Why would moving prove you were? Not living together already proved you were incompatible. I think you might have some codependency issues you need to work out because you should have never made this relationship “work.” I’m surprised he is even choosing to date you himself if he is so different from you. He is too extreme and he will pay for that in his old age unless he found another loner extremist- which is it works for them that’s great! You seem soft and loving, I’m unsure why you would wa…

I can’t believe you moved in with him after all of this. There must be something I’m not understanding. You already know that your relationship isn’t feasible. Sorry that I don’t have much else, but you already are very aware of exactly the kind of relationship you are in. Do you want to live like that for the rest of your life? Do you think you can change him to be more affectionate? To disembark on this rigid path? Probably not.

You have to do it correctly. Slowly, incrementally, lovingly :) it healed my gut infection and gut lining after I cured it! It was instrumental to bringing my body back to normal. Before you know it you will love the cold and it won’t suck, almost ever, if you do it right! You actually should start with luke warm/ cold water for only a few seconds and not your face until you advance. It should take you basically a month to get to the really cold and longer showers/ ice baths! People who go hard …

That’s not true. I have high cortisol and I take several supplemental and perform a few physical healing modalities to reduce cortisol and inflammation that affects my face and belly. Dont let people discourage you from exploring healing modalities, OP.

Well yours is negative thinking and also just not true. My boyfriends don’t participate in porn, and actively avoided and dislikes thirst traps- think Instagram model posts/“fan services”. Same for their interactions in real life. Generalizing men is also just immature pov. Sorry you haven’t experienced a man who isn’t whipped to material desire. It’s a pretty normalized trait, unfortunately. I’ll never go back to a man who doesn’t recognize that porn and obsessive compulsion for women is grotes…

Your opinion is woefully short sighted. It is a helpful and healthy alternative for men who understand the negative implications and effects of porn. This isn’t going to work on a person who doesn’t recognize that fact- ofcourse. Men who purposefully utilize their partners nudes strengthens bonding and sexual desire that is shared with their loved one.

That’s absolutely absurd and extremely irresponsible. I could never be with a man who believes those things. Makes me feel like they are hiding something, even if it is dark thoughts about women at-large. Very concerning.

The entire issue with the book is it takes no accountability for the male-half of the issues. There is nothing in the book that can’t be countered in its own respective way. I do value the book in its attempt to highlight disproportionate disadvantages and assumptions, but any narrative that is that based in victim hood is not genuine.

Its anonymous. He’s just going to be mad that they are against him. You took responsibility for your reaction. I would hope he would do the same.

I also want to suggest not moving in with someone unless you are engaged. It just makes it easier for everyone.

He is using “healthy communication” as a weapon for his own means. Playing a kind of gross head game with that,

Good on you for sticking with him and it’s awesome that he took the steps to recognize and treat his addictions. Sounds very difficult to have to deal with on your part, but how rewarding of a feeling it must have been for him to try for your relationship.

Totally agree. And I don’t have experience using this “method” in a relationship with anyone with an actual porn addiction, but it makes sense that that would hinder true addictions recovery. But I definitely think for “normal” couples who don’t want to participate in pornographic material in the world, but want to still have that visual stimulation I think it’s a great way to harbor that feeling while deepening your relationship.

You’re avoiding the question of what kind of content you’re posting, why you are eliciting such a frequent response from men.

Date a capable, hyper intelligent, kind yet stern man. For me, it takes someone who is more capable than me to relinquish control. They don’t have to be more wealthy than you. They just have to be better than you at more things than you are. Don’t be overtly critical or guarded while dating. Be sweet and feminine, yet mature.

The dynamic sounds off. Why is he going to another women for emotional support? Your forte is just being fun? That’s what you bring to the table? What does he want to “lead” anyway? I don’t understand any of the context here.

This person isn’t worth being with. Something is wrong with them. If I were you I would cut your losses and give him full custody, only if you think it’s safe for your child.

OP, are you never initiating? @DarlinggD Also giving someone a taste of their own medicine is immature especially when it seems you haven’t even had a conversation with them?

That’s a lot to unpack. And I don’t know how you got all that from my comment. I’m saying that he could easily not look at her as his girlfriend, and that going 3 days without communication is not normal.

3 days of no communication especially that early in the relationship if they’re supposed to be exclusive by your standards, is not normal. My boyfriend and I call every day we aren’t together, (I travel for work) and we live together. My previous relationships were the same way, and it isn’t a requirement on my part. It’s basic affection and decency.

What’s high maintenance to one isn’t to another. The other user makes valid points. Many men will use the pen pal as a form of dopamine, and keeping a situationship afloat. I see no indication of simp with the information we currently have. The evidence the other user is correct is that the relationship should have already been defined on his part if it’s been going on for 6 months.

They’re being disgusting and rude. Fight back. Better way to handle this is after you’ve told them you will not be discussing these things with them because it’s completely rude and inappropriate is you literally say nothing when they act up. Just stare at them blanket for a moment and continue doing whatever you were doing, walk away They won’t stop because you’re letting them talk to you like this. Dont let them dominate you. You got this!

People don’t ask a lot of things on this sub that get discussed because it’s imperative to the point of the sub. He might think it’s tacky and that’s not exactly conducive for the relationship. He is already giving you extra money. You’ve only been dating for 4 months. I don’t think it’s fair to ask for both. Maybe you could ask him to buy you things instead of giving you extra money.

Right super tacky to ask for gifts. I don’t care if it’s a love language.

I find it odd the you’ve been dating for 4 months and you feel entitled to ask for gifts. That’s really tacky.

Maybe wait until he asks about it again and that’s a Segway to open the conversation up about it.

Probably shitty red pillers. Ignore them, I’m sorry they’re downvoting you. Your husband’s behavior is extremely reprehensible and not ok. Are you scared for your safety if you were to make him aware of his unacceptable behavior? Why are you with this man?

You sound young, so you should consider exploring the feelings of being grounded and learning ways to connect with yourself. It’s healthy to be alone, sometimes. And actually can feel really good if you utilize it in ways that enable a deeper sense of self. Theres a special feeling of serenity and comfort to be found in being with only yourself in your home :) I highly recommend physical and meditative techniques to help with anxiety, grounding, and formulating a bright connection between the mi…
