i actually agree with this sentiment for the most part, except in the case of leaving a marriage. You've already committed, for better or worse (within reason)...if a women "monkey" branches only because she can, she is the bad actor in the situation. Outside of marriage, you are mostly correct that a woman's privilege exists due to men and she is well within her right to act accordingly. But would you agree that if she ends up a single mother or alone/unhappy (if happily married was her intenti…

As a man, this is terrible advice for dealing with someone like me. If you break up with me for no cause, I'll let you walk. If you break up with me for some trivial cause, I might fight to keep the relationship, but from there on out I'm already thinking you will jump ship for any small reason and will already be shopping a new relationship.

And women are date raped out of every sorority...which mostly do not take engineering courses. I'm sure you friend was harassed, and its unfortunate...but it's not systemic. My anecdotal experience is that the few women there were left in CS, they normally had men hovering around them, willing to help or partner up.

I skimmed through it. Interesting read that CS degrees were on an uptick, then suddenly young women stopped going into the field. I didn't see a concrete reason or proof of systemic sexism. The wage gap source they use is flawed. They make the claim that men in tech make up to 61% more than women, "compared to 48% for the US as a whole"....seems like they are using the same metric where they take all the men and women regardless of title/hours and average them out. Going thru the possible causes…

Your source on "not letting them in"? I work in the field, we consistently struggle to DEI as many female applicants as possible to reach some parity. I went to school for engineering, my class had less than 10% women...by the upper divisions there were less than 5% women. The last time i looked at this study, when you accounted for all those variables, some industries women were ahead, and some they were behind by as much as a single digit % diff. Close enough you could explain it away with neg…

We would hope most people don't think of marriages as temporary, but the statistical truth is 50% end that way. So this happens very often...and the prevailing stories are deadbeat father or woman using children as bargaining chips for more child support and/or alimony. Sure that might not happen, but you also have the convenience of being a woman and never being lied to about the origin of the baby. The case in question is that a Father is lied to about a baby (partner cheated) and how should t…

I mean a relationship is temporary in most cases. You've broken up with people and you owe them no emotional or financial support. If we were in a relationship, I had a child from a previous relationship, would you be happy to pay me child support when we broke up? I mean the government treats the child as a possession and asset in times of taxes...and so does the mother as she's the one seeking financial support. If we're just talking about a relationship, why are we talking about money at all?…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/24 09:06 PM

I mean the post is looking for fair justice, transactional seems like the only way to be objective in these matters. The child is an unfortunate causality in this since the fraud is between the mother and the father and doesn't directly involve the child. If the mother robs a bank, doesn't pay her taxes, etc having a child doesn't shield her from those punishments, why should defrauding a private citizen not be the same?

well the simple solution was arranged marriages and trading for daughters with a cow or some satchel of money and jewels. We don't do that in the west anymore, so I guess the next best thing is a social circle where your next potential partner is served up to you on a platter.

I think the problem is Korea's population is already highly educated...so they don't need help there. It is rare the public sector can every pay more than the private sector, especially for educated workers, and the highly possible chance of dying. Currently Korea needs the entirety of its young men to fill its ranks. 100%. You'd find it pretty much impossible to offer anything to get 100% sign on. Your ideas are great in a society like the US. I mean the primary reason why I think you are mediocre is because you stated that you got your job because of your manly name (which you denied saying...)(but not anymore?). Also, you were implying the other poster was mediocre...i just thought it was a funny exchange. My personal experience with DEI has been pretty negative. It is of course anecdotal, but being told to strongly consider to hire someone solely on their gender and ethnicity. Then strongly consider promoting them because other peo…

Sure I get that. But it is easy to claim that while living in a large populated country, with an advanced military, and its nearest like-power enemy an ocean away. If you were the leader of S.Korea, what would you do to keep a standing army? aside from conscription.

I’ve almost certainly been moved forward in a job-seeking process just for having a male name on my resume If you can make your ideal gym at home, go for it! (I say, crying in one-bedroom apartment) Aren't these both comments you've made in this thread? Sure sounds like mediocrity to me. i mean its a population of 50M vs 330M. Factor women unusable in the front lines and people over the serving age, there aren't many abled bodied people left to defend the country. I'd figure US has more volunteers because we have better war propaganda (top gun), and a less college bound/educated average. People sign up for the military because they have no other direction in life, or they "want to blow shit up". Majority of 18yrs walking into a mall to sign up for the armed forced, didn't have a…

I can appreciate not all women are the same, and you might have had better experiences....or at least better friends. You've gotten positive attention, but not all women will hate you to your face. We agree the source of some hate is jealousy...and we also agree the hate is misguide and its really self hate, but we also grew up in a society that tells us we're special and its never our fault. I would bet more people would externalize the hate rather than be self loathe. Reality TV (while not acc…

"They hate us cause they ain't us"...the girls that can't afford or don't have that natural beauty, hate the girls that do. The ones willing to risk their lives or jump thru all the hoops to compete hate themselves and I would guess hate the other girls to some extent. I'm sure every woman that has to make up 2hr earlier to put on their face, spend hundreds of dollars they don't have for makeup/nails/hair....hates what they have to do just a little. Waking up from a botched plastic surgery. Isn'…

You say that, but its hate. They can't just be happy that this girl is beautiful with her C cups and the positive attention she gets. They decide throw down 10k, risk dying on the table, to take away her natural advantage. Insecurity is hate as well. You hate yourself, but you also hate society a bit, and you definitely hate her and her perfect tits. The industry shouldn't have taken off like this, but women hate each other so much they made competition a norm. Attractive and fit men have always…

Some objective proof (i'm not sure if the correlation can be made); the cosmetic industry, the cosmetic surgery industry; and reality TV targeted towards women. The competition and hate is so high that if they are "lacking" they'll spend 100s to 1000s to have what their competition has. They'll even risk their health to do so. They claim this isn't for men, it is for themselves...which I read this is to feel better compared to other peer women.

I think its really a society issue. The more fair would be most people were good actors. Most, if not all, were seeking only long lasting marriage type relationships. In reality, this hasn't happened...so society chose to control women and put the pressure on them to gatekeep. We shamed promiscuous women, so they were forced to make more careful decisions about the partners they took on. This could be the biological design, where men are designed to spread their seed as much as possible and wome…

I think this may happen one day. It would have to be a grand open source product that people donate their time in making work. The issue is dating apps are not a social good and created by for profit companies. They better they work at matching forever, the less profits they have. And rather then using it as a way to advertise for date venues relationship gifts, they just target the most willing to pay, MEN. If they design the app to limit false matches for everyone, something as simple as 1 liv…

Obviously my anecdotal evidence is small, but I’ve dated both and they have similar attitudes about home making. My 40-60k gfs didn’t care I made substantially more, didn’t do more housework or cook better. My 100k gfs didn’t make the home better, but expected I make more than them. Yea, the whole men have a super lost cost of living and women just can't accept that. She doesn't subscribe to the "I might make a sandwich later knife". Or unused spaces are just going to get dusty, maybe don't walk over there and look at it. My only cover, the rest of the guys in the group are all about the same, so all the wives just echo chamber it is what it is. Also, all the men are fairly high earners so life goes on.

I don't know who these men are or if they really even exist. i get it if you are in the top 1% money isn't important to you and your partner having a 9-5 would be more of a detriment. if you are in the bottom 50%, you are too poor to care, and money is money. For the 51%-99%, there is more variance. An 8hr a day, 50k/yr woman has nearly the same attitude as a 200k/yr 8hr woman...so you might as well get take the one with more money (if all things equal). I have a wife and kids. It was not an absolute necessity to have kids, but I could see myself being a father. We didn't agree with division of labor from the onset, but figured we'd figure it out. I stand by 50/50 is usually a pipe dream, and I give an reasonable (a man's perspective) amount of care. The rub is, she is particular about the level of care, and wishes to provide more. He should 100% divorce her now. Depending on the lawyer and the state, could he even get an annulment (especially based on the child bearing situation). Even if he's strapped for alimony for the foreseeable future, he's only going to make more money later, and having child support tacked on would be even worse. Divorce is a no brainer. If the story is real, the guy is stupid...and this is just the cost.

You can't say "fat women were never really in", then say blk hispanic guys prefer fatter women. And Historically fatter women were found attractive (not like 600lb women), but wasn't it a sign of wealth that you could even get fat. I do not believe there is a correlation of blk women all getting fatter as they age. Sure there are some quasimodo looking girls you'd rather chop your dick off than touch. I agree with the statement that competition would be much higher. You get larger pool, but you get more competition. I guess I would say believe in yourself, that you can rise above enough of your competition to get what you want. You are preferring traditional methods because then your potentials have little choice and not many as good as you. In the same vein, you might have worse choices in your immediate circle and you are settling because that is all you have immediate access to. Unless you…

Companies come and go, but I believe the reach that OLD affords you is unmatched. I believe meeting a good partner is just a numbers game. You need access to as many potential partners to have the best hope in finding a good match. Traditional ways forces you to pick from a very small pool of people you might have access to.

OLD is the future, and there are many pros to it. I find because it is new/unregulated, there are a lot of bad actors in it. As it become more and more common place, more people will learn how to act on it. I'm also biased because I found my wife on OLD. I don't think looks match is the only thing ppl partner up for. I clearly missed your point. People can be single by choice if they choose to just not participate. But for the population that are seeking a partner, you cannot just claim that your options are bad so you have no choice. A bad choice is still a choice. If you can only attract the bottom 10% of society...then you are very likely near the bottom 10%. Beauty standards have evolved and change over every generation. Fads come in and out...people can fully control what they believe is attractive. Your attraction likely comes from various inputs thru media, family, friends, etc. Pre angelila jolie, big lips was not a point of attraction. I feel this is a huge byproduct of online dating. Barrier to entry for top tier men is super low + new movement of female sexual freedom. This combination, makes it easy/ok for women to sleep with top tier men...only to think they themselves are top tier...its like they forgot to teach their daughters what a 2am booty call really means. I think the problem with the passport bro is you have to go and stay in their market. Issue, lots of those men are only so-so financially here, go there to flaunt their wealth...but once they bring that woman back its a different game. She 100% didn't marry you for love, its the opportunity. So with that mindset, once she learns the language, lives the life, she'll monkey branch just as fast.

I mean if all you can attract are the bottom 10%, sadly maybe that person would also belong in what they think is the bottom 10%. Your market value is what the market is willing to pay for it.

My point is ugly, 40, money isn't the red flag you think it is. good looking, 40, money would have even more red flags. So all you are really saying is someone 40 and rich...is a red flag cause you feel most women the only thing that's important is money and they would have locked him up earlier.

I won't accept gay bar or nursing home as valid arguments. At least on the grounds of biology, there is still a level of reproduction that drives coupling. Also, a guy that can't get what the society would deem an average girl isn't cleaning up at the gay bar...i'm pretty sure they have standards as well. I believe you could control what you are attracted to, that's what growing up is. I'm sure in a vacuum most people are physically attracted to the fuckboi or the thot. Its after growing up and …

I don't think acceptable really should a a qualifier. If you have options and you voluntarily turn them down then you are single by choice. If you are claiming there are no "acceptable" or good choices, then perhaps you have inflated standards (but definitely your choice). Its like saying you will only date a gosling or sweeney, and all the other possibilities that will return your call are just considered unacceptable.

I mean lots of money, good looking, AND never married might be the real red flag. Clearly a playboy, living some dicaprio life. Have you ever thought the ugly/gross dude is ugly and gross and that's why he hasn't been married. Unless your stance is there are enough trash women out there that, someone would have trapped him by now? There are plenty of ppl that earn 300k and you couldn't even tell.

I mean making 300k/yr even 1M/yr isn't getting handshakes from the likes of Epstein. Maybe the bald baller wants to meet a legit match and doesn't want to drive a 150k car, sub to sugar babies, hang out in gold digger bars, etc. i know a few ppl making that kind of money and their only downsides are they aren't the most attractive or out going (introverted)...no red flags, just a bit of struggling.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 07:06 PM

I'm in my late 30s, I'm really not into that social media life. Haha yea, my profile picture gets updated once a year if even and it'll be something casually taken from the roll. For sure I'd at least pick the decent ones. I thought most men operated in this fashion. Hop on the app, swipe 100 times, maybe start up 5-10 conversations and go on even fewer in person dates. I wish I was truly crushing it...but didn't think specifically cultivated pics would really be the difference maker.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/24 06:59 PM

i posted 4 random pictures from my camera roll...I didn't know guys were working that hard to lie on their dating profiles. I figure I look the way I look, rather not waste your time with a partial catfish. its not like you are gonna hook up if i show up 20lbs over weight, 5yrs older, or without those great filters. I found enough success with this approach. I for sure wasn't beating 'em off with a stick. I found enough dates and even married one.

There's a lot left in the spectrum between someone making 80k and Epstein owning an island rich. A bald, fat man, making 300k doesn't have women lining up for him. i don't think just being 40 and well to do shows up as red flags.

Your attractive friend is getting hit up for sex as well, even more than your unattractive friends. It's just the men she's going on dates with are higher quality and/or value her more. So I'm going to take her to a nice place, treat her right, basically convince her to give me and chance and sleep with me. If she asked any of her dates if they wanted to sleep with her right now, she'd have a far higher success rate than you less attractive friends.

Bars and Nightclubs. Tho I'm 100% pro online dating, it's here to stay. I feel like however you are rated, there's not replacement for the large number of people you'd have access to via online dating. I do understand that in its current form with its current customer base its sometimes unfair for certain level of people.

I enjoy reminiscing about adventures and good times had. With a LTR, that person is always there, through the ups and down...they are supposed to be there for you. You may have friends that you act a certain way around, but you are around that LTR too much for you to fake it that long, so they generally accept you for who you really are. Until I got married I found it a waste since all these memories I was making with other gfs were all just temporary as we'd eventually move on....sorta saw it a…

Yes, at the very least most likely to set you up for financial stability and actionable advice. Like, "Don't waste your time with college, just pick up a basketball...make it to the NBA and become a millionaire" is likely horrible advice for the 99% of the population that would never even play D1 ball. Prudent advice would be go into nursing, doctor, pharmacy, software, accountant, etc as if you can pass you are more than likely to get that 100-200k salary (that the person was already impressed …

Sure 150k w2 worker is broke compared to a business owner net'n over 1M a year. Just like Besos thinks you are some poverty person as well. Your advice is completely useless to the common man. Own a business or already have enough money to buy SUBSTANTIAL equity in other peoples business (via stocks you can buy miniscule equity in other's companies). I'm pretty sure the person asking the question belongs to the 99% and would just like to improve their life and not go into bankruptcy.

Choosing the right industry absolutely matters. We're talking averages when we give advice. You are absolutely right, you could claim being the HR manager of a huge corp or even the personal secretary of a very successful CEO will earn you 200k/yr...but when everyone becomes a secretary, they'll find avg salaries much lower. You know what, 100% I agree with your first point. While unmarried it's your responsibility to treat your relationship as a business...but that is likely very hard. In the case of a SAHP, you'd have to negotiate a "wage" to keep everything above board which is very unlikely. I was only considering 50/50 earning partners where all finances are separate.

I've seen the statistic at 50% even higher at times. Even if we take your 40% of marriages end in divorce as gospel, its still such a high percentage that I would argue the act of marriage has nothing to do with a successful 2 person household or offer any further grantees to a mother (other than financial). 100% it is better to have a 2 person household. We're not getting anywhere, I'm clearly also biased. I guess I would be the in the minority on the hook for alimony and child support, so I cl…

If you are considering "safety", sounds like the only safe bet is have a child with someone of economic means. Someone who would be on the hook for child support and/or alimony. Being married isn't the difference maker since 50% of the time you'd become a single mother anyway. You'd only have access to reasonable child support and/or alimony if the person is of means.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 12:56 AM
1

When being married, has a 50% of making you a single mother...I'd assume that the getting married part really isn't the deciding factor in whether you become a single mother or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 12:48 AM
-1

Sure, ok. then are you agreeing with the spirit of my statement? Having a baby with your husband vs baby daddy has the same real world risk. Another commenter stated that only 10% of people paid alimony, you are saying child support is avg $400 (not enough and also unpaid)...so there is no protection to being married. Sounds like more important that your marriage status is having a child with the "right person" or at the very least one richer than you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 11:35 PM
4

If you are saying that child support is unpaid and and women do not expect alimony...then how is an unmarried mother worse off than a baby mama? I didn't realize alimony awards were so low (learned something new). Unfortunately (also fortunately), I would likely be in the 10% paying out alimony if anything were to go sideways for me. I'm assuming its the vocal of that 10% that would complain, poor broke men were never concerned about alimony payments and would likely marry you on a whim.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 11:26 PM
-3

When people state marriage is dangerous for men, its more that DIVORCE is dangerous for men, and greatly benefits women (average). Even in a marriage that guarantees to last forever, I'm not sure if a man benefits more than a woman from that relationship.

I mean the extremely high divorce rate at least marriage doesn't mean what it used to anymore.

if he left you you'd still get child support (even unmarried). If he could avoid paying you that cause he's too broke, he's also too broke to pay you alimony. I don't feel like getting married before having children really provides you anymore protection...unless you think child support isn't enough and you'd like more of his paycheck.

Well in the good 'ol USA its a civil matter, so not a Rape...but this is all besides the point. Stealthing deals with a man stealthily removing a condom mid sex, not a woman trying to get pregnant unilaterally.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:25 PM

I found the post, is was a Drake + IG girl story, but I would assume was fake....hilarious tho. I did not know it had a name "stealthing" and would be considered rape. Short googl'n says that it's not a criminal offense but civil...so nothing like rape. And of course stealthing is targeted at men and when they stealthy removed the condom while having sex. Does not really account for "safe days" and taking the pill lies.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 12:02 AM

No, you could have consensual sex, but still steal sperm. Lying about being on the pill, damaging the condom, etc. There was even some cases where either a rapper or athlete would douse his used condoms in hot sauce or something to deter their questionable partners from introducing it post sex to baby trap them (this sounds so ridiculous you'd have to look it up to verify could have just been a joke).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 11:31 PM

Your joint account can be made part of a divorce claim, just like any other accounts you own. Unless you can prove the account was funded with non communal money. One benefit of a joint account is that you have full visibility into your partners finances. I'd rather not get to a large purchase and find out my wife doesn't have the money to help since she spent everything that hit her account.

If you are considering morals only, I think the pro life folks would have an easy argument for the moral high ground. Abortion is an action, unnatural one at that, so a choice. Pro lifers would argue conception = life (even just a bundle of cells). I think if you can prove some malicious intent on the woman's part to steal or trick the man, then you could also say its immoral.

My point is it hasn’t. You still need boots on the ground and front line soldiers. If your argument is majority of service people are drone pilots, then sure 50% active combat should be women. Otherwise draft women as well, find them jobs they can excel at. Imagine being in Ukraine, get shot as a 200lb man, and your squad is just women…the better than average woman isn’t carrying your 200lbs

100% you don’t want obese people in the trenches, on a submarine, on a boat, etc. I was not alive during the draft, I’m assuming men put on the front line were functioning and not riding handicap scooters. There are likely just as many obese women as men, and they should be excluded from the trenches. An Olympian athlete isn’t out running a drone or a bullet, doesn’t change the fact you want capable individuals next to you on the front line.

Your trash tier genes are unfortunately not desirable...are you arguing that the government should step in and assign you a mate? I agree society is promoting largely useless traits, pretty, handsome, tall, etc...where as good immune system, long life, smart, ingenuity and stable mental health should be the traits we hold most dear. But again we're…

You 100% have right to complain about whatever you want; but your right to societal empathy varies. "Wah" I was born with no fingers, super sad. "Wah" I didn't listen when they said stop playing with fireworks, a lot less empathy. Rejection is hard, I don't want to try VS i was born with deformations no one will look at me. large swaths of people not being able to pass on their genetic material is not really a problem (maybe as a mental issue as seen by incels and a population numbers issue). I'm telling you "good looking" men have always slummed it, even in real life. The booty call, the friends with benefits, the work wife, weekday dates, the last call, etc. I 100% agree its even lower effort now, but its also lower effort for all men to hit on and meet women. Women could get harem'd in real life as well as OLD and they can fairly easily avoid it in most cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 11:25 PM

If it can just as easily happen in real life, I wouldn't put additional blame on OLD. Women that believe they can change the person or fall for the halo effect will do so in real life as well, this is not an OLD problem. The only thing that OLD does is ease the barrier to entry of relationships, which means it has to do so to all forms of relationships. I've dated multiple women at the same time pre OLD, the only barrier is that you need to socialize regularly.

Don't read too much into it, these famous people aren't normally dating cause of thoughts, opinions, decisions, etc...Normally a PR stunt, or you are pretty and rich, and I am pretty and rich, why not? There might be some truth to your "blindness theory", but I would argue if the women didn't want to be a victim to this, its pretty easy. HVM in a bar/club can maybe get away with talking/dancing with a handful of women and traditionally only go home with 1 of them. In the online dating world, this is "kind of" the same. A HVM only has 1 fri night/1 sat night. If a guy is calling you at 11pm on fri, you are plan D, E, of F. If you make it to a date, and you refuse to round the bases until you ge…

I 100% married my wife because of the apps. I'm a huge proponent of dating apps, but understand there are a lot of bad actors, skepticism, and algorithms working against you. The apps provide large numbers and would not require serendipity to work out. While I'm not particularly shy, I only ever hitting on women in a social setting with liquid courage included. The chances of running into my wife or being introduced to her was basically 0 for us, so the app saved the day.

I think you'd represent the higher tier candidate on dating apps. if you aren't exaggerating and are saying you only swipe right on 5% of the women AND you get 2 dates a week. Are you also avoiding the snapchat/ig/hooker accounts? Most men would tell you they swipe with lower standards and get even fewer matches. I don't think "have a job" can really be considered high standards. Since more and more women have joined the workforce traditional wife/mom skills are on the decline. I think most modern men are willing to trade in cooking/cleaning ability for some economic stability. Also, men are definitely expected to pick up slack at home (which they should and I understand they don't always). Anecdotally, the 20 or so women I dated thru college into adulthood, maybe 1-2 could actually cook.

You can't really push female beauty standards on men, women did this to themselves. If women refused elective surgeries, make up, heels, etc men would still choose from the lvl playing field. My personal experience, women judge other women's beauty much harder than men. Demanding jobs/goals AND raising kids is definitely unfair, but I believe men and women are trying for a better balance. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of men and women that get cheated on in "committed" relationships didn't see it coming. Attraction is absolutely "negotiable". You are not born with an innate attraction to a certain type. Your attraction is very much molded by society. It is under your control to change what you are attracted to. We could promote a long courtship where sex is withheld. Even if we aren’t all the same height it’s still beneficial. I’d you could add a few inches to well out of your partner’s height +heels is already a huge benefit. Not all girls are chasing a made up 6ft number, some are just tall and would like a partner’s taller than them…this could potentially help. Costs could also just be preventative enough that you’d have to make sacrifices…some will, some won’t. HPRX would likely solve some issues at least in the near term

I think women likely go to therapy more than men because they've been shown from a young age to seek help. I grew up in the age of "boys don't cry", just pour some alcohol or iodine on it and go back outside, don't be a pssy (whatever other toxic tropes). I'm not sure on the measurable mental str of men vs women, but I believe men are less inclined to seek help or even talk about it.

I think women are given more support overall. Mental weakness more plays into the traditional gender role that women are weaker/precious/to be cared for. I feel women are treated better by their parents, partners, potential partners, other women (at least outwardly). There is no stigma for women/girls needing help, while i believe before the 2000s men/boys weren't the same. I didn't look for other stats, but women attend therapy TWICE as much as men.

We're discussing if women are more interested in status itself, or the money that comes with status. You can't compare the doctor before he actually becomes a doctor (and has the status). There is an entire subculture of women doing this...gold diggers, sugar babies, etc. Even regular women tend to want to marry someone financially stable and can provide for the family. OP didn't claim the guy was "ugly" just average, while his ability to provide is his most appealing quality (I'm assuming not just a few bucks more).

I'll give it a read. I definitely don't agree with religion having anything to do with the US government and its laws/ideals. Aside from the religious aspect, there is some merit to when is it a fetus, bundle of cells, potential life, etc etc. The idea to protect a helpless life form even if its inside another seems to have merit and shouldn't just be easily discarded as religious and antiquated. They could always pass abortion as a law, as opposed to giving the justices the ability to create la…

Easy to say, hard to do, as it violates our core biological needs. The real problem is the supposed top 10% of men taking more of the supply. Men with multiple partners, wives, divorces, body count, etc. Or women, not finding it absolutely important to only have forever partner and choosing better. Women with body count, divorced, children out of wedlock, etc. Fixing either of these supply/demand imbalances while likely very hard, would have actual impact on having more of the population in a re…

That's an extremely tough proposition...mainly cause dating apps goals and your personal goals do not align. They are only interested in your continued engagement and eventual desperation to invest money into their service. With that said, I met my wife on a dating app. While I believe it really works and is the better version of dating, I also see many of its abuses and short comings

Do you believe its because you are both too unattractive? too poor? too old? From anecdotal evidence, sounds like most of those things are non factors if either of you really wanted to move on. Sounds like a sad life, but there are some cultures that treat marriage as a business proposition...I think the Indian culture and their arranged marriages are like this (aside from the one that become passionate). I empathize with you, not sure what I'd do if I were in that position...hope you can work i…

I don't think roe v wade was overturned to produce more worker...we have immigration to do that. Roe v Wade was overturned due to its illegal nature of existence (at least that's what was explained to me). Rather than passing a law that strictly allows abortion, they cited a woman's right to privacy as to the reason why an abortion should be protected. I don't think your statement is 100% accurate. If you are washing your face, keeping facial hair kept, hair cut, hitting the gym, eating right, dressing well, nice car, good job, etc...I feel like the general public would support this (men included). The haters probably come thru when ppl go beyond the "standard". I'm a huge proponent for dating apps. I met my wife on a dating app a few years ago (biased). Dating in most forms are competitive for men. I don't believe there are lower quality ppl on OLD. Literally everyone I know (friends/coworkers) have had some experience on them. That's akin to saying only whores go to bars/clubs. As a high earning partner, i think you should be arguing that your poorer partners pick up the slack either in the house or the bank accounts. Rather than arguing for a 50/50 split of chores.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/22 08:02 PM
2

You are 4x more valuable as the market dictates. How hard your work is, how tired you are, etc are all very subjective...what the world will pay you is objective. The lower wage partner should always value the higher wage person and if they need to throw in a few more of their hours into chores, then so be it. how can you demand a partner make 6figures (or more than you) to enter a relationship, only to then consider their higher pay as equal to your hours once you are in a relationship.

Making your own money and affording life is different. If the higher wage affords you a better house, better things, better vacations, earlier/better retirement, etc. Then i feel 100% making x2 should be valued over housework.

Dating would be more fair if more women had your view, but I think you are in the minority. From experience and friends, women will let men pay for at least the first date (regardless of interest). The EZ cop out solution is befriend everyone (of every gender) as they both provide positives to your life. If we are only speaking on the terms of meeting mates, both provide different advantages to that endeavor. If you only had to choose 1 (why?) or choose the most advantageous, I would claim only male friends > only women friends. I’m more arguing for a maximum amount. If you can afford it give more, great. Ppl advise getting thousands for child support while not actually spending it on the child. There should be very rare cases where limited or sole custody awarded if both parents want to be involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/22 01:03 AM

This could have the unforeseen effect of pushing more ppl onto social welfare. If parents agreed together to bring a child into the world, divorce occurs later in life, the wealthier/working parent should be on the hook for child support. I believe child support should be limited to a minimum amount for living, not an arbitrary % of the wealthier's income.

Never been in a relationship or had sex? I feel like you shouldn't worry about any of this stuff until you are actually jaded by your real life dating experiences. The girls you are trying to avoid, would likely naturally avoid you as well, unless you are incredibly handsome, tall, rich.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/22 11:32 PM

The size of the women doesn't really matter much. All that matters is the size of your competition. If majority of men are short and you are short as well, women are not going to just abstain from relationships, they will just choose the best of what is available. As it stands, in all countries, the avg woman is shorter than the avg man, so this shouldn't even be a problem. Its only that tall men exist in your city, and they would rather try to date them than date a shorter man.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/22 10:52 PM

I’m sure it’s both. No one is picking someone that repulses then just do their buddies will be jealous. In fact the whole idea of trophy wife for status is likely rare, only for the top 5% of society
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 08:51 PM

I mean that’s what a trophy is, does nothing, stands there, signals to everyone and yourself you did a thing. If they have jobs, contribute to society, keep a home, they aren’t just a trophy…they are in fact a partner and a proper wife (doesn’t mean they have to look like a dog)
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 08:16 PM

I mean that is exactly what a "trophy wife" is. You are excluding tall, blond with fake tits, but that is just taste. Why would you think its a Black or Asian man trolling? If it really is harder for blk women to date (even interracially), then its because white males also will not date them. As white males make up the majority of the male dating market in the US.

Yea, if you won't date out, blk women would have a increasingly hard time finding a partner. blk males would roughly make 13% of the males in the US. Between the women that claim housewife is the most important job to the "boss babes" that make no money in failing IG influencer "careers", MLM shenanigans, or run of the mill admin positions... The attitude is gonna come anyway, might as well have someone help bring financial stability to your life.

I'm very interested in having a partner that is financially literate and has a career that is stable and makes decent coin (my wife). My thoughts are the world is getting increasingly more and more costly to live in and sudden unemployment could potentially wipe out an entire family. Additionally, its nice to introduce your wife with a respectable career. I do not think I would be against dating a women who is more well off than I am...as I am no earning slouch myself...though I have never dated…

I haven't used bumble for quite some time now, but they did allow ppl to list their body type (which is slightly more accurate then weight, also highly subjective). I'm assuming there were filters for that as well. body count would be wholey inaccurate anyway. Everyone lies. I always tell girls a lower number to not seem as whorish (tho that is not the male norm).

Iono about ruining a family...sure in those times you weren't likely to be able to marry her off again, but your daughter would be back in your household to be another set of hands working. Also, you got to keep the dowery. Her child could be another male worker or another woman to dowery off? I really have no idea how it all worked then, that's just what I would logically perceive. This is probably doesn't work once ppl were past the farmer/home business stages. if you got back a single mother …

I don't know if they cared to "trust" them to do anything. A woman from more than 100 years ago was treated like livestock. You traded them to get a better dowry. What was good for her was never considered...other than if they could get max dowry, then at least the man's family proved it could provide at least that much.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/22 05:39 PM

Maybe so, but if I ever have a daughter i'll attempt to pass on the lesson. I guess in fairness we should teach both sides to be better. Men are still told to crush everything you can cause biology. If we teach our sons to be better, expect better for themselves. Maybe they won't give the "thots" etc the time of day...if men only compete for women at their level, women will clearly have to readjust their expectations.

I'll agree there are fewer female gym rats. I do see plenty of women on yoga, stair masters, cardio equip, etc as they are mistakenly afraid of lifting thinking they'll bulk up with their non existent testosterone. Most odd diet fads have women doing a variety of crash diets or random trash products. While caloric intake is lower, there are far less men eating ice chips and super low calorie diets. I would argue the "avg" man and the "avg" woman will spend similar amounts of time in the gym. Whi…

The pendulum is just swinging, I believe it'll eventually land on what you perceive as fair eventually. Dating/marriage was largely unfair for women in the past as their choices were regularly made by their fathers or by some socioeconomic pressure. I mean even in the past there are more cultures where it was normal to have multiple wives rather than multiple husbands. Given women's equality, economic means, and sexual freedom, they are now most definitely the market makers and in the driver's s…

Concerned not really, low birth rates (of high quality stock) are a more serious societal problem, I don't see partner musical chairs really effecting our society as a whole. Decreasing divorce rates; As a society we could more judgmental of divorces. Like the other poster said, empathy...but also selfish reasons. I may have a son one day, and would feel really uneasy for him if he were on the shorter side. If your goal as a woman is mate for life, someone posted a study that found short men stay married longer (tho they get married later, maybe cause their pool doesn't open up until the late 30s). Well, what you are doing is wildly inefficient. There are what 100k - millions of men in your region...you have to time to painstakingly review each profile to get a match?! If not height, you must want to filter out some aspects. until you can produce some statistic that shows a counter to this, this is the best evidence we can use for this discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/22 09:51 PM

Hopefully some app would be able to fix this disparity. Its a tough problem to solve since dating apps likely profit from itself not working too well...as keeping engagement up and return users are likely their main goals.

You don't even have to be a "height queen". Avg woman is 5'4 and avg women buy heels 3in+. Can we agree a large majority of women would want to date a taller man (there are many studies on this). It is not the statistical norm, nor is that stopping women on OLD. There is the stat that on tinder women pass on 95% of the men. At least in dating, women set the market standards. I have never not hired or befriended a man purely on their height alone. IRL does likely work better since you can just rock tims or lifts! and you are likely right, when you are face to face 5'9 v 5'11 is not much of a difference when you are 5'2. But only meeting through random interactions, friends, organizations, etc is really limiting your possible dating pool. My wife and I do not run in the same circles and without OLD we are never likely to meet (also, she's never given/taken a number of a stranger).

The APP is getting closer to what real life is. Even my co-workers in the younger generation use the app for dating and have found many multi month, multi year partners through it. Its not argue per se, its more of a discussion. I bring her some of these sub cultures from the internets and she doesn't have the same empathy I do with the potential male struggles. Also, we met on OLD, so her insight from the other perspective seems worthwhile as opposed to the circle jerk that occurs in 1 sided communities. You've never had a discussion with your partner about things that don't directly affect you?

shiiit, he can't reach the bar anyway (i joke i joke....i feel really bad for the under 5'8 men. If I'm blessed with a child and they so happen to be a short male, I'd be very worried)

I mean i stated that in the post...so I am honest? Also, you'd consider the person actually paying for the service as the most serious users and could represent the whole of the population (mind you not everyone). Like they say, vote with your dollars.

Don't be depressed! Even having access to 5% of the women is still a lot of warm bodies? Also, I have friends in the 5'7 range; they have experience women killing convos after hearing this, but they still get reasonable dates and prospects. The number of times they make it to a in person date isn't grossly lower than mine were.

I have not seen stats; but I would tend to agree with you. Just like club cover charges women aren't paying. I believe OLD makes most of their money on men, but for the one that do use it, could you extrapolate their data across the entirety as a general public desire? I believe this used to be a free feature. Also, with women getting huge number of matches they could use this to filter men out quicker so they have less matches to manage. Having too many matches seems like a good problem to have…

I've never seen the filter myself, I'm assuming it allows you to pick both a max and minimum and most users lazily just pick the minimum. Considering the number of 7ft in America, they likely aren't running into a bunch of giants forcing them to filter out ahead of time. Some claim the avg height of women is 5'4. i could really see issues for men south of 5'8 considering women do like to wear heels and would likely want to still be same or shorter than their partner.

All you want is a generic thin woman? That sounds easy enough for any male of most body types. Perhaps its more due to your locale. if you are from some small 1 horse town, where everyone eats standard American food and there's really nothing to do outside, then I could believe majority of women are on the heavy set side. Sadly, maybe move to a area where body image is more important?

I personally think men have it easier in the later stages (if they focused on their career) of life while women have it MUCH easier in the beginning stages. The rub is we mostly have the desire/hope to be successfully paired off before we get into the stages that men have the advantage. if men get into their advantaged years, likely mid 30s and later...the available women are seen to have lower value by that time. Maybe already divorced, children, "run thru", etc. (I know this isn't always true,…

If she is a professional in her 30s as well, would we assume they are also "semi successful"? If that is the case, then you can fully gauge the financial reward to this pairing. By 30 you have a good idea of their current earnings and earning potential. You could ask about the debts they carry and their handling of basic finances. They would more likely have lived independently and not on daddy's dime. I really see no downsides. Marrying a younger person would only introduce many financial downs…

Humans do love conditionally, I think that's what love actually is. You are making a choice to do so, where as your dog isn't wired that way. If you gave me your dog, I'm sure they would be loyal to me in a couple years as well. Then in said burning building scenario, they might run to me instead of you, who knows. I love dogs, I think they're the best, but don't get it twisted like they really have all that much choice to "love" you. Just like pets who end up eating their owners....tho that mig…

The company of a dog is just an easy mode (fake) relationship. They are pack animals and you are the defacto pack leader. They don't actually "love" us and it isn't a replacement for actual human interaction. Basically, Stockholm syndrome. With that said, I too love dogs and how they seem to "love" us as well.

Its not simply projection. While I've done it as well to girls, I know more than a handful of girls that have done the same. It seems/feels wrong, but its exactly how a dating market works. You only have so much time, dating isn't an actual relationship so the majority of ppl are feeling out multiple prospects. People will generally gravitate to the possible better option. The other options get ghosted, if you are a better person you explicitly tell them its not gonna work out, but I'm sure more…

You played the game and you lost. All you can do is try again and maybe not fall so easily to potentially better prospects...or try to date both till you get a better idea.

I can't agree with you. I'm making the assumption that these men you are talking about are not beating off the women (1-5) while being lonely pining for the 8+. I've never heard the avg man complaining that they are swimming in below avg p***y, but the struggle is real trying to get that dime piece. I would like to think their struggle is real, the dating market is not in their favor, etc. with that said tho, as unfair as it might be, that is the game and rules we have in place. They should get …

I agree with you. This is all well and good until the women starts a "men ain't shit" rant, or some woe it me vomit post that all men are boys and trash. If she knows the game, gets the transactions she wants and doesn't care to start a relationship, more power to her!! Likely it'll be other women that actually hate her.

Your experience definitely counts. I feel for you, you are not crazy, being 5'3 really does affect you dating ability. You definitely have to work much harder to attract women than similar situated men at 5'8. OP's post still has merit, but you have a slightly different problem.

My 20s I met girls in bars/clubs or through friends of friends. I've gone on dates from online dating. The woman I've married I met through online dating, we met in our 30s. I am by no means a "Chad". Online dating DOES work, but I agree with you that many of the people are abusing its design. Don't be discouraged, you will just have to continue to grind on it (swich apps as new ones become more popular). I've heard the algos penalize you if you are swiping too indiscriminately. Just avoid the c…

No, I'm the man that makes more money and does the "harsher" work, while my girl does the more constant cooking, laundry, etc. I've had gf's in the past expect me to do 50% of all the housework, since she worked as well, but I found that wasn't "fair" since they were discrediting how much utility my work gained the family (in dollars) also how dirty the work I did do.

I agree with you, the theoretically dying for you argument is weak and baseless. I am personally in this situation myself in these relationships. While I slack on the day to day work, I do find myself with the brunt of the "nastier" (much less often) work. Clogged sink, clogged shower, cleaning the kitchen hood, cleaning the stove, mopping the floors, washing the cars, changing oil, brakes, fixing random stuff, as well as making way more money. Would you find this as valid arguments for division…

If you have ghetto hood rat taste, but belong to a higher socioeconomic class, you are more than welcome to date down. Much like every athlete or anyone "making it" would still be attracted to the examples of ppl who they grew up around or watched in media. As I see it, there are a few reasons why CS nerds don't pull as much as their eccon would suggest (I am a cs nerd). Most people do not know that on avg cs engineers make more than some doctors, lawyers, bankers, business owners. So stating yo…

Sure men will likely imply that if you won't date them, you may be personally attacking some facet of their being. Sometimes women would be so callous as to directly tell them they are too short, too poor, too unsightly, too out of shape, etc. I'm of the mindset it is what it is, and you just need to play the game better, but it might be easier for me to say since I get mine and by objective standards i'm supposed to be desirable. I do empathize with the incels and the below avg man...life is re…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 07:22 PM

This is a clown argument. How can you compare murder, which are committed by a very small % of men, to how the majority of civilized men and women do actually act towards one another? Are you arguing that you should get a pass to do whatever you'd like to men, as long as it falls short of murder?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/21 06:42 PM

Perhaps, it's an "us vs them" mentality. Or when men do it in person, its done as a teachable moment or to make light of the situation. Outside of rallies and a annon msg board, men generally do not verbally attack women. A stranger is not my friend and would illicit a very negative response if i were attacked regardless of gender. Maybe simply, a straight man isn't trying to lay with another man, so when they are insulted by a man you should take it as your "brother" helping you get on lvl. Whe…

Like many have stated, ppl have sex to procreate...it is hardwired into our biology to reproduce for the survival of a species. You've stated that if that is indeed true, why are so many ppl not having children. I believe the issue is that society has influenced 1/2 that equation. We still have a desire to have sex to satiate our animalistic desires...but we've come up with various birth control methods. Society has made the pressures of raising a child much more costly than in the past. Where h…

I have a bit of personal exp in this. I've run into quite a few women with pretty low paying careers, with little ambition to move up, and coupled with the inability/desire to be a stellar homemaker. We fought quite a bit, esp since I'm a much higher earning individual with much more ambition. The likely outcome of a 2 income house is that there should be equally split home duties. Most take for granted that you make 100k+, and consider the 40hrs they spend making 40k should be treated as equal …

As group C type person, once you find that person you wanna explore a future with, you have to have the "exclusive talk". If we're willing to label it, then I we're in a exclusive monogamous relationship. In your case, if you are serious about the person and ready to sleep with them, maybe you should have the conversation first to see if they feel the same. If you are just in the "kicking the tires" phase, you can't demand that they do not continue to explore their options.

I'm not sure about easier...we still live in a world where its generally easier for a woman to get a lay than a man. We have no idea about the quality of the hypothetical man in this situation.
