Lol simmer down, big guy. You basically restated the point that I was already making: The data is based on self-report and is, therefore only as reliable as the responses given. So, since we know that self report surveys tend to have performance bias (the respondent being influenced by the knowledge that someone will evaluate their response), and the study does not appear to have taken measures to buffer the effect of PB on the data, the accuracy and reliability of the study is questionable. The…

Yes and no - the CDC extrapolated a lot of good analysis from the data (the focus was sexual behavior and relationship with STD prevalence). That said, the only way to get the data was self-report, since we do not have car fax report for our nether regions (lol). They could have combated performance bias by asking the # of partners question a few different ways, throughout the survey, or by asking questions that provide the n-count as secondary feedback (thereby reducing the likelihood of the re…

Just read the article; the data is based on self-report surveys (anonymous, but you almost always have a performance bias in self report - and there didn't seem to be any validity checks built in to combat this). So, in all likelihood, males were inflating their n-count, while female respondents were deflating; as seen in day-to-day interpersonal dynamics. So yes, the data says males have 3x more sexual partners, but the validity and accuracy of the data is highly suspect. Just my $0.02

This. She's counting on you backing down at the first sign of oppression. Write the paper, and follow the writing prompt guidelines to the letter (disregard her bullshit verbal guideline of keeping women's issues first). If she has any issues, have you parents back you up, and escalate to the necessary level to outweigh her personal bias. I dealt with a similar issue in highschool, and addressed it in a similar fashion. Toe the line, but make sure you're within bounds of the writing prompt. By d…

Lol, first and foremost, you need to simmer down, and let shit roll off. As a fellow late-bloomer (now 29, usually pass for 21-22); it's all a matter of perception and how you let (or refuse to let) things affect your frame. People rarely think before speaking, and most people are more socially awkward than they let on; the standard go-to is attempted humor, with an underlying minor shit test, to see what you're made of (especially among males). Overreacting and being butthurt does you no favors…

These three pieces of art, coming together to create a once-in-a-lifetime masterpiece, is the pinnacle of the human existence. It's all downhill from here, ladies and gents.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
