It is posts like these that I have red pilled friends with who wanted to act as if I was lying when bringing things of this nature up. The comment section is also usually littered with great ideas to combat this type of thinking and behaviour in a tactful way that gets through to people like this. I normally just put the butter I need melted in a frying type pan (not a fan of "nuking" it in the microwave) with the stove eye on a lower-med temp until the butter is slightly melted but not hot. This is for baking though, not sure if that helps. Cooking things in it instead of oil is easy and much tastier as well.
