This person specifically has been repeatedly talking about how the group(and hobby in general) is not gender balanced. She has complained quite a bit and is now taking surveys about this as a way to criticize without making it look like she is criticizing. She has repeatedly said that it is due to sexism and that we should do something to rectify the situation. This is still in the very early stages, no hostility yet.

Most of the feminists I know hate escorts. I had my first real encounter with feminists in high school and you could usually tell them a mile off. You know the girl who doesn't take care of her appearance? Usually a feminist. And I would say that something like 9/10 fat girls at my high school were feminists. Much the same story in college but that's where I first met any MRAs and they all worked out and had pretty nice bodies.

I only have anecdotal evidence but I kinda agree with you. I haven't met too many MRAs but almost all of the ones I have met have been on the more attractive side of things. Both men and women. On the other hand, most of the feminists I have met have been on the less pretty side of things. I have found that I can usually tell a feminist(male or female) from a far way off. But that's only my personal experience.

First of all, it negatively effects your life in many ways. A brief look at the scientific literature will tell you that. Plus, we don't bind women's feet because men prefer that. He has a point. How do you define the differences between nature and nurture between the two genders? But some enterprising minds have done so with interesting results. Look at Baron-Cohen's research or David Reimers or any number of things which show there are unequivocal differences between the genders that are not from society. And I don't listen to Richard Dawkins to tell me about astronomy so why should I listen to Tyson tell me about biology? That isn't his strong suit.
