I tried some WD40 on the top where its most rusty. I used a rag and lighty misted the rag and rubbed the top gently. Seems to have done the trick so far.

I tried to keep him going for as long as I could. He would get sick for a day every couple of months then he would get sicker more often for longer. I tried giving him water under his skin everyday so he wasn’t dehydrated and so his kidneys would work as best as they could. I think that gave him an extra year. I still remember the day I got him and he pooped in my moms car on the way home and wouldn’t stop meowing. He was the best pain the ass.
