Yes, feminism has done on a number on relationships and commitment. But it's not just unrealistic expectations. It's simply men and women not wanting anything serious. After my long term relationship breakup, I spent close to 5 years on and off trying to find a boyfriend. I'm not fat, I'm not ugly, I don't have bad vices, I'm in a high earning white collar profession. And let me tell you. I've met plenty of men who simply wanted a fun time without commitment. There are good men out there and the…

That's assuming the man makes more. Female breadwinners are on the rise. I'm in a better income bracket than most men I date. Should I assume marriage is risky for me?

Many factors. Age, financial stability, etc.

Okay but I've often heard from close male friends they wanted to show their wild oats before committing to marriage.

That's what the idea I was trying to convey. If he's not ready, he's not ready. Period.

May I add. Sometimes, when a man achieves money, status and power after coming from a background of scarcity, he changes, sometimes for the worst. He doesn't want to settle down. He believes he deserves prettier, younger, better, who knows....or he wants to have as many women before he settles down.

Maybe. But it's not uncommon. I've heard some men say, I didn't wanna marry her, but I was okay being in a relationship with her for X number of years. Obviously, for the benefit of sex, companionship and minimal responsibility.

Thanks for your insight. It's really good advice. Dating is definitely very hard and good men are rare these days.

Yep. Very well stated. Happened the same with my ex and getting closer to wedding date. The yelling escalated. I broke off the engagement.

Oh, I'm not attracted to men without jobs. There are plenty of men who have suitable careers with good earning who use that as a sticking point to attract women. However, do you think it makes sense for a woman to go for a man who she is completely unattracted to? Just because he more stable than the other men? I've met men who were great in many aspects and I felt absolutely zero attraction for. Should I have forced myself to like them just for stability purposes?

I've been with a man who was a yeller. It never gets better. It gets worse. I spent a decade trying to fix him, trying to fix me until one day, the yelling got so bad, I was traumatized and ended our relationship. I'm so happy I got out. I'm sorry. But he doesn't even want to acknowledge he has a problem. He says it's how he talks. That's how my ex would respond. I'd divorce if I were you. There is nothing you can do to fix him. Believe me, I've been there. I'd jump through hoops trying to chang…

But being a player or alpha or asshole or whatever doesn't automatically mean every woman is gonna fall for the guy. With that said, a man almost never compromises on sexual attraction and chemistry towards a female partner. A man either wants to bed a woman or doesn't. Simple. Maybe sometimes in close proximity, an attraction develops. But nowadays if it's online dating, first come first serve, I think the man will either say yes or no. I think rarely men will go, well, she's got great qualitie…

Yeah good point. That's why I'm asking for advice. Generally, bad boys are perceived as alpha but in reality, they make poor husbands and fathers.

How long did it take you to develop the spark? Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don't. It's just so incredibly hard to meet a decent man these days. Most of the men I meet, they like me but I don't like them back.

Good point but I disagree. I have dated a man where I was more attractive and he still was a player. Part of the reasons why your man is happy is because you're probably the best he could ever do. If he was more attractive or had more status or both, things would change. It's a hard reality because I noticed too that men much less attractive than me would be after me far more and there's a reason why. Their options are limited.
/r/RedPillWomen19/03/24 02:09 AM

I disagree about nun mode. Waiting 6 months to date doesn't guarantee she'll land a HVM on the 7th month. This is very erroneous thinking. She should go out there, have fun, date around (aka not casual sex) and not put pressure or a deadline on herself that she has to get married by XYZ. There are plenty of women who got married before 30 and ended up in a messed up marriage. My friend got married at 28. Had a big, beautiful expensive wedding. Big beautiful ring. House and baby. She knew the guy…

I keep hearing this argument from men that marriage isn't worth it because women take half the money but TBH, I don't really see this from a practical standpoint. Most women are working women today. There is a rise of female breadwinners, albeit small. There is a trend of getting married past 30. If anything, I'd say marriage is becoming more egalitarian. I believe partly (because it's not just one cause) feminism has absolved men of responsibilities. Before, a man had to get married to access s…

Oh, I agree with you. Long term it doesn't work. Women need to look up to a man somehow and men want a pretty, young and fertile woman. For example, studies show marriages where the woman is better looking than the men fare better than where the man looks better as far as men are more satisfied with a better looking wife.

/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 05:55 PM

Yes but also factor in, from what I have read. That women who earn more tend to continue doing the same amount of housework, they tend to not go for promotions, and tend to underplay their salary to appease their men. They are also more prone to IPV.
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 05:53 PM
1

It does make sense. However, I would be limited to a very small pool of men. What really upsets me is, why waste my time 4-5 dates in to realize you can't handle it?
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 05:50 PM
2

Also, I think society is deconditioning men from being providers. And I say this when a man takes me out and some insist on going halfsies.
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 03:58 PM
4

Nah that's honest. I think it's part society and part innate desire. I'd love for a man to dote on me with his time, effort and money. I realize that may not be reasonable. I try to accept it as is. But I understand. I just wish more men would be upfront about it because society today gives us a lot of mixed messages. We go on dates and expect to pay halfsies so it sometimes makes me wonder, if the men asking for halfsies really want to be providers.
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 03:57 PM
7

This makes a lot of sense. I've had friends give me similar advice. That I need to go for higher caliber men. I will say it is actually far more difficult to do that because the pool is that much smaller. Albeit, I do not mind dating an older man with a child, if he fits into that category. Also, as far as high standards goes, part of me feels guilty for let's say wanting to date a lawyer (example) even though I'm right up that alley socioeconomically wise. I feel like it sounds partly shallow a…

No, I do not. I try to downplay it actually. It doesn't work.
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 02:56 AM
6

You are right. I have seen couples where the woman is in a higher position and on finding out, they met when they were younger, when they were in similar situations and then over time things changed but of course with time, comes trust and so on. Not always but this scenario provides more stability than mine where I meet men 30+, we're in the same age range and they see otherwise.
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 02:05 AM
4

I don't want to come across as showy or arrogant. But what I do notice is some odd comments that come along such as them emphasizing how hard they work or that they're knowledge in XYZ, or just in general, like an extra emphasis on their work. And from there, I get the impression that here goes the competition even though I don't want to compete.
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 01:25 AM
5

It's just very frustrating. Because some of these men go on for 4-5 dates before they end it. It's like, why even prolong it this far only to bail?
/r/RedPillWomen18/02/24 01:07 AM
6

I understand this. Taking me out on dates, spending time and effort communicating, gifting me flowers, driving to see me....For me, this is also a sign of providing.

I'll redact and say the issue is the job title.

Not every man in the Passport Bros is a genuine man genuinely wanting to provide. Have you seen the show 90 Day Fiance? It's myopic but there were a couple of relationships on there where the man (there was a woman, too) used his leverage as a citizen and higher income to leverage power over the relationship, aka verbal abuse and probably financial control. That is NOT okay. And it's disgusting. It happened in the past, too, and part of the reasons for the feminist movement. As someone who used …

Okay, so what happens when you're young, feminine, beautiful wife ages? Do you throw her out?
/r/RedPillWomen31/12/23 02:35 AM

Your comment gives off the vibe that you automatically assume the woman earns less, and hence, looks for a man to provide and provision for her. What about when the woman is in a higher income bracket than the average man? You're the type of man that would NOT be comfortable with a woman who earns double or more than yourself. So a home maker is perfect for you.
/r/RedPillWomen30/12/23 04:57 PM

Again, that's anecdotal on your part and my part. I am not bitter about coffee dates because I don't go on them, I threw that out there generically because it seems to be a growing trend these days.

Yeah maybe but I think the root cause of coffee dates is stinginess, low effort and low interest.
/r/RedPillWomen30/12/23 06:48 AM

There are diners and smaller scale restaurants. You're giving extreme contrasts. I cannot get to know a person over a coffee date at a Starbucks where there's blasting music and college kids everywhere. It's not a conducive atmosphere for romance. Every coffee date I've had never ended up in anything and most men who did invite me for coffee dates were stingy not just with money but with everything else. And most didn't want anything serious either. Even if a woman is using a man for free dinner…

/r/RedPillWomen29/12/23 06:51 PM

Yes but that's one case. She's in the minority. I'm not man, I don't take out women for dates, but yes, I've heard food diggers exist. With that said, a man should be smart enough to discern a woman's intentions. It's easy to tell who's a food digger and who's genuine. But some refuse to see the truth because of a disparity mindset.
/r/RedPillWomen29/12/23 06:49 PM

I think FDS was born out of women bitter over how they were treated by men. I don't think it was necessarily about finding the best man with the biggest paycheck. There were too many posts on there of women complaining about their dates stringing them on coffee dates and insisting on casual sex. Low effort men.
/r/RedPillWomen29/12/23 06:37 PM

"We've become the men our grandmother's wanted to marry." So what do you think will happen in 100 years? I think your argument is in dissonance to the arguments on Red Pill male spaces, where they always complain about women draining men of money and while to a degree, that may be true today, what about in 100 years when women will be the primary breadwinners across the board culturally?
/r/RedPillWomen29/12/23 06:31 PM
7

Most Red Pil spaces encourage men not to marry, and use women for sex with as little money, time and effort as possible.
/r/RedPillWomen29/12/23 06:28 PM
2

I think Instagram has really given a myopic view of how relationships should be like vs reality.
/r/RedPillWomen29/12/23 06:48 AM
3

All great points. I think I was more so wanting to say that yes, a working woman can still retain her femininity but only if she has a spouse next to her who supports her. If a woman is doing it all by herself, it's a lot harder to be feminine.
/r/RedPillWomen29/12/23 06:43 AM
12

Yeah, I've noticed RP forums tend to trash women with x body counts, careers, over 30, single mothers, with tattoos, etc etc....while simultaneously encouraging men to date as many as possible with the least amount of time, effort and money. They advocate finding submissive women without actually doing the actual work that would make a woman submit.
/r/RedPillWomen28/12/23 06:53 PM

So it's basically a middle ground. She can't be too out of his league and she can't be too convenient either.
/r/RedPillWomen28/12/23 06:51 PM

All very good points. And yes, I've noticed men who've had SAHM tend to assume more traditional roles like paying the dinner tab than those who didn't.

There isn't much literature on it now because it's a relatively recent phenomenon. But from the little there is, female breadwinners tend to pick up more household chores, husbands are more likely to cheat, women are also more likely to cheat, and men are more likely to experience ED.

Good points. However, many masculine men generally avoid women that are more educated and/or higher earning than them. Again, if they are truly masculine, it would not matter as much, but many still prefer a traditional dynamic. So it's not much about being a boss babe, because you can have a boss babe who is feminine and wants to be taken care of.
/r/RedPillWomen28/12/23 12:50 PM

You have very good points. A combination of empowering women, beating down on men and etc etc etc. However, with all that aside, women still prefer men to take on some provider role aka bring in money as much or more than her. I read somewhere that marriage is on the decline because there are less marriageable men job wise. Also, don't know how accurate this is, but, according to Jordan Peterson, the female sex was a motivator for men to better themselves. It doesn't seem so today, with access t…

Can a man be an alpha with a partner who's making at least 2x what he makes?
/r/RedPillWomen28/12/23 05:49 AM
14

Where in the whole post is there a, "Why aren't these guys throwing money at me on first dates"? Paying for a dinner is not throwing money at a woman, especially if she can fully provide for herself. 55%/45%? That 5% certainly doesn't resonate with provider but more like roommate. You're looking for a roommate woman, not a wife you can provide for....because probably you cannot afford to provide but want the benefit of being called a provider.

And make sure you earn less than him. If you're over educated or in a field with more potential to outearn him, it doesn't matter how submissive, attractive, or feminine you are, most men will not feel comfortable with the dynamic and seek other women.

He sounds narcissistic and insecure at the same time. He seems one of those guys who likes to wield his status over a woman as leverage. His intention is to make you feel less than, so that you jump over hoops to keep him, and ultimately, accept his poor behavior. Please have some self respect for yourself and walk away. His doctor status isn't worth the hassle.

/r/RedPillWomen14/10/23 02:49 AM

I think both sides have issues. If a man wants a woman to be feminine, he has to play his masculine part. A woman has a very difficult time being feminine when a man insists they go splitsies on dates. A woman is instinctively drawn to a man's generosity. Going splitsies on dates is a turn off, especially in the beginning of dating when a man is supposed to woo a woman. We're not talking about the most extravagant dates. But when I see a man penny pinch on a pizza and ice cream date, I can't hel…

I have to disagree about men not wanting your education, career or degrees. Many men today are struggling financially. They cannot afford to sustain a family solely on one income. Many men today cannot afford to pay the dinner tab on a date. Hell, there's dozens of TikToks with women complaining that men are asking them to Venmo their half of the dinner tab. Franky, it's pathetic. If you're a man and you can't afford to date, then don't date. There's PUA forums advising men how to have sex with …

This has, unfortunately, also been my experience. It starts off with innocent jabs. This was their family dynamic. I turned a blind eye to it. But when he got angry, it turned into verbal abuse. This depends. I don't mind it. But I have dated a man as such in the past who would make disparaging remarks about himself a little here and there. Men that don't care about a woman's finances are ones that are earning well enough not to care. Most men do care because they don't wanna foot the bills every time, and are generally, not in that income bracket to become providers.

You're assuming that men who are good looking with lucrative jobs and women who are beautiful are unable to provide compatibility and values. Yes, it can happen. But that's an assumption. This entire sub is about men's basic instinct of being providers. So how is a guy that doesn't pay on a first date compatible with the definition of a provider? Most men these days want to date women who work. Most men cannot afford to become full providers, even if they wanted to. It's an economic reality. There's nothing wrong if men or women want to pursue traditional gender roles, but it's misleading to tell women that being pretty, feminine, submissive and traditional will attract a provider. I don't think feminism has been that toxic as you make it out to be. What about all those wives that have been financially abused by their husbands? The other aspect you have to look at is that most men nowadays don't have the financial means to become full providers even if they wanted to.

Half of medical students are female. That's why I don't understand this argument. Yes, there are divorce laws. But most families today are both working parents. So if you're married to a female doctor or lawyer, what's the problem? If anything, she's the one that has to be worried.

Actually, the more educated and well off you are, the less children you have. So if there's less skilled labor, how is that helping society?

In this day and age, I've seen plenty of loose women paired up with high earning men.

Most married women? Do you realize households with female breadwinners are on the rise? The majority of men these days, even if they wanted to, cannot become full providers. Who is stopping her from becoming financially stable? Do you know about emotional abuse? It can happen quite easily. I do not envy these types of women whatsoever. Most of them cannot provide for themselves and rely on their men, and the lifestyle isn't that glamorous to begin with. And older men, because they are human too,…

The reality is that most of these relationships are highly transactional on both ends. And I think it can breed a lot of resentment and jealousy on both parties. She's dependent on him financially, he knows he's not getting any younger. I've seen this play out - the man sabotages the woman by making sure she's 'down' and unable to become financially stable on her own so she doesn't leave him. Basically, he gives her enough to keep her down.

It's not hard to pick up on a man who's a player, which is kinda implied in your post. Okay, so get a woman who's also too 5%. Yes, she'll be older but doesn't mean she won't be attractive.

Older men who earn well will generally hold it over her head he's making money, he's established and she's depending on him financially. I've seen this play out. These women are not as happy as they say to me.

Most men are unable to sustain stay at home wives. It's a reality. And the ones that can are generally wealthier men looking for highly attractive women.

I'd also like to add that men are becoming less masculine. There is a crisis of effeminate men today and it's a very sad reality.

I'd like to add that even if a woman is totally okay with dating lower than her SA class, many men aren't. This isn't a one way decision that depends solely on the woman. Secondly, sexual attraction is very important. Yes, give the guy you're not attracted to a chance, but don't force yourself to become sexually attracted to him. Eventually, that doesn't work out. When you say give the guy with 20 extra lbs a chance, it's the same analogy as saying, give the broke guy who can't pay for your dinn…

Thank you for posting your story. It's a wake up call to a lot of women. There is so much hateful rhetoric on the Internet, attacking both sexes. Some of it has some truth to it, which is what attracts large audiences. The reality is different. Most men in their 40s are still dating women in their 30s, 40s and even 50s, gasp. An attractive women in her 20s will still get male attention in her 30s and 40s. Women don't hit The Wall in their 30s. I've noticed that men who claim to be alpha are more…

I've observed that many heavily tatted men will pair up with no tattoos women. It's odd right.
