Have any of you guys seriously considered suicide after your wife left you ?Yes. I have. I was even more compelled to go through with it when I found out my child who I've raised for 8 years wasn't mine. So I did what I had to do.. I called a friend. I shared my thoughts with family. I met with a therapist and a psychologist and got help. Never think it's okay to keep that shit bottled up. Always go get help. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/01/19 11:33 PM
Down But Not DefeatedDon’t forget this has happened to you. But be mindful that you should be happy it's happening now and you know about it now, then finding out later when it could be much worse! There are a lot of us that feel this way brother! Even as I type this, it doesn't mean I believe it at this very second. But keep reminding yourself....its better now, then later. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/01/19 02:17 PM
Mediation todayI kept my feet planted and my terms in stone. It is very important to stay strong during term agreements! | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/19 02:29 PM
Mediation todayBreathing was important. Mediation is mandatory in my state. The end result left both parties unhappy, but I’m told that’s when it worked the best. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/19 02:27 PM
Mediation todayThis is exactly what happened. All I wanted and asked for was a 50/50 split. Stbx kept reaching for things she couldn’t hold onto. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/19 02:26 PM
Mediation todayI think it might have something to do with her new boyfriend. But I’m not certain. | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/01/19 02:25 PM
My wife has left out of no where now wants divorce...You fight through the pain. You push yourself to get out of your comfort zone. Surround yourself with family. Reach out to friends you haven't seen or talked to in a while. Create new systems and habits outside of what you "only knew". Work more. Go to the gym more. Do more. And whatever you do, never forget the pain. If this has been done to you before, you need to start accepting that maybe some people don't change. And it's your fault for feeling the way you do. Because you're letting it happ… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/08/18 01:34 PM
Regrets after leaving?Having two, happy, separated parents is far greater than two parents without emotion. The house your children will be raised in will be a house with false emotions and no love. They will see it sooner or later. It's better for you, your spouse, and your children, to make hard decisions and do the things that seem difficult, for a healthier lifestyle and relationship for your children in the future. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/08/18 12:46 PM
STBX is angry after 1st day of trialA lot of what she's claiming sounds like she's pulling at strings. She doesn't have any concrete evidence. She might have friends and family spouting testimonies but there is no evidence to back it up. Without that type of evidence I would state that either a) I never told her to quit her job, or b) she said she was unhappy with her job so I told my wife I would support her decision to leave. I did not tell her to quit working and be a caretaker at home. And honestly, I hope my Stbx starts laugh… | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/07/18 03:35 AM
Wife had an affair, need advice.I agree with everyone's post so far. A really important thing for me has been to find people to talk to. Friends. Old friends. Family. To be completed open and honest with. Getting all that out of your head does help daily. Then. Get a lawyer. Get your stuff. Get on. Currently jumping through divorce hoops myself. It's not fun. But its moving along. And the prize is at the end. Where you don't have toxic things in your life, your side of the street is cleaned. You've been open and honest with pe… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/07/18 01:41 PM

My current situation and a little backgroundQuick update as I'm rounding up to the 3rd week. She filed and did not include the child. My lawyer who I got immediately following everyone's advice said my STBX and her lawyer and crazy and to keep documenting. My lawyer filed a good heaping of paperwork and we hope that their filing is dissolved into ours. 3 weeks and Ive seen my son for 5 hours on father's day. 10am - 3am. Enough time for her to grab more of her stuff from the home I still refuse to move out of (but offered her cohabitation)… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/06/18 12:26 AM
