Either you are exceptionally good looking, your delivery is insane or the girls must have not been very attractive. It sounds lame but this is how dating is, man. If you're ugly, you're never going to hit it off with hot gals short of some insanely lucky and Tom Brady level game. I think a lot of guys here really over-analyze it. The truth of the matter is that you don't really need to be super fancy or suave. Women who find you physically attractive will let you make some mistakes (some will ev…

Personally, I’ve never really seen a good looking guy fail to get with women overall. A good looking inc*l is basically unheard of unless they have actual rocking in the corner autism or something. Maybe these dudes exist but most good looking guys I’ve met don’t even have that good of game but the women just don’t give a fuck. I’ve cringed hard at some of the shit I’ve heard and watched but they got laid all the same. Women will really make things easy if they think you’re attractive. You just …

The impact of looks can be short lived (halo effect says opposite but whatever) but it’s vital all the same. You’re not going to be making any headway if your looks is the reason she’s unreceptive. And let’s face it, your looks is by far the biggest reason why women are unreceptive when you remove other logistical things that would eliminate everyone regardless (has a boyfriend, just got out of a relationship, stressed out, etc.).

I don’t think it’s really true that a woman needs to uplevel your life. I am not seeing that overall. I’m sure there are men who can make that happen but they must be a rarity. Almost always the women earn significantly less and contribute less to the household overall in terms of hours worked. I am surrounded by rich and UMC people though. Men work really fucking hard in my bracket.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/23 10:12 PM

Can you explain this more in-depth? I'm not sure I entirely follow.

Be funny, be supportive, help around the house. That's when she wants you. This seems to be focused on being what someone wants after you're already married. I think for the purposes of getting to marriage, this is an insufficient analysis. I think most of us are not focused on how to prevent divorce. We're focused on "how do you even get to marriage" - which for many I think is predestined entirely on, "how do I even get a date or a second date". I don't see many here complaining about women ab…

Relatively they bring less because women bring more now. I feel by definition men would have to bring less to the table otherwise we'd all say that any gender equality we have strived for has failed dramatically. Maybe there are some particular feminists who would argue that men still bring the same amount to the table relatively because we have failed to get gender equality to the degree these feminists want. I wouldn't agree but that's the only take I can imagine that would say men bring the s…

People talk about the average weight, height, education, income, etc. here and they cite stats that are centered around 50 year olds.

I think you can be “settling” even if you don’t believe you can do better. I settled for people in the past because I legitimately thought I couldn’t do better or get anything else. Which was very true. I legitimately couldn’t and still can’t get anyone. So, whatever finally accepts me is what I end up spending time with even though I might not like it. Cause I have no other option other than being alone. I think being alone isn’t so great and definitely can’t have a family when alone - so you h…

I’ve never heard settling being used this way. Do you think this is how both men and women use it?

I’d say this is confirmation bias. What I’ve noticed is this: men who met their partners in college end up with similarly successful women often enough. Men who meet their partners after college - like late 20s or in their 30s often have to settle for someone who doesn’t make any money in comparison to them. They will be of a similar socioeconomic class in that she’s educated or whatever but she’ll have a shit job that doesn’t pay much compared to him. I’ve found the woman who makes $250k will c…

I do think people here (mostly the folks succeeding) underestimate how much effect looks has. It’s pretty obvious when you’re a facially ugly person that you’re getting shot down for your looks. A lot of women won’t hide their disgust. That slight twinge they get when they see your face. I don’t know if it’s 90 percent but I do think more here should try having friends and social hobbies. Cold approach should be your last resort and an accessory to everything else you do. It shouldn’t be your ma…

One thing you need to understand is that most people in this sub are trolls and grifters. Just see who posts in every thread regardless of the day. There’s people in here who have no life outside this niche. You can pretty surely just assume their opinions as anything but normal because no one who is normal posts that much.

No. I’d need to be a lot more physically attractive. That’s largest barrier. Looksism is huge. Otherwise, yes, everything else you could try to critique with me is exceptional.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 08:00 PM

Here's the problem, bub. Women already on PPD will say that most men are NPCs, literal background noise. Most men are having trouble getting women to notice them IRL Most men are having trouble getting women to notice them Online I'd argue it is an accurate marker. Is it the end-all-be-all marker? No. However, it does place you very well as whether or not you are noticeable. If you are not noticeable or only noticeable in a bad way (no matches, no likes, etc.) then you're gonna have a hard time …

It's probably a mental problem. I was with a woman who had never experienced orgasming before. That changed after we were together. She was far from sexually inexperienced. She just needed to be in the right mental space and the right physical stimulation as well. This can happen to women well into their 20's.

I know these women. They don't look much different with/without exercise - assuming they aren't one of the girlies who are doing it hardcore. You couldn't tell from looking at them with clothes on normally.

Pilates isn’t cardio. It has cardio emphasis but it’s a lot of core building. Women who do yoga and Pilates tend to be hot. Is it because they do that stuff? Not really. Hot girls just do hot girl things.

Cardio generally won't make you look better for a masculine/muscular appearance. You have to do weight training or something similar in order to gain muscle mass. Cardio in itself won't gain muscle mass.

This depends a lot on who you are and where you are. As evident by the women I know, dating apps clearly work for them. So, it does end up “working” for some guys. I’ll admit, the men I know who have any success on them aren’t average. They all have some feature that makes them stand out from the crowd. Your advice about cold approach sucks though. Cold approach is just as brutal - if not more - than online dating. If you’re doing well via cold approach then you probably have another impressive …

Sexual compatibility is very important. Men are very visual. Clothes on and off can have drastic differences.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 07:10 PM

People sense when you’re only doing something to get laid. It bleeds through your sub communication. People don't, actually. The whole basis of your argument is that people can see through you when they can't at all. This is why we have women who end up with wife beaters and so forth. Most of us are pretty bad at evaluating what someone is actually like in a relationship. A lot of women assume that the way I conduct myself with peers is the same way I act within a relationship. It isn't - it's a…

Why do we focus on the like 1% of people who are autistic when clearly more than 1% of people are ugly? That 1% is also including a lot of ASD people - not full blown rocking in the corner special needs autists. Zoomers think they're autistic when they're just kinda shit at social skills and we have extremely high standards for social performance this day. Can't imagine why - maybe because everything being perfectly rehearsed on tiktok/instagram/etc... No one really sees people struggling social…

This only happens because men find women more attractive. If women desired men the same way as men desire women, women would often befriend men they find attractive. They don’t befriend men they find attractive because it’s only like 5% of the population…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 04:20 PM

It’s basically this. There’s a looks threshold that most ppd women will not acknowledge. Go out into the real world and women will constantly tell you they’re not sucking an ugly dudes dick.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 04:17 PM

There's a girl in the daily who mentioned her bf is well hung and can last an hour in bed. Even if you bedroommaxx you probably aren't going to win if a woman had an ex like that. Women are notoriously bad at estimating penis size - grain of salt with anecdotes like that. Also, an hour in bed isn't really that hard to work up to. It's more likely that you'll suffer from bad cardio on your way to lasting an hour than being unable to control whether you orgasm and go soft. Being well hung isn't a …

The guy would still have more challenges getting in the front door This is where 95%+ of men are struggling. They're not getting even to the front door, to be honest. There's so many obstacles to even get to the porch. Bedroom maxxing is an incredibly niche and dumbass thing to do and a complete waste of time unless you literally have spent max effort everywhere else (which is unlikely). woman may choose the best guy she has had in bed, even if he is not the best looking, but because of his bedr…

Somewhere between [0,1]. It depends on the type of women who are in this room. I meet quite a few women around my age on a regular basis. They often want nothing to do with me because I am not physically attractive. I workout, I dress well, etc. but I am not blessed facially. I even have had cosmetic work and continue to get treatments but until we live in a Star Trek world where they can beam me up with an entirely new face... C'est la vie. I'd love for it to be different but fuggos have no hop…

It’s both. There’s lots of karma farming even on PPD. Also, the most mentally ill people are the most prolific. It’s why they post. People who are normal don’t literally engage with every post on a subreddit. It’s also weird that women in their 50’s post on this subreddit like they’re anything like young women in their 20’s. If you’ve noticed - there’s plenty of men in their 20’s here but very few women in their 20’s. Most of the women are 30’s and up.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 06:08 PM

I've seen quite a few dudes with less attractive women and both were physically fit. This was more noticeable in places like San Francisco where it seemed like most men were dating down. That said, I'd argue that most couples tend to be looksmatched in most parts of the country. The only time I see a significantly more attractive woman with a less attractive man is when he gained weight and she didn't. That's really it. Honestly, most of the guys are usually looksmatched to their partner as soon…

I'd argue that a lot of women also don't want to acknowledge a man is attractive because if they do and that man doesn't approach them then it lowers their self-worth. I think there's some cognitive dissonance going on in these comments. I'd agree overall that they don't find most men even attractive or even bother paying attention to them. But I've known a lot of women and they do think about attractive men and notice them... but a lot of times they'll downplay it very hard if the guy didn't ap…

Being something that is wildly different from a homogenous population is what sets you apart. We are exposed to a lot of different types of people in many parts of the west. We have all races and types. Other countries outside of the west are usually more homogenous. So, as long as you're not whatever the primary race/whatever is in that country - you'll stand out a lot more than you would in the west. That said, there is fetishism of race in most countries. Whether or not that plays into your f…

Yes, they're put off by it. Example: Man who is ripped. Many women actually love this kind of physique. I'd say it's a bit bigger than some would like but it's still good. The issue? That kind of physique normally takes many years of hard work in the gym (fitness being your part time job/main hobby) and possibly some special supplementation that is heavily stigmatized. We've heavily normalized bodies like that as being very achievable because every instagram influencer, hollywood celeb, etc. is …

The average you're talking about is one that is still a 5/10 but has a very large standard deviation. One which doesn't track with real life. The issue is that from what we've seen overall when people rate looks - the standard deviations aren't that large. Someone who is a 5/10 is not getting a bunch of 2/10 and then a bunch of 8/10. Someone who is a 5/10 is not getting 10% of each 1/10 through 10/10. That would still give an average of 5/10 but that's not what happens. That is really a bluepill…

Agree to an extent. I see this plenty with subject matter experts in many fields. However, having confidence over multiple fields tends to bestow one with general confidence. If you get good at multiple things and demonstrate your ability to adapt and learn - you can have general confidence in most any field even if inexperienced. The problem is that feeling comfortable with the situation does not mean you’re good at whatever it is. You might have learned how to speak five different languages. Y…

The issue isn’t that people need to widen their dating age ranges. It’s that people’s standards and what they’re offering don’t line up with what the market is dictating. If you’re not fit and want someone who is fit - it might be a bit of an ask. If you’re broke and want someone who is rich - might be bit of an ask. Etc. That’s the biggest issue we’re seeing today. People with undesirable traits are wanting people with desirable traits. Widening the age between people who date won’t inherently …

I'm not in PE but it is what I would suggest for anyone chasing money. It is more likely to return 7-figure incomes than most any other career. Just go look at the finance career subreddits or whatnot to get an idea. The 7-figure incomes in other fields like tech or whatnot are very often one-timey (IPO/acquisition/etc.) and not repeatable unless you are managing/head of 100+ people. Some other exceptions in tech but it's typically niche and not easily repeatable.

If the average man was approached by a woman, would he always take her up on that offer if there were no repercussions? What does it mean by no repercussions? If it means that the wife is completely fine with it. I imagine many men would take up the offer - assuming that the woman is attractive to him. If it instead means that the wife won't find out because it's a ONS and it's really on the husband to not say anything... No, I don't think most men would do it. Most men aren't cheaters even if g…

Most practical advice would be to join PE. Unrealistic for 99%+ of people but that's a pretty good path to it. And then the biggest second factor is: get lucky. Of course, you need to have been born lucky to begin with.

Have you spent any time in SV? Most of the people in tech - including engineers - are pretty normal people. They're no more autistic/socially-awkward than any doctor you'd run into at a hospital in NYC.

They’re not anti-social. This is some weird IT crowd nonsense. Most of these folks are Ivy League grads and went to prestigious private schools growing up. They’re not anti-social even in the slightest because if they were - they’d be ostracized and unable to climb the corporate ladder. You really know very little about the area and industry. And yes, I was making 7 figures. Income has very little influence on most women outside of height. Again, looks, status, and personality are far more impor…

Once someone is adjusted to living somewhere - they go back into their shell and are not open to dating as much. Specifically, when actively traveling people are more open. When they’re settled/settling into a place - they’re not anywhere near as open. The same issues arise with someone who is temporarily in a country or wherever. End of the day, they’re planning to go back home and changing that is a big deal. It’s one thing to spend a year in a country, it’s another to spend your entire life.

You’re conflating women when they’re traveling with when they’re at home in a routine. It’s well known that people (markedly so with women cause of how big the difference is) are much more open sexually and romantically when traveling. If you’re a man who is traveling, your best options are finding a woman who is also traveling. You can live somewhere with a lot of travelers/visitors (like nyc) too. The downside is that not everyone is a good fit for a long term relationship when you meet travel…

You sound a lot older than most people who are “dating.” You specifically try to attract women in sugar relationships and probably create a profile for that. Good for you and I hope it brings you and your companions happiness. You post a lot about it on Reddit… For general dating for men who are 18-40 and looking to date near their own age, I would say it has little to no influence outside of a simple checkbox “does he make more than me”. I’ve made more than you and as a much younger man. I can …
