While possible that he has some strange abnormality only allowing him to produce X sperm, it's definitely more probable that he got "lucky" in odds with the ex wife (1/24 odds for all 4 being girls) or maybe the ex wife had miscarriages with boy fetuses? Idk, stranger things have happened medically. I hate that he is blaming this 25 year old, barely an adult, while he's the one who blew up his and her whole life. Baby trapped my ass.

I can see it in your history, kinda wild that this term is blocked. I def don't align with fds views on that whole issue (I'm afraid all related terms are blocked...)

I don't think post approval is on for anyone that's already flaired. Obviously the mods are really busy but if there was a way to enforce reading the handbook before flairing users that would be cool😂

Honestly I think most people carry HSV even if they don't show symptoms, so I don't worry about cold sores. If it were genital herpes that would be a different story though! Everything else you've shared is massive red flags. Please please read the handbook and run from this tool!

Definitely agree that the best long term option is to move to a new place. Unfortunately apartment/condo living comes with these...special gems. In the short term since they aren't respecting you and the HOA isn't doing anything, to keep up your sleep I'd recommend melatonin or Benadryl and earplugs. Since this is also eliciting visceral responses, maybe add something calming to your bedtime routine as well, such as candles/oils/incense/bath?

If he wanted somewhere outdoors because of worries about COVID, he could have suggested a picnic instead so it does sound like he's being cheap.

The age gap and long distance are two major issues. The debt is also a significant issue because he is a decade older than you so should be well established by now, and plane tickets aren't that expensive when compared to a wedding or living expenses in general. You are young and have so much time left, don't waste it on a bad marriage :(

FDS handbook would not advise to move in together with just a boyfriend as there's no true commitment. Plus from your past posts it looks like this relationship has been less than 6 months potentially. I would definitely recommend taking a step back as moving in together is a huge deal and not a good idea to go through with when you have doubts.

Are you able to share what country you live in? I imagine this is very location-dependant. I wouldn't generally advise dropping out of college in the US but as you mentioned you don't live there, it's hard to give meaningful advice. I will say that service industry jobs tend to not be great long-term options, although they can be quite lucrative while you're young and healthy.

At very best intentions, he disregarded your specific wants and acted like he knows better. At worst, this could be manipulative as he can hold over you how much he spent and "how well he treats you" just because of the amount of money. So when you complain about him not making plans for your bday dinner he will pull this card out. 🚩🚩🚩

So sorry to hear about your husband. I'm so disappointed in most men that I don't even try to date anymore. If someone truly special comes along maybe I would consider it, but it's not worth the risk to me. Most men don't even try to look attractive anymore:(

Sis, not enjoying things like food and social gatherings (with people you actually like!) really sound like signs of depression. Has your therapist discussed this with you before? There are great options such as medications and cognitive behavioral therapy which can improve depression SO much. There's a good chance that (if that is the underlying issue) once depression is addressed, you will feel more confident in yourself and in being alone. We've got to start with internal validation (loving o…

Totally agree! It may vary based on regional differences as well, like as a mom and homeowner in a high COL area in theory I might consider dating someone several years older if they are in a similar place in their life. Unfortunately most of the men my age aren't as far along logistically as I am. If I was in a LCOL area I wouldn't likely accept a significant age difference as it is less understandable to be steps behind where I am if they're older.

It's so hard especially being neurodivergent! There truly are good men and women out there, but the main focus should be on YOU! No person is 100% perfect but (being neurodivergent myself) I would recommend working on strong boundaries for friendships and potential relationships to protect yourself. The most important questions are if someone is adding value to your life and if they are adding stress. I always use those questions as my litmus test for friendships and relationships and in combina…

Let's run through the realistic worst case scenario. So he uploads your video online. That would suck. But does he actually have any real info about you? If he doesn't know your name, employer, family etc., I think you're going to be ok. likely he isn't some super savvy hacker, but just some scrote who screen shares and records. I would strongly recommend locking down your instagram for your safety sis. As for guy 1, that comes across as CREEPY imo. For guy 2, i thought the handbook might have addressed this situation but i can't recall exactly. I would expect to be asked on a date at the one week mark but might wait for two weeks. If nothing by then, he's just keeping you as an option.

I think it's the second. In theory any HVM should be ok with your decision because your body your choice, but i haven't met many men in general who are ok with not having bio kids. Which makes zero sense because it's not like they're heavily involved in actually raising kids 🙃

I'm a very financially stable single mom (solid main job + investment income) and it is honestly amazing. I definitely wouldn't recommend adopting until you're quite well off, for the reasons you listed, especially being able to pay for childcare for breaks. It is so rewarding to put the energy and love into raising a child that's kind, intelligent, passionate. I only ever wanted one child so that i could invest energy and resources into raising a good human (and environmental reasons - i think …

Unfortunately it's not always as simple as just redirecting energy, when most women have been raised to base their self worth at least partly on their weight and appearance. I understand your sentiment but just wanted to point out that it's a big struggle for many! Myself included, skinny=worthy has been ingrained in me since birth!

I don't agree with your conclusion based on my own life experience, but the point is that I'm not saying "do not" do this or that. I don't agree that telling women to not have children is in the spirit of FDS, that discussion is certainly fine to have and sharing life experiences is important, but your original comment is worded as telling women what to do. Like i said, we certainly have enough men in the world trying to tell us what to do!

Of course those views are welcome but the original comment really is worded too harshly. I don't think she should be telling women what to do/not do, we certainly already have the patriarchy doing that to us!

My favorite suggested response in this scenario (pushing to not use a condom) is to go full crazy and talk about how ready you are to have a kid, how exciting it is that he's on board, what names you have picked out! Scare them away sis because we all know they won't take no for an answer.

I'm not sure if you even need something heavy, my traveling colleagues have a doorstop that they use in their hotel rooms to stop it from being opened from the outside. Definitely look into that! I'd also recommend befriending your women dorm neighbors so you all may watch out for each other. Ensure at dorm parties that there's always someone staying sober and keeping watch on the other women.

Oh for sure, the patriarchy makes it hard to get ahead in life as a single mom so i totally see why so many are pickmes. Plus the whole damsel in distress disney fairytales of our childhoods feed into that (thank goodness for more recent movies actually depicting strong women and strong friendships!). I do agree that a pickme roommate would be better than most men, although I worry about the unstable/abusive/low value men that would be coming around (and the effect on me/my child). That was my e…

Exactly! FDS is all about moving on asap once someone shows their true lvm colors. How is that manipulation?? TRP is about manipulation for sex. Zero overlap. FDS helped me become confident enough to leave an abusive relationship. And now I am quite content with myself and working on self love and confidence, without the need of a relationship.

I think it's important for all kids (and especially our sons) to do chores. It teaches respect for our living space and family members. I'm also working on empathy and feelings with my son, we read stories about how to express our feelings and healthy ways to deal with feelings like frustration and disappointment. At school they watch videos on empathy and how to be a good friend (he's quite young). I think calm parenting is really critical, as our kids pick up on our parenting strategies and ma…

Yes! I am a bi woman and have only recently explored that part of my sexuality and dated a woman. Of course some FDS principles don't apply in that case but a ton still do, and I've found it super useful. Honestly after FDS i prefer women now 😅 less power dynamic bs and more empathy and loveliness.
