My boyfriends dad is a total HVM. He was telling me about how when his wife got pregnant, he hired a full time house cleaner and maids to make healthy meals so she could relax, eat well, and exercise before giving birth. He also bought her an incredibly expensive piece of jewelry after each child she gave birth to as a thank you for sacrificing her body for 9 months and beyond. They’ve been together 30 years and are still totally in love.

Same! I don’t keep track exactly but every few weeks my BF pays for me to get my nails done, and we split the cost of my hair appointments since me looking good benefits both of us. I’m trying to convince him to pay for laser hair removal for me since I’ve always wanted it 😂 He also buys me makeup when I ask, although I don’t use a ton of it. He makes more than me and has no issue with this because he knows it makes me happy.

This always cracks me up! Like, do you own land? Do you have a title? Have you accomplished anything significant in your life worthy enough to pass down to the next generation? Odds are it’s a no to all of them. Pure narcissism.

Ive only been dating my bf for about six months, and obvi im still vetting, but I’ll mention some of the stuff he does. He is able to fully communicate without raising his voice and he has never once insulted me. He also knows I have bad dreams often and wake up in the middle of the night, so he sets his phone on do not disturb except for me and if I call he answers immediately regardless of the time. He never makes me feel like a burden for doing this even if it keeps him up late. He’s also sup…

I saw this on Instagram and the comments were split, but to me that’s progress. A lot of men in the comments were like “porn wasn’t the reason he cheated” and defending porn and a lot of women were like “look at all these porn addicts in the comments trying to defend themselves” and got a lot of likes. I think more and more women are realizing how fucked up it is.

Met him while studying abroad. I’m not a fan of long distance, but I had plans to move to his country anyway to pursue my masters before I met him so we’re making it work until next month when I can move there after getting vaccinated. I feel like covid was good for both of us since it gave us the time to slow down and really get to know each other before jumping into anything. I loved how generous he was with his family and how he loved to hear me talk about my accomplishments. When lockdown hi…

I am still 100% vetting since it’s only been a little over 6 months, but a few things that really stand out for me are •marriage minded, he sees himself settling down in the next 3-5 years (I am still in college and he just graduated so we are still young) •good with money + generous. He just graduated and is going to start working in finance. He has offered to help me budget since I am going to grad school next year and has been teaching me about financial literacy (really wish I learned this f…

I met him when I was studying abroad, and in his culture men work harder to impress women. Sometimes I’ll talk about my day and mention things I like, and I swear he remembers everything and will usually get it for me in the next few months. He also gets me cute stuff he sees on tik tok, like the reversible octopus. With regards to beauty stuff, he is a little clueless but his childhood best friend owns a successful makeup/ skincare company and helps him pick out products that I would like. I ho…

Oh I have some good ones!! The same record, twice in a row. As in he forgot he got me that record for my birthday, and then got it for me for Valentine’s Day. The kicker was I already owned that record so I now have three copies of the same record. A giftcard that he had regifted to me. It was $20 for a restaurant I’d never been to over an hour away and had no intention of ever going to. My ex “tried” to be thoughtful by ordering a blanket with my favorite band logo on it, but he was stupid enou…

I lived in Chile last year and went to the women’s March on international women’s day in Santiago and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. There were no men allowed at the March, and I can’t even explain how amazing and safe I felt being surrounded by over a million strong women marching for a better future.

I remember like two years ago I was talking to my ex about what he was getting his family for Christmas and he seemed... baffled by my question... apparently not once in his entire life had he bought a single Christmas present for any of his family or friends.... he was 21. It didn’t last long after that....

After my last bf and I broke up I made sure to block him on everything. We broke up over a year ago cause he cheated and would try to message me on one of our shared google docs. I even had to block him on venmo and last week I get a payment for $1 from HIS LITTLE BROTHER’S VENMO saying he missed me and wanted to talk. Im dating someone else and don’t think about him at all anymore. The audacity of these men I s2g

I usually block and then delete the number. Make sure to block on everything. One step that people aren’t talking about is being kind to yourself! Like you’re gonna feel shitty for a few days so plan some nice stuff to distract you and keep you busy. You got this.

I didn’t exactly clarify that it was a date but yeah that does make a lot of sense. I’m gonna give it a week or so I think. He did just put in his two weeks at his current job so they’re working him a lot.

I’m not sure if I should wait a little longer though. I’ve only really hung out with him once outside of my party.
