What hit the wall even means? How do you put a value on a human life, the age or ability to have kids is not everything. Our looks does not makes us more valuable unless you are a model and even then is always personal taste. I don't get this argument.

Agreed because. Most male friends I had eventually ask me out, stop being my friend after I got a boyfriend, stop talking to me after they got a girlfriend. Current male friends we are no that close or are friends via family. No real male friend, that is just my friend because we are people.

Same, since I first saw this movie years ago. I knew deep in me that boyfriend was no worth keeping and may as well trow in the friends. Suck negative energy. Their lack of support is just LV.

Agreed, few years ago I started a Okcupid profile. I answered over 100 questions, taking off men without college degree, smoker, etc. I would only look for 90% of above match (men answering same response as me and passing all limits). Even after all of that, I would receive several messages from men each day with simple "Hey'" and "Hi". Rarely few men actually took the time to write a good message. There is just not much you can do. Men will try to match with you every time.

My mom teaching me to clean and cook, saying because once I got marry is important. Because the woman is supposed to do these things. Same about, when you have kids. I was raised to be a housewife, literally my whole life people telling me and teaching to sew, cook, clean, kids care, etc. My grandpa even tell me to not hang out with boys because once you are with a boy you are worthless, so stay a virgin until you marry is a most. My mom not allowing me to play soccer and other sports because wh…

In my home town, bride choose wedding dress (pay by groom). Groom's family plans, pays, and ensure the whole wedding is done correctly. Bride is pick up from her home, and just enjoys wedding.

I once saw a couple, some guy with sport outfit and the girl with pretty dress and hills. We were at the park, hiking. Unsure how that happened.

I was having my hair cut short and the guy cutting my hair asked. Will your boyfriend don't be mad for cutting so much hair? WHAT!! Is my hair, I will do whatever I want. What is this bullshit question.

My friend is the same way, does all these things you mentioned. Actually listens to you during a conversation. Consider other people's feeling. Willing to help people when in need. Smart Funny Well dressed And he is single, not dating, not random hook ups. He is simply happy alone, it appears he is not really for a relationship and currently concentrating on work, friendship, and family. He is super clean and cooks amazing food. I know because he rented a room in my house. He lived with us over …

He is in a seriously relationship and it seems they are actually getting married soon. That is why he is saving money to purchase the house and then proposed. At least financial he is not 100% a loser. He also pays me rent, no living here for free.

Yes, men are just so inconsiderate. I will remind childfree thanks. Currently my brother is living in my house (he is young saving for his home), but the guy just has inconsistency in cleaning. I need to keep reminding him to keep his restroom clean. I feel sorry for his future wife. He is smart and good person, but terrible at keeping clean and helping around. Once he moves out, I will never have anyone live in my house again. Is not worth the trouble.

I am not surprised, same with sexual assault. You just have to deep a little bit and there it is, I personally know at least 8 of my friends or acquaintance who have been sexually molested and I am not a social person, I have limited amount of friends. I am sure most of the sexual assault goes unreported. These men can go to hell.

Agreed, I just don't see the point to waste time and money for what? To have the same last name, how is this important? My college degree already had my name, I am used to my name, I like my name. My name is easy to pronounce. I just simply don't see a good reason to take someone else last name.

Agreed, if you are ready for marriage and waiting for a proposal keep yourself a deadline. There is not point on waiting several years. He is just not prepared or does not have the same goals so is just not the right relationship. Give your own goals and plan a priority.

As an adult is your job to learned basic life skills regardless or your childhood experiences. Is your job to improve your own life. If you are 20+ years and don't even know how to cook, clean, deal with money, etc is your own fault. Don't expect anyone to help you live life.

In a small town where long pretty hair represent fertility and beauty. My mom cared for my hair and let my hair grow pass a classic length since a child. Long and pretty. But she also allowed me and took me to the salon to cut my hair to my shoulders when I asked. Letting me know I own this body and can cut and dye my hair if I choose.

I don't understand why age would have anything to do with our value? We are not an object, we are all human, and live like other humans. Do they meant like fertility? because fertility does not defined our value. Woman are not synonym of mother. Some of us never want to be a mother, some of us are born sterile, and some of us can just adopted a child. And if we do want to consider value, I would argue our value increase over time as we educated ourselves and learn and have more experience over t…

My brother HVM waited over a year for his wife. She is a religious person and wanted to get married a virgin. He waited for her, ask for her hand in marriage with her family, proposed, paid for the whole wedding, and helps taking care of his 2 kids cleaning, cooking, playing with his kids while being the only one working. My friends husband also waited until marriage for same reason. A man will wait for you. A man will care for you and your children.

Agreed, besides if you love someone buying them a nice ring (if that is important to her) should not be an issue. Because when you love someone or you are interested in someone, buying things for them and make them feel appreciated is not/should not be a problem. P.s if you cannot afford this, then maybe you should focus on a career/job no on dating.

I used to give financial advice, and overall life goals advice to my previous relationships, trying to make it work. Trying to make them see why it was important they changed their bad habits. It did not matter, they never changed. At the end I wasted time, energy and left empty handed. In realized people seldomly change, so I needed to move on and find someone who fit my expectations.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/20 08:21 PM

Yes, they are capable. Is because they are not expected to do this job, its always imply that the mom will do it. However, men are like any other human, smart, capable to take on these duties and we need to start changing the perspective. They are also parents and should be responsible to be there changing diapers, caring when kids are sick and so on.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/12/20 07:03 PM

And why is the best outcome mom raising the kid alone and receiving some small child support payment. He helped create this child, he should be expected to be 1/2 the work on raising this new person.

I agreed. Yes, is nice that someone buy you nice gifts or take you to fancy restaurant, but what is really important is the quality of person, how long do I know the person, and if I feel there is a real potential future with this person. I am also super traditional so one night stand and similar are never something I would do, no matter how much money they expended.

I always said it was mutual decision, regardless of who broke up the relationship. This backfire, when I broke my previous engagement and my friend said to me is ok, he will be back. I was like NO, I don't want him to be back. I broke the relationship. I want freedom.

Story time: I was hiking on the city trails and saw a couple walking, it seem like maybe they were on their first date. Him on workout clothes, her on a nice sundress and heels. Yeah I think that was unplanned.

This is just sad, I would not eat this cake. My ex, knew I love pineapple so he made a pineapple upside down cake for me, it was amazing. He is still an ex for other reasons. But my point is, if you really want to make something you tried harder. Make something edible.

I disagree with the "best years" piece. Our worth is not based on our ability to create babies or when we are young. Our best years can also be traveling while on retirement, discovering new hobbies, and discovering new found freedom. She just needs to drop the useless weight (husband).

Getting marry is knowing you are creating a family with a responsible adult, if you cannot afford a ring because you are terrible with money/or keeping a good job then you are not ready for marriage.

Would I do this? Personally no. Yes is probably just tradition men proposing marriage, but the same is wearing rings. Some traditions are just nice to keep. Besides a proposal mainly should not be a surprise, a serious relationship should have marriage as part of the conversation. Even before he proposed we should already agree that marriage is for you and that this is happening. So he proposing is not really a surprise, both already knew this was a thing. The surprise is the ring and or the way…

How I see this: the point of FDS is to have a place to support each other and learn to value ourselves more. To encourage ourselves to seek true partnership. A real relation to bring value to our life. Sure you may feel a little bit down at times, and maybe you are not doing so well in life right now. This is ok. Take this time to learn about yourself, focus on improving your life. You have done a lot so far, caring for your 3 children is not a weakness, being a little overweight does not makes …

Mmm it sucks, but this may not be your husband. If he really wanted to marry you, there should not be a reason to wait. He knows what you want, as the love of his life he should be happy to see you happy and make plans together for future marriage. Either he just does not love you the same or he is not into marriage. Waiting 2 more years or whatever will not change anything. 7 years is already too long to just date and never actually plan for marriage. I think he just does not love you enough to…

He should know. Why hide or drop hints? when in a serious relationship marriage should be one topic of discussion often as you should be planning how marriage life will be. He should know how many kids (if any) you want, financial goals, career goals, and everything else, you get the picture. No hints needed. Just plain serious relationship conversations.

Work on yourself, set life goals, focus on your improvement, exercise. Part of knowing your worth, is knowing that you can support yourself and be happy by yourself. Happiness is within.
