuming it’s over regardless.

Yes, I am thinking along the lines of having an LLC or S-Corp type setup and the company operates at a loss for several years but still accrues assets.

Don’t do it. Amicable now, wait til you have arguments. I’ve done this for a while when financially necessary but you will feel like purgatory. I guess you didn’t say if she would live there too, so would she?

Have him consult with all the best lawyers in town before she gets a lawyer. Then she can’t use the ones he saw.

I’m no lawyer but why start the alimony high instead of starting low?

No prob. From experience it sucks ass when the one slinking around doing god knows what, making you feel like shit, is also driving the court case. Wish I filed instead

You should file so you can be in the drivers seat of the situation.

If it’s not 10 yet, that’s good. Not sure if you filed already, if not do it before 10 years has elapsedn the marriage due to “long-term marriages” and no legal limit on alimony after that

But how can you not afford a house on $440k/yr?

I tried to crosspost this here last night without success. So accurate

Exactly, you’d be lucky to rehome her asap for support reasons

Have her get a job for a while if possible.

Good news is you didn’t marry her.

If you have joint legal custody and therefore you can make medical decisions, you’ll at least have veto power even if you almost always go with her choice. No reason to give that up for medical decisions.

How come the under-the-table earnings don’t get brought above the table since you are hit so hard? No critique, just wondering

I’m looking to be in a similar boat but in the middle of mediation. What do you mean by “bought out my spousal support”? Like pre-paid for a lower overall number but more now? TIA

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
