The people I work with usually have had accidents that resulted in brain trauma, some of them are in a wheelchair, more or less independent, others need care 24/7. Some are disabled from lack of oxygen pre- peri or postnatal. I work at an institution where I look after people with disabilities. Though I'm taking up a Master's this fall so I can work at a school for children with special needs. If I relied on my writing skills to make money, I'd starve within weeks. God help me.

Just to be sure we're on the same page here. I'm not trying to discredit anyone. The openness and honesty in the many posts have actually changed my preconceptions(?) a lot in a very positive way. MGTOW is a great thing with great potential. Hell, it totally makes sense, even from a socioeconomic viewpoint. Basically, engaging with women, marrying them etc. has to somehow pay off. It's just incredibly frustrating to me that people just can't grasp the concept of equality. No, for fuck's sake, feminism doesn't mean that all women now get to pay less for everything, or be more openly aggressive towards men, or even make false harrassment claims. It's insane! I think MGTOW might also partly be the result of women suddenly feeling entitled to everything, thanks to totally misinterpreting feminism to their own benefit.

Child support is a whole another thing, though. That shit can really drive you to ruin. Also I think the child is just as much the man's as it is the woman's. There shouldn't be any preferential treatment unless the child is mature enough to explicitly and independently choose whom they want contact with. Or, you know, if abuse is involved that changes things too.

Yeah, I 100% do those things too. I see a lot of behavior in women that is so entitled. So talking down to others. It pisses me off so much. And it makes me feel ashamed. Idk though, I often feel like some american women have that sprinkle of extra crazy that many europeans don't have.

Yeah, the preconceptions mostly come from this one shitty article I read in a even more shitty online newspaper. First impressions, right? So I made the decision to go against the claims this article made, but since that's all I know, I can only go from there. Thanks for your answers. I once read a few quotes by men in an article. One of them said that he will not help a woman in any way, even if it's just helping her lift a stroller into the bus. It made me wonder what's more important to people. I don't really get hating on a specific gender. But I do get the lifestyle. Neither. I recently moved in a LGBT friendly shared flat. I myself am heterosexual. But I figured since people are putting an effort into being more aware, I thought I should put the same effort into better understanding MGTOW.
