You're right. Too straight forward. Doesn't leave any mystery. I'll work on it. Thanks for all your input.

I should. I'll title it "How to Win Friends and Influence People by not Being an Insecure Man Baby" - that should sell.

I have a very happy fulfilling life with a good career and a beautiful fiancee. I'll come screaming to the manosphere when she inevitably divorce rapes me and runs away with a red pill stemlord though, pinky promise.

Annnnnd I don't care what you think. Enjoy your pseudoscience.

Or I think it's a horseshit idea cherry picked by misogynists to make themselves sound smarter.

That's another thing that annoys me about the "manosphere." If your belief is that women are inherently extremely self-centered, say that. Why the need to dress it up with something more sanitized/high-minded than that? Ideas with merit stand on their own. Solipsism as a philosophy has nothing to do with selfishness, only the belief that the only certainty is self. Oxford has not accepted the use that "dictionary.com" has which appears to have been pulled from Daily Beast articles, etc.

Ok, so not actual solipsism, the manosphere's special version of it. Ok. By the way, what you're describing is mild schizophrenia.

Define solipsism.

Unfortunate. Funny story: I actually dated a former sex worker for a while. She had done it to, no joke, make enough money to go to college. Then moved half way across the country so it would be unlikely to run into any former clients. She was an incredibly interesting, engaging, insightful, and kind person. Made it easy to see why she was able to make a shitload of money in three years.

Did you see how fast my dude built that strawman? Trump needs to hire this guy to build his wall!

I'm sure you're aware of this, but I can't help but mention there is less than no point in arguing with one of these RP folks. Especially if it's some high schooler who thinks he has stumbled across some higher level of edgy, objective reality.

Dude that's what literally every person I've seen on TRP say it actually is. The top rated comment on here is saying that, in fact, that's exactly what it is.

Read her letter. Read about her waking up in the hospital, having vaginal bleeding, etc. Then the emotional roller coaster ride, the trial, etc. She suffered. She wasn't his girlfriend. It was broken up by two grad students who caught him in the act. He tried to run away and was caught. Bottle and his finger. He took her out of a party after she was blackout drunk and tried to take her home. She passed out on the way. He took her behind a dumpster and violated her. The reason is simple: he's a S…

I see one of them saying "also his dick." I don't agree with that sentiment, which, knowing that poster she is saying the dude is thinking with his dick. There are a few folks like that on TBP but they are a minority. I agree with the overall sentiment of what the posters on that thread say though. The guy blasted his marriage to shreds trying TRP and MRP stuff, although it was probably already on life support. This is actually a good example of why BP exists. I see basically zero success storie…

Um. It seems everyone is shitting on him for setting up online dating profiles. Which it appears the r/deadbedrooms people did too...... Please tell me how pointing out how stupid this is equates to "no empathy for men" as a gender, which is what I was replying to.

And, at the end of the day, this is why AWALT falls in on itself. It's either a device or a philosophy. But when you go on TRP and argue that your partner is, in fact, not like that the response is going to be "yes she is because AWALT, she's not a unicorn." So no, the argument that it's just a rhetorical device designed to describe caution is just straight up untrue because it doesn't allow the argument that there are exceptions.

Another BPer here. I have no clue where you are getting the idea that BPers hate men/think that only women are deserving of empathy. I've never once got on there and felt like someone was posting there who just despised me or other men. But looking at your post history, I realize you don't mean "men" in general. You mean the incels, etc etc etc. Yes, when those guys slap up posts about how much they despise women, "Chads," etc., we make fun of them. I'm not required to walk over to some guy talk…

Weird. I was sure that based on the commentary herein that incel dudes would be lining up left and right with their pants around their ankles and their fudge chutes prepacked with coconut oil. Life is strange.

So has anyone taken advantage of your generous offer to pop their butt cherries yet?

No one abuses them over their lack of sexual activity. We make fun of them because they say things like "not having sex puts me on par with a rape victim" and putting up things about trading places with a 12 year old "Chad."

Yeah I agree with you completely. This is why every time I start thinking of feeling sympathy for these guys I completely change my mind. Their problem is they feel owed something, not that they are supposed to earn something. And that because they can't get what they're owed without making changes they just lash out.

Ok, snuggle bear - I'm 32 and I was in college when the shit hit the fan. My tuition rate was 500% higher than my brother's; who only graduated 7 years before me. Spare us your victim complex please.

Dude. Just a thought. But I don't think my fiancee is a "prize." And, uh.....the girls I dated or slept with previously?....they weren't "prizes" either.....

You know there is a person attached to that vagina, right? It's not like a woman can remove that vagina, leave it in her living room, and you can run in and play with it without her knowing about it. Or is there something I haven't been told?

"the woman (singular) who accused Brian Banks" is quite a leap to "concrete evidence that plenty of false accusers"

I'll tell you why it's so hard to believe: the vast majority of criminals are actually just morons or addicts. It's not that common to come across someone who is just straight up evil. Maybe one defendant qualified, but it wasn't a case I worked. I should note that it is fairly common to come across folks who don't give a shit about anyone else as defendants. But they're rare. And, usually, dumb as shit as well. And Kanin's conclusion that false accusations are withdrawn, normally, "a couple of …

So your suggestion, in that case, is that the vast majority of rape cases I was involved with (where the victim stops cooperating) are all made up? Because if that's the case, my god. We've got to get these unstable, emotional women back in the kitchens where they belong. But, fair enough, word choice - let me change the phrasing: it would take a fucking sociopath to make a choice you regret and then call the police about it. You would have to be completely apathetic to the person you're doing i…

Actually police tend to get that confession. Bringing in an attorney would violate a suspects sixth amendment rights before a formal indictment. What you're guilty of is applying what you think is math to something that defies it. I've s3en women who have had their throats cut refuse to testify against a person who could objectively no longer do them harm. Same as I've seen men refuse to testify against people who were their "friends" even though those friends branded him with a fire poker and t…

Why would that stand to reason? Who is being coerced into false accusations? And by whom?

I suppose if you're one of those people who believes that the vast majority of rape accusations are false this would make sense. And your final point let's me know that your familiarity with this topic is pretty much confined to shitlords and blogging, because if you had any familiarity with this process at all you would understand that being a cooperating victim in a criminal matter is just about the most harrowing experience you can go through. Because, yes, people will call you a liar. To you…

This comment makes no sense. Whether she is attracted to the guy or not doesn't have much to do with rape. And "stories" on reddit about nerdy guys saying "ok" when a girl does not want to have sex has very little to do with anything. During my time with the prosecutor's office there were several rape cases, as well as a few "revenge porn" cases. The vast majority of these folks were not big, jockish, tattooed, scary dudes with records. They were average to nerdy, if I had to put a stereotype on…

Actually those dudes are more likely to rape a woman because she is far more likely to put herself into a position to be vulnerable to a rape with that "nerdy STEM shy" guy. And, yes, those guys are less likely to get into real trouble. Primarily because they are far more likely to have parents who possess the means to go get a really good attorney. Also, the attorney can put the kid on the stand with a nice suit and talk about what a good student he is etc. etc etc. The "tattooed motorcycle gan…
