I would say that it is 99% vs 1%. The real game is that you can differentiate yourself in the 99%. The 99% is all the same, its a flat distirubution. Similar situation here. I can relate :) - kinda annoying feeling but I need to also remember that I have dated a nice girl when she was 29 and I was 28, she told me that she dated a guy 30 years older when she was 20. Well, this direct stuff can have opening rate of 10%. So maybe 100 aproaches give you 10 open sets. If it is less than that then probably you are doing somethind wrong. I like semi-direct daygame, have opening rates of 50%-80%.
