Ive read a handful of pieces but can't say I've digested all the information available just yet, I've got to get on that. And I guess the point I was trying to make, which I didn't illustrate adequately in retrospect, was that we inadvertently focus more of our attention on situations that illustrate our prefabricated notions of how women will act, how many threads have been made on this sub where a women is lauded for an upstanding action that goes against the grain?

An odd cultural discrepancy I've noticed between American and German girls is that women stateside almost expect you to buy them a drink in order to garner their attention whereas Duestch women, whom are taught to be self reliant their whole lives, won't let you buy them a drink unless they're so heavily invested you're basically guaranteed sex that night. I'm in the exact same predicament as you except my parents got a divorce. Mom always wore the pants around the house and my sister acts the same exact way, nagging her way out of every menial responsibility and always having her way.
