Cheaters don’t get second chances in my book, at least while dating. I have not yet formed my opinion on cheating during marriage as I am just recently engaged and it is a much more complicated question... but cheating while dating??? GTFO. Don’t live your life with a cheater who are you aren’t even legally/religiously bonded to.

My fiancé (25m) and I (22f) live together and we mostly text for logistics. He’ll text me if he’s working late, I’ll let him know if I picked up groceries on my way home so he won’t stop at the store too, etc. We do send memes now and then. But most days we don’t text at all.

Eat less, especially less pasta, bread, deserts, soda, and Starbucks, and move more! Unless you are one of the few people who actually have a hormonal disorder, you are fat because of the accumulation of your choices. So change your choices. You won’t lose the weight overnight— you didn’t put it on overnight either. But choices add up, and the math of calories in - calories out doesn’t lie. Don’t say it doesn’t work for you unless you a) have been diagnosed with a legitimate thyroid imbalance, o…

I agree wholeheartedly. Also, value is in the eye of the beholder. A person’s morals should factor strongly into one’s value judgements of potential partners. Even the most “high value” man on paper is repulsive to some small fraction of women.

For me, this is grounds for a very swift breakup. Whether or not he has cheated is besides the point; you hold fundamentally different values, and accordingly, you will never fully trust him. Do not try to change him, as it will likely not get you anywhere but will breed bilateral resentment. I just do not see any possible way to reconcile this difference.

Your love for your wife and family is so clear through this comment, how lucky they are to have you! And what you said about your wife’s financial knowledge enabling you to retire early gives me great inspiration because I too (a woman) am the one with more financial understanding and foresight in my relationship, even though we intend for him to be the main provider. It’s good to hear from another couple who have had success with this pairing. Thank you for sharing and happy Valentine’s Day!

That’s part of the budget. And semantics aside, that information should not be hidden from the adult woman he plans to spend his life with and for whom he demands to be the only financial provider. The more you reveal to us about this situation, the more dire it becomes. Whether he has significantly more or less money/assets than you think he does is not the truly important thing here. That question pales in comparison to the striking lack of communication and honestly between the two of you. I …

If you don’t truly want to submit to him, you cannot force yourself to. Resentment builds and trust dissolves when you are keeping up an act to make someone else happy. Even though we here on this subreddit tend to aim for submission, we recognize that it does not suit every woman, and that each woman has to come to choose this path through her own genuine desire to submit. Do not force yourself into a mold you despise, because eventually things will fall apart when you get tired of pretending e…

The provider/housewife model is ideal IF that is what you BOTH want. But it sounds like you don’t want that. And much more importantly: You write that “He has major trust issues.” This is the root of the problem, as far as I can tell. No financial arrangement will work long-term if you cannot trust each other. Trust either needs to be truly and maturely developed, in both directions, or you need to abandon ship and find someone with whom trust is a two way street. It sounds like you are trying t…

I just want to chime in and confirm that these are absolutely rational concerns. I ended a relationship with a (type 1) diabetic in large part because he care for his health and became visibly unwell due to his own self-neglect during our time together. I don’t have much advice because we had only been together a few months, not married with a child, but I just want to let you know that your concerns are valid and this is very serious. I hope you find a way to get through to him about his health…

It seems like he has no desire to fulfill the role of the provider in the family. Now a man doesn’t necessarily have to be the sole earner, or even the higher earner, in order to strive to be a provider. But he does have to be motivated to hustle and improve. If you want your man to act like a provider, it sounds like he’s not the one. But if having a provider is not your priority and you like everything else about him, you can decide to proceed and have a non traditional arrangement. But if you…

Yes, I agree that there is some cognitive dissonance there. Abigail Shrier is a journalist who wrote a book on the issue of Rapid Onset Gender Disphoria and the social contagion of it amongst teenage girls. I have not read her book, but her appearance on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience is a fascinating listen. I wish more people knew the statistics about suicide rates after transition. Tragically, transgender behavior is often just another serious symptom of mental illness rather than a solution. And therapists are largely silenced from questioning their patients’ claims of transgenderism, even though they can— and are hired specifically to— try to get at the root of just about any other claim that patients make.

Once a cheater, always a cheater. Unless you are married, you have no obligation to mend the relationship. In fact, you have every reason not to. Have dignity. Don’t stay with someone who betrays you.

Yikes these are serious issues. Going out dancing and prohibiting you from joining him? Sleeping at other women’s houses? Open your eyes, girl! He has almost certainly been unfaithful already— a cheater couldn’t resist temptation for three years, and he sounds like a blatant serial cheater. He’s testing how far he can push your limits. Get out of this relationship and next time pick someone more age-appropriate, and more importantly, more trust worthy.

Ask him to teach you! Join him in the kitchen and don’t be afraid to ask questions. There’s no reason to be ashamed that he does the cooking, but you should try to learn from him. Men like to teach and guide their women. My man is much more knowledgeable about cooking meat than I am, so he’s taught me a lot, and he still supervises sometimes when I’m cooking meat. And there things I’ve taught him about cooking, too. Learning from each other in the kitchen has been a wonderful part of our relatio…

I want to point out a discrepancy in what you wrote: you said that if you were to divorce you’d become a low value single mother, but that if you married in your thirties you could find a high value single man. Now, I understand that men and women’s values peak at different times, so it is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. But, all the highest value people tend to stay married. If you follow through, you will be the step-mother to a child who is only 13 years younger than you. That’s the same gap as between you and this man. I think this fact of the arrangement should give you pause. You are smack in the middle of their ages. That concerns me much more than the relationship age gap alone. There will undoubtedly be baggage because of his past. It might be manageable, and it might not be. But do you want to take on a step-mom role for a half-grown child when you are so i…

Your last paragraph about your self esteem issues is very telling. What are you insecure about? Is there a kind of exercise you enjoy or something you’re wanted to try that you could turn into a habit to improve your body? Even before physical results from working out become visible, you will experience incredible psychological benefits from regularly exercising. It’s really one of the best things you can do to improve your self-image and general outlook on life.

Sounds like a good opportunity to help yourself overcome a fear. You’re too old for high school drama to still have such a strong grip on your social life. You’re an adult now, a decade removed from high school. Time to face some fears. I think this is good feedback. I also got the sense that OP doesn’t have clear goals and just seems to want whatever attention could possibly come her way. OP, if you know what you want, focus in on that. If you don’t know, figure out what it is you want. OYS: Home: We’re moving (finally!) this weekend after one month of him working at his new job in our new state and seeing each other on the weekends. We are fortunate that it’s not a very long drive. I’ve been working at my full time job here. While he was gone I slacked off hard keeping up the house, and then rushed to put things in order and clean on Saturday mornings before he arrived, or leaving it a mess while I went to see him. Excellent post. When we started dating, the topic of grudges came up in conversation, and I remember my boyfriend telling me that he’s never been one to hold a grudge. I, on the other hand, make an effort to let go, and I often can, but it’s harder for me. As you write, I absolutely do reflect over all the ways he might misinterpret what I say, or what he might have secretly meant, and I wear myself out doing that. In him, on the other hand, I see clear as day when I watch his reactions that he …

Has he given you a valid reason to distrust him, or has your past made you distrustful? If he gives you reasons to not believe him then you might have an issue to contend with. But, if he is visibly faithful and the fear comes only from your past, then it’s time to stop living in the past and live in the present. You should be reacting to present events, not ruminating over past fears.

I’m having a bad eczema flare up right now so I’m really itchy, but I need to not itch so that my skin can heal. The other night I was itching furiously in my sleep and he gently woke me up just enough to make me stop. If I’m going to bed earlier than him he always comes to tuck me in and kiss me goodnight. He’s really into cars and very knowledgeable about them, and now he takes care of my car like one of his own, monitoring they fluids, washing it, ordering parts when needed. I love him.

This is the real question. Your take home pay after major monthly expenses is greater than the median household income in the US. Where is it all going? If you’re not blowing it away frivolously, perhaps you have a distorted, anxious view of your financial situation. The fact of the matter is that you’re both making quite a bit of money. I don’t know your entire situation, but it seems reasonable that most of your current annual income could be going into savings and you’d still be living on a t…

Dote on him once you have a some commitment in the relationship. Initially, genuine compliments here and there are fine, and you shouldn’t be aloof, but don’t strike his ego and respect him unconditionally if he hasn’t proven himself worth of such yet.

So focus on your body. I’ve seen some women at the gym with pretty mediocre faces but strong, proportional bodies, and they are quite attractive, even though the same face on a pudgy unfit body would be bland at best. Also, caring for your skin and hair so that they look healthy goes a long way. Effort and neat grooming make everyone more attractive. Focus on what you can control.

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, I don’t mean to crush your dream, but I don’t think it’s wise to try to be a “life coach” when you are so young and not really established in life. This isn’t a value judgement on your intelligence, the fact of the matter is that you just don’t have very much life experience yet. I agree with the person who suggested the real estate path. I’m not sure what I think about your question on promiscuity, but I figured give my two cents about this aspect of my relationship, for what it’s worth. I almost never masturbate while in a relationship. I did when my boyfriend and I were long distance, but now that we live together I actively choose to abstain from any kind of masturbation. Try taking your hair out of the braid and instead pinning it back out of your face or doing half-up-half-down. Or get a haircut that is more interesting, like bangs or layers. Braids are wonderful and incredibly practical while you’re sleeping or working out, but they can look childish.

This sounds to me like a very extreme situation with a particular individual who had a lot of other issues going on beneath the surface. I hope that this hasn't been your experience with masculine women in general, and I caution anyone against extrapolating this situation to unrelated interactions with women who don't express themselves femininely but don't have any animosity toward those who do. Red Pill, at least as this sub views it, is not necessarily meant to be an identity. It's a tool box. Takes what serves you and what improves your life and happiness. Leave the rest. You don't need pick one mold or the other.

"Basically married" is NOT married. It lacks the commitment. Don't let the fact that your lives are intertwined make you think that you're stuck with him forever, no matter what happens. He could be married to you already, but instead he's unattached and saying that he has all the privilege of marriage.

I’ll leave the makeup and hair advice to others, but my two cents is this: Prioritize your skincare. Your skin doesn’t need to be perfectly unblemished or wrinkle-free, but it should look healthy and moisturized. Makeup will look better when it’s a complement to well-cared for skin than when it’s used to cover up neglected skin issues. If you’re new to skincare there are some good resources in the sub r/skincareaddiction . Start with the basics: cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. If you choos…

If you’re using retinoids it’s super important to wear sunscreen every day. They increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun, which doesn’t just mean more suntan/burning, but also can mean more wrinkles and aging in the future. Not wearing sunscreen basically cancelling out the benefits of using them, or worse. I think it’s really wonderful for the body and mind to spend time outside every day, but sunscreen is a valuable tool for long term beauty, and critical if you’re using any retinol produc…

You could focus on building muscle rather than losing weight. That might mean you stay the same weight or even gain a few pounds, but it will show as “toning” on your arms, shoulders, hips, and legs, and make you generally look healthier and stronger. This way you won’t lose the fat that keeps your face plump, but you’ll still get the benefits of exercise. Not to mention, lifting weights is excellent for joint and bone health into older age. My two cents: my current boyfriend, who I believe will become my husband, is the 11th person I’ve had sex with. Our bond is incredibly beautiful, on a higher level than any bond I’ve experienced before. I’m definitely not jaded or used up, as some would assume. I am not religious, wasn’t raised with religion, and I doubt I’ll ever be interested in it. But my family values are still very “traditional” and mirror Christian values. Having sex with two people is vastly different from jumping from man to man dozens of times. I understand the arguments about pair bonding, and virginity being a gift to your husband, and there is some merit there, but it’s not all black and white. If you use Differin or any other retinol product, daily sunscreen application and reapplication, even if you are indoors, is essential. As was already said, you need to do your own research, don’t just copy someone else’s routine and expect it to give you the same results. I’m far from feminist and I know most ladies here are too, but come on, anyone who believes that grown adults, who take part in the workforce and are affected by political happenings, should not even have the OPTION to vote is frightening, frankly. I think it is very unwise to get married while in or fresh out of high school. I know there are people who have done so and are still happily married, but I don’t accept those anecdotes as sound enough reason to follow their footsteps. In the next few years you are about to change immensely. I graduated high school three years ago and while I’m still the same core person in many ways, I have changed my tune significantly in relationship dynamics, who I’m looking for, and how I want to “settle do…

Fitness is a sign that someone values their health. I understand there are extenuating circumstances that make it hard to be in shape, but if there’s anywhere in life where you should be picky, your potential spouse is it. Looking for health and fitness is a good, natural instinct. Don’t worry, you’re not being materialistic.

I went down a rabbit hole recently that included this article: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/qjdzwb/sophie-lewis-feminist-abolishing-the-family-full-surrogacy-now Her theory isn’t QUITE as extreme as the title makes it out to be — it’s definitely a click-bait title — but it sure is sad to know that there are people with no faith in the value of the nuclear family. Happy reading, or not, if you prefer to skip over it and do something more pleasant with your evening!

There are some gorgeous vintage lingerie collections on Etsy, and while there is a wide range of prices, I’ve found some real gems that are quite reasonably priced. You could always find cheaper from fast fashion sites, sure, but I haven’t found any new, high-quality, and sustainable lingerie brands within my budget that have the charm and wonder of vintage. And it feels very special to know that no one could go to the mall and find my chiffon nightie! Edit: I’ve had good luck with the search “v…

Outward Bound is such an incredible program. OP, a wilderness course might sound insane and be completely out of your realm, but Outward Bound offers programs designed for adults at any point in their lives to jump in regardless of outdoor experience. It’s up to you, the individual, to draw the line for yourself. Keep in mind that others may draw the line elsewhere, which might mean that they find the way your present yourself to be deceptive. This also means that some men will be more attracted, and some will be less attracted, at each level of enhancement/deception. Just something that your explanation made me think: people might see our tactics as “plate school” because we talk about submitting and letting the man lead the way, but they forget the crucial fact that first, we vet him to see if he’s worthy of our submission. I thing that women also have a biological need for the care and provisions of men, but that it doesn’t kick as strongly until they are pregnant/ have children. It would make sense that men’s drive for female acceptance is relatively constant throughout life because they don’t go through the massive biological change that is pregnancy. Both sexes are wired for what each other provides because that’s an essential componente of any successful species — if we did have that, we wouldn’t be reproducin…

I’m not OP, but I agree with him. I think that while women are more able to be content without the opposite sex, they require more socializing in general to be happy. Evolution implies a continuous lineage, necessitating partnership. Individual males might adapt to be more content, but because they’re not reproducing biological evolution is out of the question. Cultural evolution, though, starting as a small radical movement, could happen over time. I would say that MGTOW is creating that sort of evolution in a small group of men currently.

If you’re serious about loosing some weight, it seems like the CICO (calories in calories out) subreddit is helpful. Also, consider counting weekly calories rather than daily calories— one big cheat day could outweigh the six other days of calorie deficit, and leave you frustrated thinking that dieting doesn’t work. I was thinking primarily of the children: more stability at home leads them to do better at school and later on at work, reduces their risk of mental illness and detrimental habits, and makes them more stable potential partners once they grow up. Of course, unmarried/divorced/windowed/single people can raise wonderful children too, but having a healthy marriage at the center of a family gives kids a huge head start.

It’s definitely a catch-22. Things like the Me Too movement are condemning and preventing the worst outcomes of powerful men: sexual assault and harassment. Which is a good thing. But these social movements are also making men hesitant to do a lot of the good things that powerful men do in relationships, such as making the first move and being dominant over their partners in the way that women tend to find attractive.
/r/RedPillWomen13/06/20 10:54 PM
9

You’re exactly right about polarization. I agree that the outcomes are usually better in traditional relationships, and I do believe that data will continue to support that. But we humans love instant satisfaction and power, and I think that’s the common thread through the social justice movements that are taking us farther from traditional values. So people will disregard the facts about better outcomes in favor of having what they want, when they want it, exactly their way.
/r/RedPillWomen13/06/20 05:22 PM

I think that the divide between people who choose traditional relationships and those who find them to be oppressive will become ever more pronounced. I’d like to think that there will be some resurgence of traditional values, though, much to the disdain of social justice warriors, who will be the most vocal group. I think that the forever-live-in-girlfriend will become even more common as both genders fear the commitment of marriage but want the closeness of cohabitating. I think this casual vi…

If you have to ask whether a partner’s bad behavior is abusive, it probably is. And in this case it certainly is. We women have care and grace and service to give, but we mustn’t give those things to men who are not deserving of them. A man must be worthy of your love. Five months isn't necessarily a short time to have been together and to start sharing deep things. Honestly, sometimes a sexual encounter with an attractive man that is fun but doesn’t make me orgasm, is more satisfying than a solo orgasm (or several). Sure, some women can’t be satisfied without the orgasm, but that’s not always true for me. Lack of orgasm does not necessarily indicate bad sex. I think that what has been forgotten in a lot of these comments is that sex with another person is a social experience that can be enjoyable and valuable to a lot of people for that reason alone.

I think that the idea of virginity, at least as discussed here, is more about the emotional and social experience of having sex for the first time rather than the physical notion of the hymen. It’s about being completely naked and vulnerable with someone of the opposite sex for the first time, and talking on all the emotions and the risks, both physical (pregnancy, stds) and social (shame, unrequited love, confusion) that come with the act.

Ha yeah I don’t know how literally I believe OPs claims but she did spark an interesting discussion.

That’s a really interesting take on it. When I wrote that I was thinking about it on a small scale, like gossiping about a person because you don’t have anything else to talk about with your buddies. But I think you bring up some valid points about how others’ sexual behavior really does matter to society on a large scale, especially when children are the outcome of that behavior and thus require resources from the community.

Yeah! I totally get it if people feel that losing their virginity or saving their virginity or whatever other sexual choice they made benefited their life and they want to share that with others. I see no issue in talking about your experience and why you think it would be good for others too — if sharing about sex is your thing. It ain’t mine but I certainly have learned about myself because others chose to share, and I’m grateful for them! But that is very different from pushing your beliefs o…

The people who care so deeply about the sex lives of people with whom they aren’t having sex must live such boring lives.

I’m curious how many people actually know the parents of their friend’s significant other. Especially at a young age, where relationships are new and often short-lived, and particularly in college, where many students live states away from their families. I guess you should always act respectably in front of people’s parents, but that goes without saying. I don’t see the point of this post.

If you do this, you gotta use SPF! It’s a great help but it’s a serious product, not to be taken lightly. r/skincareaddiction for resources.

That’s up to you. See how you feel after they show you how they feel about your boundaries. If you’re put at ease and want to continue the date the go ahead, but you can’t make that hypothetical call in advance.

Not nail things, but going off the title about low budget beauty... An eyelash curler is the quickest way to make yourself look more awake and pretty. Can be found for a couple bucks at the dollar store. Follow it with mascara if you’d like, or just curl and go. When you moisturizer your skin each night, rub an tiny amount of moisturizer between your finger and thumb, and gently coat your eyelashes (top and bottom lashes!) with the moisturizer. For optimal hydration, make sure you’re doing this …

Don’t try to plan too much now for your future relationships. Spend time investing in yourself as your interests in the next few years. Put yourself first while you’re so young.

You should express to him what you’ve just expressed to us. This is not a STFU situation. Try to help him understand what you’ve told us, and see if you can guide him into a more dominant role. Yes, we must compromise on some things and accept some faults in our partners. But lack of sexual fulfillment is not a good place to settle. If you feel this way now, that feeling of lack will only grow unless you do something about it. It will turn into resentment and threaten your relationship. Not only…

I don’t have any specific advice, but I will caution you not to draw comparisons between yourself and other women in order to highlight your qualities. If you’re familiar with the “I’m not like other girls” trope/meme... yeah. That. Putting others down, or even just separating yourself from others in that way, is not a good way to go about it. Good luck!

I don’t think you’re ready to be married. You are so young, you will only benefit from waiting a couple more years. Work though your PTSD to the point where you aren’t so afraid of commitment. A man worth marrying will see that you are not ready and will be willing to wait a couple years.

You say you hope people will see your lazy appearance and think “she must have better things to do than worry about how she looks.” (Not any exact quote I realize, idk how to do that on mobile.) But have you ever looked at a person in a boring, unflattering outfit and thought to yourself, “wow, I bet they’re super interesting to talk to, I’d like to get to know them?” No. That’s not what runs though our heads when we see another plain looking person who blends in with every other guy on a colleg…

It sounds like your values and the general red pill values don’t mix so well. If you’re interested in fundamentally changing the way you act in relationships, stick around here. If not, you can find advice from more like-minded people on other subs. I’m sure there’s something in between this and the female dating strategy sub...
