I've been looking at the homeless issue in the UK and how it pertains for men for over 10 years now. This line about 'hidden' homelessness isn't new, and it's used to justify leaving men- especially white men- out of shelters and council housing. It's an extremely disingenuous argument because homeless men are subject to beatings and abuse and cold weather- wouldn't they be "hidden" to if they could choose to be? She's being brainwashed, she's reading feminists articles/blogs and it's making sense to her. The argument they make is "with the bear, know what you're getting. With the man, you don't."
