I'm sick of this assertion that first wave feminism was an equality movement. It was not. First wave feminism was about women getting the same rights as men, while ignoring equal responsibility for women and equal disposability for women.

Feminism has been a female supremacy movement since it's inception.

I would always have supported gender equality, for all genders.

First wave feminism (and second wave, and more recently third wave) are typically described in this way, but my understanding is that is not what any of them are about.

I absolutely would have. Until recent decades, there was a disgusting amount of inequality against women, much of it enforced by the law, that treated women like second class citizens.

I don't really think of it as waves. I consider the so-called 'first wave' of feminism to be a group of people whose successes were retrospectively claimed by later generations as a way to gain legitimacy.

I would have supported certain aspects of it, like women's suffrage, the Women's Property Act, and criminalizing spousal rape. But, at least in the US, what we call "1st wave feminism" was also connected to things I would not have supported, such as the Volstead Act. So, yes... mostly.

The feminism that created the spectre of "patriarchy" that is opressing women? No thanks, Ill just take the multitude of other social liberation movements that emerged in the 60s, like the anti-military draft movement.

There is no "good" feminism, this onion is rotten at the core.

I would, dammit. Susan B. Anthony was someone who walked the walk. She understood that responsibilities and rights are one and the same.

At one point, She insisted that she be arrested for her actions, because that is the penalty a man would have recieved.

That takes a level of integrity and wisdom unheard of in modern feminism.

I would. I believe in equality and turning men's rights into an anti-feminist circle jerk diminishes the real problems of double standards and inequality. Same goes for feminists that spout misandry.

Feminists and men's rights activist need to realize that we're on the same side and we want the same things.

We need to stop listening to extremists on both sides and work towards concensus.

I would have supported women's rights. I would not have supported first-wave feminists, because they were racists, white supremacists, and eugenicists.

Add: It's really important to remember one can support women's rights without supporting Feminism.

Feminism doesn't even support women's rights.
