I took this to mean he’s trying to move into this shared apartment. As in, this is basically a tenancy interview. I could be wrong. Anyway, bringing booze might be weird if that’s the case.

That’s my interpretation, yes.

He didn’t say he doesn’t fuck the other women. He’s just saying it’s not “cheating” because he is following the rules that he and his wife have set up for their relationship.

For sure, and I'm well aware of that. But frankly, that's the way like 90% of chicks operate. And lots of men too. Why would you give up comfort and security and sex unless you see a better option? I'm not like that one bit, but I can actually understand the logic. So fuck it, I'll see what happens.

In reality, I didn't come on to her very strong at all. It was clear she wanted to break away, and if anything she pursued me. And like I said, judging by the comments of everyone close to her, it was a long time coming.

I am with a girl right now who I "stole away" from her ex-bf. We never went on dates or had sex while they were together but the groundwork was* definitely laid and there was very little transition time. Frankly, we both think we're perfect for each other, and a much better match than her previous relationship - as echoed by her friends, her parents, etc. I still have that suspicious feeling that I'll lose her in much the same way... but whatever, it's good for now. Lots of people won't leave un…

This can actually work. People here won't like this answer, but from experience, yes, you can actually tell the truth but just don't dwell on any boring subject for too long.

All very good points, but you must also understand and note the difference between nice guy and "nice guy". You can be confident, genuine, spontaneous, as well as nice. And you touched on it by saying that "nice guys" aren't nice to ugly girls. As in, scumbag nice guys. I struggled with being the literal meaning of a nice guy for a long time, and by that I mean I spoke my mind, was confident and outgoing - I failed in that I never escalated. I actually did get girls attracted to me, I just never…

Honestly, I don't know, because I am not a professional. I have no background in psychology or anything, and I am only marginally successful with women as it is. But just a short time ago I was terrible with women. All I know is that's what I did and it improved my own self-worth drastically. Then I realized afterward that it was the change in mentality that was the most important change, not so much the change in appearance (though I'm not stupid enough to say that didn't play a role too). Now …

In what way does it defeat itself? EDIT: The gist: confidence is the only thing that matters. If you have low self-esteem based on your own evaluation of your looks, you have to trick yourself into gaining confidence by taking whatever measures you can to improve your appearance. The point remains - you DO NOT need to be good looking to pick up women. You need confidence. But if YOU place so much emphasis on your own looks that it prevents you from doing anything, the only way you'll gain confid…

Alright, this is the comment that hit me hardest. So here goes. Seriously, chin up man. It seems like you may have some sort of mental issues. And I'm not being a dick, I'm dead serious. You should look into getting help if you have such a defeatist attitude towards your endeavours with women. Perhaps a psychiatrist, but maybe even a personal seduction mentor would be of more value (think of Will Smith in "Hitch" - even if its just a friend you know who is good with women.). Anyway, with that as…

Apparently the guy lives in Seattle. Must be a different UW there. By the way, where is this hot-girl-central to which you refer?

I've been in a situation lately where I can't drink - pretty serious digestive issues. I've been crushing lemon waters at the bar/parties and typically nobody asks what's in the glass. If at any point it comes up, I simply say it's for health reasons and enthusiastically say that "I FEEL GREAT" because of it - which is actually true. I'm 22, and often hang out with people up to 30 years old, and I feel at this point people are becoming more accepting of others not drinking their faces off. I've …

Thanks for the reply! I think in this case the most important factor - and it is always the most important factor - was your obvious stench of confidence. You feel good with the weight loss and people can just sense it. Again, congratulations! I hope to hear more follow up - but some more detailed explanations of what you are doing to get these girls so horned up wouldn't hurt! ;)

That is sweet and happy Canada Day from a fellow 'Nuck. I also got laid that night! High five! But realistically this was pretty devoid of useful tactics. As always, DGAF (seriously cannot be overstated) but besides that it seems you were hooked up hard and essentially just had to not fuck it up. Are you, by conventional standards, physically attractive? This could have made all the difference, as frankly, I think a lot of people are just trying to fuck somebody good-looking on the long weekend.

As a Canadian, I can confirm this. Tonsil hockey > hockey. But just barely.

Well done. I don't think playing pong with your friend was a bad move at all. Sometimes it's good to leave a little space IF you're already doing well with her that night. Then when you get back to her, she's excited about it and hopefully thinks you are cooler than the several guys who probably tried to talk to her while you were apart. Also, I salute your musical tastes. BK's + AF > Bjork. But whatever works.

To be fair it really wasn't that obvious. In any case, his reply is dead on.

Totally agree. It wasn't clear at all. I thought the ellipsis would help but it really could have been taken either way.

No confusion here, it's just the use of the word hardon that cracked me up.

This is all solid stuff, but oh man, I lost it at "let her feel your hardon through your pants."

Meticulously shave pubes before 'Big Night' - don't even touch a girl. Don't shave for weeks - get suck-fuck at a small gathering.
