Oh. So PSD is just about watching women get punished and not about women assuming they are above getting punished and learning they aren't.

I watched it, asking for a ticket wasn't exactly asking for a pussy pass. A guy would have asked the same hoping it was just a misdemeanor. Was arrested and charged.... Then publically shamed. Still really don't see much of a Pussy pass on this one.

The absolute majority of the convicts sent out here were minor criminals who had to steal minor items to get but and when caught were sent out to become slave labour. The lecturing is funny coming from someone in a country that has a history of stealing anything valuable they get their hands on.

Yeah, nah.... The opposite is actually what is happening. Women have invaded "men's" spaces for decades and now are getting their own spaces invaded. Your "it's a problem because it's a problem" reasoning is a whole non event.

Um.... Don't know where you heard that but I was told by the police AND my lawyer that even if there is a court order they cannot enforce it if she fails to follow it. They will do a welfare check and act only if the child is at risk. if the child says they don't want to go to dad the police won't get involved any further. What you have to do is get the court order, keep copious notes on each violation over an extended period of time. Including any conversations regarding the violations. Once yo…

It's important to focus the blame on what's wrong and not just scream the whole system is fucked! I agree they are damaging, but in my experience if you stick with fighting them the case falls apart and you get a reasonable result. I know one guy who caught his wife in bed with a friend. Punched the wall and walked out. She was still in bed and on the other side of the room. She called the cops and had him arrested for assault and had the guy she was fucking be a witness. He had been fighting hi…

Under the legislation judges and mediation is to seek 50:50 custody as the outcome subject to mitigation. This means accusations of abuse etc take this into account. If you go in front of a judge asking for 100% with the only reason being "I want the kids" and the other parent also wants kids the judge will force you back to mediation. If this position doesn't change after numerous attempts then the judge will rule 50:50. If there are fears of abuse etc then the situation does change. Hence the …

In my case there was no treatment of guilt except for the imposition of bail. I didn't even have to give evidence to show I was innocent, they gave all the evidence and ended up contradicting their own statement. We didn't even need to cross examine. The judge was very very annoyed the case even made it to them. Problem is the judge doesn't and can't press charges. The DPP has to do that and they politically will not charge an accuser as they will be roasted for convincing women they should not …

We have plenty of rights, just none are dictated by a "bill of rights" and as a result are a lot more fluid and less constrained. There are many areas where the court system in Australia is way ahead of other places but also areas that need real reform. For example, The default position in the family court is 50/50 care (custody doesn't exist) and where the parents agree on the parameters of the breakup of relationship the court is a dream to deal with. The downside is vindictive parents have re…

Sorry, bail doesn't require large funds to be put forward accept in the case of extremely serious crimes. I was accused of domestic violence and had bail imposed until I could defend the accusations in court. 18 months of fighting with the bail conditions I posed before the judge threw the case out and the conditions were lifted. But, no punishment for the accuser even after they admitted the accusations were false to a judge.

That's not toxic masculinity. It's emotional repression and I know plenty of women who are just as emotionally repressed. Society tells men to toughen up, but doesn't show them how to do this in a constructive way. That is blamed on masculinity not on society. It's a trait observed in men, blamed on men but a product of society structures mainly reinforced by women. It's a toxic behaviour pattern not a masculinity issue. Every behaviour pattern women don't see as being like feminine behaviour ca…

Women in general are not a problem. Feminism as in the purported desire to see equal opportunity and rights is not a problem. Modern feminism that promotes "kill all men", "toxic masculinity" etc....are a problem for both men and women. the people who follow this ideology exist in a narrow band of ideological hatred that seeks to blame men for all the hardships and to denigrate anyone who questions the narrative, even women. Men in general don't rape, a small number do and it's an abhorrent act …

I understand why my parents chose to do it but I chose not to. My outlook on life is to change things I can change and live with those I can't. I can't be uncircumcised so I don't allow it to be an issue for me. I will admit, it's easy for me to say this because I wasn't damaged as a result of this. I even think it's different for women because FGM doesn't just expose the clitoris, it removes the exposed portion of it. With male circumcision it just exposes it, assuming it's done correctly. So w…

You don't have to run around declaring you don't like "sluts" to be in line with a preference to partnering with a more chaste woman. You choose who you choose, don't like women with any experience don't date them....your not being forced to. You don't have to run around declaring it to everyone within earshot.

So it's only a suicide method if it successfully kills you... Got it.... Your right though, the statistics are for suicide attempts + successes.... Because only attempts matter.... Frankly everyone who attempts suicide is a failure to recognise and support someone with an issue. The problem from a men's rights issue isn't that women fail more than men, it's that the overwhelming number of male suicide successes is downplayed because more women attempt it and fail.

Same way how trying to murder someone but failing is called attempted murder. Women/girls predominantly choose methods that have low success rates. Men/boys choose methods that are predominantly lethal. Thus has been known for decades and studied extensively.

I agree with this with one exception. The ones out screaming for equality are not fighting for equality, they are just fighting to gain the privileges they perceive men having without giving up any of their own. This is why it appears to be overshooting the mark, it's because a small extremely vocal and somewhat delusional number are chasing for privilege but insisting they have none themselves. Sadly they are a lot more common than "statistics" suggest. My lawyer told me they only take on women's cases where they have evidence of abuse that has been substantially proven. In their experience they regularly had female clients that made claims they knew were not true so now screen for this. If we can't tell you have makeup on then it's almost guaranteed you don't need it. If you have had to point it out to your dates then a number of things are possible. 1) the sheer subtlety of your makeup means you don't even need it. 2) your date is interested in you as a person and not your looks. 3) he has poor eyesight.

There is a gap, it's not a wage gap it's a lifetime earnings gap. Women work less hours on average and take more time off for children etc. But what isn't considered in this is the fact that during this time off work they are generally supported by a partner. They also generally live to an older age so generally inherit all the wealth accumulated by their partners.

If you encourage and coerce someone to murder a person you don't like, it's murder by proxy. You don't do it yourself because you want to escape punishment. The fact you want someone else to do it for you brings a third person Into your crime. In my view this makes your crime worse.

I went through a scenario in 2017, in Australia that this law applies to. I can't tell you for a fact that the police ( at least in my jurisdiction) don't just assume the woman is the one who needs protection and neither does the magistrate. That said, The prosecution / court support structures make all sorts of assumptions along those lines. My ex assaulted me and police were called. They came, interviewed everyone and arrested her. Her daughter ( my step daughter ) went to school and claimed I…

Ok, point taken. But it's also not toxic masculinity, it's just toxic behaviour. I am by no means the most attractive man in the room but I have had women refuse to take no for an answer and get quite nasty when rejected. It's not a male only thing. As for rectification of the family court goes. You will find it very hard in this subreddit to convince any of the men here that feminists are interested in this. I am not saying you don't want that. Sexualisation if women is problematic. But it's hard to see how this is a bigger problem than the parental alienation of father's as this has a direct I pact on the father and the children. Especially when the sexualisation of women is ok when they don't to themselves in order to gain favour or advantage, and anthropologically speaking do it to attract a mate. Sexualisation is only a problem where it's perceived as a result of the patriarchy AND puts women at a disadvantage. The reality is that …

It doesn't matter if they did or not, more stories about notable women won't hurt anyone. If there are less notable women then there will still be less stories about notable women. The end result will be very telling that there are less notable women to write about.

So, won't this result in HR and close staff having a running log of the menstrual cycle of their "people who menstruate". They have to in order to determine if the 1 day a month is being abused... Also some women have a 26 day cycle and others have up to 32, obviously ignoring the unfortunate ones who have irratic and unpredictable ones. There are so many issues with this policy even before you get to the sexist nature of it all.

Of course.. and harrassment by definition requires repeated actions. Not a one off. I was referring to the idea of what constitutes sexual assault has become pretty flimsy just like harrassment. So if asking a girl out is harrassment then I guess any of the rape/assault definitions are indeed RAPE. Was not saying asking a girl out was rape. What research did you do for this? Unless you spent time in the field working with men then you can only go on the reports of other people. People happy with the arrangement or behaviour in an environment are not likely to report sexist behaviour as they either don't experience it or don't care about it. What this leads to is a confirmation bias in reporting. When you ask how many women experience X, only those who have will put their hand up. I hear all the time about sexist behaviour within th…

Ask her to explain how "hate all men" is fighting the patriarchy, as system that has developed with a male focus but also supported by many women in their attitudes towards other women. If she asks for proof of this, then ask her to define the patriarchy in a way that can 1, prove it exists as a collegiate idea that is agreed upon as an I tended out come and 2, that no women have supported it. I would go a little further and say they selected mates for power within the social group as this gave them ultimate resource availability vs the need to expend effort on those resources. So based on this I would suggest women created the patriarchy as defined by "men having all the power". It is true that men have exerted power over women in many situations through history. But the majority of the patriarchy defined by "men oppress women" has has occurred within the upper classes, the so called…

No, your spreading bullshit. Your saying that child support is wrong because it takes financial control away from the patent who is paying the support and that the only criteria for a good parent is one who earns the most money. That's just bullshit on so many levels. That's your opinion and probably based on your own experience or at least the ideas given to you from reading about too many cases where the mother is just leaching off the father. Yeah it happens but that's a failing of your system to ensure child support is appropriate and what's bets for the child. You will always have edge cases but that doesn't mean all cases are like that.

The more financially capable may also be the worst person emotionally for the child. If you see child support as extortion then don't get married and don't have kids because if the only thought that you can have about providing for your child is extortion then you will make a shitty partner and a shitty parent. Sorry, that's rubbish. Those issues have nothing to do with child support and all to do with the ego and arrogance of individual parents. I get that, the original comment Implies child support is evil.(paraphrasing) It's not that child support is evil but the system that decides how much and who pays is broken and taken advantage of. Push for legislation changes that aim to simplify the process and get it sorted and removed from the courts or force the courts to apply specific criteria to it.
/r/MensRights19/01/22 07:03 AM

Maybe that's the case in Your country, not in mine. The Court system here has nothing to do with determination of child support.

There is a difference between what's good for the child financially and what's good for the child emotionally. Unless the child is being abused its best to have balanced care arrangements. Care should not be linked to financial ability. I have 4 kids to 2 different mothers and I am happy to pay for their support. But our system is different here so a lot fairer and not up to a judge.

The Australian system uses tax returns and adjusts based on incomes for each year. If you encounter hardship mid year you can appeal for a recalculation but it's not easy. If you happen to over pay this year your credited with the overpayment. And gender doesn't come into it. My ex wife had to pay me for a while there. There are still a few flaws in the system. You should read the entire article. I read the article and I took a different view. The government policy that funds the work is focused solely on the reduction of "men's violence against women", but the author knows that women are violent too. She included women's violence in the handbook as it was easier than convincing authorities that it should really just be about "ending domestic violence". My "anecdote" as you call it applied to the majority of women in my grandmothers generation and many beforehand. You can't see it accept that's fine, but it makes you now better than the feminist that claims men never cared about women.

I gave you an example that was common at the time. The idea of romantic love didn't just suddenly appear after the feminist movement started. You only have to open your eyes and not take the feminist mantra as gospel. Don't make the mistake of thinking that the loud mouthed loony feminist you hear ranting about male oppression is at all representative of the majority of women. Lots of women don't buy Into the the feminist rants. Lots of them dont tolerate it.... Unfortunately most just expect it…

Moving the goal posts doesn't negate what I said. I didn't say women as a whole, I gave you an example of how one woman showed empathy for a man's issue... I.e. work hard and in a dangerous job. While this is only one example there were entire generations of women who didn't discount men having struggles purely because they had issues of their own. Feminist dogma says men never cared, only women struggled and men oppressed women. Their only justification canye from how they perceived the upper c…

The majority of posts I saw and the related comments seemed to be focused on female avoidance. Most MGTOW proponents also focus on that. I wasn't trying to say the subreddit should not be there, but that men need to focus on how to exist in an increasingly hostile social environment without losing their masculinity and sense of self, instead of focusing on complete avoidance.

I don't think they are the same. ... One is discussion of strategies to ruin your chances of finding a sane partner while blaming men. I think you need to rethink it a lot. The key difference is risk. Women have higher risks in sex. Pregnancy can kill, and puts a high physical toll on them. They also suffer much greater social stigma related to promiscuity. So, they need to feel safe and comfortable in the situation. They need to feel they will be respected and looked after if it goes to conception. Men don't have these issues. Our biggest concern is getting baby trapped or similar and most women don't do this. The second diffe…

If feminism was truly about equal rights for all, they would call it humanism. I have a number of female friends who say they are humanists as they don't believe in promoting the rights of one gender over another while failing to recognise the rights and privileges that gender has. I see urinals as a liberation from having to sit to piss.... I grew up in the country and if I was no where near the house I used whichever tree was nearby as a target. I don't understand the issue with potentially being seen.... if you feel standing up at a urinal is undignified then that's ok but it has nothing to do with gender disparity. The problem with this is that it ignores the anthropological roots of this. In anthropological terms, a group can recover faster from the loss of a large number of males than it can from losing a large number of females. You do realize that the reason nobody ever talks about toxic femininity, isn't because it's gendered, but because it's "anti-woman" right? So you saying "hey let's move beyond gender" isn't going to do anything, they still won't care about fixing their own toxic behavior, lmao. You're so fucking naive it's insane, I'm starting to feel badly, like maybe you really are …

They're not useless though, they describe toxic gendered behavior. You're just too big a smooth brain to see past you "brilliant" idea that it's the words that are causing problems and not the morons behind the words that can't see nuance in anything. Your too far up your own clacker to see that the things you want to apply gender too have causes that are not gendered and focusing on gender avoids dealing with the cause....and gains nothing. And I am the retard, the only thing you can understand is that in order to beat someone else we need to be more toxic than them. Telling them things like what about toxic femininty just ups the stakes on it... How successful have you been in that? I bet you have solved heaps of problems in your own mind....

At least I can sting a sentence together that doesn't use expletives as punctuation. Of course removing terms that are useless and cause problems will help but it should not take a Rhodes scholar to understand that. The terms were created only recently and with the sole purpose of division of blame over behaviour. If we truely want to remove the toxic behaviour we would look at what truely causes it. Only an idiot would think you can fix a problem by attacking the symptoms.

No. Men and women do not spread STDs at the same rate. You'd think so, because it takes one of each to fuck, but the truth is, there is a small percentage of men that are banging a large percentage of women. So when those men get STDs, they share it around big time. And it's getting worse. More and more women are getting HPV and have no idea. What the fuck has this got to do with the topic. Again, I will repeat for the slow learners.... Women don't avoid declaration of promiscuity because of STD…

You seriously are either being a troll on purpose or just can't think clearly... The conversation was around toxicity from behaviour as it pertains to gender.... If the issue was about STD'S we would be applying the same social pressure regardless of genders. So, you don't have any understanding of the suite you speak. There is absolutely nothing to be gained from genderising it. I literally don't care what you think you know or how smart you are, you entire premise is based on something as stupid as 'if you want to remove gender from something it must mean you don't believe in genders'. Genderising it makes it political and focuses attention on the resultant behaviour not on the causes of that behaviour. You even acknowledged the fact that feminists…

The fact you think sleeping around is the part that is toxic and not how different standards are applied to it depending on genders says a lot about your mindset. Little Hint for you... multiple sexual partners increases your risk of STD's but apart from that has absolutely no issue in who you are as a person. Any issues arise from cultural biases applied to genders.... It's the application of unbalanced and irrelevant cultural norms that is toxic not the sleeping around. You seem to be unable t…

So much misandry and deflection to unpack here .. Maybe you don't know many women who brag about their sexual exploits but there are heaps and it's toxic cultural norms that are applied to women that make many hide it. Not asking for help may be a more common trait with men, but so what, it's the origins of the social pressures that matters not the gender. None of those behaviours are Inherently masculine. I know plenty of women who don't like asking for help. My own mother refused to go to the doctor because....' How does it not? I get that you think not all masculine behaviour is toxic, but please explain to me why you need to refer to it as masculinity I stead of just behaviour... "Toxic masculinity" does not convey it's restricted to certain behaviours. If you think it's smart to be attaching a gender to behaviour you deem toxic when it's just fundamentally behaviour borne from a wider social construct which all genders have a part in then sure... People are stupid. The term toxic masculinity infers masculinity is toxic, when it's not, it's behaviours that are toxic and yes they may be associated with a particular gender but insisting on using a gender reference instead of behaviour reference is just dumb. If you say so, pity you have to result to this kind of response instead of addressing the substance of my statement. There is nothing you just stared that doesn't back up what I said. A guy spending his entire pay packet on someone to get sex is toxic, but it's nothing to do with masculinity, It's due to a cultural expectation that is borne from the counter expectations that unless he shows he is willing to invest in her she is not to be sexually available. The idea that drives this is toxic, dr…
/r/MensRights16/05/21 04:56 AM

No, it's a problem with the term that allows the term to be mis-used. They are just culturally cultivated behaviours that are deemed toxic. The problem with using masculinity as a part of the term encourages it to be deemed a male behaviour and as such only the fault of men. Reality is all genders have behaviour that is toxic so we should be calling them what they are. Toxic behaviour, not toxic masculinity as it's not masculinity that is toxic, only particular behaviours.
/r/MensRights16/05/21 03:24 AM

But this is an example of the problem with the term. It's overly used to cover all masculine behaviour, and even feminine behaviour. What feminists originally referred to as toxic masculinity are the toxic cultural behaviours that are used to define what it is to masculine. The truth is that it's not the behaviour of the male as an inherent masculine trait that's the problem, the majority of these behaviours are reactions to innapropriate social expectations that are placed in the male from a yo…

This situation you describe seems to be very specific to certain legal jurisdictions. In Australia this has been sorted out somewhat. Not like its perfect but it is much better than it used to be and a lot better than you describe. Lived experience is just a stupid attempt to give more meaning to personal experience vs anecdotal experience. When people use this term it's a good indication they have limited faith in the argument they are pursuing and resort to silly phrases to try and sure up their position.
