Anyone else tired of how modern age movies heavily portray the dad or husband as an incompetent idiot?I have found that watching older eastern European and Balkan movies with English subtitles is a nice change. | /r/MensRights | 09/08/25 12:13 AM
Wife leaving to possibly live in another country. Not to burst your bubble but sounds like there is a third party involved. Go get a hobby, bjj works really well for me and focus hard on work and your future. It’s hard at first but it gets better. | /r/Divorce_Men | 27/10/24 10:57 PM
Stbxw graduates uni todayGet two hobbies. One very challenging and one relaxing, try to do them as often as possible. I chose bjj and fishing. Bjj made me feel like I was about to die but showed me I could survive while building a community of people I could trust enough not to kill me and fishing allowed me to relax and master a skill that could be so rewarding and I could even cook the fish I caught (I love to cook). It only took me a short time to realize how happy I was without her and gave me the confidence to find… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/06/24 05:10 PM

Go work out they say…Ahh okay, understood. I can relate. I don’t like picking up heavy things to set them down so I chose to do jiu jitsu. I enjoy the problem solving aspect and I get a physical work out from it in the process maybe you could enjoy something like this instead. It’s rather humbling too. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/24 02:54 PM
Go work out they say…I don’t think he is shaming you, I think he is telling you that you’re right, don’t do it for them, do it for you. I hate the gym too, it’s not about going because you enjoy it, it’s about going to push yourself and to do things that are hard and pushing yourself in a way that is physical instead of mental. But maybe working out isn’t for you and you could find another outlet but most men find satisfaction through physical work, especially when it’s hard. I wish you the best in life going forwar… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/24 02:22 PM
My wifeDon’t walk, RUN. You’ll be happier without her, she has already left the relationship and is most likely seeing another man already.. she used you, don’t do her any favors. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/01/24 03:18 AM
Hard day brothers...Maybe boxing would be a good place to start, at the begging you’ll be on the bags a lot. I’m unsure of how moving your legs for kicking would affect your back. Generally speaking, bjj is pretty low impact sport. I had some issues I was worried about but once I got in there I discovered it was a non issue for me. Just remember, tap early and tap often. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 02:36 AM
Hard day brothers...I went from a very dark place to feeling like a new man and I have not gone back to that place since. Glad you’ve had similar success 🙏🏼 | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 12:56 AM
Hard day brothers...I mean, I usually go with a 1:1 bjj to bbbj ratio. Your preference may vary. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 12:36 AM
Hard day brothers...I’m going to be harsh for a second, stop feeling bad for yourself and go get into a BJJ, boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, kick boxing or wrestling. Push yourself further than you ever have.. get humbled.. just fight to stay alive on those mats. It’ll change your life. It makes everything else easier. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 12:28 AM
Hard day brothers...Get into a hobby. I highly recommended BJJ. The first time a stepped on the mat, all the bad feelings went away. After a few days it was like she didn’t exist and my life improved. I can’t recommend it enough. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/23 12:24 AM
Any men on here who are finally fully healed, but didn’t sufficiently heal for at least 2-3 years after separation / divorce? There is always risk off injury. Just role with people who go easy and explain your injury so the can be more easy on those areas. Tap early, tap often. You’ll survive. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/12/23 05:18 PM

Planning on divorcing my wife... horrified by the fact that I will be single for a long timeIf you go there and just get with some calm guys that are high level belts and tell them you have to go easy because of your issue, you’ll probably find some great people that will work with you 👍🏼 | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/11/23 01:18 AM
Planning on divorcing my wife... horrified by the fact that I will be single for a long timeGet a hobby. I took up Brazilian jiu jitsu and it completely changed my life. I stepped on the mat for the first time and it was like the world and all of its complications completely disappeared. I’ve never taken an antidepressant but it’s the best natural one I have ever encountered in my life and and I’d recommend it to anyone, also a great place to build new friendships 🙏🏼 good luck and god speed. You will get through it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/10/23 10:10 PM
