It's just insane to me that suggesting men should travel to the other end of the Earth to find relationships is now more realistic than asking women to lower their standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 05:33 PM

It means she found a more attractive guy on the app.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 02:21 PM

No, obviously not. The term "gymcel" exists for a reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 02:20 PM

This is the kind of bluepill comment I would expect in 2013, I think this gets laughed out of the room today.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/22 02:19 PM

Social media, food, sex, sleep.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/22 02:12 PM

I do leave her alone. I'm blackpilled and it's over.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/22 12:12 PM

Yes, I do know several. They are either an open relationships or they have been cheated on and remain with the girl anyway out of desperation.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/22 06:20 PM
6

They used to get tired of it, but social media has inflated their egos and they get non-stop validation from simps. That gives them the idea that if they try just ONE MORE TIME they can lock down that super hot guy. Trust me, women want nothing to do with average men. They are better off giving up on dating entirely because the truth is that women wouldn't bat an eye if they were gassed like the holocaust.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/22 05:32 PM
11

Average women will be pumped and dumped by high value men, and will accept this over settling with an average guy. It's called soft harems. Then they will incessantly complain about lack of commitment while ignoring the fact that they are only seeking commitment from a small percentage of extremely attractive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/22 05:12 PM

I think they pretty much already discourage us from doing this. That's why #metoo became a thing, it was to prevent non-Chads from initiating anything and labeling it as harassment. There's a woman at my local grocery store who I would love to talk to and tell her I think she's beautiful, but since I'm 5'4" and ethnic, this is a recipe to get the police to show up and bash my skull in.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/22 04:10 PM
3

Well this debunks the whole blue pill narrative I keep hearing about "You have to be happy with yourself first and love yourself, only then can you get a healthy relationship" I mean I kind of knew it was bs anyway because the most Trainwreck human beings I know are still able to find relationships simply by virtue of being attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/22 03:15 PM
33

Thank you for deunking the whole "personality" and "confidence" trope we see in here. It turns out, you just need to be hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 04:13 PM
1

So what you want is supposed to matter, but what struggling men want isn't supposed to matter. Because we are told that we are being "entitled" by expressing our desire for sex and intimacy. This is a huge double standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:42 PM
7

Why would no sex have a detrimental effect on the relationship? According to the blue pillers here, you can just shut off your desire for sex at will and stop complaining about not having it. And of course you're going to try to move the goal post now and pretend that blue pillers don't say that, but that is literally what men who struggle with dating or getting laid are always told. It's not a real need, and we are not entitled to it. Which if that were true, lack of sex would never be detrimen…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:41 PM
-2

Yes, those things are not needs. However, as you pointed out, people are highly upset if they are banned, OR IF THEY STRUGGLE TO ATTAIN THEM. That's all I'm getting at. Men who are struggling with dating should be allotted the same amount of compassion instead of constantly labeled as incels, misogynists and whiners.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:27 PM
4

Well then stop having sex. After all, you are not "entitled" to sex, right? It's not a real need. At least that's what men who are struggling are constantly told here.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 04:24 PM
5

I think the whole point of dating is to date someone you're actually attracted to so no I'm not going to do that. It wouldn't be fair to me or her.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 08:21 PM
6

Quite frankly, I'm not terribly worried about whether they are secure or insecure. Human beings are flawed and we all have insecurities. It's best if we nurture those and heal our partner the best we can. But women don't see it this way apparently, they think every guy must believe in his head he's Dwayne the Fucking Rock Johnson before he ever dare speak to her. It's just not realistic. And it's especially not realistic for men in the situation that I've been talking about. This is where the to…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 08:10 PM
6

Cool, so now the mask comes off. We support men being vulnerable and honest about their emotions, until they actually are, then it's "annoying".
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 07:54 PM
6

I totally disagree, I think competence comes before confidence. For example, I am extremely confident in my ability to run a mile in less than 8 minutes because I do it several times a week. I'm also confident that if I throw a baseball really high in the air I will be able to catch it. Because once again, I've done it before many times. I am not, however, confident that if I ask for a woman's phone number or for a date that it will succeed because this is somewhere I have failed many times. Eve…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 07:49 PM
3

Of course that's the only way to feel confident. Most everyone is unsure of themselves when they first try something. And then after many failures or rejections you feel very unconfident.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 07:08 PM
6

I'm just waiting for the ridiculous takes of people saying this will have some kind of effect on the dating market. It won't. Women will go for the same exact men, except now they will carry their babies to term. And while they probably can't afford it it doesn't matter because they are far too addicted to Chad cum.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 04:13 PM
1

We don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/22 11:03 AM
9

I completely disagree. Humans are social animals and relationships are crucial to well-being in basically all areas of life.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 06:37 PM
2

No, redpillers believe in self improvement in order to get more dating prospects. It's generally blue pillers who think that you need to just "be happy on your own" but then don't take their own advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 06:29 PM
37

"You can't expect a relationship to make you happy, you have to be a complete person with a happy life yourself and then a relationship will simply add to that." This one is the most annoying to me, because it defies basic common sense. If relationships weren't meant to make people happier, they wouldn't pursue them. If they were happy all by themselves and content with their lives, they won't waste time trying to find mates. It's obviously an expectation that relationships are supposed to make …

Okay then throw out some suggestions. Where do you suggest I find a woman or a wife? Since it's so easy walk me through it. And I promise you whatever you suggest I have likely already done. But maybe I'm wrong and I'm open for suggestions. Just for background im 28 and work a blue collar job 5 days a week.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 04:09 PM
2

I dispute this heavily. First of all, "social skills" are also based on looks more than anything else. For example, if a guy is attractive, he can make the lamest jokes in the world and women will laugh at everything he says. However, the same exact jokes and conversation from an unattractive guy will be met with disdain. So when the unattractive guy struggles with women, they will then blame his "bad social skills" as a post-hoc rationalization. And as far as the wing woman at a bar, I've liter…

90% of my friends are women and I don't have that expectation. I'm just answering the common trope I see you on here because it's 100% untrue from my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 03:20 PM
2

There was a study recently in this very sub that there are about twice as many men single as there are women. Which means that women are likely sharing the same small percentage of men. Of course you're going to ignore this data or think that it means something else because you have a Just World fallacy where every Jack gets their Jill and you want to ignore all problems that men face because despite what women SAY about men needing to be vulnerable and open up, they don't actually want us to do…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:51 PM
4

100% false. Women know within 2 seconds whether or not you are sexually suitable.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:48 PM
1

I've literally seen this happen. This is the reason women have ridiculous standards, because Chad will have casual sex with them out of boredom with absolutely no intention of a relationship. Then they start believing that they deserve Chad.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:45 PM
1

No, he's going to string her along and pump and dump her. Adding her to the soft harem.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:40 PM
3

No amount of wit, humor, or intelligence from a 5'7" balding guy is going to beat the 6'3" guy with model-tier looks who is literally one right swipe away.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:25 PM
5

You literally just proved my point. She set you up with the ex because she believes he is worthy of sex and relationships. He met the attraction threshold.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:23 PM
4

Well see that's the problem, unless men can openly discuss their dating issues, then they well either suffer in silence or seek out extremist groups who WILL listen to and validate them. We certainly don't need more of the latter, but that's exactly why it happens.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:18 PM
9

The last paragraph of your post is somewhat true but you are missing a key component. Yes, they are more trusting in a general sense. But there is a huge difference in sexual vetting and platonic vetting. They will quickly pick up on whether or not you are attractive enough to be dating material. In other words, they may "trust" you as a gay bestie or something even if you're straight. Which is generally how women view their platonic male friends. A gay or non-sexual being.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 02:12 PM
7

We are discussing this because when men talk about getting friendzoned they are told "but that's good because she can set you up with her female friends!" Which pretty much confirms that women only see attractive men and everyone else is invisible.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/22 01:53 PM
3

I blame my poor mental state on the fact that I'm alone and feel unattractive because of this. People don't understand, but you actually need positive reinforcement and feedback to feel good about yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 10:04 PM
3

Can you give an example? And why would I want to do that to begin with?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:31 PM
11

I think it's just frustrating because the people who often give this advice never practice what they preach. Literally every attractive person I know is constantly in relationships. If "being happy on your own" was actually a thing, you would expect some of them would probably be single for long stretches of time. But they NEVER ARE. They either have a lasting relationship or marriage or they jump from one relationship to the next. For some reason people demand us lonely folks to have this super…

Of course I still have standards, I don't ask every Woman of age that I see, that would be absurd. I want someone who looks decent (not hot) and clicks with me personality-wise. And that's a very bare minimum. And there's lots of those women out there, but they don't want me. Why am I expected to just throw my standards in the garbage?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 07:35 PM
8

Well you may be right, I would love to learn to be happy alone, but how do you suggest practically I do this? And I'm being serious, because if I could get rid of this need to have a romantic relationship, I feel my life would be fantastic. I'm extremely accomplished otherwise. I just don't think it's possible, as evidenced by 95% of my peers entering romantic relationships constantly. It's pretty clear to me that it's a human need. Again if you can change my View and prove otherwise, I would lo…

I keep seeing this idea in the comments, and frankly I think it's a load of bull. I think most people seek out relationships because they want someone to make them happier. We are hardwired to seek out sex and companionship. Otherwise they wouldn't waste time dating. And they also wouldn't be bothered when a breakup happens. They would simply move on with their happy life. I've seen people after breakups and they are utterly devastated, almost to the point of suicide in some cases. This mythical…

We hug, but that's about all. If I asked to cuddle with my female friends I would be looked at as creepy. You know it and I know it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 04:57 PM
4

Nice evasion by the way. I asked you a specific question and you didn't give an example. I should also point out that 90% of my friends are women. We have wonderful, deep friendships where we share all kinds of life problems and grow together, but this is not a romantic relationship is it? I'm never going to be as important as their actual boyfriend am I?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 04:38 PM
9

Lots of them have clicked with me fine but make it known they want to be "just friends" and I respect that. And no, I have even asked to be set up but they claim to have no single friends. In my experience, if you are unattractive, women simply do not want to set you up with their friends because they may think their friends will take it as an insult. If you want to see how unattractive I am, I can send pictures in a private message.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 04:11 PM
4

I'm not trying to be an ass here, I'm legitimately asking, what would romantic interaction between men that isn't sexual look like? Do I hug him? Kiss him on the lips? Because nine times out of ten this is going to get me punched in the face. And on top of that, I have no desire to initiate that whatsoever.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 04:01 PM

The overwhelming majority of my friends are female. I'm a longtime member of a political organization and several charity organizations.

By this logic, people would never be upset over breakups or divorce. They would simply shrug their shoulders and say "my life is already wonderful". But that's not reality. I know people that are absolutely devastated by divorce. They turn to alcohol, drugs, and all kind of awful vices to cope, and more importantly, they immediately start trying to date again! I don't understand this fictional person who has it all together and only seeks out relationships to "add something" to their already gre…

I apologize if you think I'm not trying to have an open mind, but you must also have an open mind with me and understand that I have tried for years to love myself and let that be enough. But on a deep level, I hurt. And then I'm told that I'm not supposed to and I just don't love myself enough. It's very frustrating.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 03:21 PM

If life is so great single, then please tell me, why do people constantly seek out relationships? Especially conventionally attractive people, for whom it is easy to attain. If their life was so wonderful by themselves, why would they bother? Are you in a relationship? Are you married? Are you willing to just dump them right now because you love yourself? Stop gaslighting.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 03:04 PM
7

To answer your question, yes I would probably tell him that self-improvement has very little to do with dating success and anyone who tells you otherwise is either gaslighting or scamming you. It really boils down to your looks, and I have seen this time and time again. I know several people with no job, no Hobbies, but they have conventionally attractive faces and are tall. They are constantly in relationships. Also, no I did not see it as a quick fix. I moved out of my home when I was 18 years…

You say life shouldn't be defined based on your romantic success, and I completely agree with this, but you are ignoring that everything in our culture constantly reinforces the idea that your quality of life is indeed dependent on your ability to attain love and sex. If you are single for a long period of time or past a certain age, it is seen as a red flag. If you are a virgin past a certain age, you are seen as a loser.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 02:44 PM

I know you mean well, but you have made a lot of assumptions about me and frankly the responses in this thread are incredibly frustrating because everyone seems to be doing this. I shower every day, I go to the gym, I take care of my physical appearance, I dress well, I do not eat garbage, mostly because I care about my health and well-being and I socialize. THAT BEING SAID..... I still have the desire for a relationship and a partner. Why is that so hard for people to grasp? I mean if everyone …

I'm heterosexual, of course I want a relationship with a woman. How is that a red flag? If I could be gay suddenly I would gladly do it because there's lots of men interested in me and they have made this known.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 01:56 PM

It lasted about a year. She ended up cheating. I buzzed mine down as well but I find it that makes very little difference. You're still perceived as bald and genetically inferior either way.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 01:54 PM

28, had one LTR when I was 21. Then I lost my hair. I also feel like standards have gotten much higher since that time. Since the explosion of online dating I think things are significantly worse for average men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 01:50 PM
13

I have tons of both. Did you read the post? That's my whole point. You can have tons of hobbies, lots of friends, lots of social interaction, and all of that is still a poor substitute for romantic relationships. People in this thread are acting as if you can just brush the latter to the side if you have the former. In my experience, that's not really true.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 01:46 PM
6

Really? Is that why these people were having meltdowns after 2 weeks of being in quarantine? Also, you can be okay with being alone but also have the desire for a romantic relationship, one of the most fundamental desires of human beings on a biological level. It's not a 100% either/or.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 01:37 PM
4

Would I be embarrassed being seen with this person in public? That's the standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/21 06:06 PM
65

The actual core of the issue is that women generally seek to lock down the men they have casual sex with in relationships. When they fail to do so over many years, that is when they "settle" for someone they perceive as "relationship material". So even if you land a relationship as a man who can't have casual sex, it's likely you will be with someone who didn't want you as their first choice. Which leads to all kinds of problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/21 02:17 PM
1

How are we supposed to enjoy life without relationships? I don't care what hobby people have, if you were to ask them whether they would trade their SO for any of their hobbies, they would all answer no. Every single one of them. The whole culture is built around finding love and relationships so I'm genuinely asking, what am I realistically supposed to do? I'm all alone and about to turn 30.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/21 03:46 PM
0

How is that supposed to feasibly work? Date someone I'm not attracted to just for the sake of doing it? I would resent the person, the situation, and myself. I would also be seen as more of a loser by my peers and family, no?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 11:22 AM
0

This is the correct take. Sad but true. Honestly, I think there's no choice but to accept that I'm a genetic failure, unworthy of love or appreciation. I'm looking at suicide in the near future. At least before I turn 30.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 11:15 AM

I just talk to them like a normal human being, man. I introduce myself, shake hands, we normally talk and have a somewhat decent conversation, but only if it's an older person or a gay man who clearly wants sex. Then I have to explain I don't swing that way. Otherwise, if I introduced myself to women in the same exact manner they act as if they really don't want to be there. It's hard not to get disheartened over this stuff and then ask for honest advice and just get blamed for having the wrong …
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 02:33 AM

Because I've gone over and over again, without thr slightest interest from women. I sit there and drink, try to start conversations, get disinterested or one word answers, with the exception of old or overweight women or gay men, and then at the end of the night I have wasted time and money. I don't know why either. I honest to God wish I had answers.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 11:42 PM
9

THANK YOU. It's all about value. A man who needs to be set up with someone automatically has his value lowered substantially. Women fundamentally crave someone who "seems" somewhat unavailable.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 10:47 PM
6

This. Also I have never seen the whole "the girls in relationships will set you up with their friends" thing play out in real life. If it were that simple, I very seriously doubt I would be single for this long because I've had many female friends.....
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 08:39 PM

Ok what do you suggest for hobbies?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 08:34 PM

"You have friends? Those friends have girlfriends. Those girlfriends have female friends. Those female friends are single, and they are looking to date. Those women your friends are in a relationship with are going to introduce you to their single female friends, and from there, if there's chemistry and mutual interest, you date them." I understand the idea here, but I have almost never seen this play out in real life. First off, most of these female friends of friends are either in relationship…

From my experience, volunteer groups are 95% MARRIED PEOPLE.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 06:28 PM

Ok thanks, your 2nd paragraph really clarifies a lot. I'm essentially destined to be alone due to my age, if I showed up to a party or social event with a younger crowd I would be labeled a predatory creep. And everybody worthwhile in my age bracket is married or coupled up.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 06:25 PM
2

Ok well then do tell, where are these parties taking place and how do I just show up at one? I mean I'm a 27 year old male, work a 9 to 5 job, generally my friends are married and doing married shit, WTF are you even talking about "plain sight"?? Unless you're already immersed in a social circle that involves heavy partying (such as college), this is damn near impossible for your average male who has a job and responsibilities.

All women lie about how much sex they've had, you can write that in stone. Your average woman has slept with 6-8 partners by the time she turns 20, which is more than what most men get in a lifetime. After that, I'm guessing it's anywhere from 50-100 over a lifetime for your average woman.

I guess because it feels natural and I have a hard time overcoming it. Humans are social animals, theres really no getting around that. We seek a sense of belonging, and I just don't have that. That's what makes me feel alien. I have a stable financial situation, happy with my job, I go on trips, I'm in great shape, I have friends, but at the end of the day....I derive no real enjoyment from any of this and feel alone. HAHAHA Could not be more out of touch if you tried. Average men in 2018 are very lucky to match with 350 lb. whale on your average dating site. They certainly have 0 success in the real world.

every picture I've ever seen of an "incel" was a normal looking dude. I don't understand where the "genetic inferiority" meme comes from. Yeah that's a testament to hypergamy and how high women's standards are in 2018. Incels are not neckbeard basement dwellers, they are normal looking, hardworking men. But normal in today's sexual marketplace = ugly. If you aren't Ryan Gosling you pretty much have no hope. Don't believe me? Set up a Tinder account of one of these men and watch how much you stru…

Rule 1 - be attractive. Rule 2 - don't be unattractive. Literally what everything with women boils down to.

No.

For me it was the election of Donald Trump. Seriously. The guy is clearly openly misogynist, brags about sexually groping women (grab em by the pussy, do whatever you want), has explicitly stated that you have to "treat women like shit"..... and what happens? He wins 54% of the non-college-educated women's vote. Wins a substantial number of college-educated women. Wins the presidency. And has a hot model wife. It confirms what red pill says about women. Watch what they do, not what they say.

And they accuse TRP of movie cliches....

Just world fallacy. There's no way women could be sleeping with such people because good things never happen to bad people. But yes I was cheated on in my last LTR, and the guy she ran to is currently incarcerated for possession of drugs as well as beating the piss out of her.

"Do you really think they care about getting commitment from a guy that they don't even know the name of that fucked them at some music festival or fingered them behind a bar?" Yes. In fact, many women I've known dated these types of men in their youth, and even stayed in extremely abusive situations for long periods of time with these men.

It feels insulting because it's literally saying "you're only good enough when my life has fallen apart and I have no other viable options". Although if I'm to believe blue pill, these women are simply "mature" now and there's nothing wrong with them attempting to get me to clean up their mess.

Let me clarify then - you're right, but WHO they want long term relationships with generally changes over time. They go from chasing "fun" and sexual excitement as a first priority in their youth to going for stability and a provider when they get older. I've experienced this personally.

This makes the most sense to me and it's a reason I'm MGTOW. I just don't see how I'm supposed to NOT feel insulted when formerly attractive women who turned me down in their youth for drug dealers and other assorted felons suddenly want me to be the life janitor and mop up after their poor choices.

I think TRP would respond to this by noting that women seem to very conveniently "mature" when their looks can no longer attract the men they want.

No, you're assuming I want some kind of "solution" for this issue. I support mgtow because I believe very simply that the average man is screwed and has absolutely no chance with women. We are invisible and there's not much that could make us visible.

This sounds exactly like what some rich business executive would say when people complain about lack of job opportunity. "Those poor people are directionless and clueless, they need to be taught the value of hard work and how to develop an impressive resume. Do some volunteer work, then maybe they can get some work and decent wages!" Of course this is out of touch with the real problem, which is the job market heavily favoring the rich. Much like the SMP is dominated by women, but as soon as you…

I've always imagined how much simpler things would be if women responded sexually to someone who treats them well or makes sacrifices for them. Sort of like how I wish the harder someone worked, the wealthier they were. Unfortunately the SMP is just as ass-backwards as the monetary system.

The blue flairs are notably absent here.

This is a reoccuring problem I'm seeing with all blue pillers. There's always the appeal to "common sense" which to them means society's fairy tales that they offer no evidence to support. I'm persuaded by evidence and real world experience - which is why I lean red pill.

You may as well have asked "have you ever felt deceived or manipulated by crack cocaine or heroin?" I think of romantic love in the same light as drug use. And just like any drug, you use it or allow it to use you (which usually means acting in ways you would not otherwise). As a matter of fact, I think there were studies done that proved the same pathways in your brain that are activated by crack cocaine are activated by falling in love.

If BP advice worked "fine" for most men, then RP would not exist. /thread.

Listen to the things the guy literally said: when you're a star you can do whatever you want, grab them by the pussy, you can do anything That's bragging about sexual assault. And the fact that ANY woman would look at that and say "yes, please make him the most powerful man in the country" proves RP theory is correct about women's darker nature. They like being dominated. They may SAY they would never vote for a pig like that, but look at what they did in the privacy of the booth. It's jaded me …

The fact that Trump won the majority of the women vote is what pushed me into Red Pill territory. Seriously.
