An intro, from a father looking to the futurePiggybacking off others, I think a lot of the impact (for better or worse) that dads have on their daughters stems from daughters observing how Dad treats his wife, female family members. female coworkers, etc. Every father/daughter relationship is different—maybe they’ll take more after you in their temperament and interests, maybe they’ll take more after Mom. This will impact the relationship (taking after Dad doesn’t mean a daughter can’t or won’t be feminine, btw). I always loved that my dad… | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/05/19 04:34 PM

Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?I don’t think you read what I said. There’s a way to have balance, and deferring law school for 20 years doesn’t make achieving balance more likely. The fact you don’t want a career (I’m assuming) doesn’t invalidate the possibility of having one. I completely support women who want to stay at home or severely limit work outside the house. Doing that would make me unhappy and a bitter, unhappy wife and mom isn’t helping anyone. Yes, the female attorneys I’ve worked for/with who have children are … | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 09:46 PM
Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?Thanks. That makes sense. I lived with a 1L friend a year back and witnessed some divorces through her law school friend group, so I'm definitely trying to be hyper aware of the risks/warning signs. We've had to do premarital counseling through our religion to get married, and it's been a good starting point. | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 05:46 PM
Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?My goal isn't necessarily to be a "high flying lawyer." It's to make a good income and be intellectually, professionally fulfilled. There are lot of routes toward accomplishing that through law, some requiring more hours away from home than others. I've seen women do it a number of ways. "Lawyer or mom, pick one" is a false dichotomy. I have the opportunity now to attend a top law school debt-free. I have no idea if that opportunity will pop up again in 20 years, when we're settled with a mortga… | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 04:01 PM
Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?The alternative to law school is to stay stagnant in the job I'm in now, and to be professionally unfulfilled with a salary that can't climb any higher without a law degree. I really don't consider that an option. 40 hours a week is just not that much work, and I can find legal jobs that allow for that if necessary. | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 03:44 PM
Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?It sounds like you plan to move after leaving Big Law. My law school places well into our target market for living long-term, so hopefully not. FH just accepted a job offer for my law school city/target market, and seemed to be well sought-after. His experience working with head hunting groups suggests that he'll be able to move around easily. | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 03:40 PM
Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?You sound like you’re quite knowledgeable about this. To respond to a few things— My understanding in talking to current law students is that ‘not seeing my SO for the next 3 years’ in LS isn’t necessarily accurate. I’ve heard it’s possible to do well while treating LS like a 40 hr/week job (all bets are off at finals time). I currently work 45 hrs/week and commute 2 hrs a day. I’m going to a top 10 school debt-free thanks to merit aid; we may end up taking our a small loan from my parents to co… | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 12:45 PM
I want to see a discussion about this video, my medical ethics teacher showed us this video during class.Your med teacher’s implication that ‘birth control makes it almost impossible for men to bond!!!’ seemed pretty paranoid to me, and not entirely rooted in science. I apologize if my bit about being on birth control from a young age is too harsh; I’m biased because my friends who got put on at 15/14 and are now 25/24 tend to have tons of sex, but have no idea how their bodies work—i.e., they don’t know what ovulation is, they don’t know how their cycles work, etc. Obviously birth control didn’t c… | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 05:02 AM
Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?We had a conversation a while ago where he was very clear that he is fine with bearing half the child-reading load, he just won’t stand being taken for granted. So I know he’ll call me on my sh*t down the line, if need be. He’s my everything, literally (I’ve been with him since I was 18...). I knew he was a man I could follow when he was strong and confident without being completely driven by money, like my own dad is. I’m optimistic. | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 04:50 AM
Establishing a good dynamic in households where women make more $?Work for 2-3 years, start having babies at ~31, have 2 pregnancies, use $ to take care of housework/cleaning to prioritize quality time with husband/kids. We’re moving back to be near my mom and extended family, as we’ll probably provide my parents with their only grandkids. I’ve seen female attorneys do it and a lot depends on firm culture and work from home options. Also, my husband has the option of not working or reduced hours in the summer, which helps. It’s certainly not an easy road, but … | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 04:44 AM
I think I passed the Final Exam...now what?Yeah, you’re right, she should just talk to him. I’m risk averse so if a guy doesn’t lay his (exclusivity) cards on the table with me, I’ll get skittish and leave. Also, OP—you talk about hamstering because you’re in a vulnerable position. I feel like we usually use hamstering to refer to negative, uncalled for overanalysis or hypergamous urges, but in this case your ‘hamstering’ may just be your intuition! If this guy isn’t making you feel emotionally ‘safe’ after months of seeing each other an… | /r/RedPillWomen | 02/05/19 12:49 AM
I want to see a discussion about this video, my medical ethics teacher showed us this video during class. There are extremes on both ends of the contraceptive spectrum... I’m Catholic, and I know women who try to do strict FAM in accordance to Catholic principles (absolutely no contraceptive measures taken other than abstention if there is sufficient reason why a kid, or another kid, is not ideal at that point); some women are extremely frustrated with that approach because it can require abstention during ovulation, when they’re most horny, and can be difficult to use with a cycle that isn’t super … | /r/RedPillWomen | 01/05/19 11:41 PM
I think I passed the Final Exam...now what?Honestly it’s hard to say. Lots of good signs, but I’d stay cautious if you aren’t his girlfriend yet (it sounds like you’re not exclusive?). This is such a personal thing guy-to-guy...he could be easing into a partnership with you, or he could be a charming but ultimately pointless guy who’s buttering you up. If I was in your shoes I’d give him more chances to be there for you in a boyfriend-like way (see: showing up when he says he will, like your last post) and if he doesn’t demand exclusivit… | /r/RedPillWomen | 01/05/19 11:17 PM

It’s wild how much cooking changes the dynamicThank you!! All of this advice is awesome. We’ve got a couple of married friends in the area, which will be good, but I’m definitely looking forward to the law school couples’ group to find more. I lived with a friend during her 1L year who came straight out of college, and if I devote half the attention to my husband/relationship/home that she devoted to tinder, it should all work out haha. As to recipes—not much to it! French toast was just 2/3 cup milk + 3 eggs + cinnamon + sugar + vanilla pl… | /r/RedPillWomen | 23/04/19 05:33 AM
It’s wild how much cooking changes the dynamicHonestly, if you live together, I think just keeping the space clean/vacuumed with some nice scented candles and freshly washed sheets every week goes a long way! That’s what I focus on most of the time since I don’t cook either. | /r/RedPillWomen | 22/04/19 05:27 PM
Regretting having sex with boyfriend before engagement... Advice?I’m a little confused—are you actually living together or just spending nights together? I ‘gave in’ and had sex with my now-fiancé a year into our relationship, when I was 19. Looking back I don’t regret it because it was sweet being with only him from a young age, but if we’d broken up it would’ve been devastating. As it were, I definitely was concerned about having sex pre-engagement, and I held back on being vulnerable for years (until we got engaged and moved in together). Certainly isn’t g… | /r/RedPillWomen | 22/04/19 04:45 PM
It’s wild how much cooking changes the dynamicThis is all so helpful, thanks. Yeah, believe me, I’m definitely looking into ‘quick meal’ options for law school; the meats we had this weekend were premarinated cuts from Trader Joe’s which are sooo helpful and they have great premade stuff in general. I’ll look into insta pots, I didn’t know there was a big difference. | /r/RedPillWomen | 22/04/19 03:36 PM
What women inspire you? What traits in women do you find yourself admiring? She talks quite a bit about realizing early on in their marriage that Barack was much more adventurous and unpredictable, part because of his intelligence/ambition and in part because he was more comfortable that way due to his upbringing. So Michelle takes it onto her own shoulders to create a balanced, loving homelife for themselves and their daughters (as her own mother had done for herself, her father and her brother). She manages to reiterate that Barack is a great partner and dad while als… | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/04/19 04:50 AM
What women inspire you? What traits in women do you find yourself admiring? To each their own, but with Brittany Pettibone it feels like there’s a lot of hateful views beneath the pretty surface and nice words about femininity. Anyone who is willing to buy into theories about ‘white genocide’ and other white nationalist rhetoric may have a few screws loose. | /r/RedPillWomen | 14/04/19 04:36 AM
