We should outlaw penises, then there wouldn't be anymore mass rapes.

These sorts of things always make me ask myself certain questions... Is a boob offensive? Is a vagina offensive? Is everyone boob or vagina shown in a pornographic context? Is every penis shown in a pornographic context? Is offending someone allowed in a society where there is free speech?

I'd agree, except only two people were arrested. Apparently, watching it, allowing it to continue, then posting pictures of it on instagram aren't being considered criminal activity by the prosecutor.

Self fulfilling prophecy is a powerful thing. If you treat a kid like he is smart, capable and independent, he typically turns out that way. If you treat men that they can't control themselves if women don't cover up and can't be blamed if they rape them, guess what happens? This is how it is in some places. Is this the culture we want to impart upon future generations? Is this what you teach your young sons? I hope not. I hope we are teaching our children that all life should be respected... me…

I apologize for bees, if I am caring for a toddler that gets stung. I am sorry that people get raped. I am sorry that people starve to death. I am sorry that my government tortures innocent people. See the difference from what you are saying? Shit happens and I wish it didn't. I have sympathy and empathy for victims of terrible things. I am sorry for them.

Everyone has some sort of communal responsibility. The reason nearly every problem in the world exists in society is exactly because of your kind of attitude.

I am on the fence with what you say. In general, seddit can overcomplicate things, but the guiding principles are fairly simple. here are a few things I think everyone in seddit should know. It doesn't matter if you are a good guy or a bad guy. Bars are the worst places to meet people. In order to build confidence, find something you like to do and become very good at it. Tap into your passion. It will overflow into the rest of your life. Being able to invoke an emotional response in people is w…

At 16, you do not have the tools to deal with your own depression, let alone someone else's. You may be able to relate and commiserate, but there is so much to it, that you do yourself and her an injustice by trying to work through it on your own. With some depression comes a natural amount of introspection. This is why it seems the depressed kids are often more mature, but the truth is that isn't a strength. You need to be a kid. You need to build of those defenses and part of that process is b…

I just make it clear that I stay busy. I actually do stay busy and constantly do cool stuff. I try to maintain a meaningful relationship and an open line of communication, but I don't let any one girl monopolize my time. It always has to get somewhat serious, at some point. Then, you break away and let them cool off. When you let them back in, just make sure it is on your terms.

The best way to handle this is to have a plan and some back up plans. Good ideas, always, every time you go out. If you are just meeting for drinks, you better have the next place in mind, already, and it better be good. Then, to another place. Then, to your place (or hers). If she says she can't stay long, just say, "Too bad. Guess I'll have to find someone else to use this extra Toots & the Maytals ticket at the Belly Up Tavern. They put on an amazing show."

I am of the opinion that you can have any girl you want who you evoke a strong emotional response from. The stronger your ability to evoke emotion in a girl, the less your looks matter.

This is pretty much what I thinking, but I was too lazy to post. good job. Personally, I wouldn't change much about my time, then. I took full advantage of the fact that most guys don't move with enough speed or confidence, just like in high school, only more chicks are dtf. Constantly do cool shit and invite everyone. Be a leader. This needs to be emphasized. I invited TAs and professors whenever I could. Social networking on the Internet is a poor, poor substitute for doing it in real life. He…

If you are reading this and didn't already have it figured out in high school, you have a lot of catching up to do. Upgrope. This should be helpful to the kiddies. Don't attempt to penetrate until she is as wet as can be. Doing it right, means she will be coming back for more.

You don't have to have sex in a bed. You can screw in public, in the wilderness, on the beach (be careful of sand), on planes, trains and in cars. The sky is the limit. Also, nothing wrong with letting a girl pay you to get married for a year or two for citizenship. Rescuing someone from a shitty country is kind of noble. Just do it before you have any assets.

I don't try to bang every girl. I just assume they want to. Every woman wants to be seduced. When I see one I like, I go for it. Pretty much, all women are a sure thing. If you fail, it is because of you, not because of her. Sure, some may be a lot more work than others, but I disagree that a woman in a relationship is automatically more work. It has been my experience that they are very often less work.

A lot of quality women are already taken. There are a number of benefits to hooking up with women in secret. It adds to the excitement, they are less maintenance, and most of the good women are already taken. If you want a great girl, you may very well have to steal her away. I disagree that there is no reason to pursue meaningful relationships with women who are in relationships. In my humble experience, the success rate per attempt is about the same. Plus, they are going to break up with dude,…

I'm in my 30s. Even when I was young, as soon as I had my license, I was up and down the coast of California, constantly. I have forever been in the grips of wanderlust. In university, I bounced from UC campus to UC campus. When I graduated, I got a job unrelated to my field that kept me perpetually away. Eventually, I was contracting out to various federal agencies setting up remote base camps and communications. I saw amazing things, but it took its toll. I was away from the ocean, I stopped p…

I hooked up with a girl who has a boyfriend last night. I think her exact words were, "I'm seeing someone." I hooked up with a girlfriend from high school who is engaged. I specifically told her that we shouldn't hang out, because all I wanted to do was sleep with her. We hung out, anyways. A long time friend of mine recently got breast implants, and, though she never said anything, I knew she was dating someone from where she worked. There is no good way of handling it, since she is already on the defensive. However, she has agreed to getting drunk near her place, so you aren't gross or creepy to her, yet. My guess is that you have a shit test waiting for you. Play it cool, don't focus on getting laid, talk to other people besides her and make friends with them, so she knows you aren't a loser, ignore her shit test, and hope you can read the situation well enough to know if she would have sex with you. I read nearly all of the "Great Books" by the time I was 16. Those, alone, have given me enough to participate in most conversations. The goal is to be able to confidently converse within any social circle you deem appropriate. Reading increases not just your knowledge, but your vocabulary and your ways of thinking. As a college student, you must realize that there is more willing vagina around you now than there will be at any other point in your life. If you want to get laid, it should be as easy as playing the numbers game, making eye contact, assuming attraction, escalating all while mixing in a few drinks. Meaningful relationships, though, are a bit different. Think about your most meaningful relationships, currently. What is it about those relationships that you value? Everyone is different, but, gene…

Start a hobby now. I played piano, growing up, then guitar later. I reached expert level by the time I was 21. It doesn't matter what it is, though, so long as you are passionate about it. When you are passionate about something, it seeps into everything else you do and people recognize it. Being an expert at something builds confidence and that also translates into everything you do. As to spending more time with a girl... you are going to have to make that call on your own. You know how some g…

Two things, friend... You know that feeling when you come across a new song? That feeling when you say something smart and everyone agrees with you and is impressed? Confirming your own personal culture is what people spend half their time doing. Do you think Christians go around looking to prove their religion wrong on the Internet? Her: "I have a boyfriend." Me: "Sounds like a personal problem. [changes subject and continues on as if she doesn't have one]" Just ignore the fact they have a boyfriend. Don't dwell on it, don't discuss it. So, you donn't know what sophistry is. You don't know what cognitive dissonance is, and you don't know what evidence is. And, of course, you just regurgitate poor facsimiles of arguments that I've already made. At first, I thought you were just caught in your own cognitive dissonance, but it is more than that. Well, I'm glad we can both agree my penis is larger. You have the dictionary version of cognitive dissonance, and fail to comprehend the ramifications of how and why that process is always at work. It is integral to learning. But it is also integral to participating in and protecting your own personal culture. It often amounts to tribalism. There is always "discomfort," or "dissonance." You are lying to yourself. If Scarlett Johansenn threw herself at you, with no chance of getting caught, you would cheat. I have felt the same way you did, but, if enough women throw themselves at you, you are going to slip up. The truth is every relationship fades in the sex department, after a certain amount of time. If someone is focusing on their career because they are intelligent, how does that suggest my premise was incorrect? If it is correlation or causation, how does that make any difference in the premise? Either way, you are wrong... I was generalizing, a bit, and intelligence is tough for some people to define... especially when they want to argue about it on the Internet, but... In the United States and similarly cultured countries, there is a well-known relationship between levels of education and age of marriage, with women with lower levels of education getting married earlier. That's all well and good, in theory, but that's not how people operate. Up until recently, marriage was, essentially, the way a man owned a woman. He paid her family with a dowry, and he was allowed to beat her or rape her. Do you know when the first law was passed that made it possible for a husband to be accused of rape by his wife? There are different ways to maintain power in social circles. Sometimes it is through deceit or violence, but it can also be through generosity (depending on how you do it). There is no right way to do it, but depending on how you do it will result in different responses from people. You can be nice and still be alpha, just don't be a pushover. Give without expecting anything in return, and you are off to a good start. Just don't ever sacrifice what you need for what other people want.

It works the other way, too. If a woman replicates the power dynamics you have with your mother, she will own you. It works on a number of unconscious levels, and it is why, when you are ambivalent towards a woman, it often works in your favor, because that is how her father treated her. Every girl is different, but it usually doesn't take much to suss out how those dynamics worked. If her father treated her like a princess, run. If her father was totally absent, run. If you want to focus on a single girl who is all wrong for you, then you can do one of two things. 1) Move on. Seriously, there is no reason to put up with women who are a pain in the ass. There are too many easy going ones who know how not to be petty all the time. 2) Replicate the power dynamics that she has in the relationship with her father. You will own her. But, you will own a sub-par woman who is trying to make you frame your life around her, instead of the other way around.

Go travel. It will change you. It will help interrupt your emotional cycles and you will become a more interesting person as a result. If you can't up and leave, start saving, set goals, and make a plan so you can focus on something other than how you feel. Also, get some exercise. Even if it is walking through the park. Walk someone's dog. Anything. Getting out and being active will always bring immediate results. Meeting people, too. Meeting new people is stimulating. They did experiments in t…

I once read an interesting piece on the biology of love. It forever changed the way I viewed what my relationships should be. Falling in love with someone is like becoming addicted to a drug. Eventually, the same dose from the same person stops being enough to achieve the neurochemical high. The time span lusting, romantic love typically lasts for? A couple of years... just long enough to make sure an infant gets to walk. From an evolutionary perspective, it makes perfect sense. It also explains…

Find a girl who has a lot of time on her hands or has a flexible schedule (I recommend a masseuse). Find someone who lives very, very close. Become less busy. Live off of ONSs. or Pay for sex.

Like any skill, it takes time. Google is an excellent resource. Take a class or two. Pick just a few of your favorite things to be really good at. Then practice.

The last time I got dumped, I severed all contact. I drove to Alaska and I lived for a summer on the Alaskan Tundra. The backpacker circuit didn't have girls as good looking as the New Zealand circuit, but it ain't terrible and there are plenty of them. I spring-boarded into a job at home, then I was off to Central America to bounce around and do some scuba diving. The last time I checked her twitter account, she had some Beethoven quote about making mistakes. She has some other ramblings on the…

Learn to cook. I spent some time in the South Pacific... bouncing around from island nation to island nation, and I had to catch what I ate. Mostly, I ate Mahi Mahi, Tuna and Lobster. These three things I can cook amazingly well. I also do a mean spaghetti, bacon wrapped shrimp and some other good things. Talk about what you two like to eat. Then offer to cook it for her. Voila. She will say yes whether she was thinking about sex or not (food is sensual, btw... easy to steer that text conversati…

I do not consider myself a PUA, but I very much have the philosophy SinSlayer mentions. I have hit the 100 mark and none of it came from picking up girls at clubs (well, maybe a little). Find something you have passion for, find groups of people who do it, then you will, inevitably, meet girls who do it, too. You already have common interests and you are already setting yourself up for success. More importantly, you get a chance to screen women to make sure they aren't crazy. One night stands ar…

For some guys you have to take control. Unfortunately, that sets a bad standard for the rest of the relationship, depending on what power dynamics you have grown accustomed to. I was very much the man OP describes. I was always shy and never made the first move. BUT, I am a decent looking guy, have a good education, have my life together, and I am a musician. The result was that all of my early girlfriends are girls who pursued me and made the first move. It has made for some awkward situations …

Here's the thing... everyone has the ability to be different people in different situations. Growing up in church, we were often warned about leading double lives where we speak one language around our brethren and another when we know no one from church is watching. Everyone has the ability to live a double, or even quadruple life, it isn't just women. Learning about all of the unconscious processes has taught me that any girl, under the right circumstances will sleep with me. It is only a matt…

Comment on the handshake. (joke) "That's a firm grip you've got there." then Explain how she is doing it wrong, how her hand needs to be on top, etc... "unless you are in San Diego." Then you demonstrate the San Diego handshake. Now, you've shaken her hand twice, made a joke that can be construed many ways, and you are ready to move from that spot with her, or get a number. Also, learn palm reading.

Run. Meet other girls. Become experienced. If you still want her in a year... run some more. Maybe she'll try to catch you, but if not, it isn't important.

YOUR JOB AS A MAN in this situation, is to make her feel better. Allow her to vent, but briefly. Take her mind off of it.

tl;dr OP I'll share, briefly... #1 Go on a cruise, con a crew badge off a chick, hang out at the crew bar the whole week. 2 threesomes, lots of other sex ensued. I gained cred with crew and passengers alike, performed on stage (I play piano and guitar) and had travel in common with everyone... except that I've been around the world twice and can beat everyone's stories. 2 Vegoose in Vegas. HB10 at STS9 concert dancing next to me. I have a cigarette in my mouth and she lights it. Her friends left…

I typically go until it all falls apart. Something about having several women makes all of them respond to the competition, I have found. The sex is better, the time together is better... and it is a little expensive and a pain in the ass, sometimes, but, overall, worth the trouble. When it falls apart, there are plenty more fish in the sea.
