How often do you get hard rejections and at what point do you say, "I'm doing something wrong and need to adjust things."

Come to SF. It's ubiquitous.

What do you do to get over a constant barrage of rejections and long dry streaks? Similarly, how do you not get down on yourself when most of the people in your life are having lots of sex and making great connections?

Having trouble staying in set long enough to pull. I'm a low-key dude and do much better on dates than with SNL's. I usually start out with instant attraction and anime eyes in the first five minutes, then I always seem to lose it after that. Should I just work on trying to pull in the first five minutes or is there something else I should work on?

It has nothing to do with the afc. If I want to talk to her, I'll talk to her. If I feel like winging for him, I'll wing for him. If I feel like AMOG'ing him, I'll AMOG him.

Honestly, most of the stuff on here is way over-complicated. It all comes down to this: get good logistics, go out a lot, talk to women, try to fuck them. Rinse and repeat. All the advice, articles and videos are supplements. They help you troubleshoot your sticking points, but the only way you really know if something works or doesn't is by doing it lots and lots of times. If it really doesn't work, you will know through your own experience, not from what someone on reddit said. Again, get good…

I've never gotten it to work, but the reactions have been pretty positive. I saw a dude in a bar the other day doing kind of a variant on it. He'd go into set, talk about 5 minutes then say something like, "Honestly, I just want to get you out of here and fuck you." He'd get rejected, but just immediately move on to the next set without a care in the world. I didn't watch him all night, but I have to imagine that he probably found a girl who was down.

Yeah, I know. I have logistical issues. I could/should have gone all out and tried, but I'm not going to have regrets. Just learn from it. It may go down tonight though.

Uh, no. No, it's not. If you don't like the fact that other people don't live up to your personal standard of "gentleman" then don't read them or mimic them.

I like to get to logistics pretty quickly. It's just a casual conversation topic but definitely has a purpose. I try to find out who she's there with, how long she's been there, where does she live, how did she get there (e.g. "Oh, so you probably take the train when you come into the city."), etc. If it feels too early to transition to logistics I'll ask how their night is so far and why it's been so good (most of the time they'll say it's been awesome). Another thing I like to do is reserve th…

It's unlikely she felt sorry for me. A lot of the date was her idea plus she had invited me to something previously that I couldn't make. Maybe I was bordering on creepy at the end, but I had established a sexual frame with her. Also, my goal is to push that envelope. I know that some of the things I do could come off as creepy but I'm willing to risk it. I'd rather be creepy than the nice guy.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm thinking I'll just hang back and invite her to the park occasionally or something. I'm sure I'll see her again too since we often frequent the same bar. She knows what I'm about, so when I see her I can set a physical, non-creepy frame and give her the option to chase me if she gets horny.

It was kind of the end of the night when that happened. The other dude was hanging back. I think he was cool and was trying to give us alone time. I can't remember exactly what she said but I think it was something about her bf. We walked back to where the dude was and split up.

Yeah, there's no question that you risk getting your ass kicked. I guess my strongest emotion at the time was intrigue and not fear. I knew what could happen and was ready if it did, but I had to do what I thought was right and call him out on his behavior.

That was great. I like the relaxed, slowed down, romantic vibe. I need to be more like that.

Had a similar situation this weekend as well, but mine was a little more on the edge of violence. There was a girl in the park handing out flyers. She walked back to her group which consisted of 3 other dudes. I asked her what she was about and they all started telling me about their bands. Out of nowhere, one of the guys stood up, tried to look intimidating and said, "You better get the fuck out of here. That's my gf you're talking to." My immediate response was to tell him that there was no re…

I'm paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact words. Basically, I'd built just a little bit of tension. I was face to face with her, relatively close and had sexual eye contact. I said, "Do you ever think sometimes that people where different masks to cover up who they really are?" I think her face kind of lit up at this. She said something like, "Yeah, and it's different for different situations." So I said, "I know I have these masks, but as I get older I find more and more that I either…

My kiss attempts are usually pretty awkward (gotten a lot of feedback on this from girls). I usually don't say anything when I attempt. Is it better to say something like, "I kind of want to kiss you right now.", etc or to not say anything at all? Also, my friends usually tell me that you should "just know" when the right time is, but personally, I don't really get that.

I think it depends on the state and situation. Generally, you're not really going to get away with shooting someone just because they punched you though.

Personally, I just wouldn't even acknowledge it. Just make it clear, like always, that you're looking to be more than "just friends".

When a guy hangs around a woman hoping that she'll like him and/or throw herself at him without letting her know what he wants, that is deceitful. It deceives her into thinking that he's just a friend and doesn't want anything else from her. Put yourself in her shoes. It is unfair to her to lead her into thinking that you don't want anything but friendship. Orbiters aren't necessarily manipulative, but they can be creepy. That creepiness comes from a lack of clear intentions.

Maybe not manipulative but he's usually deceitful. Clear intentions while maintaining an inner strength that's not affected by the environment is the least deceitful type of manly paradigm.

Totally this. Whenever I approach and get the fuck-off-face from openers as indirect as "hello", I look at it as a window into a troubled person's soul. I mean I'm not a bad looking dude, but even if I were 300 pounds with dandruff and pimples, it's incredibly strange to behave in that manner.

I usually just assume that there's interest. To be honest, I don't really think about that much. If I see someone I like, I just kind of go.

Awesome. Thanks. I'm pretty sure I don't really have any fear closing, just a heightened sense of alertness.

One of my friends told me recently that I should be trying to close every set that I open, just to get the reactions. But sometimes I get real negative feedback, not shit tests, just reactions that I don't know how to address without stepping into a needy, chasing frame. I really don't want to revert to Mr. Needy McTryhard. I'm sure there are things I could do in these situations, but I don't have enough experience to know. So I just eject. I'm okay with it though. Am I right?

Ha. I just had this vision of a creeper camped out between stacks of wine waiting to pounce on the next HB. Interested in what openers you use at the grocery store.

Personally, I like the "give me your # so we can hang out sometime." or "you should give me your #." On a related note, I tried this with a girl this weekend, she actually turned to her friend and said, "should i give him my #?" Friend said, "no" and she said "no." I think I was too amused so amused by this interaction that I didn't follow up. For some reason, I find this hilarious.

I've had a few gay guys try to pick me up as well. I've never been offended, and to be honest it's a little flattering. Also, I have a lot of respect for people that are open about what they want. As long as you're not really aggressive about it, the only people you're going to offend are close-minded asshats and do you really care if you've offended those kind of people anyway?

Any advice on picking up girls who are working? i.e. baristas, kiosk vendors, etc. I don't necessarily target these girls, but a lot of times I get IOI's from them and don't know how to follow up.

Not to be too contradictory here, but here are my observations: The first two guys were NOT rude. As a matter of fact she was giving the guy at the table some minor IOI's: eye contact, smiling, introducing herself with a handshake. They may have seemed a little put off by the rejection, but that's their problem. It wasn't rude. Of course, most of the other guys were quite clearly rude and some of them were bordering on harassing. So where is that dividing line between moving past a shit test and…
