I've done it. It's fulfilling and feels good but holy shit it's hard and exhausting. My actual job is so much easier it doesn't even compare. I couldn't handle it long term. I'm too spoiled by my office job where I barely do anything all do though lol My wife found staying home with the kids easier than her job.

I've never dated a woman who thought doing things to make me happy was the patriarchy. They just wanted reciprocity. They didn't want to clean up after me or cook all my meals, which I can't blame them for, I don't want another kid to take care of either.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 08:51 PM

As long as it's reciprocal that sounds like a normal relationship. Both partners making each other happy.

What does support mean in this context? Examples?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/26 06:31 PM

Agreed 100%. I'm attracted to a minority of women and all my friends have standards too. We won't date/fuck just anybody. Has to be someone we are attracted to.

What does he mean?

I'm bi and one thing I prefer about being with women is the nurturing and how much I feel cared for. It's not something I've gotten from men. My wife loves taking care of me, but if you asked her she'd say she doesn't want to be a guys "mother". By mother she means she doesn't want to clean up after me, have to nag me to do chores, remind me to brush my teeth, keep track of my schedule, cook all my meals etc. It doesn't mean she doesn't want to be a supportive partner.

He mentioned rugged body being conservative too, I guess he hasn't yet met any gay men.

Do you know many liberal men? What are they into? I'm a liberal man with liberal guy friends, we like hockey, hiking, camping, some are into cars, the gym etc. Pretty normal guy stuff. I'm trying to think of any major differences between the liberal and conservative mens interests and I really can't.

She posted it because he sounds like a loser. You can reject people without sounding so lame.

It generally isn't the expectation, though. Unless you're pursuing a very specific type of woman. Almost all couples have both people working.

If incel shit was as popular as it is now when I was a teenager I would have been FUCKED. I'm short and average looking. Instead I was told "don't be a fucking loser" by my peers, so I lived my life. I partied with friends, did fun shit, got comfortable talking to girls and never struggled to date.

Most normal ass women are dating normal ass men. But sure, try it. Good luck.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:09 PM

In most countries divorce is legal.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 02:20 PM

My wife is from a country famous for beautiful women dating ugly men, at least there's lots of jokes and memes about it and it seemed true when we visited. She has no desire to ever live there again haha. For many reasons.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 02:46 PM

I think the context matters. It's fairly rare for men not to be able to cum without a toy. We can usually cum from sex or at least a hand. Lots and lots of women can't orgasm from penetration or even with a hand so toy is their only way. Men's issues tend to be with getting hard more than needing a toy. Or maybe I live under a rock and needing a toy as a man is common, I dunno haha. I do think sex is much funner when neither person is insecure and both are interested in making their partner feel…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 12:37 AM

My wife needs a vibrator because she's desensitized from using one so much. Men don't use toys on their dick that much, and hands can grip as loose or tight as needed. I can't see a hand not working bit even if it was the case I'm sure she'd want to help find a solution. Condoms make me pretty much unable to cum tbh, luckily we've never really used them. I've also never used a dildo on my wife, just a vibrator, I'm not against it but she can't orgasm from penetration anyway so it'd be pointless.…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 12:23 AM

I'm trying to understand why she wouldn't be able to make me orgasm with her hands or mouth either, it seems like a far fetched scenario, but I know my wide is the most understanding and compassionate person I've ever met, if I was having trouble orgasming she'd want to help me find something that works. She's not against using toys on me anyway, we've tried prostate play numerous times.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 12:13 AM

Guys need pills to get hard all the time and generally women are pretty accepting. Is men needing toys to orgasm common? It's not something I've ever heard of tbh. I don't think my wife would care though.

She reads kinky stuff. It's not always something she wants to try in real life but sometimes it is. She asked me to fuck her while she's sleeping after reading smut about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 04:24 PM
10

I'm a fairly sex positive person, I've always done fine attracting similar women. I don't need to appeal to everyone. Toys can make sex more fun, it's important to not be intimidated by them. I've had a woman thank me for not being weird and insecure about her vibrator. My wife loves when I show an interest in her smut too, when she wants me to read something I know it's her way of saying "maybe we can try this".
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 01:13 PM

I'm talking about cases when fathers want custody. In many cases they don't and that's why women get it more. The default is 50/50 here and judges need a very good reason to stray from it, it doesn't happen much, no matter how shitty one of the parents is. There's way more complaints of "my ex should not have any custody" than "I don't have any custody and I should". I've dealt with the system a lot, many court dates, judges, lawyers. And my country doesn't have states.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 01:04 PM

Depends on where you live. In my country if both parents want custody it's 50/50, the only way someone doesn't get 50/50 is if there's serious abuse or neglect, actual charges, it's almost impossible to get full custody when both parents want it. Women still end up with it more because there's a lot of cases where men just don't want it, but if they want it then they get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 12:47 PM
7

It happens a lot. Another thing I notice people dois say something like "men don't ask questions on apps, they only want to talk about themselves" .. they assume it's a man thing because they are only interacting with men romantically so they are missing the fact that women do it too. It accounts for so many of the complaints here.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 11:39 PM

Then he's not a single dad. He's just a guy who has kids visiting a couple times a month. A guy who probably doesn't even like them very much if he's fine with barely seeing them.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 03:10 PM

That's not a single dad. Where I live it'd be a walking red flag because it takes something serious for one parent not to get 50% custody.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 03:05 PM

Some women like to be led, some want to micro manage every aspect of life. Gotta tailor your approach to the woman you want. My wife prefers planning and choosing. My ex hated it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 03:03 AM

I'm sure a redditor knows my marriage better than me.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 01:38 PM

There aren't enough rich men. Poor trashy women are still marrying poor trashy men.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 01:29 PM

Most people marry others similar to them in looks/money. Trophy wives to rich men exist but they aren't the norm.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 01:26 PM

Wealthy people shit that doesn't apply to your average marriages. My wife makes more than me, any assets or wealth we have now came from both of us. She has more status than me. We own a house but we are barely scraping by, and that's the norm.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 01:19 PM

I went to my wife's apartment to hang out/hook up and just never left. Now we own a house together haha
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 05:42 PM

I had one ex who wanted it less, other exes wanted it about the same. My wife wants it the same or sometimes more. I've been going through some mental health shit and my sex drive isn't what it should be lately but I try to make it happen regularly.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 01:25 PM

I did. I'm still unsure how he determined this represents every single woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 01:48 AM

Yeah there's lots of idiots on the internet, that's nothing new.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 01:34 AM

How does one woman doing something shitty prove none if the 4 billion women on the planet can love a man? This is too dumb to even engage with
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/26 01:29 AM

I've slways done fine offline and terrible on apps. It helps when you're not just a picture and list of stats. You actually have a chance to let them see your other qualities and get to know you. Not with cold approaches though, but within your social circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 10:19 PM
6

It's true. A lot of them are completely unable to have a normal pleasant platonic conversation with a woman yet they are trying to date. They are lacking the prerequisite social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 12:08 PM

Yeah very conveniently ignored
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 10:13 PM

If you live together in a 1 bedroom when you'd otherwise live in it alone it's cheaper.

Rent has basically doubled here over the past 10 years and I'm in Canada. It's happening everywhere unfortunately.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 07:08 PM

I wasn't comparing it to someone being financially supported by parents, that's different. But for people paying their own way, it's cheaper to split.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 07:05 PM

Sure kids are expensive I wont deny that. But living with someone in a relationship makes life makes cheaper. You can split rent and utilities.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 07:00 PM

My point was it doesn't really matter who pays because it should be cheap.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 12:02 AM

However you want to do it is up to you. Just saying it shouldn't be expensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 11:55 PM

I've never dated a woman that didn't also treat me. My first date with my wife we got mcdonalds and she paid.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 11:42 PM
3

Then don't do it. I always liked treating the person I'm on a date with.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 09:36 PM

Absolutely. Some guys are really into that. Normally I'm not but occasionally I'll meet an older woman and think she's hot. My boss is in her mid 40s and has complained about how many younger guys on apps hit on her. I will say for most guys into order women it seeks to be just a sex thing, they don't want a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 02:15 PM

Okay then don't. I buy my friends coffee all the time, I don't see it any different, it's just a nice thing to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 01:28 PM
19

First few dates shouldn't even be expensive. Get a coffee. Go for a walk. Get a drink. Visit a museum. Get icecream. The point is to talk and get to know each other, you don't need a sit down meal for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 11:13 AM

The point is you need SOMETHING going for you. You can't be ugly and boring and awkward etc. You need at least one positive trait. If you're unattractive physically it'll have to be your personality
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 01:55 AM

Partly fascination. Partly trying to add a voice of experience because I know this subreddit leans virgin according to polls.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 11:58 AM

Yeah it's no guarantee, but a woman who is really into gay porn/smut is more likely to be into bi men then one who isn't. I've dated a couple women who enjoyed gay smut (and married 1) and me being bi has been a positive. I've had 3somes with my wife because she so badly wanted to see me with another man.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 11:56 AM

I like women platonically and think they have different opinions and tastes and ways of thinking instead of AWALT so that makes me blue.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 11:52 AM

I've dated a couple girls into it, I married one. She loves that I'm bi, she's respectful about it. She probably likes gay sex more than I do tbh. It's great though.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 04:00 PM
8

That's not what I'm talking about. They aren't adding token gay characters. They are reading and writing erotic stories about gay sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 03:46 PM
30

As a bi guy I mostly agree. I'll say this though, every subreddit for bi men is full of bi men bragging about cheating on their wives or trying to cheat on their wives. I chat with bi men on reddit sometimes and if they're married there's about a 90% chance they're going to mention cheating or trying to cheat. So sometimes I don't blame women for being worried about that. I also think the number of women disgusted by bi men is overblown. There's a significant amount of women who are really into …
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 02:47 PM

Similar.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 02:21 PM

I'm saying the ohrase doesn't need to be there. Unless they specifically exclude it then it would count. It's usualkyworded as just some form of unwanted sexual contact.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 02:04 PM

There's lots of forms of sexyal assault, unless specifically excluded it would just fall under that category.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:37 PM

Generally those places still define "made to penetrate" as sexual assault when they don't call it rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:29 PM

Why is this just about women? People who think alcohol makes someone unable to consent say it for both genders. Amd some mental conditions do make people unable to consent, men too though, I'm still unsure why you're just talking about women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:06 PM

Hey, thanks so much for this. Really.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 12:43 PM
8

I'm selfish. I'm not the most reliable. I have bad adhd and other mental health issues like ptsd. I don't always think I'm contributing equally. I lack patience. I waste a lot of money on cigarettes, alcohol, doordash etc. I have too many flaws to list.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 11:29 AM
5

By decent I mean not an asshole, cares about others, is mature, dependable, loyal, pulls his weight, respectable etc. Good goes above and beyond. A lot of traits are shared between being good and having your shit together but there's certainly some good men who don't have their shit together through no fault of their own. I don't think there's many good guys here at all. Gender war shit doesn't attract good guys. I don't think I'm a good guy either.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 11:08 AM
7

It's a rough economy and a lot of men right now are bitter when it comes to dating. I don't think women are better.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 11:04 AM
20

Decent guys with their shit together]? Maybe 10-25%. Depends on the area. This subreddit tends to lean bitter virgin though. I don't think it's a good representation of anything.

There are more men on the apps and they tend to be more desperate, putting effort in isn't as necessary.

My teenager would have actually murdered me if I celebrated her period.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 02:15 PM

The ones who are that desperate with no standards project it on every guy. They can't fathom the idea that anyone but Chad is able to have standards or even date at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 10:23 AM

Because the post is about loneliness. Someone being lonely and wanting a sexual relationship doesn't mean they are entitled to one.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 09:40 PM

Never said anyone was.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 09:26 PM

If there's no attraction it'll just be a shitty sexless relationship and that doesn't seem enjoyable for either person.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 09:26 PM

By then you've built up a solid foundation. I'd never start a relationship with someone I don't find sexy.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 09:24 PM

Being alone or in an unhappy sexless relationship with someone they're not attracted to, both sound shitty.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 02:01 PM

It's larping "having a normal happy life" but I'd bet the loneliness is real.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 12:00 PM

And she'd still be lonely because women crave sex and affection too.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 11:55 AM

If a woman isn't attracted to a guy I don't think it'd be a very fulfilling or happy relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/26 11:50 AM

Yeah there's different reasons guys are able to get laid easily, doesn't necessarily mean they're hot. I never felt hot despite not struggling to get laid.

For sure. Too much algorithm not enough actual socializing.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 09:09 PM

I don't think it means you're attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 09:08 PM

I've been able to get casual sex by being extroverted and funny and not afraid to flirt, not because I'm attractive, so it's never made me feel attractive. Pretty drunk girls don't always have the highest of standards despite what this subreddit thinks. My friend who has the most casual sex is 5'8 and bald, he's just ridiculously charming and has a nice body at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/26 09:08 PM

Casual sex did nothing to boost my self esteem.

I'm not overly ambitious. I'm emotional and sometimes talk about my feelings. I love taking care of my kids. I'm bi. I've never been a particularly "manly" man. My ex had a huge problem with it, luckily my wife doesn't mind it at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 05:04 PM

That's her parents contributing, not her. I'm not saying I don't appreciate it, I'm so thankful, they helped us with a down-payment on a house and other large expenses. It's not her money though.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 01:04 PM

My wife makes a bit more than me. We split 50/50 for the most part. We have a joint account we use for bills, savings, groceries, etc that we both contribute too. We also have personal accounts that we keep the rest of our money in, we do whatever we want with it. Money is tight but we manage. It's a constant stress but somehow we pull through. Her parents have helped us financially quite a bit. I'm 30 and she's 28.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 12:23 PM

I didn't want kids at all and neither did my wife. Our first was an "oops" baby. I don't regret having kids, they are the best thing in my life, it's not what I would have chose so I'm glad it happened despite us trying to prevent it.

/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 01:46 PM

Yes. Accept dying alone without experiencing love, marriage or sex. It's unfortunate but life isn't fair. Those things must be freely chosen and if no one chooses you rgen you don't get them. Women tend to not want, or want fewer kids, even with the men they do choose. It's because parenting is miserable and unrewarding these days and I say that as someone with kids. There's no easy fix either. Our communities are destroyed, there's no more "village", and the expectation is that everyone be a he…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 12:20 PM

Happy people in relationships/marriages usually aren't posting about it online. Women tend to have a lot of intense desire for specific men, just not men as a whole. I relate because I'm pretty picky about what I'm attracted to as well. I'm not usually attracted to random strangers.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 01:40 AM

All my wife reads is gay romance. It's very popular among women I've been told.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 10:26 PM

Agreed. I see this shit from conservative women a hell of a lot more than left wing women. Even a woman being a feminist doesn't mean she's not conservative.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:53 PM

Women being so much more progressive about gender stuff is why the attitudes towards bi men is so frustrating.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 02:39 PM
5

"Not a real woman" just isn't really a thing, unless it's about trans women. It's very acceptable for women to be masculine or do "man" things. It's actually seen as cool in a lot of cases, or even hot. No one sees them as not a woman. Women can express themselves in a wide variety of ways. Masculinity/being a man is very narrow by comparison. Doing womanly things is not cool at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 02:01 PM
6

Most women are turned off by it. But the ones who aren't, tend to like it a lot, even prefer it and are turned on by it. Just gotta find someone in that minority. There's a decent amount of women who are really, really into guy on guy stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 12:56 PM
16

I wouldn't say I'm overly feminine but I'm a bi guy who has talked to a lot of women about it, and the number 1 reason for their disgust is that they don't see us "real men". Real men don't do things women do. Doing things women do ruins us. We are ruining the image of men by stooping to women's level.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 11:05 AM
6

I criticize women regularly enough (especially with regards to their opinions about bi men) but makeup? Why would we ever criticize that? I'm not into women who wear a lot of makeup so I just didn't date one. Some guys like the look, a lot do actually. It's personal preference.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 10:25 AM

People answer tons of bullshit in studies too. At some point you just need to trust that enough people are honest, it's easier if you know them personally and see how they live and behave, but they can lie.

My experience with reality, and my wife has been interested in incels for a long long time, so she got me into the other side of things.

I disagree that most of the complaints are as widespread as the complainers think. Most men on here are virgins. They are angry at social media algorithms.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 07:57 PM

I've always been social, I've had a large friend group since I was a kid. I've been dating and fucking since I was a teenager. I've traveled a decent amount too.

The answer to most complaints on here.

They get the drugs regardless, they like him because they find him "cool".
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 11:06 AM

Not that extreme, but some average looking dude with co fudence and access to drugs will have plenty of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 10:57 AM
8

Just means you sometimes need more than a good body/nice face.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 11:35 PM
10

Why would I be bothered by the fact that a woman isn't attracted to most men?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 11:30 PM
1

Oh, probably not that common. We got lucky.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 02:19 PM
1

Bi men? Fairly common. Women who like gay sex? Fairly common. Them ending up together? Probably not that common.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 02:16 PM
2

I'm bi. She thinks guy on guy stuff is hot. We have a bi friend we do it with occasionally, he's also married but it's kind of a dead bedroom and his wife doesn't mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 12:16 PM
3

Depends on what the couple is okay with. My wife and I aren't really jealous people and we've had 3somes, so it's not a huge deal as long as it never leads to anything
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/26 01:12 AM

Oh god same, Any time I see someone recommend CBT...
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 06:42 PM

None of my kinks involve her being in discomfort or pain. Some involve me being in discomfort or pain though.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 06:21 PM

If I was attracted to her in every other way, probably. Not the same but my wife has inverted nipples and I find it cute.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 04:15 PM

Being social and flirting is fun and I do occasionally miss it. I don't want to fuck another woman but I miss the act of building chemistry and sexual tension with someone new. I can see why some guys find it humiliating especially nowadays but I used to love it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 11:14 AM
1

My wife has never cum from penetration. If we only did intercourse it would not be a good experience for her.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 11:08 AM
2

Yeah sometimes. The effort is always matched by her trying to make sure it's a good experience for me too though.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 11:06 AM
2

I love it, especially if she's edging me with it and taking her time.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/26 11:04 AM
2

They are with women who aren't that into them then. I've never been with a woman who doesn't suck dick. I've never even heard of them outside of religious communities.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 03:10 PM
55

Yeah I noticed he completely left out blowjobs when talking about men doing all the work.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 12:49 PM

Women want men to WANT to make them orgasm. If you tell a woman to get stronger knees to do it herself she probably won't have sex with you again. It should be mutual, you should both want to make the other cum. How boring would sex be if it was just about yourself? Half the fun is making the other person feel good.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/26 11:56 AM
25

Dating apps seem pretty hopeless. I still see average looking guys with girlfriends everywhere though, and all the women I know are just dating average men. Hell I'm average looking and short and I've never really struggled in person, just on apps. Gotta ditch the apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 08:52 PM
1

Regardless of who is describing them they do exist. I just think they're a fringe minority. The men on this sub like to act like all men are desperate and pathetic with zero standards though and it's something I often argue against, defending men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:48 PM
1

The incels who think women shouldn't have a choice is what feminists would probably say is contributing to rape culture. That's my guess. I don't personally think rape culture is a thing in the west. .
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:46 PM
1

Correct, I doubt many people would call that rate culture. Just the more extreme ones, the takes that get them banned from reddit but they share on their other incel forums.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:19 PM
2

Feminists saying some men go crazy when they can't get laid doesn't mean they're pushing "rape culture". They're just making an observation. Some men absolutely act like nutjobs about it, and they are the loudest.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:53 AM
1

Yeah it's becoming less common but still happens a lot. Most women in my life are in relationships so they all wish it happened even less. I could see single women complaining.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 05:41 PM
2

OP is the one who described those men. I don't think the vast majority of men are like that. I don't think most men are nearly as pathetic and desperate as this sub thinks they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 04:28 PM
26

I think a lot of people would say men going crazy and hating women because they think the women should have sex with them is part of rape culture. Personally I'm just not a fan of the term rape culture though.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 01:08 PM

I pretty much never eat breakfast honestly. I'll have one bug Neal a day and then a big snack before bed.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 12:44 PM

Most women seem to have too much male attention in my experience so they are more greatful. My wife and her friends still get approached regularly.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/26 10:25 AM
1

I've never seen men undressed in these situations. Maybe shirtless but still wearing clothes. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I'd be shocked. Do you have examples where they are undressed? Or have any expressed discomfort at being seen clothed in locker rooms? It's not something I'd have an issue with so I'm just trying to understand. These things are usually televised anyway and with no nudity.
/r/MensRights19/05/26 04:25 PM
6

If someone had a negative experience with every man in their life I'd say the same thing. That other dude is extremely good looking but has nonstop stories of every woman being comedic levels of terrible to him so I just have to wonder what the hell is happening during his interactions with them. I'm short and average looking and most women are nice to me, even if they don't want to have sex with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 04:21 PM

It'd be nice, if you're both fine without sex. I think the older you get the more it would make sense to stay. My wife is 28, I'm 30, I don't think either of us would want to give up sex for the rest of our lives, and neither of us would want to have sex knowing the other person isn't attracted to us.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 01:03 PM

Right, nothing about it is realistic. I just wouldn't be mad at her for not staying if there was no attraction. That sounds miserable for both parties.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 12:56 PM

If she wasn't attracted to me anymore I wouldn't expect her to stay with me. I wouldn't want to be with someone who wasn't attracted to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 12:53 PM

I wouldn't begrudge her for either choice. Both make sense in a way. I'd hope she'd choose the ugly guy with my mind because I'd want to stay with her but I'd understand if she didn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 12:44 PM

There's lots of women who wouldn't date drug dealers too. Trashy men tend to get trashy women though. But unfortunately for socially awkward men, socially awkward women don't tend to want them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/26 10:22 AM
18

I'm bi. I'd say 10-20% ish for men. I'd say similar for women. I'm a bit picky I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 11:06 PM
6

There's one common denominator in all your negative interactions.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 11:01 PM

I think it requires a professional at this point and I mean that nicely.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 10:14 PM

Ok. It's quote obvious by now you are doing something socially "wrong" since you're a good looking guy. I wish I could help you man.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 09:44 PM
31

The kind of guy who is scared to talk to or be alone with women isn't exactly the kind of guy women want anyway. That's a weird socially awkward guy. Usually confident men are preferred.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 09:34 PM
1

The ratings are pretty useless tbh. A guy that other men might see as a 9 might be seen as a 7 by most women. I've seen guys call women a 6 who I'd see as a 9. I think in real life has a bit of a mix of average and hot people but online dating skews unattractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 04:46 PM

I was responding to a guy who said it was uncommon.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 04:43 PM

Oh yeah they think it's virtuous of them
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 04:23 PM

This is different women having different opinions on how dating should go.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 04:01 PM

/r/MensRights18/05/26 01:34 PM
1

Same, I hate the way I look in pictures, I hate my stupid fake smile. I somehow end up looking very cute/innocent/harmless which isn't exactly hot. I do fine in person though when I actually have a personality and body language and facial expressions etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 01:29 PM
2

Yeah just saying it's hardly surprising they aren't attracted to most men on there.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 01:26 PM
3

The same. Why would it be different? The more attractive people are either already in a relationship or just date "normally" through social connections.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 01:24 PM
4

Some people look worse in pictures than in person too, although the opposite also happens to even it out haha
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 01:23 PM
4

Those guys probably make up a small minority but the bulk seems to be guys who struggle to date. At least watching friends swipe that's what it looks like.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 01:11 PM
6

Those men are with average or ugly women since they are aren't hot themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 01:07 PM
5

I'd guess the type of men who use dating apps are probably already less attractive on average. I'm sure that contributes a bit. But yeah, a lot of men just aren't attractive to women when just going by a few pictures.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/26 01:06 PM
15

Having pictures of yourself on social media and going out wearing "immodest clothes" isn't remotely the equivalent to hitting on soneone.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 10:53 PM
16

Every time I think I've seen the most batshit insane take on here someone decides to one up it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 10:44 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/26 10:25 PM

People call the ones spending their free time ranting about females online that. The ones actually living their best lives aren't online bitching about women. They are living their best lives. He doesn't have to identify as "MGTOW".
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:49 PM

No one is mad that some men want to be single. No one cares. People have their own life to live.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:41 PM

Everyone should be looking after themselves. I'm not wasting any energy on some gender war shit though. I take care of myself and I care about the people closest to me, regardless of their gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:18 PM

Nah I married a good one. She is good to me. Amazing wife, fantastic mother, all around incredible person who I love and admire. We give equally.
/r/MensRights15/05/26 05:14 PM
3

No one really asked anyone out. We had sex and started spending all our free time together before we ever went on a "date", eventually it was just like "so I guess we are a couple". That's how all of my relationships have started tbh. I'm sure I'd still be called a jester though because I love making her happy. It's mutual though.
/r/MensRights15/05/26 04:38 PM

Our relationship started after I met her doing an escape room with a coworker. We had instant chemistry. Started talking nonstop. It escalated pretty quickly afterwards.
/r/MensRights15/05/26 04:04 PM

Admitting my wife was right about something doesn't make me a jester. She's also wrong about lots of things too, don't worry.
/r/MensRights15/05/26 03:53 PM

I don't care about anal. It would never be a deal breaker to me. I don't care if I ever fuck a woman in the ass again. It's overrated.

Gotta find one of those women who cries over inanimate objects. They got the big hearts.
/r/MensRights14/05/26 06:01 PM

She's the kindest person I've ever met. She cared about mens issues before I did.
/r/MensRights14/05/26 05:50 PM
7

I appreciate her very much for that. At the time I hadn't thought very deeply about it. I just figured I'm cut so we'd get him cut. There's been zero issues.
/r/MensRights14/05/26 05:43 PM
33

It was actually my wife who convinced me it was wrong. I wanted to get our son cut because I am. She was horrified by the idea and made me feel like shit but it worked. He's uncut. She convinced me it was a bodily autonomy issue and that it should be his choice.
/r/MensRights14/05/26 05:35 PM
16

You just need the right people. I have friends and a wife who care about me, check in on me, support me, and I can cry with them and feel cared for in return. I don't keep shitty people in my life.
/r/MensRights14/05/26 11:15 AM

If you surround yourself with the right people you can have those things.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 12:04 PM

It's her body, of course she decides if a kid can live inside it or not. I'm still glad she can make the choice to not have more. We have kids already and don't want more. I'd suffer too if birth control/abortion were restricted.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 11:52 AM
27

My wife being on birth control takes nothing from me. It gives me the ability to cum inside her without worry. That's a plus for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 11:49 AM

Women aren't my enemy. I don't want policies that harm them. Abortion and birth control benefit me too. I don't want any more kids.

I'm just talking about how many men who have sex with mendont see themselves aa bi and don't consider themselves attracted to men. It's very common among men who have sex with men.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/26 10:32 PM

If "yourself" is fat or socially awkward or off-putting in some way, you might need to make changes.

Yeah. That sounds right. Love isn't a charity.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 04:40 PM

I've been saying that. They want a step by step rubric that will work 100% of the time, no grey area, no nuance, no fickle human emotions.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 12:41 AM

Of course money matters, especially for attracting a certain type of woman. People wanting to date people they're attracted to is a universal thing not a "red pill belief"
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/26 12:37 AM

It's like they've never heard girls talk about hot guys before.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 11:56 PM

They somehow believe Movies and TV shows teach that looks don't matter even though the hot guy gets the girl in 99% of media.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 11:27 PM

Sometimes my wife is exhausting when she wants to constantly be doing stuff and going places when I just want to chill at home, I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 05:06 PM

They don't make me feel exhausted in ways men don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 04:57 PM

If a guy is going to fuck me he better suck my dick. I can't imagine not wanting that haha
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 04:29 PM

Some gay men are more intense about gender roles than straight people, I swear, especially the bottoms. They absolutely see themselves as "the woman" and are disgusted by the idea of their "man" having been degraded in the past. Some of them don't even like it if a top has sucked dick before. It's weird. I'm vers and I prefer vers guys for that reason. I seem to mostly attract tops though.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 04:21 PM

I'd never get matches on apps but I do fine in person. I'm confident and likable. It definitely matters.

A lot of the men are similar, they see sucking dick/getting fucked as degrading and that's why it turns them on.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:07 PM
3

I personally don't see them as straight, but it's interesting because they aren't really into men just dicks.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:36 AM

Fuck no. I like being a man. I can't think of any reason I'd want to be a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:28 AM
15

I'm a bi guy with a lot of experience with guys into that stuff. There's a significant subset of otherwise "straight" men who have what I call a dick fetish. They don't like men normally. They're not into men's bodies or faces. They are attracted to women. But they fucking love dick. Most of them don't identify as "queer" and live straight lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/26 02:11 AM

Insecurity can turn real toxic in a relationship if the people aren't mature enough to handle it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 09:21 PM

They think ugly men are desperate enough to do anything to make a woman happy. In reality a lot of ugly men are bitter, hateful and insecure as a result of growing up ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 09:15 PM
21

It's hilarious that they assume undesirable guys would automatically be better partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 07:28 PM

I don't think men supporting men requires men's only spaces. I've met most of my guy friends through work or hobbies or other friends. When I spend time with them it's usually at a bar, someone's living room, a park, hiking, etc. The existence of women in any of those spaces hasn't been a hindrance. There's always beer leagues and other casual sports teams. They tend to be all men.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 02:46 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 12:00 PM

Yeah there's so many factors that go into why someone has trouble dating or not. It's hard to quantify.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 11:41 AM

I'm average looking and short but I'm confident and funny. I've had a pretty average dating/sex life.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 11:37 AM

Most attractive men actually have decent social skills, they grew up with friends and people who like them. They had lots of opportunities to learn.

What media portrayed ugly but kind and polite men getting the girl? It's still not something I grew up with so I'm curious. There may have been 2 hot guys and the girl chose the nicer one, that was common. I think this "lie" was overblown. I had sisters and female friends, I knew who they had crushes on, it was hot guys. I knew I liked hot girls and assumed it was the same for them. I've never had some revelation about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 12:03 PM
2

What media? Every movie, show, etc has a hot guy getting the girl and has girls crushing on the hot guys. Growing up the girls around ne always talked about which male celebrities/singers were hottest too. I can't think of any way I'd have been under the impression girls didn't want hot guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 11:54 AM

It's unfortunate and frustrating how many homophobic women there are, I guess, especially when they always seem so progressive otherwise. Luckily there's always been a decent minority of women that's really into it too, though .
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/26 11:14 PM

I think most bi guys already do this? I married a woman who loves the fact thst I'm bi. I have too much self respect for anything less.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/26 11:11 PM

Yes I would. I've done that stuff in the past too, it's not a big deal to me.

I'm not the type to usually complain about women's dating preferences. I'm usually defending them. That being said, I live in an extremely gay friendly place and I'm straight passing, so I know I'm privileged, but I've never experienced threats, or insults or hatred or anything like that from men directly. Never from women in a platonic sense either. I've only experienced disgust/hatred from women when it comes to them not being into bi men.

I respect them. I just know I'm not capable.

Right there's no principles. There's nothing to critique, it just means someone isn't a RP. You can criticize whatever behaviors you want, you can even talk about how common they are. You just can't expect random people to answer for them just because they also happen to not be RP. That's silly. Just because I'm not RP doesn't mean I have to agree with every other possible opinion out there. Something is only a contradiction when it's the same person holding both beliefs. Some BP night be sex po…

I was asking you to clarify what you mean by that. I'm just an average guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/26 12:37 PM
1

Preselected? How?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/26 12:35 PM
1

It sucks if no one wants to talk to you but all you can do is accept it while potentially working on why. You said you're awkward during conversations, looking away, not asking questions and giving short answers. That doesn't make for an enjoyable conversation unfortunately. I'm not sure why you expect people to want that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/26 12:08 PM
6

Because if you're wrong about assuming the woman is socially inept then you've made someone uncomfortable/scared and made others think you're a creep. It's not worth it. And yeah not talking to anyone isn't ideal either, but the middle ground is ending conversations politely when the person doesn't seem interested. Do you struggle with talking to men too or just women?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/26 11:01 AM
6

Having a conversation with someone who doesn't want a conversation with you isn't better than having no conversation. All it accomplishes is making someone uncomfortable and anyone who witnesses thinks you're weird/creepy. I wouldn't go by what you do either, isn't really the norm and you struggle with socialization. For regular people, those things mean they don't want to be talking to you. Continuing to try to converse is going to get you a shitty reputation. I've seen women do this too, altho…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/26 10:43 AM

They are difficult to learn if you didn't learn as a kid/teen. It's why I'm worried for younger generations. You gotta get out of your comfort zone. Gotta see how other people do things. The bare minimum to not be creepy is to get good at recognizing when someone is not interested in having a conversation with you. They look away a lot, don't ask questions, give short answers, they don't seem excited... it's wild how many guys keep pushing the conversation at that point.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/26 10:22 AM

The only advice I give is what has worked for me. I don't expect it to work for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 09:58 PM

I don't think that there are many, if any, universal truths in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 09:51 PM
7

I'm sure some BP people say those things, and some don't. There's no set of BP beliefs or guidelines to follow. Just a lot of individuals with their own opinions.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 09:38 PM
18

BP is just "not red pill", it has a lot of different beliefs. There's variety within RP too. I don't consider it a contradiction if 2 different RPs believe contradictory things. You listed a bunch of random stuff other people have said and expect us to taje accountability for it. That's not how it works. I can't control what other people believe. There's nothing to "follow" with BP.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 09:33 PM
23

I don't say most of that stuff. There's no blue bill Bible I follow that says those things either. I don't care what contradictory stuff random strangers online say.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 09:22 PM
1

If you're going to date within your social circle you need to be really good at reading people dude, it's risky if your social skills aren't great amd you end up making someone uncomfortable. I've seen that play out with awkward guys wo don't realize a woman doesn't want him to hit on her.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/26 11:23 AM
1

And some men say a woman is a slut if she has sex before marriage. Ignore them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/26 10:31 PM
9

This is the biggest problem struggling men online have. They see dating as black and white and want a notarized step by step action plan that will guarantee them a relationship and sex. If a woman says something that goes against what another woman has told them they see it as a gotcha moment and assume one must be lying. They can't even fathom that different people prefer different things and that there's no one method that will always work.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/26 03:20 PM

Gender doesn't matter, I'm bi anyway. Regardless I want someone physically attractive, kind, smart, responsible, affectionate, ambitious and emotionally intelligent. Their gender doesn't change anything.

This is the way.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 02:53 PM

Pregnancy is a well known risk of cumming inside a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 02:57 AM

If no one is willing to adopt it then the parents should be responsible
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 02:32 AM

He deposited the sperm. That's quite a bit of input.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 02:30 AM
2

Consent to sex means there's a risk of creating a person. We need better sex Ed if people don't know that. Putting your sperm inside someone's vagina is how babies are made. If you create a person, you pay for it. I don't mind my tax dollars going towards helping poor kids, as long as the parents are also contributing.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 11:33 PM
7

We hold people financially accountable for their decisions all the time. It's not the same as letting another person live inside your body.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 11:00 PM
8

We need better sex education so men understand the risks of sex then.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 10:59 PM
7

It's both, but bodily autonomy is why it's different for men than women. Men's choice ends at who they cum inside, women's choice ends at whether they let a fetus live inside them. Their body is involved so they get the extra choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 10:58 PM
12

Yeah I wouldn't call lying about birth control rape. I just mean when a person didn't consent to sex. And women do know pregnancy is a risk of sex. That's why they want legal abortion.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 10:15 PM
15

Women who are charged with rape should not be awarded child support. Pregnancy is a known risk of sex so men should be careful who they cum inside, that's exercising their bodily autonomy. No one is making them parent but if you create a person you need to support it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 10:05 PM
11

Right, I disagree. Men deserve bodily autonomy and that means choosing who they cum inside.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 10:04 PM
9

The most common argument for abortion though is bodily autonomy. Men also have that with regards to pregnancy, they choose who they cum inside. After that their organs aren't involved anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 09:59 PM
12

If a man was raped he should not have to pay since he didn't consent. I agree there.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 09:57 PM
11

Yeah, every law is about state control. If you want to argue people shouldn't be made to financially support their kids that's fine, but it's not implied just because someone wants to respect bodily autonomy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 09:53 PM
13

Right, whether parents should have to support their kids can be debated. It's a different issue but it's worth discussing. Believing in bodily autonomy doesn't mean a person will believe parents don't have to support their kids though.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 09:51 PM
18

Whether people should be forced to financially support their children should be discussed and debated but it's not contingent on whether people deserve bodily autonomy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 09:50 PM
12

There's lots of times we require people to pay for things they don't want to pay for, bodily autonomy is a much bigger deal. Yeah paying for stuff sucks but it isn't even close to the same as having someone grow inside your body. They are completely separate issues that should he discussed and debated on their own merit.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 09:43 PM
66

The main problem choice argument is bodily autonomy. They want control over whether someone else is living inside them and using their organs. There's not really a male equivalent.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 09:37 PM

I fell in love without ever having to use dating apps and it feels like I dodged a bullet. I have a lot of sympathy for both genders trying to date right now.

I cheated when I was younger, in 2 relationships. I had some undiagnosed nental health issues and the relationships were toxic, not that it's an excuse. I'd never cheat on my wife.

Yup. Instant attraction. Lust. Having women basically drooling over him, desperate to have sex, even better if she's normally a "good"/"innocent" girl.

My wife (28) has a huge crush on a 19 year old NHL player. She watches all his games, looks at tiktok edits etc. I don't think it's wrong but I wonder how she would feel if I openly crushed on a 19 year old girl.

I'm not the most attractive guy, I'm short, but even I've never been able to relate to the desperate guys with no standards. I'm picky. I've never struggled that much with women because I'm pretty extroverted and social.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 02:31 PM

It's pretty universal advice not to stay with women like that. Unfortunately a lot of men are desperate and have zero standards.

I'm not trying to paint women as interesting. I'm a guy and I also don't want to date someone socially awkward or unattractive. Dating preferences shouldn't be about how interesting it makes you.

They have extremely black and white thinking. In their universe woken are robots who all think the exact same way and are programmed to want chad. Social skills don't matter, only being chad matters. I think it's partially a defense mechanism. They don't need to improve or do any introspection and get to see themselves as a victim of shallow women. Some are also just in major denial that they could possibly be weird or awkward.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 12:07 PM

I know it's not better to hear, that's why a lot of guys would rather blame something they can't change.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 11:57 AM
7

"Maybe he said something slightly awkward that killed the mood. Maybe she simply didn’t like his tone, his vibe, or the way he carried himself." These reasons women reject men are so incredibly common but almost completely ignored by struggling men because it's easier to blame it on something they can't change, like looks or height.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 11:27 AM
1

Definitely agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 02:58 PM

I don't even know what the female version of my stats is, and my attraction to a woman depends a lot on face in addition to body.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 12:49 AM
15

I'm a man, my attraction to women has nothing to do with them matching my stats.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/26 12:44 AM

It's relentless. There's no break. Our 3 year old is autistic, the 5 year old has a stutter, between them both they're in dance, tae kwon do, hockey... I don't even remember who I am anymore other than a father. And money is always tight of course. There's always something to be stressed about. Maybe our washer breaks. Then the microwave. Then a kid is sick and I have to miss work. I'm hanging on because I know it'll get easier when they're older.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 10:37 PM

I'm bi myself and married to a far left feminist. I've mostly only run into the man hating ones online thankfully, in person it hasn't been an issue. I don't spend time in LGBT groups though.
/r/MensRights06/03/26 09:22 PM

Little of both. We have young kids so there's not much wiggle room for mental health breaks without overburdening the other. There's constant extra curriculars, therapies, laundry never ends, lunches to pack, etc. I love my kids but this wasn't the life I planned and I'm struggling big time.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 08:24 PM

I know I use mental health as an excuse too much to avoid doing shit. My wife is an angel and puts up with a lot from me so if putting the toaster away every use makes her happy, I gotta at least try haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 07:46 PM
2

I think the biggest issue is just that men are satisfied if things are mostly clean, good enough, and a lot of women want the house to look like a picture from a magazine, or men are okay waiting until later to do it but women like it done right away. That's the problems in my marriage anyway, beyond me not doing as much as I should. I'm making sure our kids don't see their mom as "the one who cleans" at least, so that's a start. Probably best just to meet in the middle somewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 07:26 PM

It's okay, I partied a lot when I was younger and I've come to really appreciate the "boring" life of being a husband and dad.
/r/MensRights06/03/26 04:11 PM

True I'd be interested in the breakdown for both working normal 40 hour weeks. I'd guess with parenting duties included the women still generally do more. I'm just always shocked by how little some dads do for their kids. Things are definitely getting more equal though.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 01:56 PM
6

Some places have done a better job of leaving the gender roles behind. In my experience in Canada the issue is that the idea of women working too progressed way faster than the idea that men clean too. So there's still somewhat of a "lag". In almost every case both people work now but there's still catching up to do when it comes to making chores more equal. Adding kids to the mix makes it even more obvious, with women doing a lot more of the parenting stuff usually, although men are doing a lot…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 12:09 PM

I mostly agree but I won't pretend ingrained gender roles aren't a thing. Studies do show women do more housework even if your experience doesn't match it, women gave more pressure to do housework and a lot of men don't see it as their job or just don't care. I do less than my wife, I'm doing my best but I have pretty bad mental health issues and I find her standards difficult to keep up with. She keeps the house spotless despite multiple kids. She's eastern European and grew up knowing women ar…

60k to her 75k. Our only shared asset is the house, we'd sell it and split the money. That's standard here.

She makes more than me. We both work. I'm not concerned. If anything, she's contributed way more to the marriage than me and in a divorce she'd probably be screwed over more than me.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 12:48 PM

Same. I just think it should be a natural thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 02:49 AM

For the most part everyone feels and gives love through all the "love languages" it's a red flag if it's her main way of feeling loved, to me anyway. Had an ex who just constantly wanted gifts, and it wasn't about the money, she didn't want expensive stuff, it still just felt shallow and it was so performative on my part.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 03:39 PM

Isn't gifts one of the "love languages" that women often claim to have? It's a red flag in my opinion but it's definitely a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/26 12:13 PM
11

I'm not sure why you're assuming that's the case, but if it is, that's what happens when you marry someone who isn't obviously attracted to you. Bad decision. In normal marriages in my opinion it's just not a big deal. My wife and I both talk about and tease each other about the people we are attracted to. It's innocent crushes. Hot people don't stop existing when you're married.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/26 03:02 PM

Nah, women are just as flawed as men. I don't think being attracted to someone else while married is a flaw though, as long as you're not cheating.

Partly because of our dad, for sure. And her first boyfriend was a piece of work. She's dating a guy now though and seems happy.

Singles events will have a similar dynamic but at least you have non verbal cues to read. Lots of couples meet through hobbies. Some women not living it doesn't change that. I think what women don't like is men treating hobby groups like singles events.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 10:41 PM

They reduce people to an image and list of stats. It's easy to keep shopping for "the best", it's easy to stop seeing them as individual people. There's no body language, eye contact, tone of voice etc so it's incredibly difficult to have chemistry with someone. It just turns it into an emotionless corporate job interview.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/26 10:35 PM
12

The apps fucking suck. Everyone is just reduced to stats instead of actually feeling out chemistry with someone. The younger generation drinks less, does drugs less, parties less, etc and while it sounds great, I think it's just a symptom of the overall lack of socializing happening. People would rather scroll on their phone and watch Netflix. I met my wife through a friend. I've met all my previous partners through friends. People on here act like I'm insane for even saying it. Half of them don…

All these rules are dumb. In some situations with certain people, you might just want sex. In other situations with different people you might want something serious. I don't expect women to behave the same way with every man and I don't expect a 19 year old to have the same priorities as a 35 year old.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/26 04:45 PM

True, women could be even more open to being with other women. I'm just saying social acceptance plays a big role in how open women are about their attraction to women and why it seems like men are so much more likely to be straight. It's social suicide in a lot of circles for a man to admit he'd fool around with another man. As a bi guy I've been on the receiving end of a lot of "straight" guys confessing that to me though haha
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/26 03:47 PM
6

Women are just more open about their attraction to women. Men are very likely to experiment or be curious about men too it's just a lot less socially acceptable. I'd probably guess 50-75% in both cases are fully 100% straight.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/26 02:59 PM

I was invited by a coworker, she had some friends going too, I married one of her friends. The coworker wasn't trying to set me up or anything, I actually had a gf at the time lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 04:03 PM

I can't say I've experienced this. My wife eats way healthier than me. She's always on my back about the junk I eat. We make sure the kids have a healthy diet.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 01:18 PM

I'll add I appreciate your theme throughout it of just being a normal person and having fun. Yes improve yourself and be a good partner but in a way that's still authentic and enjoyable for you both. I find too much RP advice boils down to "play this perfect role to make her want you, never slip out of character, and it doesn't matter what she wants".
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 12:06 PM

Yeah I'd say for the most part it's pretty universal advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 11:53 AM
1

That's true too. But yeah she does those things because she likes you and thinks you're attractive. My wife said she was attracted me from the start because I was cute and funny and confident.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 11:44 AM
1

It's wicked for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 11:42 AM

I'd say I agree. It's the typical advice I usually give. I'd just add to tweak it based on the woman too. For instance my wife wasn't looking for "a leader" (she is more of a "leader" in our relationship), and prefers more direct communication. I've also dated women who hated direct communication. Gotta adjust for her personality. But in general I agree with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 11:39 AM
1

Lots of eye contact, physical touch, she wants to find another excuse to see each other, responds positively to light flirting, teases me back etc. It's never a guarantee, some people are just more friendly, but it's a good sign.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 11:17 AM
1

That complicates it a bit but it doesn't have to be the end of the world. I've hit on friends after misinterpreting things, if you can laugh it off and keep things from getting awkward it's often fine. Depends on how easily you can be non chalant about it haha

I'm saying have enough platonic socializing to get a feel for whether or not there's chemistry. If there's not, if they don't reciprocate light flirting then don't escalate.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 10:42 PM

I'm not saying a fake an entire friendship.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 10:26 PM

If you have to work for sttraction it's probably not really attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 08:12 PM

Good for them. If it works for someone that's great, but if it doesn't then they should probably try something else.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 08:11 PM

Well I'm glad you learned from it. Horrible strategy.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 07:06 PM

Yeah, their choice. Waiting for good things to fall into your lap isn't always a winning strategy.

That's crazy though. Why would you wait TWO YEARS?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 07:00 PM

You can't be everyone's type. Or maybe she was just trying to insult you. You're conventionally attractive. Way more so than me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 06:32 PM

Plus I've seen you. You're attractive. Your looks aren't the issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 06:13 PM

Women have normal platonic conversations with ugly guys though. Lots of ugly men are in relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 06:13 PM

You could avoid rejection by not trying if you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 06:10 PM
2

Yeah, I met my wife through a mutual friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 06:09 PM

If it's not reciprocated that sucks but life isn't fair. If women won't even talk to you there's probably bigger issues at play.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 06:09 PM
11

I agree. You need to be able to handle rejection well.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 03:19 PM
9

No one should pursue a relationship with someone who isn't physically attracted to you. That's just fucking stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 01:34 PM
10

Yeah, that's part of it. You talk, get them comfortable, flirt and see if it's reciprocated.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 01:19 PM
12

It's not about pursuing women who aren't physically attracted to me. It's just getting them more comfortable and feeling out if they are attracted to me before I hit on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 01:18 PM
15

I did make friends that way. I don't mind making friends or having a friendly conversation, it's very low stakes, I didn't go into things with high expectations. For my most recent 2 relationships.. one was a friend I had known a while, we got drunk one night and ended up alone, there was chemistry amd we had sex. Then for my wife I met her at an escape room, we instantly clicked. It can be pretty random where you meet someone. I'm not against strangers, just cold approaches
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 01:10 PM
78

As a short guy I realized most women are not going to be into me. That's why I've never done cold approaches or apps, there's just no point. I've always had an easier time talking platonically first and only escalating if there's chemistry. I'm starting to think that's a lost art these days though.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 01:02 PM

I question their sexuality.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/26 09:53 PM

I don't care. There will always be something we disagree on, it's not important. I'm teaching my kids we help others with no strings attached.

I've been helping all my neighbours. I don't care what their beliefs are.

Yeah there's way more "findoms" than men into being finsubs. Nowadays everyone hears findom and thinks easy money. It's not a very common kink for the number of findoms out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 12:10 PM
15

It's all oversaturated. A few might get lucky. The vast majority of women are not going to be able to make money that way. Submissive guys already complain that every dominant woman they come across is just shilling her shitty OF.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 12:02 PM

The majority of people on OF barely make any money, while possibly destroying their chances at other careers.

In Quebec you are not allowed to change your last name for marriage (in the rest of Canada you can). Kids can be given either last name. We gave our son mine and daughter hers.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 12:29 PM

At one point we considered moving to Nova Scotia. Back when it was cheaper than Montreal. From what I hear it's expensive as fuck there now too.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 05:19 PM

I haven't been to that area, I'll have to check out. We did discover a cute little French town in Cape Breton though, Cheticamp. Went to a beautiful beach there with huge waves.

Quebec. I love Nova Scotia. My wife went to university there and we've spent a few summers there. It's one of my favourite places.

Coolest last mame should always win.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 04:31 PM

I think it was a change that took place during the quiet revolution, but name changes are very strict in Quebec in general tbh. It's never really bothered me because it's what I'm used to. If anything I'd want to take her last name, it's cooler haha and I like her parents more than mine. Mine is a very common quebecois last name, hers is russian.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 03:46 PM
6

Yeah it's normal here. It's literally not possible to change your last name for marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 03:42 PM
27

Women don't change their last name when they get married in my part of Canada. It's just not a thing. My wife and I have different last names. One of our kids has mine and one has hers.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 03:08 PM

Yeah I'm pretty picky. Although my type isn't exactly conventional.

I'm talking purely physical, nothing about their character.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:22 PM

Desperate guys who will fuck anything just assume every inherent guy is equally desperate. I'm attracted to maybe 10% of women my age. I think that's normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 12:35 PM

I don't think either are static. Sex can get better as you get to know each other and get more comfortable, my wife and I weren't each others best sex at first but we are now. You can get better at sex, you can become a better partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 03:53 PM

5'7. I've been rejected for my height, I know it's an issue, but I'm social with a large friend group and I've never used online dating so I've managed to avoid a lot of the shit short guys deal with.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 02:51 PM

Yeah, definitely.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 02:05 PM

Not at first, but we both purposely started hanging out with that mutual friend more, hoping the other would be there, and eventually exchanged numbers, found some platonic excuse. When she broke up with him she reached out to me right away. I went to her apartment and pretty much never left haha. I started sleeping there every night, things got serious fast.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 01:58 PM

Yup. I've never gone on a date with someone I haven't already had sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 01:55 PM

We met through a mutual friend when we both got invited to an escape room. We had so much to talk about and it felt so natural, we both wanted any excuse to talk to each other and stand close to each other. There was a lot of eye contact and laughing and playful banter. I broke up with my girlfriend that night because I knew right away how strongly I felt. It took her a bit longer to end her relationship, it was an extremely toxic and controlling one, borderline abusive. When they broke up we im…

I've dated 4 women. I asked 2 of them to hang out and they said yes. We were already friends and there was obviously some chemistry so it wasn't a huge risk. One asked me to come over and I said yes. I was so surprised by being asked out that I said yes even though looking back on it I wasn't all that into her. I tried to make it work. Then there's my wife. We were both dating other people when we met but again there was obvious chemistry. As soon as we were both single we had sex and just jumpe…

/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/26 03:19 PM

The "not asking questions" complaints is kind of funny because it's one of the biggest complaint women have about men on apps/dates and one of the biggest complaints men have about women on apps/dates. Both frames it as an issue of the opposite gender.

Talking to women in a bar has them insrinctly thinking "ugh, I'm being hit on" and unless you're hot, it isn't happening. Talking to them outside while you both smoke is a casual conversation and they don't instantly put their walls up.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 09:14 PM
6

Yeah, I'm not attractive either and I'm short lol Tbh I don't think I'd ever have luck hitting on a woman inside a bar either. I never bothered with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 09:10 PM
4

Who said looks aren't a factor? They absolutely do, they just don't make it impossible. Are you going up to strange women and talking to them? Are these women giving you any indication they want to talk to you? I used to talk to a lot of women outside bars in the smoking area. Just casual small talk. Maybe ask for a lighter, or complain about the cold. It was easy to tell if they were receptive to conversation or not. I'd avoid groups that are keeping to themselves. That's just one example. I me…

If you're getting those hints right off the bat that's a failure in social skills, knowing when to approach. You need to rethink when, where and who you're approaching if that's the case. Some guys struggle with even the platonic part, some struggle with escalation and some struggle a little bit with both. Getting really good at having fun platonic conversations with women is a pretty important prerequisite to flirting. That's where you decide if there's enough chemistry to escalate to flirting.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 09:00 PM
9

They are using social skills very broadly. Ugly people date all the time, being unattractive doesn't make it impossible it just means it requires more effort sometimes. Are you getting "not interested" hints right off the bat or only when you flirt? Can you easily have platonic conversations with women and make them laugh? At which step are you failing?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 08:52 PM

Unfortunately this kind of stuff just isn't black and white, it seems like a lot of people want it to be, they want an answer that will fit 100% of the time, they want a atep by step rubric. Human behaviour ans attraction doesn't work that way. Looks matter, but so does how you interact with people. If you're not conventionally attraction then you need to work a little harder on the interaction part. No online stranger can tell you what you're doing wrong though. It's just about practice, gettin…

No one cares about men as victims unless maybe they are some discriminated against minority too. Any gendered space online, or any space in general where gender war shit is prevalent is not going to have genuine people who care imo. In men's spaces online I've always felt they only care if the abuser was a woman. In women's spaces they only care if the victim was a woman. So as a man who was the victim of another man I've always been shit out of luck. I just don't expect strangers to care anymor…

I'm not even denying any of that. I'm saying this is an extremely ineffective way to get people to care. I've gotten plenty of empathy from women in my life about traumatic shit I've experienced, depression, mental health issues, and being treated badly or discriminated against. The worst part is there are times a group really is a victim and where it makes sense, but now anyone that wants any sort of attention plays the victim card and it just turns into the suffering Olympics every single time.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 03:24 PM
6

I'm not denying that men have some things worse than women. I just think the framing is incredibly unproductive and just leads to gender war bullshit instead of actually talking about the issue. There's never empathy as a response to suffering olympics. The discussion is important but framing it thst way is just putting the focus on the competition aspect.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 03:18 PM
6

By framing it the way he did he basically makes sure no productive discussion will happen. It's frustrating.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 03:11 PM
7

All of that stuff should be acknowledged. I don't see why it has to be a competition though. It's not us vs them. It's two groups with some shared problems and some unique ones. None of what you said requires bringing the suffering olympics into it and I 100% agree with all of it. More people are likely to be willing to talk about it if the gender war nonsense isn't included.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/25 02:39 PM
13

I think the suffering olympics is pretty stupid and the constant need for both sexes to prove they have it worse is driving more gender war nonsense. Having some random woman or man acknowledge the other side has it worse isn't going to fix anything or make anyone feel better, and there's too often the implication that something has to be done to make it fair, or then they want an acknowledgement that the other sex is doing something "wrong". Life will never be fair. Why can't we just acknowledg…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 12:12 PM

In my experience usually rich guys with trophy wives specifically used their money to get the woman. It's what they signed up for. Just like those women signed up to be with a guy they wouldn't otherwise be into because he's rich. There's always exceptions though.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/25 12:08 PM

In both cases people need to have higher standards. I'll never understand why women think men who don't do shit around the house are going to magically change once they have kids. I rarely hear rich men complain about supporting their trophy wife though, and that's why it doesn't get much attention. Women made the chore gap note worthy.

You're right, what people would call toxic masculinity is definitely part of the problem. Every marriage is different. There's lots with a "leader"/head of the household, lots without. Too many people acting like their experience or what they read online applies to everyone. I'm married to a woman who makes more than me and we don't fit most stereotypes, but it works for us and what other people do doesn't really matter. I don't know why people even have such strong opinions on other people's marriages.

Most women want those traits in someone relatively close to their age, most couples don't have large age gaps. When one person is much younger with less life experienced they're easier to manipulate. It's why 15 year girls dating men in their late 20s who smoke weed in their moms basement gush about how mature and wise the guy is too. I'm not shaming men for dating young legal women though. I agree with both. Usually with large age gaps the older person is more "powerful" in the sense they are wiser, more experienced, better off financially, more cinnections, etc so there's more of a risk of them taking advantage. It's certainly not always the case though. People are all different. Most abusive relationships are probably similar aged couples.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/25 11:32 AM

I'm guessing it sounds worse than I intended it. I just meant women can more easily fake being into the sex compared to men. Maybe women dating these ugly obese rich men are sexually attracted to them but I have my doubts. I think they just put up with the sex for the lifestyle. I don't think it's wrong, if both people are happy with the arrangement more power to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 03:52 PM

Women don't exactly need to be aroused to have sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/25 02:46 PM
1

Maybe. I think it is often just called different things though. Crazy/psycho vs insecure/jealous. There's also enough jealous and insecure people from both genders that they need to just get together and track each other's locations and go through each other's phones every night and stay inside to avoid looking at the opposite sex and just enjoy their weird life together haha
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 09:31 PM

Almost every time I hear a crazy ex gf story they were controlling in some way. My own "crazy ex" was a jealous controlling mess of a woman haha I think men being controlling probably has worst vibes because of, well, history, but I definitely see women being called crazy for it too
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 09:03 PM

Insecure jealous women are called crazy. The infamous "crazy ex" so many men have.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 08:50 PM

People talk about student loans taking advantage of young people all the time, that's one of the major arguments for forgiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 04:37 PM

I'm not American, although obesity is high in Canada too. I live in the least obese province though and a big city. People are thinner in cities. I don't see that many fat people in my day to day life as a result.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 04:24 PM

Thin is absolutely the beauty standard, some guys have a thing for fat and that's cool. Most people don't know. Fat isn't really seem as hot to most people. Everyone has their own tastes though, hell, the people on my 600 lb life often had partners and they couldn't even walk. The world is full of all types.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 04:07 PM

Yeah, sometimes average women date fat men too. Fat is still less desirable than thin though.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 04:03 PM

They are usually with unattractive men, because less options.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:57 PM

Most men aren't attracted to fat women. That means their dating pool is a lot smaller
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:49 PM

No choice is beyond criticism. People should be able to criticize whatever the hell they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:48 PM
8

Yeah they don't want other women to make the same mistake I guess. I think it's fine for older people to talk to younger people about dating, give advice, etc. Just gotta recognize the person is adult and can make their own decision.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:46 PM
9

Yeah a lot of it is coming from women who've been there and are trying to warn others. I dislike when it comes either the attitude that young adults are practically still "kids". Society in general infantilizes young adults too much.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:40 PM
17

Adults can still be taken advantage of. Adults can make bad decisions. People can judge and think whatever they want, unless they're trying to ban it there's no autonomy being taken imo. Also this happens a lot with gay men in age gap relationships too. Gay age gap relationships are funny though because they will outright say "I'm a son looking for his daddy" or "daddy needs a new boy" on apps. It's more normalized among gays but straight people give it the same criticism.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:37 PM
37

I actually agree and I dislike the infantilization of adult women. That being said, I don't think anyone actually wants their autonomy taken away. They don't want to ban age gaps. They're just criticizing it and that's their right, people criticize all sorts of relationships. Plus, adults can make bad/stupid decisions, adults can manipulate, take advantage of and abuse other adults.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:27 PM

If he's only attracting women that lack options there's still probably something off or he's just very unattractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:16 PM
7

This is my experience too. I have to actively stop myself from talking all the time about how amazing my wife is and how much I love her. She's the person I want to experience everything in life with, all the good and the bad, she makes me a better person. My best friends are a married couple too, they are obsessed with each other still. I think the bad marriages are just a lot more noticeable. Happy ones look "boring" and people like OP don't think of them when they are thinking about narriages…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/25 03:03 PM

That's where the jobs are.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 05:59 PM

Why are you telling a random dude on a dating app about your mental health problems?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 12:31 PM

How did the conversation go before he brought up your mindset? What was talked about? I know this isn't a serious post but I'm bored at work.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 12:26 PM

Yeah 100%.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 12:20 AM

Yeah it's beyond fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 08:15 PM

I wish I understood it too. I think the bi thing comes down to the fact that society just has a negative view of someone having sex with men, it's seen as submissive regardless of the context. It's the same reason men having sex with a bunch of women are "cool" but women having sex with a bunch of men are "gross". Having sex with a penis defiles a person. As for abuse, if a man was abused by a man it's just the bi ick even if it wasn't consensual, and if he was abused by a woman it's a combinati…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 08:01 PM

I don't think my wife does. But based on what I've heard from other male victims it seems like a lot of women do. They pull back, stop wanting sex, become less friendly and emotionally check out. Some even had conversations confirming it. My theory is that it's the same "less of a man" vibes a lot of women get from bi men.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 05:43 PM

I don't even expect all women to be supportive (after all tons of men are assholes to women who've been sexually abused), but at least admit it's a shitty double standard. I'm glad you're being the change.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 04:37 PM

Just hearing from a lot of men who were sexually abused and how their partners reacted. Obviously it's not all women, I'm married and I have sexual trauma, but I think it's common enough that it's something abused men talk about a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 03:56 PM

I think in general if it's reversed men are encouraged to be patient and understanding and gentle about navigating a woman's sexual trauma, but not so much in the other direction. Even if it doesn't affect the bedroom, I think there's just often that "ick" factor that comes from learning her partner was sexually abused. It's the same "less of a man" ick from the bisexual issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 03:47 PM

I think women tend to be sympathetic and supportive about a lot of men's issues but when it comes to male victims of sexual abuse it only extends to men they aren't in a relationship with. Now I'm saying this as a male victim of sexual abuse with a wife who is incredibly supportive, but I think I might be in the minority. I think women realizing their male partner has been sexually abused activates the same "ick" switch as realizing their partner is bi. Otherwise, I mostly agree. Women tend to c…

Are you from a conservative non-western culture? Almost everyone drinks alcohol occasionally in my country (Canada). It's normal and not a good or bad thing just neutral. 100% agreed. My wife and I often have fun with another guy. Neither of us would ever want something poly (too complicated when we have kids) but a guy friend we sometimes fool around with together is perfect. He's married too but his wife has practically zero sex drive and doesn't mind the situation, they still love each other. It's a good fit for all of us. I much prefer other bi men over gay men.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 02:18 PM

I've gone through life with a lot of undeserved confidence and it's been helpful. I'm short and I'm not hot but I've always been extroverted and bold. I think it helps that I didn't spend my formative years online reading about how women only wanted Chads so I had no real reason to be so insecure and neurotic. I see guys hotter than me with zero confidence, so it doesn't automatically come with looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 12:25 PM
3

I know the type well haha. My wife finds guy on guy and femboy shit hot, so did a girl I dated in high-school. I always say most women don't like bi men but the ones that like us, like us A LOT. I don't mind the fetishization at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 12:15 PM

My wife is from a culture where anything feminine is heavily looked down upon for men too. I'm extremely grateful that she's supportive of me being bi. Her parents would lose their shit if they knew though lol. They're from Russia.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 11:44 AM

Fair enough. I know some conservative cultures only see it as "gay" if the guy is penetrated so I was curious.

Does it make a difference for you which role the man takes on in gay sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 11:30 AM

I've mainly been in monogamous relationships throughout my life so both of us wanting to monopolize each others sex lives was normal. Even now our marriage is mostly monogamous (3somes but no solo play). I don't think I could do totally open. Not sure how gay men do it so easily haha
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 11:28 AM

Lesbians seem to dislike bi women as much as straight women dislike bi men

/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 02:13 AM

To be honest I've never really sought out relationships, they just happened. When I met my wife I wasn't searching for a partner. I met her through a friend and we clicked. That's how all my relationships started. My friends are mostly straight so I've ended up in straight relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 02:08 AM

Yeah there's a certain type of woman who thinks sex is all she has to offer. I've dated one. Then I started being a lot pickier.

I've had a bunch of sex with men and women. What else am I if not bi? I'm honestly curious haha
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 01:17 AM

I've heard that before. I never got the impression that was the issue with the women I've encountered though. Seems like more a visceral disgust.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 01:10 AM
13

Yeah bi women certainly have their own issues. I hear lesbians aren't always friendly towards bi women either.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 01:01 AM

If you're searching for both you'll probably end up in a straight one first. I'm married to a woman but I'm not any less bi. I still jerk to gay porn often.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 12:31 AM

We are bisexual since we are attracted to both men and women. The likelihood of ending up with the opposite sex is just much greater.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 12:26 AM

It's much easier to end up in a straight relationship since most people are straight.

You'd be surprised how often shit like "I'm so tired of bi men in gay spaces" gets posted in gay subreddits. They usually assume bi men will use them for fun then ditch them to marry a woman. Thank you though. My wife is incredibly supportive, I'm a lucky guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 12:01 AM
37

I'm a bi guy. Do you realize how common it is for women to be instantly turned off if they know you're bi? Finding a woman who is okay with it isn't easy. They see as not real men and/or sleazy. On the same vein, a lot of gay men dislike bi guys too and don't trust us. I don't feel I can navigate gay spaces with ease at all. We are stereotyped as being sex craved cheaters who will never be satisfied in a relationship.

I hate the whole love languages thing. I think it's important to show love in different ways. I'm a very touchy feely guy though, touch is what makes me feel the most connected and it's how I tend to show that closeness too. I don't see it as inherently sexual. One or my absolute favourite things is when my wife uses her finger to draw pictures on my back. Love languages have no actual evidence to back them up though and some men do say theirs is touch because they like sex and haven't thought a…

I don't think wanting something you can't have is necessarily a fault. If they're fine being single rather than settling, good for them. I try not to point out faults of entire genders because people are individuals but I've talked at length about women's homophobia when it comes to dating bi men and women's reactions to men being victims of abuse. There's a lot of unhappy people in marriages I agree there. The divorce rate is going down there and happy married people don't have much visibility. I don't know many men desperate enough to be with fat women for instance but apparently it's common elsewhere.

I'm not overly concerned. I expect things to slow down with age. I don't need a crazy amount of sex to be happy. With 3 kids we are at about once a week and it's fine.

It's just a counter to all the "women won't give a guy a chance unless he's 6ft, hot and rich". We have no idea what their relationship is like, doesn't make much sense to speculate. As an average 30 year old who's married, I'm quite happy in my marriage. I've had lots of men on here insist I must be a sexless betabux since I'm average though lol
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 04:00 PM

Average boring normal people don't really exist to a lot of these guys. Just hot women they see on social media. Influencers and models and shit, you can tell when they say shit like "women demand lavish vacations". No, Tracey making $20/hour from the suburbs in Wisconsin doesn't expect you to fly her to Dubai. She might want you to take her to the cheesecake factory on Friday though.

Women are lonelier too, just not to the same extent. I agreed men need to help themselves, I don't think it'll fix everything since women are getting lonelier too but it'll help. I never once implied women need to do anything to address it.

Emotional literacy would certainly help. People are more disconnected than ever though, I'm not sure if there is a good solution.

It's not just about sex, they feel rejected by society and locked out of basic human experiences that most people consider important in order to feel fulfilled (dating, romance, sex, all of it). Now I'm not saying I agree that they are locked out or thst it's hopeless, but that's how they feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 12:12 PM
16

I completely agree. It's not women's fault or responsibility to fix. Women have done a great job building up emotional support networks of other women and men need to be there for each other more.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 12:07 PM
33

It's not an excuse, it obviously doesn't make it reasonable, but lonely bitter men who feel hopeless with nothing to live for can be dangerous. You can acknowledge that without seeing it as an excuse.

I know this one guy who checks every box, he's hot, tall, good career, confident, etc.... but he has a foot fetish and awkwardly tries to find reasons to talk about a woman's feet. It comes off as creepy as hell haha. I always think of people like him when guys are wondering why women are so turned off by them. He doesn't even realize he's doing it, even if you point it out, he thinks he's more subtle than he is.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 11:02 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 10:42 PM

There's too much black and white thinking from every angle imo. "Looks don't matter" ... they do, but not to the extent of "you need to be chad to get laid". Ugly men date and fuck all the time but it is harder if you're not conventionally attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 10:07 PM
12

Yeah honestly I hate most self improvement advice because without seeing and interacting with a person it's impossible to know what's off-putting about them. Maybe they are confident, funny, kind... but fat. Maybe they are good looking but socially awkward or have bad breath or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 09:58 PM

I've experienced women being disgusted/turned off/annoyed at the mention of any trauma to be fair. I'm not blaming women though, men aren't exactly sympathetic to other men's trauma either, probably worse.

You can be kind and respectful and bold. I've never been under the impression that being bold and assertive is a negative thing, I've always known it helps. Growing up the bold, charismatic men had an easy time with women. Lots of them were still nice guys but they had a huge amount of confidence. I often wonder if guys who didn't know this stuff may have been fairly isolated in their youth.

Media always portrays women wanting attractive men. The guy who gets the girl is always hot. Men grow up hearing girls talk about the cute guys they have crushes on. Women do like kindness, if they are attracted to the man. Outside of this subreddit I've never even heard of men not knowing that women want men they find attractive. I understand autistic men needing it spelled out, but not normal men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 09:31 PM

If only it was easy to just get over it. Trauma often comes hand in hand with mental illness and personality disorders that are extremely difficult to treat.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/25 06:54 PM

It goes without saying that physical attraction is necessary. I don't disagree with you at all. Far too many guys misunderstand that point. They hear "I want a nerdy guy" and think it means she doesn't care what he looks like. Women assume the "if he's attractive to me" is obvious enough that it doesn't even need to be said and for the majority of men that's true, they aren't idiots. Unfortunately I guess some need it spelled out.

They're not all rotten. They're hurting and it's easier to project the hate at someone else.

Some people get socially ostracized because they are creepy or awkward and make people feel uncomfortable. I'm going to give people the benefit of the doubt though.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 07:14 PM
10

Nah. No one deserves it. It's incredibly unfortunate and will make dating and socializing much harder.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 06:58 PM
7

Obsessing over sex/dating when they can't make friendships work is something I've talked about so many times. If a guy can't easily talk to a woman platonically then he needs to work on that first. It's a prerequisite.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 06:08 PM
1

Yeah it's confusing sometimes. I've also been rejected by women I considered less attractive than me but I also had a woman I considered more attractive be absolutely obsessed with me.

I mostly mean not awkward or weird. Socially competent.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/25 10:39 AM

I don't know the failure rate. Those dudes will find a reason to avoid doing anything. I see lots of ugly dudes in relationships. If he doesn't want to try then he doesn't have to.

Yeah it's beyond fucked
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 10:25 PM

I figured. Just saying it'd be a pretty wild standard to hold here haha. I own a house but only because my wife and I bought it together, I couldn't have done it on my own.

The average price of a house in Canada is like $800k.

If your options are ugly and off-putting or ugly and likable I think the choice is obvious. Not everyone can just become attractive.

Believe me, as a bi guy, I agree haha
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 05:33 PM

"I don't care what you do" just comes off as abrasive and uncaring. "Have a great time, call me if you need a ride home" isn't going to get a negative response.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 05:13 PM

Women who haven't slept around probably aren't going to be having fmf threesomes with their husband's either though. I guess it's a retroactive jealousy thing? They didn't get to experience it so they don't like that their partner did.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 03:01 PM

Guess she thought you would have low standards and be willing to settle.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:54 PM
8

She probably doesn't consider herself a 6 then. It's pointless to say she's in a guys league if she doesn't agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:46 PM
23

They overrate men too. It fits their narrative. All these hot men forced to settle for ugly women lol
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 02:33 PM
46

The concept of leagues has lost a lot of it's meaning. I see guys all the time say it's unfair men can't get women in their league, they think that because they consider a guy a 6, he should get with women they consider a 6. In reality it doesn't matter if other men consider a guy a 6, it only matters what women consider him. Your league is just about how attractive the opposite sex finds you.

I help run an old school n64 gaming night at a local bar. I'm guess you mean me and all the other organizers should be fired and replaced by nerds? What if no one wanted to step up and run it? Just cancel it?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 11:32 PM
2

I'm asking how is "giving the spaces back to nerds" accomplished?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 11:22 PM
2

I don't think we should mandate something just so people can avoid difficult conversations. It's okay for men to want a paternity test and it's okay for women to see it as an insult. If it's something a guy cares about he should be ready to have that hard conversation. If it's someone he's planning to spend his life with then it's important to be able to navigate those situations.
/r/MensRights26/10/25 10:26 PM
-3

If a man doesn't want one that's his choice he's allowed to make. If he's worried about being lied to he should get one. I don't think there should be any barriers to it, but that it should be a choice. I don't like making anything mandatory, especially when it can be made easily available instead.
/r/MensRights26/10/25 09:12 PM
2

How can you give them back nerd culture without preventing other people from participating in those hobbies?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/25 08:52 PM

I think a man should be able to easily get one if he wants one.
/r/MensRights26/10/25 08:47 PM

I think it should be easily available for parents who want the testing done. There's a lot of things regarding children's health that we don't currently mandate though, so I don't think it's a very convincing argument for making it mandatory. We don't even mandate vaccines or prenatal care or any genetic testing.

/r/MensRights26/10/25 06:32 PM

Lots of ugly dudes are in relationships man
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/25 12:29 AM

You need to offer something for her to be attracted to. Ugly but enjoyable to be around gives you better chances than ugly and off-putting.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 11:34 PM

Ugly + enjoyable to be around is going to get a guy further than ugly + off-putting. I don't personally care if you give up or not. Autism makes things a hell of a lot harder and I sympathize. Only you can decide if it's worth it to keep pursuing dating knowing it's more difficult. I'm a short guy, that made things harder for me, luckily I didn't have spaces like this when I was younger so things still turned out okay even if it wasn't always easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 07:02 PM

If you're autistic it's probably that. For most guys it's a mix though, if they're not very attractive they have to make up for it with personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 06:43 PM
9

Those things but seem inclusive but they're really not. For bdsm/kink anyone is free to pursue it but there's no guarantee someone will be interested. Swinging/sex clubs often just don't allow single men at all, to make women feel safe. How would you expect things to look differently to allow men to be "healed"?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 11:56 AM

Those are good starting points. Just stay open minded. People rarely fit into the perfect little boxes created when thinking about what you want in a partner, it's just a rough guideline. Chemistry, similar goals, shared values and mutual respect are what's going to make a solid foundation.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 11:46 AM

When you picture your future where you're married to a woman, what is she like? Her being attractive to you is a given so think about what other traits fit well with your personality and lifestyle. And think of traits you don't want. Keeping in mind everyone has flaws and everyone has potential, you're choosing someone to grow with. After that, a lot of it just comes from experience dating. Sometimes what you think you want doesn't really work out in practice. Sometimes you need someone who does…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/25 11:38 AM

Right, my point was just thst it doesn't matter if it's subjective, being socially off-putting is still going to be a turn off to most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 03:20 PM
5

Where was social media even mentioned?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 03:10 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 03:03 PM

I don't think anyone disagrees.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 12:56 AM

If it's a stranger online it doesn't bother me. If it's someone I care about, it feels really shitty. I've been sexually abused and I'm all about consent so it's awful to be made to feel like I've done something horrible just because I'm horny.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 06:15 PM

Assholes usually surround themselves with assholes. Trashy women surround themselves with other trashy women. It depends on your social circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 05:16 PM
1

I'm an openly bi man. I've heard lots of homophobia from women haha and I've experienced being called gay for rejecting women. Never said it's not a thing. I've probably experienced more homophobia from women than most men. It's always been something I see as trashy though, and women like that aren't part of my friend group. I mostly just don't expect other women to police shitty women's behavior just like I don't expect men to police other men's behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 05:15 PM

I can only talk about my social circle. Women calling men gay for rejecting them just isn't really a thing, but we are all in our late 20s to late 30s, most people are in long term relationships or married. I don't hang out with trashy people like I used to back when I was a partier.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 03:50 PM

I don't think anyone needs to hold a random person accountable for something just because they are the same sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 02:47 PM

I don't generally talk about misogynistic locker room talk. I don't think it's my responsibility to "call out" random men for being sexist just because I'm also a man. Other men being shitty has nothing to do with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 02:41 PM

I think it's a case of "I hear a lot of women call men gay for rejecting them but women don't call them out" and "women say men need to call out other men" and thinking wow women are being hypocrites, but in reality having no idea how much actual overlap there is. It's very possible a lot of women don't expect men to call out random men for sexism amd therefore it's completely reasonable to not expect women to either. There's also women who do call out other women. Criticize individuals for bein…

I don't feel it's my responsibility to call out random shitty men online, I don't consider those men "my own" just because we both have a dick. I don't hold them accountable, I don't care about them. I expect the same from women.

What does them not replying to her have to do with anything? Generally decent normal women already aren't friends with the kind of woman who calls a guy gay for rejecting her. I'm not sure what OP wants those women to do. They can't prevent shitty women from existing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 02:20 PM

A lot of normal women already do ostracize the type of woman to call men gay for rejecting them. Usually only assholes want to be friends with other assholes.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/25 01:50 PM

So yeah, some women will call men gay for rejecting them. What do you want normal women to do about that? I guess I'm confused. There are 4 billion women on the planet, some are shitty, some are downright evil. If someone isn't the type to call men gsy for rejecting them I don't think they need to do anything except maybe say "I'm sorry that happened to you" if the man in question is somebody they care about and he's obviously distressed. Otherwise it's basically just someone saying they ran int…

Yeah I see a lot of guys saying they are introverted, nerdy, don't drink, don't do drugs, hate parties... but still want casual sex. They don't understand most women who have casual sex are into partying too.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 03:18 PM

It's never been about ego for me. I wasn't going around telling all my friends about the girls I fucked. Maybe my best friend but that's it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 02:52 PM

Now nothing? They're bound to exist, it's just not something I've seen. There's dudes out there who are attracted to fat women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 02:01 PM

Completely agree, I've been saying it for a while. I see a lot of dudes say they don't drink, they're introverted, they don't like parties, clubs or bars but they want casual sex... I mean sure, it's possible, but it's going to be way harder. My late teens and early 20s were spent drinking and partying. I'm completely average looking but I did fine with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:12 PM

Yeah fat woman with dorky lanky guy is something I've seen. Never a "chad" though. I've seen fairly hot women with fat men though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:07 PM

Not surprised. But tbh as a 5'7 guy, I used to be like that, not hecause I didn't find tall women attractive, I was just insanely insecure. Life got better when I stopped caring.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 11:46 AM

Pretty sure surveys showed most men on here are virgins. Virgins learning about sex and dating from other virgins who learned from other virgins who learned from some grifter trying to make money off bitter lonely dudes.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 11:27 AM

The average couple to these guys is a 250lb woman with a super hot guy lol. Something I don't think I've ever seen in my life.

Completely agree. Just gotta go to any sit down chain restaurant on a Friday evening to see that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 11:10 AM

If someone doesn't want to date someone they're not attracted to they shouldn't, that seems shitty for them and the person they'd date. Do lonely men want women to date them despite not being attracted to them? I know I would rather be single than in a relationship like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 10:33 AM

It's easy to get frustrated at the lack of institutional support but at the very least we should work on supporting the men in our own lives. It's not perfect but it's something.

Men gotta be there for other men. We can't make fun of men who express they are hurting, we can't call them gay, we can't let our awkwardness override our empathy. Women have done a good job of building support networks of other women. Women tend to have a lot of female friends and female members they can go to for support. We gotta do that for each other too. Feminine men have never been preferred by the majority but have always had a niche group of women who are into them. Most people are a combination of masculine and feminine traits and men are expected to be mostly masculine. Hyper-masculinity with rejection of anything remotely feminine actually comes off as pretty gay imo. There's a large subset of gay men who are like that. Gay men tend to care a lot more about how masc vs fem they are though.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 11:26 AM

If you're good at reading social cues it gets pretty easy to know when a woman is into to you. Nothing is ever 100% though, there's always the extra friendly women who aren't into you and the cold reserved ones who are, that's just the nature of social interaction. You can pretty safely assume a woman going out of her way to spend time alone with you, smiling at you a lot, touching you etc, is probably into you. It's not a big deal if you're wrong as long as you take it with grace.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/25 11:17 AM

Why is Bob even wanting to marry a woman he doesn't trust whatsoever? The normal way to vet people is to get to know them, ask questions, meet their family and friends, see how they live.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 05:54 PM

If they're equally attractive I'd choose 1. Dual incomes opens up more opportunities, more traveling etc. I also find smart women hot and I like to be challenged. I get bored by women who agree with me all the time.

Being a trans man isn't the same as being a cis man. Everyone has a unique experience especially trans people. I don't think you can make any sweeping generalizations based off it.
/r/MensRights15/10/25 02:29 PM

I don't think tbe life of trans men and cis men (or trans women and cis women) can be accurately compared. There's too much else going on. Plus I think the suffering olympics are dumb anyway. Some women have great lives, some have shitty lives. Same with men.
/r/MensRights15/10/25 02:09 PM

Yeah she said they are basically raised to see beauty as their only worth in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/25 12:25 PM

They want it to be hopeless. It absolves them of any responsibility and means there's no point trying. It makes it women's fault for being too shallow and they get to be victims.

I'm married to an Eastern European woman (although she's lived in Canada since she was 5 and is more culturally western), she always says she'd be miserable if she grew up in Eastern Europe because of the insane pressure to look a certain way. She's beautiful but isn't into makeup or doing her hair or nails or anything like that and doesn't care about fashion. I don't think it really affects it at all. It's just neutral. My work is about 70% men. My boss is a woman and she's great, I'm a boss to s team of 5. Gender isn't something I think about much with regards to work. I don't treat my team members any differently based on gender.

My wife likes gay erotic fanfic and it's a plus for me because I'm bi. I'd prefer a woman who reads that stuff (or watches porn) and has a healthy sex drive than one with a lower sex drive anyway. Plus I enjoy my "me" time and a woman is less likely to care about that if she enjoys her "me" time as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/25 02:11 PM

I'd consider it similar to bring a mental illness or personality disorder or any trauma into a relationship. It's just too much for some.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 02:34 PM

In the scenario you mentioned the casual sex guys are strangers who haven't wronged them. Amd some women do still desire sex with someone who wronged them. Everyone had their own reasons for the decisions they make. I just gave one common reason they might fuck a stranger but not their husband. They don't all have the same motivations.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 02:28 PM

That's a lot of baggage to bring into a relationship. Some might be okay with it if he handles it well and doesn't let it effect his life too much.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 02:22 PM

Probably a good idea to handle that grief before getting into a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/25 02:16 PM

I don't think that's a "woman" thing. There's lots of memes about how toxic/crazy women are better fucks. I think some people just like chaos.

Sex bomb is exactly what they do. They love sucking dick, they give the best head ever, they want sex all the time, they think it's cool that you watch porn, etc. They also act totally cool and chill with mot being treated great or being made a priority.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 01:07 PM

Weird, as a bi guy I'm way picker than most men I know. I always got the impression straight men were more desperate with lower standards. I'm probably too picky about who I'll sleep with. I need to find someone very attractive or else it's not worth it.

Worried I'd cheat with a guy. Worried about HIV. An "ick" they can't really explain. Insecurity about having to "compete" with men too. Seeing bi men as inherently less masculine. Lots of reasons. There's some women that really like it though.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/25 12:43 AM
15

I don't care too much about femininity. My wife isn't a typical girly girl. I do love how nurturing and emotionally intelligent she is though, those are important to me. She enriches my life with her company, deep conversations, silly jokes, emotional support, sex, etc. Shared hobbies aren't overly important but I am glad she likes outdoorsy shit like me. I put a lot of importance on a woman being open minded too, I'm bi and I know a lot of women don't like that.

3

Wanting a man in therapy doesn't mean they need to accept whatever the reason was that he's in therapy. If the behaviour requiring the therapy is a deal breaker it's not hypocritical to reject him.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/25 09:30 PM

That's wild. I've never once raised my voice at my wife in the 6 or so years we've been together and she never has either.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/25 09:28 PM

Do you think a woman who appreciates men getting therapy should be willing to accept any possible reason for the therapy?

This wouldn't cause conflict. And religion and politics get discussed all the time in real life where I live.

Ambitious and funny are a plus to me. Obviously physical attraction still matters, so do other things, but I love that my wife is passionate about her career and has a sense of humour. I've dated women who were not ambitious and couldn't take a joke, it sucked.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/25 10:26 AM
8

Having a wife who makes more is kinda nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/25 10:24 AM

Yeah it is because I'm like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/25 10:19 AM

Yeah women don't generally find out you have a big dick until sex. They're not dating a guy for that. Especially since most don't cum from penetration anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 07:06 PM

Haha couldn't agree more. My dick isn't very big almost I've actually had guys comment on how fun it is to suck because their jaw doesn't hurt.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 06:54 PM

I was just gonna add that big ones aren't always great for the guy it's attached to. My fwb is big and it's hard to suck and bottoming almost always starts to hurt before he even gets to finish.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 06:53 PM

He's really, really hot haha. I struggle to think of a male celebrity I'd consider more attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 05:16 PM

He's hot even if he didn't have a big dick.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 05:06 PM

Some women like big dicks, some don't care. That's true of pretty much everything. It's also possible to admire a big dick while being fine with average dicks too. I think when a lot of them say women don't care they mean it's not generally a deal breaker, and I think that's true. As a bi guy I think big dicks are a fun novelty occasionally but I'd prefer an average dick to have regular sex with.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 04:54 PM

Too often men throw out solutions that are either "women should have sex with men they're not attracted to" or power should restructure society so women have less options and feel pressured to settle" or "let's shame women who have casual sex" etc. Solutions that are all good for men but bad for women. I'm not saying all lonely men are entitled but the conversation around it is often dripping with entitlement and it makes it harder for them to have empathy. I'm in r/guycry and I notice one thing…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/25 10:59 AM
19

So many of these dating issues are caused by desperate men having no standards but somehow women are blamed for having standards instead. Maybe women could lower theirs a bit, but men could raise theirs a whole lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/25 12:21 AM
14

That's just not my experience. My wife knows all my deepest insecurities and vice versa. I don't use them to control her or make her feel guilty, but I do want reassurance and validation occasionally and so does she. Having insecurities is normal. Always expecting your partner to change to avoid triggering them isn't though.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/25 12:16 AM
14

So maybe men shouldn't be so forgiving of women's insecurity. Imo insecurity is fine if it's now and then, and can be reassured without limiting the other person. Once it turns into "I can't do x because it makes my partner insecure" where x is just some normal thing, neither gender should put up either it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/25 12:11 AM
21

Constant insecurity is annoying and exhausting regardless of gender. Desperate men are just more likely to put up with it while letting the resentment build. You don't have to work on your insecurities but if you're not then you're making things harder for yourself

I've never asked for someone's consent to kiss them in my life. Actually I've never asked for consent for anything because I'm a normal person who just reads people's cues.

My wife's wedding dress was a white sundress from a store in the mall that about $50. Our wedding had under 20 guests. It was barely planned. She would have been fine with just going to the courthouse together. The whole wedding obsession thing seems to be for rich people.

Being attractive is pretty integral to being a Chad. Chad has lost all meaning if it's just any guy who's able to get consistent sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:23 PM
8

Right. I'm like 5'7 and have an average face. Are you saying I'm Chad?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:15 PM
7

Yes. I'm not that attractive. I'm short, I'm not very masculine (openly bisexual too) I'm not rich at all. I have an average face. If the definition of Chad is being stretched to include me than it's pretty much meaningless.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 02:11 PM

We just believe what we see and experience too. It's not that different. I'm not a Chad, I've never struggled much to get casual sex or relationships. I've known a lot of different women with different types when it comes to men. I see ugly losers in relationships everywhere. I think most people are pretty average and end up settling down with other boring average people.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/25 01:47 PM

An acquaintance is someone I spend time with to do a certain activity or because they are mutual friends. We are nice to each other, we have good conversations and it's fun, but it's lacking a certain closeness. A friend is someone I enjoy hanging out and doing nothing with in addition to activities. They are usually someone I talk to on a regular basis about normal life shit. I feel completely comfortable around them, there's no performing.

I couldn't care less what other people do. I have a wife and kids, I love them all dearly, I couldn't imagine life without them. It's not for everybody though. If someone wants to be celibate they should do it.

I was a stay at home dad for a while. I do school drop offs and pickups. I've never missed an extracurricular if I could help it. I take my kids to the park constantly. We go hiking and camping when we can. It gives her a slight bump but I care more about whether she's caring and kind, responsible, emotionally intelligent etc. Funny is fairly low on the list. Appreciating comedy and not getting offended by everything is always a good thing too.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 03:38 PM

I go 50/50. My wife is sometimes funny. Funny is a perk but not the main selling point. It's not enough to create attraction if none existed prior.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 03:28 PM

I do fine with women but I'm bi and I've been hit on by gay men too. Gay men find me more attractive than women do generally. Sometimes it's a nice compliment if the guy is hot but I know a lot of gay men will have sex with any guy so it doesn't mean much.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/25 02:45 PM
9

Most of the women I've dated didn't know I'm bi. Of the 2 that did, one definitely thought less of me because of it. The other one I married. Thankfully it's never been an issue for her. I know it's an issue for most.

There's prep, doxypep, and hpv vaccine. The only risk left is herpes and it's insanely common and has antivirals so they don't care. I'm bi and I still like to be safe but yeah I guess without HIV as a risk it's just no big deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/25 11:57 PM

You do get a substantial amount of women who love bi men and fetishize gay sex too though. Not that it's ideal. Most are disgusted but the ones who aren't are often really into it.

I only ever heard it explained by guys who think marriage = no more sex. I've had casual sex and I'm married. Casual sex never felt like a "compliment". Some drunk girl sucking my dick never made me feel special in any way. I don't think it ever meant I was hot.

There's plenty of prudes too, don't get me wrong. Strip clubs aren't generally seen as such a big deal though. My marriage isn't 100% monogamous anyway so there's that (we are only open to 3somes or same sex though)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 04:15 PM

Montreal. Strip clubs are everywhere, people travel from all over to visit the strip clubs here. They are full nude and you're allowed to touch the strippers. Quebec has a pretty sex-positive culture in general. There's a big porn industry too. My wife knows I'm not wasting money on touching some random tits. I just went to drink with my friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 04:11 PM
9

I went to a strip club a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday, my wife didn't come and didn't care. Granted, strip clubs are part of our culture here, but some couples just trust each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 04:06 PM

They definitely get off on it. A huge portion of it is straight up porn without plot.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 04:01 PM
3

If they'd rather stay as they are that's fine, they might not get what they want but not everyone does. A fat guy is going to struggle more than a fit guy, but no one owes anyone else fitness. If they are okay with the consequences of being fat they can just stay fat, for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 01:32 PM

Then don't do it. If you're happy then congrats, honestly. I only give the advice to people who are unhappy and complaining that they can't get the things they want in life.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 01:20 PM
3

If you can't get in a better financial position that sucks, you gotta work on improving the things you can instead. No one has to improve or be better. If they are satisfied with their life the way it is then good for them. It's advice given to people who are unhappy with their life.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 01:07 PM
19

Financial thing doesn't have to mean getting rich, just getting to a position where you can support yourself and aren't always broke. Being yourself is fine. If it's not working you might want to strive to be a better version of yourself though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 12:34 PM

Self improvement isn't just "therapy". It's getting in shape, getting in a good place financially, gaining confidence, cultivating friendships, getting involved in different hobbies and becoming an interesting, fun, well rounded person. Therapy doesn't necessarily have to be part of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 12:19 PM

Exactly. Music, dancing, drugs (for some) is what brings a lot of people there.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 12:16 PM

There's nothing wrong with either but partying is going to be more attractive than video games to the types of women that go to clubs. Probably to most women in their 20s tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 11:37 AM
20

To them a club is literally just a place to find the guy/girl you're going to have sex with. Zero other purpose.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 11:34 AM

Yeah I do, my comment was just an aside. People act like it's some horrible thing when most people have it. I view one of those groups out of curiosity sometimes, it's gender neutral though so men and women get accused of being cheaters and having STDs, it's just trashy drama. I'm not sure why the groups are allowed.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 07:27 PM

I guess I don't think more gender war bullshit is the solution. Getting women even more used to men complaining about them is a weird thing to want when they're already very used to it. I just don't think bitching and whining about the opposite sex accomplishes anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/25 05:40 PM
33

I don't think there's any shock or surprise among women that men find their sexuality annoying sometimes. Men end to be pretty outspoken about it. I think this stuff gets said too much, to be honest. It's not productive, it's always based on generalizations that not all men/women fit into. I find women who get turned off by vulnerable men annoying too. My solution has always been to not date those women. It's worked out fine.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 06:34 PM

If I went outside right now I'd quickly learn those tokens aren't necessary.

I don't see how social services are comparable to people not wanting to have sex with someone.
/r/MensRights10/09/25 05:15 PM

I've seen it happen. I've seen women in my life say "well I wasn't into him st first but he's kind of growing on me..."

Yep, women liking feminine guys are a minority. Those who like them tend to be really into them though.

I'm not a femboy but I'm a bi guy who isn't overly masculine and yeah there's a certain subset of women who really like it.

And if you have a great conversation where you're making them laugh and have a lot in common you night change their mind.

If you're having friendly conversations with women as you go about your life then you are getting past that first hurdle. If you're not, there's a much bigger problem.

Great I hope it becomes available to them. It would be a relief for women and men. Honestly. I'll stick to real women but I'm not bothered by what other men do.

Most families can't afford to raise kids on a single income. You can be a family oriented man and work. It's what almost everyone does. My wife and I have 3 kids and both work full time, it's absolutely worth it.

People of both genders tend to see men as the dominant force in sexuality. Bi woman? Basically straight. Bi man? Basically gay. Liking men is whst defines their sexuality.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/25 03:05 PM

Attraction and dating/romance/sex aren't a computer program where you can input A, B and C and get a relationship. A lot of men's frustration seems to come from that. They want a step by step guideline with a guaranteed outcome. If they stopped expecting that they might be less disappointed. People date people outside their standards all the time, if they get "feelings". There's no guaranteed way to make chemistry happen though. Life is just unfortunately unfair and some people are naturally mor…

Attraction in general is mostly based on things a person can't control. That's just life. Gotta play the hand you're dealt and make the most of it. I do think it's awful to shame anyone you're not attracted to. It's unfortunate short men experience this so much but at least it made me develop a thick skin lol. I think either gender can have unrealistic standards too but that's not my business. If someone would rather be alone than settle that's fine. Doesn't effect me. It's impossible to make da…

I've seen guys act like women in thst regard too, being ashamed of being into fat women and shit so not dating them publicly or letting their friends know. I'm a short guy and I've wkways managed to find women who don't care so it hasn't been a huge detriment although it does suck. A lot of women are insecure as fuck and feel like some big ugly ogre if their boyfriend isn't significantly taller. Yep. I'm short (5'6/5'7). I don't blame or resent women who aren't into me though since I'm also not into people I'm not attracted to. Life just isn't fair.

Physical attraction as a necessity is so obvious most people don't even think it needs to be said. Attraction isn't set in stone though. You can start to find a person more attractive as you get to know them.

Exactly my point. People are very ignorant about MGM, it's had decades of successful propaganda.
/r/MensRights09/09/25 12:36 PM
2

I was talking about MGM, sorry. I'm not agreeing that MGM is better I'm just explaining the public perception and why comparisons to FGM often fail. With MGM people picture a calm, clean hospital setting and a newborn baby experiencing no pain and it's done so he stays clean. With FGM they picture a 7 year old being held down screaming and crying outside being cut by a rusty blade to make sure she can never enjoy sex. People should be educated about what MGM looks like in underdeveloped countrie…
/r/MensRights09/09/25 12:28 PM
3

Depends where. I know in north america for the most part anesthesia is used nowadays but never used to be. It's why so many say their baby slept through it. They don't talk about the pain they feel later though.
/r/MensRights09/09/25 12:18 PM
5

Yeah probably. It's not covered by our universal healthcare in Canada so it's about $400 out of pocket and that makes a lot of people second guess, that plus doctors here are generally against it and will try to talk you out if it. The medical community in the US is far too complicit, if the doctors would get on board with stopping it then it'd be a huge help.
/r/MensRights09/09/25 12:14 PM
0

I agree with you 100%. I'm just saying MGM has had years of propaganda working for it and tends to be done for different reasons. It's also generally done with anesthesia now so it does look calm to most parents (you hear a lot of "my baby slept right through it"). I'm not arguing that it's okay, I'm just explaining why the public perception is so different.
/r/MensRights09/09/25 12:03 PM
-1

I'm not sure. I know some places in Africa do it in a similarly horrific way to Somalia's FGM. I think most people just tend to picture MGM happening in a calm hospital environment even though it's not always the case.
/r/MensRights09/09/25 11:55 AM
-1

Yeah I'm just saying I think the image of it being a young girl held down screaming makes it even more horrific, and that's what people picture with FGM. Both are abhorrent though.
/r/MensRights09/09/25 11:52 AM

Somalia is pretty bad because it's done on children who will remember and with no anesthesia. Not saying it's ever okay, but it's extra horrific there. I'm lucky I live in a county where circumcision isn't very common now (Canada) but it used to be. I'm circumcised but my son isn't. Some generalizations don't make sense to be gendered at all is what I'm saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 02:39 PM
2

I'm not against all generalizations. Some of them just don't make sense to be gendered. It goes both ways too I'm not just criticizing men for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 01:58 PM
3

No I'm just pointing out it has nothing to do with them having a vagina. It's just something people do and doesn't need to be made into a men vs women thing. It's like saying people with brown hair don't ask questions. True, but misleading.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 01:44 PM
3

They can be useful but sometimes shit is made as a gendered generalization when it shouldn't be. Men complain that women don't ask questions on dating apps and can't you'd conversation. Women complain about the exact same thing about men. It only feels gendered because people are only interacting with one gender that way. Sometimes it's just people being self centered and has noting to do with their gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 01:38 PM
4

Sometimes I hear shit on here thst seems so divorced from reality though but they still claim AWALT, if it doesn't match my experience at all I'll say something. About either gender I don't care. I think people try to gender too much behavior that is just human behavior and women only notice it in men because thats who they are trying to date, and vice versa. I fuck men and women and it's funny sometimes how much the shit said about one gender applies to both.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/25 11:41 AM

Is it usually enough more to actually matter? My wife makes more than me by about... $5000/year. It's nothing. Most couples I know make similar salaries to each other

/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 03:45 PM

I think women's attraction to bad boys is similar to men's attraction to virgins. They want a bad boy who just can't help being soft and sweet with her because she's so special. Men want a woman who is reserved and modest and conservative about sex but can't help but be a sex goddess with him because he's so special. People just want to feel special. I find it interesting thst gay men are also very into "bad boys" but without the underlying "he's bad to everyone but me" part of it. It's just a k…

Charisma and charm. Those hard to define concepts that can't really be taught, those are what make players in my experience. I work with a dude, he's not tall, he's bald, nothing exceptional, but he's ridiculously charming. People are just drawn to him. He doesn't put anyone on a pedestal or try to impress. The other traits help, and the charm won't work on everyone, but it works on a lot of people.

Jaw surgery can be a night and day difference. Knew a girl who went from maybe a 4 to a 7. She previously had an underbite and looks like a different person. It was 2 surgeries and 2 years of braces to accomplish it though. She had her mouth wired shut for a while and had to live with a giant gap between her 2 front teeth for almost a year between surgeries. So it wasn't exactly an easy fix.

Plenty of women do date men who don't care about gender roles. Most relationships have 2 people earning money, both doing chores and both taking care of the kids. That's how my marriage is, it's hardly uncommon.

I'm saying it's already the case that 2 incomes are needed.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 12:35 PM

Right now most women don't get enough income to support a family though The cost of living is insane, it takes 2 incomes. I have 3 kids and my wife and I both work, we live modestly. She could never do it on her own. Neither could I. We are just scraping by.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 12:30 PM

Right, most times 2 incomes are needed for a family. I'm wondering how your scenario would be different enough for unattractive men to get dates.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 04:50 PM

Bi. I'm bi too. I don't give a fuck. My wife is also bi. Half the women I know are bi. I don't know many men who care if a woman is bi. I don't understand why it's such a big deal to women if a man is.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 04:48 PM

Different people are going to have different levels of success. Life isn't fair unfortunately. Work on turning yourself into the person you want to be. Put yourself out there in person and don't worry about apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 04:28 PM
22

Agreed. Some of the terminology might be dumb and cringy but it's fine to want a relationship that isn't lopsided. Both genders get used by shitty people who aren't actually that into them.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 04:19 PM

The fact that theyre attractive means girls grow up seeing the dream as getting the good and attractive man, though. They see the whole package, so do boys who watch it. Movies are always about getting the good and attractive guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 11:56 AM

Morally sound man who also happens to be attractive though. I think all those things matter tbh, the degree to which they matter just depends on the woman. People should be encouraged to work on the things they actually have control over instead of just whining, I guess. Sometimes you get played a shitty hand in life and you just need to make the best of it because life isn't fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 11:40 AM

Disney where the attractive powerful man gets the princess? I'm as BP as they come and I've never been told and would never tell anyone that looks and status don't matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 11:19 AM

Movies almost always have women wanting attractive men. Every teen show involved girls having crushes on a cute guy. Every girl I grew up with talked about which guys were hot. Famous attractive singers would have girls obsessing over them. I'm a 30 year old Canadian guy and I was never taught that looks don't matter. I will never understand how women men came to believe it. People tell you to work on your flirting because you can't always change your looks, you might as well work on the things …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 11:17 AM

It's not an insane amount of communication to get a pretty good idea of where someone stands about that stuff though. It's important conversations to have. I dated a woman who considered porn cheating but we never talked about it before, after that I made sure to talk about it, along with communication with exes and opposite sex friendships. I just consider it part of getting to know someone. I'm glad things like hanging out alone with the opposite sex aren't immediately seen as cheating anymore…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 01:45 AM

That's just dating. That's a normal part of dating and figuring out if you want a relationship with someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 01:33 AM

If they disagree with the boundaries then you're obviously not a match and should just move on. It's okay for you to have them and it's okay for others to find them controlling.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/25 01:32 AM

Add to that tracking their partners every move on an app. So weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 06:43 PM

Exactly. It doesn't matter what other couples consider cheating, as long as your partner is on the same page.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 06:43 PM

I consider myself both. I think both genders have important issues and both deserve attention. I don't consider it a zero sum game. I can care about circumcision and abortion rights.

Unfuckingbelievable. They learned nothing from the last election.
/r/MensRights03/09/25 01:32 AM

Yeah, it's harder. It's harder for ugly men and short men and mentally ill men too. Life just isn't fair. Gotta work with what you got.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 09:20 PM

I know a few married guys who I'm sure are probably autistic. I'm not autistic but it doesn't seem that impossible. It might just require some extra effort on learning social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 08:44 PM

They are just jealous because we are the superior canadians!
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 08:25 PM

It's something we hear a lot from tourists and stuff. I personally don't really see it. Maybe certain trendy neighborhoods but that's true everywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 08:19 PM

Nah, Montreal. I've just always been fairly picky about my types. My type isn't conventionally attractive though so it's never been an issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 07:51 PM

Everyone's has different tastes. I find probably half of the random men I see ugly, and I live in a city known for attractive people. I'm attracted to maybe 10% of the men and women I see on a regular basis. I'm probably exceptionally picky though. One thing I do notice is straight men often seem to overrate other men compared to how women or gay men would view them.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 07:42 PM

Because they don't want to settle for a bad surface personality when they could have a person who's entire personality they like.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 07:17 PM

Caring about it more doesn't mean they need to look past a surface personality they dislike. The whole personality matters, people don't want to put up with an unattractive surface personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 06:02 PM

Personality includes what we see first and what's deeper. No one has to put up with a negative experience hoping there's something better deeper inside when they could just be with someone who has a personality they fully like. It's possible to care about the depths and the surface. I don't expect anything of autistic men, it's their choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 05:28 PM

That is special treatment. It sounds like you want dating charity. If their personality was attractive enough to be given a chance then they'd be given a chance without the "charity".
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 05:21 PM

People "give a chance" to those they like and are attracted to. If an autistic man is likable and attractive to a woman he will do okay. Are you saying they should get special treatment?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 05:16 PM

That's fair. I just find usually if someone isn't big on masturbating they have a low drive but there's always exceptions.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 04:53 PM

Oh yeah I see thst everywhere. I was just talking about the ridiculous idea that only hot men have sex so if I've dated and fucked women I must therefore be hot lol
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 04:31 PM

A woman not masturbating very much is a red flag to me tbh. Been there done that. Luckily most women I've been with did it often.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 04:11 PM

I don't think it's something wrong with individuals. I think society in general has gotten way less social, it's not the fault of any random guy. It sucks. I didn't mean to brag, I didn't think 6 was a huge body count or anything just average, especially for soneone who partied a lot and did a lot of drugs. I've had sex with more men than women lol and that's definitely not bragging because gay men have no standards. Anyway I'm sorry if it came off that way.

Hostels are amazing for hooking up. So many single people looking for a fling.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 03:59 PM

I admit I'm unattractive but have guys on here insisting I must be hot since I've had sex with more than one woman in my life. People on here have weird ideas of what's attractive sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 03:58 PM
1

I mean, I guess, I never considered myself very attractive. I'm not tall, I'm not very masculine, but I guess I appeal to some women. I also have a lot of undeserved confidence and I'm fun to be around (when I'm drinking - which is far too often haha, I used to do a shit ton of coke and mdma and hung around with people doing the same too). I'm sorry it's been harder for you. I don't think 22 is an abnormal age to lose your virginity though. I'm glad you eventually found someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/25 03:52 PM
4

Yeah, it's not enough for me. I think some guys with no standards just project it on everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:45 PM
4

Skinny, cute face. That already eliminates a lot haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:44 PM

Any woman just "existing" isn't enough to be sexually attractive to me. Only the ones I find hot. Maybe there's a disconnect here and other men feel differently. I am only interested in women I find hot though, and even that's just a bare minimum.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:36 PM
10

Agreed. I'm the same. They gotta be cute and I need to like them.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:22 PM

Yeah women just "existing" isn't enough for me or any man I know, unless it's just for purely casual sex, even then I judge dudes with zero standards though.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:18 PM
6

I don't agree with either but I don't think they are contradictions. It's basically "women are normal and well adjusted despite our problems so why aren't you?". It's dumb though.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 12:07 PM
1

Everyone's experience is different I guess. I'm not saying I was some Chad or anything, I just never felt like getting a girl interested in me was that difficult a task. I started seeing my first girlfriend around 14 and I had a few others before meeting my wife, with some hookups between them. Around 6 girls total? Maybe it was just my social circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 11:53 AM

Haha yup. "You're bored? Go outside and find something to do"
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 11:31 PM

I'd probably still play the social circle game because I'm extroverted and make a much better impression in person compared to an app. I'd expect it to ne difficult though.

So my situation is weird. I have 2 young kids of my own and the teenager is adopted. We've had custody since she was 10 and have since officially adopted her. Biologically she's my niece (my brothers kid, he's an addict). But yeah I've been with my wife since my early 20s so i did skip a lot of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 08:15 PM

30 years ago is an exaggeration, haha. I'm 30 now, when I was a teenager people still socialized a lot. I partied my way through high-school. It's that forgotten middle ground between OLD and cold approaching strangers though and it's how people dated and fucked for a long time before tinder existed. It probably sounds crazy to people who struggle to even have friends though. I feel for gen Z, it sounds demoralizing as hell.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 08:09 PM
5

Yeah. It's rough out there. I socialize more than my teenage daughter, it's weird man.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:48 PM
7

Sure. Just saying back then most people just ended up in relationships with people in their social circle instead of swiping strangers. It was a lot simpler.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:42 PM

People didn't have a buffet of options on their phone. They just got with people in their social circle. I miss it.

5'7 ish
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:34 PM

I'm not sure, not everyone partied, and some stuck to serious relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:23 PM
14

Yes. People hung out with and parties with mixed gender groups regularly.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 07:08 PM

It hasn't changed in any major way but it's made me realize my usual advice doesn't really work for gen Z because they are lacking the social life and social skills I had at that age. So they can't just go mingle and randomly end up going home with a woman, they see everything as very structured and step by step and don't have the same sort of spontaneous socializing going on. It really sucks for them. I wish there was an easy solution.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 06:33 PM

Younger has it's own set of issues. I've always just preferred to date people in the same stage of life as me with a similar past.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 05:12 PM
6

It should be mutual. With every woman I've e er dated there's been mutual effort. I might break the ice making the first move but I don't go out of my way to impress and entertain women. Either they like me or they don't. I haven't done much "traditional" dating, though. Usually I'd sleep with a woman first and then we decide we are in a relationship and sometimes go on dates, and by then things are pretty equal. If you're being a dancing monkey it sounds like you're pursuing women who just aren…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/25 03:18 PM

I think bars still have potential. I go sometimes and while I'm not looking for anything I do often end up having friendly conversations with women while smoking outside. If I was interested I could pretty easily flirt.

My comment wasn't gendered, I think it's wrong no matter who does it.

I guess it depends on the context of him "pointing out women doing bad things". A lot of people do it as a form of "See? Your gender is bad!" even though the person they're talking to didn't do anything wrong and is just being lumped in by having the same genitals.
/r/MensRights30/08/25 01:45 PM

People live in their own realities I guess
/r/MensRights30/08/25 12:39 PM

Both should be called out when it happens. I just don't agree with "you have a vagina, and this other person with a vagina said something sexist!!" and replace vagina with penis as well haha. I don't expect anyone to answer for or explain someone else's sexism or take any responsibility.
/r/MensRights30/08/25 12:29 PM
10

I don't expect women to take responsibility for shitty things other women do, or even call them out. I don't expect that of men either, though. Just because another human happens to have the same genitalia as ne doesn't mean I need to apologize on his behalf or try to change his behaviour. I think "surround yourself with better people" is decent advice for anyone.
/r/MensRights30/08/25 12:20 PM

I don't think the universe rewards people either. Or religious entities. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people all the time. If you're going to stretch your definition of reward to the point no one else would use it that way then it's not useful. Romance isn't "do A, B then C and you'll get it" there's no step by step guide or rubric to follow. It's about people's feelings amd you can do everything "right" and a person just isn't attracted to you, or a person can …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 04:04 PM

Because she didn't get with me to reward me, it wasn't her intention or mindset. She did it because it's what she wanted. It was a selfish decision on her part, which isn't a bad thing. I've had sex with a decent amount of men and never have I thought "this guy is nice, he deserves to fuck me". No. I just thought "this guy turns me on, I want him to fuck me".
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 03:55 PM
2

Romance is not a reward either. It's something both people want with each other, just like sex, not something one person is rewarding the other person with. I met my wife while doing an escape room with mutual friends. We talked and there was chemistry, it led to flirting. I got her number before she left. So I guess my advuce would be to go out, be social, meet people, flirt, have fun and if there's a connection ask them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 03:48 PM
10

Haha what? I'm as blue pilled as they come and sex is absolutely not a reward. That's weird "nice guy" shit that everyone makes fun of.

My wife is amazing, man. The last thing I ever want is for her to resent me or feel unappreciated. She does so much for me and the kids already. I want to take as much off her plate as I can. I'm her husband, not another kid. We share the burden because we are both adults capable of cooking and cleaning.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 12:11 AM

I don't think I'm an outlier. Where I live pretty much everyone works full time, men and women. Housewives and SAHMs are fairly rare. My wife and I work similar hours but her job is more stressful. I don't think either of us needs to learn to fight haha
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 12:04 AM

My wife works harder than me, why would it be solely her job? We are a team. Sometimes she cooks, sometimes I cook, sometimes we order out.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 11:57 PM

Yeah I believe that. I don't disagree with everything the other pills say anyway, I just dislike the doomerism and exaggeration of black pill or the AWALT attitude of red pill, but they definitely make some good points.

I'm not a Chad, but I've never struggled with sex or dating either. It's always come fairly easily. I do sympathize with lonely guys who are struggling in that area. Unfortunately once they are deep enough into the incel mindset they just hurl insults and angrily insist I must be rich or my wife must not be attracted to me because my situation doesn't fit their world view. If women were calling men "moids" or speaking with radical feminist man-hating terms I'd be pretty dismissive of them too. T…

I've never done traditional dating. I've always just started sleeping with someone and then we decide we are in relationship. If I was dating I'd probably stick to coffee and a walk around a fun neighborhood. To me dinner dates are reserved for someone you're already in a relationship with.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 11:18 PM

I wouldn't date an attractive person with a shitty personality and I don't know many who would.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 05:45 PM

Being attracted to someone is a requirement. Of the people someone is attracted to, personality and connection are generally valued. They are still valued even if attraction is a requirement.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 05:34 PM

Most women I know just date average boring men. My sister gets with sketchy guys but she's the only one I know who does.

It depends on the type of woman he's after.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 04:34 PM

You can value personality and connection and still not be attracted to a particular guy. Attraction matters. Someone can be a great human and you still don't want to fuck them.

I envy people who don't know what "foid" means.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 04:03 PM

I 100% agree with all of that. Sounds like we are on the same page.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 03:59 PM
4

You were 16! Still a child! The doomerism inherent in those communities is terrible for anyone but extra terrible for a young mind. It's not the terms, I don't care about them, it's the attitude surrounding it all. Them calling women foids is a symptom, not the problem. Again, the goal isn't to get them to stop talking like incels. The incelspeak is just a pretty good metric for whether someone is too far gone, in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 03:06 PM
4

It's not that I have an issue with the vocabulary necessarily, it's what it represents. In my experience once someone is at the point of using incel-speak there's usually no productive conversation to be had. They are so deep in the mindset and have made their minds up about women. There's some exceptions, I am on r/incelexit a lot, but outside of there I rarely see good faith conversation with someone once they're in that deep. We need to help them before they reach that point.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 02:42 PM
5

Is "be selective about who you hit on" blue pill advice? If so then yeah I guess. I'm short and average looking and if I hit on a bunch of random women I know I'd be rejected 90% of the time at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 02:02 PM
3

A lot of these guys are still teenagers, or early 20s. They need to take a chill pill for the time being. It's rough out there, they probably need to change how they're doing things. If they get that many rejections it sounds like they're not being very purposeful and selective about how they're approaching women.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 01:57 PM

Dinner dates are too much for a first date anyway. Grab a coffee and go for a walk, or grab a drink and play pool or something. It shouldn't be an expensive thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 12:07 PM
5

It's not "a logical reason" to say it's over if you're under 6ft. Saying it's harder if your short is. The doomerism, exaggeration and incel jargon makes me think they're in too deep to expect any good faith discussion
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 11:55 AM
12

Yeah people tend to put their best foot forward in the beginning and their partner has rose colored glasses on. I think it's just a human thing. I think it's crazy sometimes how this sub genders things, I'm bi and all this exact same shit exists in gay relationships too.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 01:14 AM
9

I see them saying that the same as men saying all their exes were crazy. Maybe it's true, but there's probably 2 sides to it. Most of the women in my life are just dating normal men and most normal nice men in my life are in relationships. I don't see a lot of toxic men being chased. Just average boring people dating average boring people.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 01:04 AM
14

I think its not two black and white groups of "bad" and "good" men. There's a lot of grey area. I think even decent people can be toxic and manipulative at times. I just don't think it's that useful to box people thst way. Most people are just boring and average and not exceptionally good or bad, just a mixture of positive and negative traits. Women too. We tend to focus on the negative with exes and forget about the reasons we chose them to begin with. I think attractive and extroverted men ten…

I know lots of women with nice husbands/boyfriends, I think it's incorrect to say good guys aren't getting women.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 12:35 AM

I think it's rare for a man who doesn't have issues with women to talk that way. Maybe they exist, but they must know by talking that way they are giving a certain impression.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 12:34 AM
52

Pretty much everyone has "shitty exes" because they are portraying things through their own view it. Both genders like to accuse their exes of being crazy, narcissistic, etc. It's refreshing when someone actually talks positive about their ex.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 12:19 AM
6

The "it's over" attitude, the exaggeration and the jargon usually means they are in too deep and almost impossible to engage with and probably won't be discussing things in good faith. I've seen some come around, at incelexit etc, but usually I don't find it worth it, they usually have their mind made up about women by that point. There's nothing more detrimental to a lonely struggling guy than hom getting involved in incel-esque spaces online. They don't offer support they just reinforce every …
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 12:14 AM
9

If they do thst I don't lose sympathy. When the incel rhetoric and language comes out I do because usually they're too far gone. It's one thing to say "I wish I was taller, dating at my height is difficult" it's another to say "I'm not 6ft so it's over for me I'll need to be a betabux" .
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 10:59 PM
5

That's fairly uncommon for your age but yeah I didn't mean to imply it's only a gen Z problem. It's just worse for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 09:32 PM
12

It's not blame, it's just the fact that social isolation and rejection contributes to it. People are assholes to lonely awkward guys even if they aren't incels.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 08:29 PM
22

This is how I feel. I have a lot of sympathy for lonely guys who struggle to date and have sex. These guys are at a high risk of becoming incel-types and I think treating them harshly just pushes them in that direction. Sexlessness and loneliness among gen Z is a real issue that should be taken seriously. I just lose sympathy when they start talking about Chad, hypergamy, and not being 6ft tall. Once they've started down that hole it's extremely hard for them to get out.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 07:42 PM

Yeah honestly my wife masturbates to gay ass twinky video game vampires and shit so hyper masculine isn't my goal lol
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 07:27 PM

I've never been overly masculine. I'm bi too. My wife likes skinny guys who aren't overly masculine though. I just want to do it for my own confidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 06:48 PM

I know I know. I've always been skinny and I'm only 5'6. I've just never had the discipline needed to go to the gym regularly but I want to start. I think it'd be good for my mental health too.
