Good post OP. I have been down a similar path. I realized that girls I had "chemistry" with were highly narcissistic/avoidant/bpd/unavailable and despite never had been your typical "nice guy" in other areas of my life I would tend to be with them. Be careful with the temporary way of life, it's not for everyone and can be lonely. Being grateful is what I struggle the most with. Driven people usually are wired to constantly look back on past mistakes or focus on what needs to be improved, which is probably what makes them successful in the first place, by learning from those past experiences and striving to better themselves. But that can lead to depression or anxiety if unchecked. Hard to balance out.
