The idea is that women get to choose, and men don't. I agree with their right to choose, and I agree with a man's as-of-yet-unrecognized right to choose as well. EDIT: Of course, in this case, he chose to have a kid. But a Safe-haven equivalent law for men would allow him to withdraw his choice, just like it allows women. I'm not sure how I feel about Safe-haven laws, but I do know how I feel about them being applied only to women.

I personally think my circumstances wouldn't change, I've grown up with a lifestyle and in area where gender isn't an insurmountable factor. My personality would, but my point was that if I could keep my personality and circumstances (i.e. maintain my outgoing, deliberate personality and my upbringing, academic and career choices) I would make a fantastic woman.
