Most universities have their own independent police that make arrests and file charges with local prosecutors, so this author is overlooking the thing that everyone finds frustrating about the whole “inebriates cannot consent” policy, which is how the schools handle academic discipline following reports, regardless whether or not criminal charges are ever formally filed.

It’s not really an example of a pussy pass in the sense that having a pussy grants moral and penal immunity to the bearer. I just thought this sub would appreciate the hypocrisy of the host. Behavioral therapy is medicine. But I haven't read the study so I don't know if that's the mechanism that created the subsequent change in behavior in the later generations. If humans evolve, we evolve at a much slower rate. Extinction episodes are known to accelerate the process through natural selection. So yes, unforeseen uncontrollable events events like plague and famine do contribute to natural selection in humans but the simple environmental variations that wreak havoc on other animals do not affect us because we are more adaptable.
