Of course I want both. I live both in frugality and in luxury. It’s mostly a mindset thing. I don’t need physical luxury goods to feel abundant. I don’t feel deprived in any way. I worry about retirement because I don’t ever want to be uncomfortable.

I don’t want luxury bags of anything of the sort. I want more savings for retirement. I give him mixed signals on this front, because I constantly tell him how abundant and luxurious I feel daily, bc I have adopted those mindsets. But I also show my desire for more investments. We are frugal.

I have a part time job and do my best to be frugal while still enjoying life. I am hoping to earn more in the future so we can save more. I need to be more grateful for his provision and show it. Thanks

Finding femininity content helped me get in touch with some desires I hadn’t listened to because I was never encouraged to do so. I am still a minimalist but nothing extreme. I worked a job I hated and decided not to do that anymore. My aspirations have changed but a lot of values are the same. I just hadn’t explored them fully back then.

Man I feel like the mothering is def an issue and while I have improved a lot idk how to stop it. I can be a bit of a control freak wanting things in a certain way instead of letting him do it his way. I don’t think it’s a lost cause though. I will watch the video.

I am going to start therapy soon. More for prevention than anything else. Not sure if I want to talk about this but maybe I should. Maybe it’s key to restore my respect for him. It’s weird but I don’t know that what extent I respect him. What’s that supposed to feel like? I always thought I did but this issue Sometimes makes me question that.

Haha he knows I don’t want babies. That is so easy and simple. I will try. Thank you! I don’t have a lot of faith the ovulation will make a huge difference, but focusing on quality over quantity will for sure ease my mind. You see, it’s that expectation of sex every other day that terrifies me most. I dread it.

Thank you so much for listening and for your suggestions. There’s a lot there that I need to practice. I mentioned the income bc I was trying to mention all the ways in which I would like to be happier with him but who doesn’t want more money? I am generally content but like more money like everyone else. I need to practice gratitude more. I don’t generally mind doing things to him, but it’s when he touches me that I have the hardest time. I don’t like it at all.

This is a can of worms and I am afraid to open, but it might be the path to my answer. Let’s say that I find him inadequate in some ways. Is there anything I can do to inspire change and improve my situation? I would love to know your thoughts.

Very interesting. I never felt dirty or improper, but wanted to stop breaking God’s commandment. I would like to say it was out of love for God, but it was mostly an escape for me. He was offended at first, but eventually understood the biblical perspective. I would love to have passionate sex infrequently than starfish sex a few times a week but is there a loving way to tell your husband that? I am all ears.

When he tries to dominate in bed I freak out. I become so uncomfortable. Do you mean in life overall? He completes his tasks, not always as quickly as I would like and I have frustrations here and there, but I don’t know if this is too harsh an evaluation. I am willing to getting to the bottom of this. I do wish sometimes he was more self directed.I guess there’s very little I can do about that.

Nothing changed externally. He hasn’t changed. Little by little I stopped enjoyed what we were doing, to the point of not wanting to do it at all. As I described in the post, we took a brief break before we got married. Things had been declining at that point and never came back to their original force. Which would be fine with me, but now I have zero desire. Nada.

I didn’t mean to hold back but I don’t know what else to say. I think he’s an attractive man but I don’t desire him anymore. I would be fine not having sex ever again. I added to the post that I have been having tons of wet dreams where I am craving sex, but none of it translates to real life. It’s very frustrating. We get along great and I don’t hold resentments against him. I don’t know what it could be. I am willing to answer any questions. I am grateful to you and everyone else who has kindl…

I don’t track this closely, but I doubt it. I do not have days where all of a sudden I have a lot of interest. Omg I just realized that I left out an important detail. I have a lot of sex dreams where I am craving sex like crazy, and they don’t involve him or any one person in particular. So the desire is there somewhere?

Hey. I don’t know if other women feel this way. What I meant to say is, the woman I want to become has a rich sex life. I think many areas of pleasure and creativity in general are stifled if you hate your sex life. I am young, so what do I know?

Thank you. I started listening to that audiobook a few hours ago haha. I hope it helps. I don’t enjoy it at all. It feels like a burden.

I brought up the income thing not bc I think it’s directly related, but because I was trying to list all the way I am not as happy with him as I would like to be. I used to savor giving him pleasure and getting it. I knew how to express my desires. I was so passionate and was so eager to do it all the time. I had so many ideas of new things to do. I was very open to the pleasure. I have no idea why that faded.

It varies day by day but at least 7 hours a week. We always have dinner together without phones, and talk about our interests or our experiences that day. As bedtime approaches I get extremely anxious and decide whether to “bite the bullet” or make an excuse.

Hi! Looking back I think I used religion as an excuse to get out of it. Things didn’t feel as good anymore. I had a copper IUD and have since then had it removed. I don’t want to make a big deal of it bc I was excited about sex for months while having it in.

I love chatgpt for scientific questions. Why would I use it as a friend or to get social skills? That sounds depressing. Have we gotten to this level of isolation in society? Genuinely curious

I am glad you have had success with them. They have been incredibly frustrating for me. I have installed deleted and reinstalled more times than I can count. I can never find my people and when someone looks interesting they either don’t like me back or they never reply if we match. It makes me question my entire life when I see so many things on there I don’t agree with. It drains me.

I haven’t remotely gotten close to anyone (except that one friendship I mentioned which I wanna love without) to be able to discern if they have these characteristics or not. People don’t approach me in the few places I do go to, and even though I have approached a few, it hasn’t be long enough to let it develop and find out. I try to be friendly without being creepy or aggressive. I am kind. I guess some people are shy. I don’t know what to do anymore, it’s so easy for me to feel defeated with …

Bumble bff and the like are so frustrating. Even when I find and match with someone I like, they either don’t respond or stop responding eventually. I wish homemaking groups were a thing here. I am in one of the most liberal leaning parts of the country and they don’t exist. I want to keep trying at church, though 90% of people are at least 40 years my senior. I don’t want to sound whiny but that’s what my experience has been so far. I need to get back on meet up and try socials on there. Like I…

“It sounds like you don’t enjoy spending time with anyone”. I don’t think this is true. I have enjoyed spending time with a few people over the last couple of years but they didn’t work out as one term friendships. One of them moved away and some things happened that made me doubt her authentic desire to be my friend, and the other one, well, doesn’t have the emotional maturity I seek in a friend. What is wrong with wanting someone similar to you? I truly admire and envy people who can hang out …

I agree I need to be more open-minded because with my current mindset I truly don’t think I will make another friend again. I struggle constantly to define my bare minimum things I want. I can be too judgmental. However I feel like there’s something to be said about our gut reactions to people? Sometiems they are there for a reason?

I really do not want to meet a copy of me, but I think I want some common ground that is very hard to find. I think my relationship with my best friend has set unrealistic expectations of what a friendship can be because even though we don’t agree on everything, we have similar values. She is a great listener, is very emotionally mature, has a growth mindset and is always improving herself, and has a good heart. Those are the main things I want in a friendship. I would have loved to reach out to…

I have a copper IUD because I didn’t want to do anything hormonal. The insertion was very painful. My periods used to be close to painless before, but now I get lots of cramps. I have had for a year. I will see a gynecologist soon to get it checked out. I might remove it and go back to condoms and be more careful of my fertile window so we can avoid sex in that time. I like that copper IUD lasts so long and doesn’t have hormones but I am getting sick of the pain.

Yes to always treat others with respect and love. If you are a Christian, this is even more important. Feminine women are soft. They don’t judge. Minimize your anger. I have been there, but it’s much more worth it to spend your energy in loving others and showing them unconditional acceptance.

There’s nothing wrong or immature about wearing pink and girly clothes. Your demeanor, posture, and attitude speak louder than your clothes. You can balance it out with more mature shoes and jewelry.

I am sorry. I know you don’t want to hear this. In your position, I would inquire more into his plans, and if he can’t make up his mind or go for something that would allow him to provide for his family, I would go. You are young and I bet you love him very much, but you don’t want to go through a life of constant struggle with him. A provider plans his life around supporting his family and doesn’t count on your income for living comfortably. What does he say about your dreams to be a housewife?…

Excellent. It’s the most important book about relationships and femininity that I have read. I am not sure if all the concepts are RPW compatible, but I think most of them would be. The timeless book is more modern and didn’t resonate as well as the vintage version. They tiptoe around controversial topics like gender roles and submission but that’s understandable I guess.

I want to start watching more movies from the 40’s and 50’s. I love how elegant women were back then. I am trying to make the transition to wear only skirts and dresses! Pants can be cute, but they will never be as feminine or comfortable. I am also very interested in improving myself any way I can, but from a feminine energy perspective. I would love to talk to you more! Are you in PDX?
